[00:00:00] um he played a central role in the
[00:00:02] October 23rd 1983 bombing of the US
[00:00:07] Marine Corps barracks in Beirut which
[00:00:09] killed
[00:00:10] 241 US military personnel and wounded
[00:00:13] 128 others there's a 5 million doll
[00:00:16] bounty on his head by the United States
[00:00:19] when he was killed uh in Lebanon Tuesday
[00:00:24] yesterday Hamas Chief political leader
[00:00:27] ishal hania was killed in a strike in
[00:00:31] tran Iran he has been the political
[00:00:35] leader of Hamas since 200 and
[00:00:39] 17 Israel is right to hit the leaders
[00:00:44] and masterminds of
[00:00:46] terrorism organizations been under the
[00:00:49] destruction of the Jewish state anytime
[00:00:54] anywhere it is time to end the
[00:00:57] charade that the world is playing when
[00:00:59] it comes to Hamas Hezbollah and Iran
[00:01:03] they're one and the
[00:01:04] same so I will be proposing
[00:01:09] legislation uh a resolution a sense of
[00:01:12] the Senate resolution I introduced today
[00:01:15] that says that any escalation by
[00:01:19] Hezbollah against Israel that leads to a
[00:01:22] major confrontation should be viewed as
[00:01:25] an attack carried out and executed by
[00:01:28] Iran
[00:01:30] during the Cuban Missile Crisis
[00:01:32] President Kennedy rightly indicated that
[00:01:35] an attack emanating from Cuba against
[00:01:38] the United States would be an attack
[00:01:41] emanating from the Soviet Union we would
[00:01:43] hold the Soviet Union liable for any
[00:01:46] attack coming from Cuba because Cuba was
[00:01:49] a proxy of the Soviet Union that same
[00:01:53] Doctrine in my view applies to
[00:01:56] Iran what should the target list in
[00:02:00] clude where's
[00:02:04] mine not only should Israel hold Iran
[00:02:09] accountable for any escalation by
[00:02:11] Hezbollah the United States should do
[00:02:13] the same what should the target list
[00:02:16] include it should include those
[00:02:18] facilities most vital to the funding of
[00:02:22] terrorism it should include refineries
[00:02:33] if Hezbollah attacks Israel it's my hope
[00:02:37] they will have one less Refinery than
[00:02:40] they do today it is time to hit the
[00:02:43] Ayatollah in the
[00:02:45] pocketbook his oil refineries are the
[00:02:48] lifeblood of his
[00:02:50] regime without those refineries they
[00:02:53] would not be able to fund terrorism so I
[00:02:56] am going to ask the body to take up this
[00:02:59] res resolution in September and see
[00:03:01] where the Senate is on the idea that
[00:03:04] Iran and Hezbollah are the same without
[00:03:08] Iran hasah has no money they have no
[00:03:11] technology no weapons to wage war
[00:03:14] against
[00:03:16] Israel I just read the Director of
[00:03:19] National Intelligence report regarding
[00:03:22] the status of the Iran nuclear program
[00:03:26] it was
[00:03:27] unnerving and I would urge every member
[00:03:30] of the House and the Senate to read it
[00:03:32] the advancements made by the Iranian
[00:03:36] regime regarding uh weapons grade
[00:03:40] plutonium is
[00:03:42] unnerving their ability to enrich to
[00:03:45] weapons grade is now a matter of weeks
[00:03:48] not months their ability to weaponize
[00:03:52] the material has
[00:03:54] advanced and it is now time for Congress
[00:03:58] to lend their voice to the proper
[00:04:00] response today I'm in introducing a
[00:04:04] resolution that would authorize the use
[00:04:07] of military force by the United States
[00:04:10] to stop an Iranian nuclear
[00:04:14] breakout the resolution would be
[00:04:16] triggered if the president
[00:04:19] determines that Iran possesses uranium
[00:04:22] enriched to a weapons grade level a
[00:04:25] nuclear warhead or to possess a delivery
[00:04:29] vehicle cap capable of delivering a
[00:04:31] nuclear device against Israel or other
[00:04:36] allies of the United
[00:04:38] States Iran will keep going until
[00:04:41] somebody tells them to
[00:04:43] stop it is time to put red lines on
[00:04:46] their nuclear
[00:04:47] program the idea of ambiguity is not
[00:04:52] working as we talk about their program
[00:04:55] their program gets larger and more
[00:04:58] lethal after having viewed the dni
[00:05:02] report I believe it is a
[00:05:06] certainty that if we do not change
