[00:00:00] We need to talk about Second Amendment. [00:00:02] Second Amendment [00:00:02] >> because this is a thing. It was bubbling [00:00:05] up yesterday and we didn't really touch [00:00:06] it uh too much, but we want to hit it [00:00:09] harder today. It's been going back and [00:00:11] forth. There's been [00:00:13] >> we're sort of seeing a reversal of form [00:00:16] typically because [00:00:18] for years it was you'd have the right [00:00:20] would sometimes bring guns to protests [00:00:22] and obviously there was a lot of [00:00:23] hysterics and the left is pushing hard [00:00:24] for gun control. It's been a little [00:00:26] different in Minnesota because some of [00:00:28] these Antifa people or just some of the [00:00:30] anti-ICE people in general have been [00:00:32] armed and of course uh Alex Prey was [00:00:35] armed as well and that seems to have [00:00:36] unfortunately caused his death. And so [00:00:39] there's been a few lines that have been [00:00:41] used. Uh one of them was from FBI [00:00:44] director uh Cash Patel. He said this on [00:00:46] Sunday. We'll use that as setup. Let's [00:00:48] play clip 281. [00:00:51] As Christie said, you cannot bring a [00:00:53] firearm loaded with multiple magazines [00:00:56] to any sort of protest that you want. [00:00:58] It's that simple. You don't have that [00:00:59] right to break the law and incite [00:01:02] violence. [00:01:03] >> And similarly, uh, DHS Secretary [00:01:06] Christine Nome, she also said on [00:01:09] Saturday, I don't know of any peaceful [00:01:11] protester who shows up with a gun and [00:01:13] ammunition rather than a sign. And she [00:01:17] there was some context to that, but she [00:01:18] was basic, you know, that's that's what [00:01:20] gets gets clipped. And we've seen that a [00:01:22] few different times from a few different [00:01:23] people. And first of all, we have to [00:01:26] warn everyone that no, you actually you [00:01:28] do have the right to bring a gun to a [00:01:31] protest. Many conservatives have done [00:01:32] that. And it would be a huge mistake if [00:01:35] we suddenly reversed course on that [00:01:36] because the left would be overjoyed to [00:01:38] team up with us to say, "Oh, you [00:01:40] actually can't bring guns to protests." [00:01:42] and then we would permanently forfeit a [00:01:44] second amendment right over a temporary [00:01:48] issue. But we do have to make sure our [00:01:52] messaging on this is is good. It is it [00:01:54] is correct. And what some people have [00:01:56] emailed us in, some people have [00:01:58] commented, they've said, "Oh, well, you [00:02:00] know, you're, for example, they've said [00:02:01] you're legally required to tell an [00:02:04] officer if you're armed or all of that." [00:02:07] You're actually not. I looked this up in [00:02:08] Minnesota. You're required to tell an [00:02:10] officer if they ask. And that is the [00:02:12] most common law in most of the US is if [00:02:14] a police officer asks whether you have a [00:02:16] weapon, you have to tell them. But only [00:02:18] in a few are you affirmatively required [00:02:20] to just disclose this information if [00:02:22] interacting with an officer. But what [00:02:25] our messaging should instead I think [00:02:26] need to be is this is basically actually [00:02:28] about gun safety like responsible gun [00:02:32] ownership. And if you take a firearms [00:02:35] class, they're basically going to tell [00:02:37] you you can't have ego while carrying a [00:02:39] gun. This is a dangerous item and you [00:02:43] have to use it responsibly. You are [00:02:45] carrying something that if you screw up, [00:02:46] it can get you killed. It can get other [00:02:48] people killed. And that's really the [00:02:50] tragedy of what happened over the [00:02:53] weekend in this ICE shooting is that he [00:02:55] was getting in a he he'd gone to a [00:02:58] protest and then not only that, ended up [00:03:00] in a situation where [00:03:03] bad stuff could happen. And if you're [00:03:06] carrying a gun around a bunch of [00:03:07] officers while people are blowing [00:03:09] whistles and people are getting shoved, [00:03:12] people are getting dragged around, [00:03:14] everyone's getting screamed at, the [00:03:16] officers themselves are worried someone [00:03:18] is going to pull a gun and attack them, [00:03:20] and you're carrying a gun and [00:03:21] approaching them, it has to enter your [00:03:24] thought. There are a lot of ways that [00:03:26] this could go wrong. If you're stressed [00:03:28] about getting out of debt, timing [00:03:30] matters. Listen to this. The Federal [00:03:32] Reserve says many banks are tightening [00:03:34] their standards, which means right now [00:03:37] may be your best window to negotiate [00:03:38] debt settlements before lenders tighten [00:03:41] further. That's why I recommend Done [00:03:43] with Debt. They're experienced at [00:03:44] navigating debt relief without [00:03:46] bankruptcy or new loans. They know who's [00:03:48] negotiating and how to get the biggest [00:03:50] reduction possible. So, don't wait. [00:03:52] Visit donewithd.com [00:03:54] now for a free consultation. That's [00:03:57] donewithd.com. [00:03:59] donewithd.com. [00:04:04] >> Yeah. And I just want to make one thing [00:04:05] clear. I completely agree with every [00:04:06] point you just made. Pretty was not at a [00:04:09] protest. There was no protest when he [00:04:12] was shot. The the protest arrived after [00:04:15] he was shot. He was involved in an [00:04:18] organized direct action to impede [00:04:20] federal law enforcement. So, let's just [00:04:22] get that very, very clear. Do I think [00:04:24] this was a good shooting? Candidly, like [00:04:26] I, you know, probably not. Okay. But to [00:04:30] Blake's point, when you take a firearm [00:04:32] into public, you are taking a [00:04:34] responsibility. I made this point [00:04:35] yesterday. This is why if you have a [00:04:37] firearm in your car and you get pulled [00:04:40] over, you turn the car off, you take the [00:04:42] keys, you put them on the dash, hands it [00:04:44] tend to where they can see him, the [00:04:46] officer approaches your window, and you [00:04:47] say, "Officer, I have a firearm in this [00:04:50] vehicle." And the officer goes instantly [00:04:52] knows he's working with a responsible [00:04:54] individual. Okay? Yeah. [00:04:55] >> When you don't do this because you're [00:04:57] legally required to do this. You do this [00:04:59] because you're not a and you don't [00:05:01] want to die and you don't want anyone [00:05:02] else to die. [00:05:02] >> You don't want the cop freaking out. [00:05:04] People have to understand something. [00:05:07] >> Law enforcement are involved in very [00:05:09] risky operations. They are pulling over [00:05:12] and abduct apprehending traffickers, [00:05:15] drug traffickers, cartel members. These [00:05:17] are some of these are homic uh literally [00:05:19] have been convicted of homicide. These [00:05:22] are high-risk, high tension situations. [00:05:25] And then they got all these Yahoos going [00:05:27] around them with bells and or ring uh [00:05:29] blowing uh whistles, shouting [00:05:32] profanities, spitting at them, throwing [00:05:34] ice blocks at them, and they're supposed [00:05:36] to do their job as if they're cool, [00:05:38] calm, and collected, cool as a cucumber. [00:05:40] You are expecting too much. So when you [00:05:43] go there and you nitpick about the way [00:05:45] that they do things, I listen, I got [00:05:48] news for you. You put yourself into a [00:05:49] position where you have to go arrest bad [00:05:51] guys and see how well you you perform [00:05:53] under under fire. Okay? When the tension [00:05:56] is high, bad things happen. The dumbest [00:05:59] thing you can then do is be like pretty [00:06:02] and go into that situation, make it even [00:06:04] more difficult. Throw up this image of [00:06:06] Kyle Written House. This is these are [00:06:07] the these are the comparisons that are [00:06:08] happening. They're saying Kyle [00:06:09] Writtenhouse was caring in public. There [00:06:12] is this image of him approaching law [00:06:14] enforcement, hands up. Do you see that? [00:06:17] He's approaching law enforcement. He's [00:06:19] putting his hands where the police [00:06:20] officers can see them, saying, "I'm not [00:06:22] a threat to you. Officers, I need your [00:06:25] help. I'm not a threat." Because he was [00:06:27] coming in respect because he was not [00:06:29] their enemy. Pretty unfortunately, I [00:06:33] wish he was alive today, but he [00:06:35] unfortunately was coming at law [00:06:36] enforcement and resisting them, trying [00:06:39] to impede them, signaling that he was an [00:06:42] their enemy, that he was against their [00:06:43] actions, and bad things happen. Okay, [00:06:47] this is very very simple. When you are a [00:06:49] firearm owner and if you take that into [00:06:52] public, the responsibility is on you to [00:06:55] make sure law enforcement knows that you [00:06:56] are not a threat to their lives. They [00:06:58] want to go home to their families,
