Dear Friends and Colleagues,
This serves to announce that, as of July 1, 2017, I will no longer be employed at Rutgers University. I have
taught biology full time for 44 straight years and it is painful to have this vital role removed from me.
There are several implications of general utility:
1—I will no longer have a Rutgers e-mail address ). Fortunately I have now stored all
such addresses and mail and will up through the end of this month.
So if you wish to contact me, please do so at the current address
All mail will be stored as usual and I will respond directly.
Should you forget this address, it will be available on (as will my new mailing address).
2-I will no longer have a Rutgers mailing address. Instead, any and all mail should be sent to my Florida
address:
3-I am in need of a job—full-time, half-time, part-time, visiting lecturer and so on. I am attaching my latest
Vitae in case it provides useful information on courses taught, lectures given, articles ublished and so on. All
papers and two books can be directly downloaded from my website, as well as numerous talks
and related material.

I live now on my property in rural Jamaica. It is a naturalist's paradise, with trees, birds and tree-climbing lizards
being its specialty. But there is not another evolutionary biologist within 20 miles. I can't walk down the hall and
ask a friend if she or he has heard that Neanderthal might have gotten herpes from us. I miss that. I need to live
in a town with at least a small college or University campus.
Any help that can be offered will be deeply appreciated.
With every good wish,
Robert Trivers