[00:05:08] course Iran will in the coming weeks or
[00:05:12] months possess a nuclear
[00:05:15] weapon this in my view would be the
[00:05:18] ultimate game Cher in the midd East the
[00:05:22] response of the Arab world was to would
[00:05:24] be to acquire their own nuclear device
[00:05:27] would have a nuclear arms race in the
[00:05:29] mid East
[00:05:30] in many ways would be on the road to
[00:05:37] Armageddon
[00:05:39] hania The Negotiator for Hamas is not a
[00:05:43] moderate there were no moderate
[00:05:46] Nazis and they're no moderate members of
[00:05:49] amas he knew what the organization was
[00:05:53] about and I hold him responsible as
[00:05:56] Israel did for the attack of October the
[00:05:58] 7th
[00:06:00] he was killed in Iran why was he in
[00:06:03] Iran he was in Iran to pay homage to the
[00:06:05] new president of Iran a so-called
[00:06:10] moderate at the ceremony acknowledging
[00:06:13] the election of this new moderate the
[00:06:17] audience was chanting death to America
[00:06:20] death to
[00:06:21] Israel to the world wake up before it's
[00:06:24] too late Israel's not the bad guy here
[00:06:28] it's radical Islamic terrorist groups
[00:06:30] surrounding the state of Israel that
[00:06:33] spent on the destruction of the Israeli
[00:06:35] state that are the bad guys and the
[00:06:38] ultimate Satan in this power play in the
[00:06:40] midle East is Iran so I'm going to
[00:06:43] challenge the American political system
[00:06:46] to acknowledge the
[00:06:47] obvious that the most provocative regime
[00:06:50] on the planet is Iran they're the
[00:06:53] largest state sponsor of terrorism
[00:06:55] they're trying to develop a nuclear
[00:06:57] weapon not a peaceful nuclear power
[00:06:59] program
[00:07:00] they're been on the destruction of
[00:07:01] Israel and eventually
[00:07:03] us it is now time to put them on
[00:07:06] notice hold them accountable for their
[00:07:09] proxies and make them pay a price for
[00:07:13] the Discord they've created in the world
[00:07:16] particularly the midd East these 12
[00:07:18] young children who were killed on a
[00:07:19] soccer field were killed by the
[00:07:23] Iranians Hezbollah was the agent of the
[00:07:26] attack October 7th slaughtering of 1200
[00:07:29] Jews was done by the Iranians through
[00:07:32] Hamas so our friends in Israel if you
[00:07:36] hit by
[00:07:37] Hezbollah strike hard strike lethal and
[00:07:42] include Iran on the target
[00:07:45] list be glad to take
[00:07:49] questions what do you make of the
[00:07:52] concerns that we've been seeing today
[00:07:54] from hostage families that because
[00:07:57] Israel took out their top negoti this
[00:07:59] now sets them back in those hostages
[00:08:01] never get real concern I understand it
[00:08:05] but I also understand what Israel is
[00:08:07] trying to do they're trying to stop um
[00:08:10] further attacks against the Jewish State
[00:08:13] and I do believe the best way to get the
[00:08:15] hostages released is make the cost of
[00:08:18] doing business so high for Iran they
[00:08:21] will change course I think that's the
[00:08:23] tactic Israel is taken they have vowed
[00:08:26] to hold those responsible for October
[00:08:28] 7th
[00:08:30] uh anytime anywhere and they're making
[00:08:33] good on that
[00:08:35] promise I still believe it's possible to
[00:08:38] have a ceasefire and to have the
[00:08:40] hostages released but the actions by
[00:08:43] Israel today are yesterday I think are a
[00:08:47] continuation of a policy that served the
[00:08:49] Jewish State
[00:08:52] well secretary gr thank you uh Jack Brad
[00:08:55] with NTV news I just want to ask just
[00:08:58] over a week ago lincol said that Iran is
[00:09:01] about one or two weeks away from
[00:09:02] developing materials to develop a
[00:09:05] nuclear weapon would that be enough
[00:09:07] under this legislation to uh ask the US
[00:09:09] military to what I'm trying to do with
[00:09:12] the authorization to use military force
[00:09:14] legislation is to tell the president uh
[00:09:18] that Congress is with you if you find
[00:09:21] conditions exist that there's a imminent
[00:09:25] breakout that there is a real threat
[00:09:28] that Iran would acquire are not only a
[00:09:29] nuclear capability but the means to
