[00:19:40] [Applause] [00:20:01] Mr. President, [00:20:03] you stand before the people of Israel [00:20:05] not as another American president, but [00:20:08] as a giant of Jewish history. One for [00:20:13] whom we must look back two and a half [00:20:16] millennia into the midst of time to find [00:20:20] a parallel. Cyrus the Great. You, [00:20:24] President Donald J. Trump are a colossus [00:20:28] who will be enshrined in the pantheon of [00:20:31] history. Thousands of years from now, [00:20:34] Mr. President, the Jewish people will [00:20:36] remember you. We are a nation that [00:20:40] remembers. [00:20:42] Far from being a local struggle, what we [00:20:45] are witnessing is a global struggle, a [00:20:49] global battle between the forces of [00:20:51] extremism, radicalism, and [00:20:54] fundamentalism, [00:20:55] and those of freedom, liberty, and [00:20:59] democracy. [00:21:00] What the world needs now is not a pieers [00:21:04] who feed the crocodile in the hope that [00:21:06] they will be eaten last like the kind we [00:21:09] have seen recently at the UN General [00:21:12] Assembly. And by the way, President [00:21:14] Trump, your team has checked the [00:21:16] teleprompterss. It is working [00:21:18] beautifully. [00:21:20] What the world needs [00:21:23] What the world needs now are more [00:21:26] leaders who are brave, resolute, strong, [00:21:29] and bold. The world needs more Trumps. [00:21:41] Mr. President, with your permission, I [00:21:43] would like to take this moment to [00:21:45] address Prime Minister Nathaniel. [00:21:48] [Applause] [00:22:01] [Music] [00:22:09] Steve Woff [00:22:12] Trump. [00:22:24] Who? [00:22:43] [Music] [00:22:45] lawyer. [00:22:48] [Applause] [00:23:08] Wish [00:23:11] Trump. [00:25:10] [Music] [00:25:17] Is [00:25:18] [Music] [00:25:37] [Music] [00:25:41] [Applause] [00:25:47] President Trump, you are the president [00:25:50] of peace. [00:25:52] There was not a single person on this [00:25:54] planet who did more than you to advance [00:25:57] peace. No one even came close. [00:26:02] Your election to the presidency marked a [00:26:05] turning point. not only for the United [00:26:07] States but for the entire world. [00:26:11] Through your through your strength of [00:26:14] character and unwavering resolve, you [00:26:17] brought an end to bloody conflicts in no [00:26:20] fewer than eight regions across the [00:26:23] globe. In less than nine months, you [00:26:27] became one of the most consequential [00:26:29] presidents in history. [00:26:32] You saved countless lives that would [00:26:35] have been lost without your leadership. [00:26:38] And as our sages teach, whoever saves [00:26:41] one life, it is as though he has saved [00:26:44] an entire world. [00:26:47] You have proven that true peace is [00:26:50] achieved through strength and that only [00:26:53] those who are prepared to use force in [00:26:56] the present can prevent the need to use [00:27:00] it in the future. Mr. [00:27:04] [Applause] [00:27:07] Mr. President, you more than any other [00:27:11] individual are deserving of the highest [00:27:14] recognition for your efforts in [00:27:17] promoting peace. Therefore, I hereby [00:27:21] announce that together with our good [00:27:24] friend, Speaker of the House, Mike [00:27:26] Johnson, we will rally speakers and [00:27:29] presidents of parliament from around the [00:27:32] world to submit your candidacy for the [00:27:35] Nobel Prize, peace prize next year. [00:27:39] There is no one more deserving than you, [00:27:42] President Trump. No one. [00:28:05] Thank you. [00:28:10] Fore! [00:28:30] Foreign! Foreign! May [00:29:19] God bless the United States of America [00:29:22] and may God bless the state of