PGP Harvard Title: GET Conference, GET Labs, and Open Humans About: PersonalGenomes.org would like to invite you to two back-to-back GET events in Boston, Massachusetts: • The 2016 GET Labs on April 25th in Boston, MA • The GET Conference on April 26th in Boston, MA The GET Conference and GET Labs are annual events that celebrate participatory research and the exploration of understanding the connections between "genomes, environment, and traits- (i.e. "GET"). Run by PersonalGenomes.org, these events have brought PGP participants together to meet each other — and meet leaders in the realms of human biology, health, and research. Tickets for the GET Conference are $299, but for qualifying PGP participants attendance is FREE! Whether or not you can attend GET — you're also invited to be an Open Humans member! See details below. GET Conference on April 26th The GET Conference is extending FREE invitations to all Open Humans members who have imported at least two types of data. Qualifying data includes: PGP surveys, PGP genome data, genotyping data (e.g. 23andMe), microbiome data, and fitness tracking data. Come learn from leading experts about integrated "omics" profiles, microbiomes in the built environment and health, artificial intelligence and medicine, and networked biology! At GET Labs, researchers are invited to bring their studies to you: visit them, get kits, sign up and participate to learn more about yourself and contribute to research. (Some people think this is more exciting than the conference!) GET Labs invitations are open to ALL Open Humans members — whether or not they have data — for a nominal fee of $16. There are 15 labs participatory from all over the United States, measuring everything from moles to the microbes in your gut. The goal of Open Humans is to connect your genome data to everything else: microbiomes, viral profiling, and fitness data, and more. The PGP can't study everything! Open Humans helps you connect other types of data to your PGP data, to further your contribution to science. Open Humans also connects you to new research studies, and enables you to share data with studies that want to build on your existing, valuable data! Even if you can't attend GET in person, PersonalGenomes.org invites you to join Open Humans to help connect your data and become part of a larger community.