[00:09:32] deliver it so secretary blinkin is
[00:09:34] speaking truth
[00:09:36] here uh there's an unclassified report
[00:09:40] and there's the classified portion
[00:09:42] regarding uh Iran's malign activity in
[00:09:45] terms of terrorism but also of their
[00:09:47] nuclear program what I read really
[00:09:49] bothered me and that's why I'm here
[00:09:51] today I believe that we're on the verge
[00:09:54] of a major conflict over the Iran
[00:09:57] nuclear program where Israel will be
[00:09:59] forced to act uh in a decisive manner
[00:10:03] sooner rather than later in the absence
[00:10:05] of red lines by the United States has
[00:10:09] led to um aggression by Iran on the
[00:10:12] nuclear front and it's time to
[00:10:16] reset back off that how close you think
[00:10:19] are to that
[00:10:22] from close enough for me to be saying
[00:10:25] what I'm
[00:10:27] saying can I asked you about the Saudi
[00:10:30] deal and we've been very question about
[00:10:32] that what do you think the strike by
[00:10:34] Israel does to that I think Saudi
[00:10:37] considers Hamas the problem not the
[00:10:39] solution I don't think there are any
[00:10:41] tears in Riad right now over the death
[00:10:44] of uh any Hamas leader uh Hezbollah has
[00:10:48] been a disruptive Force the hoodies have
[00:10:51] been disruptive I think truth be known
[00:10:54] in Saudi Arabia they probably agree with
[00:10:56] me that all these organizations have one
[00:10:59] thing in common sponsorship by the
[00:11:02] Iranians so the ability of the Saudis to
[00:11:05] normalize with Israel I think requires
[00:11:09] the destruction of
[00:11:11] Hamas um so they cannot come back again
[00:11:15] because if they're allowed to come back
[00:11:17] again it would be hard to transform the
[00:11:19] West Bank in Gaza I think the best thing
[00:11:22] that can happen to the Palestinian
[00:11:24] people is the destruction and
[00:11:26] marginalization of Hamas so that others
[00:11:29] can come in and help the Palestinian
[00:11:31] people build a community not based on
[00:11:34] terrorism so I don't think it deters the
[00:11:37] deal in a way I think it reinforces the
[00:11:39] need for the
[00:11:41] deal
[00:11:42] Senator yeah I'll be right back with you
[00:11:45] don't go away what's supp you expect
[00:11:47] fromes the I don't know I I would have
[00:11:50] hop that there would be unanimity that
[00:11:53] uh Iran and Hezbollah are one and the
[00:11:55] same that we would be understanding in
[00:11:57] America that if is Israel is attacked in
[00:12:00] a significant Way by Hezbollah that they
[00:12:02] would be right to go after the
[00:12:04] Iranians uh the ability to generate
[00:12:07] revenue for the Terrace State Iran goes
[00:12:10] back to their oil production I've been
[00:12:12] arguing this for over a year they will
[00:12:15] continue to be disruptive until the
[00:12:17] price is too high and I think one thing
[00:12:20] that will change their calculation is
[00:12:22] that they believe that Israel Western
[00:12:25] powers of the United States would in
[00:12:27] fact put their oil production in
[00:12:29] Jeopardy so I am urging Israel to um
[00:12:33] make sure that when you respond to hezb
[00:12:37] you go to the source of the problem
[00:12:38] which is Iran and I'm hoping my
[00:12:40] colleagues will see the need for
[00:12:43] this Senator just a slightly off topic
[00:12:46] but are you going to ask the Biden
[00:12:47] Harris Administration to recognize the
[00:12:49] Venezuelan opposition leader uh
[00:12:51] candidate as a new president-elect and
[00:12:53] what actions do we can we expect from
[00:12:55] the US government regarding the election
[00:12:56] in venezuel one crisis at a time yeah I
[00:12:59] think maduro's election was was tainted
[00:13:02] and that's probably a good thing you
[00:13:03] just
[00:13:04] said than you spoken
[00:13:09] to asked have you spoken to the bid
[00:13:12] administration at all about this and are
[00:13:14] you worried I I I have spoken to uh the
[00:13:19] Biden
[00:13:20] Administration about the need to
[00:13:22] reset um I can't say that we had
[00:13:25] complete agreement but there is an
[00:13:27] understanding that our Iran's Mischief
[00:13:30] needs to come to an end and that they're
