Hi Jeffrey,
In order to have a finer and more luxurious carpet my recommendation is to switch to a cashmere wool or a wool/silk
blend. The New Zealand wool that most of our aviation vendors are using will yield a similar result as the first samples as
they use a 2 ply yarn in the machine which results in a less refined and "fuzzy finish" , if you will.
Attached are two carpets from the handmade mill created using a super fine cashmere wool and cashmere wool/ silk. I
can send to you for tomorrow in NY.
Pic 1— Handmade super fine 1pl wool for the cut and loop.
Pic 2 — Handmade super fine wool with tussah silk (not as brilliant) or the mulberry silk (shimmery). The loop will be the
wool and the cut in silk for softness and more luxurious finish.
Both carpets are produced at a handmade mill overseas and are working to expedite this for me but I need to move very
quickly as it will take time to have an actual cutting produced for approval.
Please let me know if this is more to your liking so I can keep pushing forward.
Thank you.
Eileen
