Dear Friends and Neighbors,
EFTA01191550
We continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Danny, which has
weakened in the last couple of hours.
At this time there are no alerts, watches or warnings issued to
coastal South Florida. A Tropical Storm Watch is in place for the
Leeward Islands.
The Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are expected to
receive some heavy rain and wind.
The 11:00 a.m. advisory located Hurricane Danny about 660 miles east
of the Leeward Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The forecast has
Danny on a west-northwest track, reaching the Leeward Islands by
Monday. According to the 11:00 a.m. advisory issued by the National
Hurricane Center, tropical storm-force winds are expected up to only
about 60 miles from the center of circulation.
Our 2015 Miami Beach Hurricane Guide is a valuable resource filled
with information on how to stay ahead of the storm by being prepared.
Also, you can track the latest path of the storm at:

As always, we will keep you updated and informed.
Sincerely,
Philip Levine
Mayor of Miami Beach