[00:13:33] running wild and is now time to hold
[00:13:36] them more accountable not less and this
[00:13:39] idea of a massive response by
[00:13:44] Hezbollah uh against Israel we need to
[00:13:47] change that Dynamic and let Iran know
[00:13:50] that you cannot use those proxies in
[00:13:52] Lebanon without facing reprisals in Iran
[00:13:56] itself and uh I think I have many
[00:13:58] Republic repan colleagues with me
[00:14:00] hopefully some democratic colleagues why
[00:14:02] am I saying this because I think if we
[00:14:04] don't do something decisive now it's
[00:14:06] going to get far worse
[00:14:08] quick yeah do you see the conflict with
[00:14:11] either Iran or requiring on no not
[00:14:16] bz have you Spen to the former president
[00:14:19] about this idea supportive if he were to
[00:14:23] be in the white house I mean does he
[00:14:25] need congress's Authority I would argue
[00:14:28] that Article 2
[00:14:29] Powers probably are sufficient but I am
[00:14:33] trying to get the Congress on record
[00:14:36] where are we as a body I mean you know
[00:14:38] the question is do you support using
[00:14:41] military force if that's required to
[00:14:43] stop a nuclear Breakout by Iron the
[00:14:46] answer for me is yes and I think every
[00:14:49] member of Congress should be asked that
[00:14:50] question and vote accordingly because if
[00:14:53] you allow the breakout of Iran where
[00:14:56] they acquire nuclear capability that can
[00:14:58] be delivered against Israel and others
[00:15:01] you're going to open up Pandora's Box in
[00:15:03] the midd
[00:15:04] East those of us in my business have to
[00:15:07] do more than
[00:15:08] criticize or cheer from the sidelines
[00:15:11] I'm trying to get Congress in the game
[00:15:14] what am I trying to do I'm trying to get
[00:15:15] Congress to State policies that will
[00:15:18] resonate in
[00:15:20] teron that will be resonate in the midd
[00:15:22] East that the Arabs will see us as a
[00:15:24] better Ally you asked a very good
[00:15:26] question I think if America took a
[00:15:29] stronger stance against Iran the peace
[00:15:30] deal is more likely not less I think the
[00:15:33] Abram Accords were a result of being
[00:15:35] strong against the great Satan Iran and
[00:15:39] I think our policies have
[00:15:42] undercut the idea that we're going to
[00:15:44] hold Iran accountable for all their
[00:15:46] Misadventures and people are less likely
[00:15:49] to align with the United States uh you
[00:15:51] had 12 kids killed playing soccer that
[00:15:56] needs to stop and the rockets shoes came
[00:15:59] from Iran all the money all the
[00:16:01] equipment used to attack Israel on
[00:16:03] October the 7th all that came from Iran
[00:16:07] so I consider Iran uh responsible for
[00:16:11] all of these events and going forward I
[00:16:13] want the Iranians to know if Israel
[00:16:16] decides to hit one of your
[00:16:18] refineries because you've unleashed
[00:16:20] Hezbollah to open up another front
[00:16:22] against the Jewish State I think that
[00:16:25] would be the right thing for Israel to
[00:16:26] do
[00:16:29] sorry I came how many Coons you have
[00:16:32] nobody and I've done this on purpose to
[00:16:34] give us a chance to go home and think
[00:16:36] about
[00:16:38] it I hope every member of Congress has
[00:16:40] asked do you believe that uh an attack
[00:16:43] by healah should be considered an attack
[00:16:46] by Iran against Israel if not why not
[00:16:49] and if you believe that should that
[00:16:51] change the target set in terms of
[00:16:53] reprisal it's time for us to think this
[00:16:56] through the fact that the political head
[00:16:59] of Hamas was attending an event in Iran
[00:17:04] that says to me that Israel believes
[00:17:07] anytime anywhere is their policy when it
[00:17:10] comes to leaders of terrorist
[00:17:12] organizations and I personally adopt
[00:17:15] that policy I think President Obama made
[00:17:18] a good decision when he went into
[00:17:22] Pakistan to take out Osama bin ladden
[00:17:26] that was a hard political decision that
[00:17:28] was a major military achievement he
[00:17:30] deserves great credit because he sent a
[00:17:33] signal that no matter where you go you
[00:17:35] cannot hide if you harm America and
