Is foot asymmetry a correlate of hand performance asymmetry? Evidence from the Jamaican Symmetry Project. Evolutionary Psychological Science, 1, 13-17. This is an obscure corner of symmetry and 2nd:4th digit ratio theory, but once again our long-term Jamaican data are making a unique contribution. 2—Trivers, R., Fink, B., Russell, M., McCarty, K. James, B. and Palestis, B. B. 2014. Lower Body symmetry and sunning performance in elite Jamaican track and field athletes. *PLOS ONE *9(11): e113106. doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0113106 3— Fink, B. and Trivers, R. 2014. Cognitive simplicity and self-deception are crucial in martyrdom and suicide terrorism. Behavioral and Brain Sciences 37: 366-367. 4-ICalokerinos, E.K., von Hippel, W., Henry, J.D. and Trivers, R. 2014. The aging positivity effect and immune function: Positivity in recall predicts higher CD4 counts and lower CD4 activation. Psychology and Aging.doi.org/10.1037/a0037452 EFTA00860559 In this paper, for the first time, immune function in the elderly is shown to be associated with a greater positivity bias on their part, as psychometrically measured variable of some accuracy. 5—Manning, J.T., Fink, B. and. Trivers, R. 2014. Digit ratio (2D:4D) and gender inequalities across nations. Evolutionary Psychology 12: 706-717. We have here uncovered a most interesting correlation between gender inequality and a putatively unassociated variable, namely the relative length of the the digit finger compared to the ringer finger in the two sexes (2nd:4th digit ratio)—the relevant intervening variable seems to be the relative degree of testosterone vs estrogen in utero—the more they are similar in the two sexes, the less female inequality, e.g. in labor and parliamentary participation. 6—Fink, B., J.T. Manning and R. Trivers. 2014. Body symmetry and physical strength in human males. American Journal of Human Biology 26: 697-700. We have shown that bodily symmetry is positively associated with physical strength in men, not surprising but still of some importance to the larger literature. 7—Trivers, R., Palestis, B.G., Fink, B., and Manning, J.T. 2014. Is foot asymmetry a correlate of hand performance asymmetry? Evidence from the Jamaican Symmetry Project. Evolutionary Psychological Science DOI10.1007/s40806-014-0002-4 8—Palestis, B.G., Trivers, R., Zaatari,D. 2014. Symmetry and dance: A case of scientific fraud. The Winnower.
