Polls Show Many Top Races Dead Even LCV and our two political committees - LCV Action Fund and LCV Victory Fund - are running major grassroots campaign operations against climate deniers in seven major battleground Senate states including: Nevada, Washington, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. Updates from two of those Senate races are below: Pennsylvania: Rep. Joe Sestak is running in a very tight race against ex-Rep. Pat Toomey, the former President of the radical right-wing group Club for Growth.  Recent polls have shown both Sestak and Toomey trading the lead in the race by a point or two every few days. A Muhlenberg poll released on October 22nd showed a tie with both Sestak and Toomey at 43 percent. Few races in the country are as tight as the Pennsylvania Senate race. In mid-September, LCV began a joint canvass program with our partners - VoteVets and National Wildlife Federation Action Fund - a collaboration that allows us to reach persuadable voters in key Pennsylvania precincts across the state. Colorado: Senator Michael Bennet is running an extremely competitive race against climate denier, Ken Buck. Most recent polls show this race within the margin of error with each candidate trading the lead every few days. LCV is currently running a joint canvass program in Colorado with our state LCV partner, Colorado Conservation Voters, to elect Bennet as well as three state legislative candidates.  We have recently aired new TV ads in the Colorado Senate race and produced a web video on Buck's Flat Earth stance on global warming.
