There was a press release some years ago about support of his work; that's why I emailed you. His work is quite interesting and his sense of mission seems quite authentic. I didn't really follow some important details about how he's dealing with the limits of convolutional neural nets but I did enjoy his comments about the choice to open-source it and the different values at stake in doing so. The topic was a collaboration to make unconditionally loving robots -- between his org., the Institute of Noetic Sciences Lab, and Hanson Robotics.