Israel. [00:29:27] [Applause] [00:29:57] Ness, Binyamin, Netanyao, Led. [00:30:10] [Applause] [00:30:57] Hi, Donald J. Trump. [00:31:13] Shalimat [00:31:15] [Applause] [00:31:21] is [00:31:23] birch. [00:31:34] Fore [00:31:59] speech. [00:32:02] Shaka [00:32:08] Shàu [00:32:09] [Applause] [00:32:30] Trump. [00:32:47] Now, [00:32:49] I know that the teleprompterss are [00:32:51] working well, though I'm not using them. [00:32:54] But I'm not sure about the translation. [00:32:56] So, I'll say words in English. [00:33:01] President Trump, [00:33:03] the welcomes you and your distinguished [00:33:06] delegation to Jerusalem, our eternal [00:33:08] capital. This is your first visit to [00:33:12] Israel. Since you recognize Jerusalem as [00:33:15] our capital and move the embassy here, [00:33:18] thank you, President Trump, for that. [00:33:36] There are many other reasons to thank [00:33:38] you [00:33:39] since your last visit here. [00:33:42] Thank you for recognizing Israeli [00:33:44] sovereignty over the Golan Heights. [00:34:00] Thank you for standing up to the lies [00:34:03] against Israel in the United Nations. [00:34:16] Thank you for recognizing in your 2020 [00:34:18] peace plan our rights in Judea and [00:34:21] Samaria, the ancestral homeland of the [00:34:24] Jewish people. [00:34:32] Thank you for brokering the historic [00:34:36] Abraham Accords. Abraham Abraham [00:34:40] Abraham, [00:34:48] thank you for withdrawing from the [00:34:50] disastrous Iran nuclear deal. [00:35:00] Thank you for supporting Operation [00:35:03] Rising Line and your for your bold [00:35:06] decision to launch Operation Midnight [00:35:09] Hammer. Boy, is that you got to hear [00:35:12] this. [00:35:18] This is the most fitting name ever named [00:35:23] for a military operation because a [00:35:26] little after midnight you really [00:35:28] hammered them. [00:35:29] >> Oh yeah. [00:35:34] >> My friends, this is only a partial list, [00:35:38] but it's enough to affirm what I've said [00:35:40] time and again. [00:35:42] Donald Trump is the greatest friend that [00:35:46] the state of Israel has ever had in the [00:35:48] White House. [00:36:01] [Applause] [00:36:14] No American president has ever done more [00:36:18] for Israel. And as I said in Washington, [00:36:22] it ain't even close. It's really not a [00:36:25] match. [00:36:26] Mr. President, today we welcome you here [00:36:31] to thank you for your pivotal leadership [00:36:33] in putting forward a proposal that got [00:36:36] the backing of almost the entire world. [00:36:40] A proposal A proposal that brings all [00:36:43] our hostages home. [00:36:50] A proposal that ends the war by [00:36:51] achieving all our objectives. [00:36:57] A proposal that opens the door to an [00:37:00] historic expansion of peace in our [00:37:02] region and beyond our region. Mr. [00:37:05] President, you are committed to this [00:37:08] peace. I am committed to this peace and [00:37:11] together, Mr. President, we will achieve [00:37:14] this peace. [00:37:19] We've done it before. [00:37:22] We've done it before in the Abraham [00:37:24] Accords and we'll do it again. Mr. [00:37:28] President, [00:37:30] today the Jewish calendar marks the end [00:37:33] of two years of war. That war began on [00:37:36] October 7th on the Jew Jewish festival [00:37:40] of [00:37:42] you always tell me and you tell the [00:37:45] world [00:37:46] remember October 7th. Mr. President, [00:37:52] we remember we remember the thousands of [00:37:55] Hamas terrorists who stormed into our [00:37:57] towns in Kibbutim. [00:38:00] We remember the,200 people kamas [00:38:03] savagely slaughtered in cold blood, [00:38:06] including dozens and dozens of [00:38:08] Americans. [00:38:09] We remember entire families burnt