Jeffrey
i enjoyed talking to you
i like the opposition between math and biology
here is the more striking of the two papers i mentioned--inhibiting a
deception-related area of the brain improves deception in multiple ways
faster response when lying
less guilt
less physiological arousal (GSR)
and more effective deception (that is, when it can be helpful)
work also tends to confirm that the particular area of the brain really is
involved in controlling deception (aPFC)
i will check out the other paper later; feel free to call whenever you
wish (October 14 to 27 i will be in Germany, but can usually call you from
there)
all the best
bob