[00:17:38] that's exactly what Israel is trying to
[00:17:41] say there's a reason we went into
[00:17:43] Pakistan to get Benin Laden because he
[00:17:46] orchestrated the death of thousands of
[00:17:49] Americans there's a reason this man was
[00:17:51] taken out in Iran and I don't know if
[00:17:54] Israel did it or not but I can say this
[00:17:56] they would be justified if they did
[00:17:59] some of your Democratic colleagues have
[00:18:01] said to me when I've asked them today
[00:18:02] about the strike that killed the Hamas
[00:18:06] political
[00:18:07] leader that they're very concerned about
[00:18:10] escalation and that they feel that there
[00:18:13] are still other ways to deter them
[00:18:16] without strong Army Iran what what do
[00:18:18] you say to that I I just say that vure
[00:18:22] is not
[00:18:23] working the Mist is on fire how much
[00:18:27] more evidence do you need that giving
[00:18:29] them more money doesn't help the cause
[00:18:31] we went from 300,000 barrels of oil
[00:18:33] prodiction to production to over a
[00:18:35] million well the money they've achieved
[00:18:37] in terms of selling more oil has gone
[00:18:39] into their war machine not roads Bridges
[00:18:42] and hospital it's time to declare Iran
[00:18:46] not only on paper as state sponsor of
[00:18:48] terrorism but in reality the model used
[00:18:52] by US to go after al- Qaeda types after
[00:18:55] 911 is the same model Israel is using
[00:18:59] and I think that's the only model that
[00:19:01] will work there's no place to hide if
[00:19:03] you kill
[00:19:05] Jews the legislation work toward the
[00:19:07] bigger picture of keeping the Chinese
[00:19:09] Communist part's influence out of the
[00:19:10] region well I'll leave it up to China as
[00:19:13] to what they want to do regarding Iran
[00:19:15] and whether they want to help Iran but I
[00:19:18] also have new legislation that I
[00:19:19] introduced two days ago with the
[00:19:22] coordination of President Trump that if
[00:19:24] you buy oil from the Iranian regime um
[00:19:28] then then we'll put tariffs on your
[00:19:30] products coming in the United States I
[00:19:32] think the sanctions are not working so
[00:19:33] China and India and other countries are
[00:19:36] enriching this terrorist state by buying
[00:19:38] oil below Market they're helping their
[00:19:40] economy the enriching a terrorist State
[00:19:42] and I want them to pay a price I want
[00:19:44] them to stop the sanctions clearly not
[00:19:46] working so I'm I'm coming up with tariff
[00:19:49] uh terrorism tariffs what's the theme
[00:19:52] Here Iran you keep doing this at your
[00:19:55] own Peril and to those on helping Iran
[00:19:58] you keep doing this at your own
[00:20:00] Peril
[00:20:11] just I I don't know I I I hope they
[00:20:14] would see Iran as a state sponsor of
[00:20:16] terrorism it needs to be reigned in I
[00:20:18] hope they would understand that Israel
[00:20:20] has every right to um to go after the
[00:20:24] leaders of these organizations who vow
[00:20:26] to destroy the Jewish State not help the
[00:20:28] pal Palestinians uh that will be up to
[00:20:30] Europe but I'm trying to set policy for
[00:20:33] America that I think will make us safer
[00:20:36] and we'll never be safe here at home as
[00:20:38] long as we let Iran run wild the
[00:20:41] policies of appeasement haven't worked
[00:20:43] the policies of enrichment have not
[00:20:46] worked when President Trump was in the
[00:20:48] white house we had Iran in a box and he
[00:20:52] did that through
[00:20:54] sanctions targeted force and that worked
[00:20:59] what's happened and what's different
[00:21:01] there's been an allout effort to destroy
[00:21:04] the Jewish
[00:21:06] state to undermine its existence to
[00:21:09] marginalize it throughout the world to
[00:21:12] attack in a way we haven't seen since
[00:21:14] the Holocaust on October the 7th and now
[00:21:17] there is a threat coming from Iran that
[00:21:21] if Israel keeps protecting itself and
[00:21:23] going after the masterminds of terrorism
[00:21:26] they will pay a heavy price so here's my
[00:21:27] message to the Ayatollah and the new
[00:21:30] president of Iran if you want to keep
[00:21:33] this
[00:21:35] up if you do so um it's your own
[00:21:40] Peril thank you
