[00:00:00] Dear Ukrainians, today there is a
[00:00:02] decision of our state on sanctions
[00:00:04] against Alexander Lucenko. We respond
[00:00:07] with such decisions to the obvious
[00:00:09] greater involvement of Bellarus in
[00:00:10] Russia's war against Ukraine.
[00:00:13] Lucenko is used to bargaining away his
[00:00:15] country's sovereignty and has
[00:00:16] surrendered many of Bellarus's interests
[00:00:18] to the Russians.
[00:00:20] Even the full-scale war was brought to
[00:00:22] Ukraine by Russia, including from the
[00:00:24] territory of Bellarus.
[00:00:27] But for a long time, Lucenko still
[00:00:29] refrained from his direct harsh actions
[00:00:31] in favor of Russia.
[00:00:35] But since last fall, Ukraine has been
[00:00:36] detecting repeaters on the territory of
[00:00:38] Bellarus that work to support attack
[00:00:40] drones.
[00:00:42] It was thanks to these repeaters that
[00:00:44] Russia carried out strikes on our
[00:00:46] northern regions
[00:00:49] from Kev and Kev region to Volen region.
[00:00:52] These were strikes on the energy sector
[00:00:54] on our railway.
[00:00:56] Also, unfortunately, Lucenko continues
[00:00:59] to play along with Putin in his
[00:01:00] dangerous geopolitical game with
[00:01:02] Orchnik.
[00:01:04] This is a panuropean threat.
[00:01:07] Also, Bellarus continues to be used as a
[00:01:09] base for the supply of components,
[00:01:11] equipment, and machinery for the Russian
[00:01:12] army.
[00:01:14] Taken together, all of this means that
[00:01:16] we are also changing our policy and will
[00:01:18] respond appropriately to the threat.
[00:01:21] Minsk should understand this. There is
[00:01:24] this political signal and sanctions. I
[00:01:27] ordered a thorough review of Lucenko's
[00:01:29] schemes and his accompllices.
[00:01:32] We will counteract more tangibly and we
[00:01:34] will work with our partners in the
[00:01:35] region and throughout Europe also with
[00:01:38] global partners
[00:01:42] so that they are fully aware of what
[00:01:43] they are dealing with when it comes to
[00:01:45] the regime in Barus.
[00:01:49] Barus, the country and its people must
[00:01:51] not be lost to Europe. But the
[00:01:53] individual who puts Belarus in service
[00:01:55] of Russia certainly should be
[00:01:59] today. We spoke in detail several times
[00:02:01] with our team at the talks in Geneva. It
[00:02:04] was the second day of the meeting and
[00:02:06] the trilateral format as well as other
[00:02:08] formats.
[00:02:10] Ukraine is interested in the result.
[00:02:13] As of today, we cannot say that the
[00:02:15] result is sufficient.
[00:02:17] The military discussed
[00:02:21] some of the issues seriously and
[00:02:22] substantively. Sensitive political
[00:02:25] issues, issues about possible
[00:02:26] compromises and the necessary meeting of
[00:02:28] leaders have not yet been sufficiently
[00:02:30] worked out.
[00:02:32] We expect the next meeting and it would
[00:02:34] be right to hold it as early as
[00:02:36] February.
[00:02:38] It is important that Europeans were
[00:02:40] present, France, Britain, Germany,
[00:02:41] Italy, Switzerland as the host country.
[00:02:45] It is we in Ukraine who always promote
[00:02:47] the position that Europe should be a
[00:02:48] participant in the process.
[00:02:52] I want to thank the United States of
[00:02:54] America for hearing this position.
[00:02:56] I also task the delegation to discuss
[00:02:58] the humanitarian track. Prisoner
[00:03:01] exchanges and the release of civilians
[00:03:03] are needed.
[00:03:06] We are looking for information on each
[00:03:07] person and are always working to bring
[00:03:09] our own to bring Ukrainians home.
[00:03:14] Every exchange matters.
[00:03:17] I am also grateful to our fighters on
[00:03:19] the front lines who carry out active
[00:03:20] operations and replenish the exchange
[00:03:22] pool for us for Ukraine.
[00:03:26] And it is the courage of our fighters
[00:03:27] that provides all this humanitarian
[00:03:30] results and in general our ability to
[00:03:32] diplomacy, our strong diplomatic
[00:03:34] positions.
[00:03:38] It is important when these positions are
[00:03:39] common when we all in Ukraine are
[00:03:41] working to ensure that Ukraine survives,
[00:03:43] defends itself, and achieves a decent
[00:03:45] peace.
[00:03:48] Any other policy in Ukraine right now is
[00:03:51] completely unnecessary.
[00:03:53] This is a time of war, a time of defense
[00:03:55] of our state, protection of our people.
[00:03:58] Personal matters can wait.
[00:04:01] That's why I want to thank everyone
[00:04:03] defending Ukraine, protecting Ukrainian
[00:04:05] interests as if their own, whether in
[00:04:06] any position, any job, or any role.
[00:04:10] Take care of Ukraine. Take care of
[00:04:12] people. Glory to Ukraine.
