[00:00:00] Joining us is budget chair Lindsey
[00:00:01] Graham from the great state of South
[00:00:03] Carolina. Welcome, Mr. Chairman. You
[00:00:05] were with the president yesterday and
[00:00:08] today. What what happened in Venezuela
[00:00:11] to me has ramifications far beyond that
[00:00:14] single country.
[00:00:17] >> Well, number one, from an American point
[00:00:19] of view, what happened in Venezuela
[00:00:22] takes the bad taste of Afghanistan out
[00:00:24] of our mouths. We left Afghanistan in
[00:00:27] shame. We withdrew all of our forces.
[00:00:30] The terrorists took over. It was a low
[00:00:32] moment to see America flying out with
[00:00:35] people hanging on the wings and the
[00:00:37] wheels. Looked like Vietnam all over
[00:00:39] again. What did we see a couple of days
[00:00:42] ago? America at her best. Our men and
[00:00:45] women in the military doing the
[00:00:47] unbelievable as if it was routine. A
[00:00:50] commanderin-chief that doesn't overthink
[00:00:53] the fact that Maduro and Venezuela are
[00:00:56] bad. They're hurting America. He gave
[00:00:59] him every chance to leave. He could be
[00:01:01] in Turkey now, Madura, but he's in jail
[00:01:04] because he miscalculated Trump. What
[00:01:07] happened was there's one less country on
[00:01:09] the planet pretty soon, not quite yet,
[00:01:12] that will be a safe havenarot terrorist
[00:01:14] drug cartels that will be aligned with
[00:01:17] Hezbollah. Better days are ahead in
[00:01:19] Venezuela. Hats off to the brave men and
[00:01:22] women of the military who did an amazing
[00:01:25] military operation. You you heard it,
[00:01:27] Trey. You were with him today. It's a
[00:01:29] story of legend. But the
[00:01:31] commander-in-chief does matter. With
[00:01:33] Donald Trump, you have a bold visionary
[00:01:36] who doesn't look for conflict, but will
[00:01:39] not be trifled with. So here's the
[00:01:41] message for the world. If you're hurting
[00:01:43] America, you do so at your own peril.
[00:01:49] >> All right, chairman. If I am sitting in
[00:01:51] Cuba right now and I even see a flight a
[00:01:54] kite flying over my head, I'm ducking
[00:01:57] for cover. I mean, is Cuba next?
[00:01:59] >> Yeah.
[00:02:01] >> Yeah. The communist dictatorship in Cuba
[00:02:03] will soon come to an end. 30% of the oil
[00:02:06] to supply the Cuban economy comes from
[00:02:08] Venezuela. Uh again, we got some work to
[00:02:11] do in Venezuela, but we'll get there.
[00:02:13] They will be denied that oil. Um, the
[00:02:16] new leadership coming through a free and
[00:02:19] fair election, hopefully will happen
[00:02:20] sooner rather than later, is going to
[00:02:22] reject communist Cuba. Communist Cuba is
[00:02:25] a dictatorship that's killed priests and
[00:02:28] nuns. Um, they've sent tens of thousands
[00:02:32] of people to our country here illegally.
[00:02:35] Uh, um, people have fled Cuba looking
[00:02:38] for freedom. Uh, the communist
[00:02:40] dictatorship stays are numbered. There's
[00:02:43] no way that the communist dictatorship
[00:02:47] in Cuba survives after the takedown of
[00:02:50] Madura. It is over. It's just a matter
[00:02:53] of time. And Donald Trump will have done
[00:02:56] something that saluted America since the
[00:02:58] 50s. Deal with a communist dictatorship
[00:03:01] 90 miles off the coast of Florida. Uh I
[00:03:04] can't wait till the day comes to our
[00:03:06] Cuban friends in Florida and throughout
[00:03:08] America. the liberation of your homeland
[00:03:12] is um close.
[00:03:16] >> All right, chairman, let me span the
[00:03:18] globe with you. How do you see the
[00:03:20] protests that are unfolding in Iran? And
[00:03:22] is this an opportunity to rid the world
[00:03:25] of the single biggest sponsor of
[00:03:27] terrorism?
[00:03:29] [clears throat]
[00:03:30] Well, all the people who were protesting
[00:03:33] for the Palestinians, where are you
[00:03:35] today? Uh, standing behind the people of
[00:03:38] Iran are trying to throw over the
[00:03:40] Ayatollah, who's a religious Nazi, who
[00:03:43] who killed a 16-year-old girl for not
[00:03:45] wearing a head cover on a bus, who's
[00:03:47] tortured, raped, and maimed the
[00:03:49] population, who is the largest state
[00:03:51] sponsor of terrorism on the planet. The
[00:03:54] people are in open revolt. They've
[00:03:56] chosen not to live this way anymore. And
[00:03:59] unlike Obama, President Trump has not
[00:04:01] turned his back on the people of Iran.
[00:04:04] So I pray and hope that 2026 will be
[00:04:11] the year that we make Iran great again.
[00:04:17] >> All right. Speaking of 2026, new year,
[00:04:20] new chance at something called
[00:04:21] reconciliation. You're the budget chair.
[00:04:24] What do you want to see? Yeah,
[00:04:27] >> another bill. And we had a talk today
[00:04:29] with President Trump. I'm going to meet
[00:04:32] with him and some others uh maybe as
[00:04:34] early as Monday to put together a second
[00:04:36] reconciliation package. The first
[00:04:38] package, the big beautiful bill, we had
[00:04:40] the largest tax increase in American
[00:04:42] history without one Democrat vote
[00:04:44] because all you need is 50 votes under
[00:04:46] reconciliation. We had the largest
[00:04:48] spending cut in American history without
[00:04:50] one Democratic vote. We had hundreds of
[00:04:52] billions of dollars to secure the border
[00:04:54] without one Democratic vote because they
[00:04:56] wouldn't vote for these things. Round
[00:04:57] two. What do I want? I want to go after
[00:05:00] welfare fraud. I want to rewrite the way
[00:05:02] the programs work. I want to make sure
[00:05:04] that every state before they get a
[00:05:06] dollar for food stamps or any form of um
[00:05:10] welfare that they send biometrics to the
[00:05:13] federal government proving that the
[00:05:14] person exists and they're eligible for
[00:05:17] the services in question. I want to go
[00:05:19] after the fraud that's so rampant in
[00:05:21] Minnesota and throughout these blue
[00:05:22] states through reconciliation. And
[00:05:25] second, I want to do an affordability
[00:05:27] package making America more affordable
[00:05:30] uh to the hardworking men and women of
[00:05:32] this country through reconciliation.
[00:05:35] Stay tuned. It is coming.
[00:05:39] >> All right, Chairman. It was great fun
[00:05:40] being with you and the president last
[00:05:42] night and again this morning. Uh feel
[00:05:44] free to Venmo me the money that you lost
[00:05:46] to me on the golf course. I do accept
[00:05:48] Venmo. Until then,
[00:05:50] >> I'll see
[00:05:51] >> you. You take care.
[00:05:52] >> Well, here's the good news, Trey. Here's
[00:05:54] here's the good news. I'm going to pay
[00:05:56] you, but be it will be in Venezuelan
[00:05:58] dollars. So, [laughter]
[00:06:00] >> good luck.
[00:06:00] >> I can't wait.
[00:06:02] >> All right. Have a great week, Senator
[00:06:04] Lindsey Graham. Thank you.