alive, [00:38:14] burnt alive as they embraced each other. [00:38:17] We remember the beautiful young Israelis [00:38:20] brutally gunned down at the Nova Music [00:38:23] Festival. [00:38:25] We remember the hundreds of our citizens [00:38:28] who are dragged into the dungeons of [00:38:30] Gaza, including 12 Americans, [00:38:33] men and women, young and old, [00:38:37] babies, and elderly Holocaust survivors. [00:38:42] My friends, Mr. President Donald, [00:38:46] these monsters take babies as hostages. [00:38:52] In response to this barbaric attack on [00:38:55] October 7th, Israel did what it had to [00:38:58] do with indomitable courage. We set out [00:39:02] to defend our people, [00:39:05] to defeat our enemies, and to release [00:39:08] our hostages. Our heroic soldiers fought [00:39:12] like lions. [00:39:14] They fought on the front lines of [00:39:15] civilization and barbarism. [00:39:18] Israel achieved amazing victories over [00:39:20] kamas and the entire Iran terror axis. [00:39:25] Sinoir, Dev, Khan, Nasala, Assad, [00:39:30] they're all gone. [00:39:34] Iran's [00:39:45] [Music] [00:39:46] Iran's nuclear weapons and ballistic [00:39:49] missile program with your enormous help, [00:39:52] Mr. President, rolled back half the [00:39:55] Houthi leadership wiped out. [00:39:59] But the price of this victory, the price [00:40:02] of these victories has been heavy. [00:40:05] Nearly 2,000 of Israel's finest were [00:40:08] lost. Nearly half in battle. They left [00:40:12] behind parents, [00:40:14] spouses, siblings, and children. Their [00:40:18] love and laughter, [00:40:20] their promise and potential [00:40:23] were lost forever. [00:40:25] To the families of our fallen fighters, [00:40:28] many of them are here. I say, [00:40:33] I know the depth of your pain. [00:40:38] I know the inconsolable grief [00:40:42] that will accompany you for the rest of [00:40:45] your lives. [00:40:47] The state of Israel bows its head in [00:40:50] eternal gratitude [00:40:52] to our fallen heroes. [00:40:55] Because of these heroes, our nation will [00:40:58] survive. [00:41:00] Because of these heroes, our nations [00:41:02] will thrive. [00:41:05] And because of these heroes, our nation [00:41:08] will have peace. [00:41:11] Mr. President. [00:41:14] Thousands of our brave soldiers were [00:41:16] also wounded, [00:41:18] suffering terrible blows to body and [00:41:20] soul. [00:41:22] Brave soldiers like Ari Spez. [00:41:26] Ari is an American. [00:41:33] Ari is an American Israeli who was [00:41:36] injured. [00:42:09] Ari is an American Israeli who was [00:42:12] injured in Gaza while searching for [00:42:14] Hamas terrorists and weapons. [00:42:16] Two of Ahri's comrades were killed in [00:42:18] this action and 10 were injured. Ari was [00:42:22] presumed dead but made a miraculous [00:42:25] recovery [00:42:27] despite losing [00:42:29] three limbs. [00:42:32] Ari, [00:42:34] stand up for a minute alone. Stand up. [00:42:36] There you go. There, Ari. [00:42:41] Ari, you are the spirit of Joshua. You [00:42:46] are the spirit of David. You are the [00:42:48] spirit of the Mcabes. You are the spirit [00:42:51] of Israel. I salute you. We all salute [00:42:55] you. [00:43:11] Sabin Tasa [00:43:14] al- Kibbut Nativas [00:43:17] is watching us today from the Israeli [00:43:19] consulate in Los Angeles. [00:43:22] Sabine lost her husband [00:43:24] and her oldest son [00:43:27] on October 7th. [00:43:30] She is the mother of three other boys. [00:43:32] Two of them, Kohen and Shai, witnessed [00:43:36] their father jump on a kamas grenade [00:43:40] to save his two sons. [00:43:43] We all saw the film of those two boys [00:43:47] crying out in pain. [00:43:50] Father is dead. [00:43:53] Why? [00:43:55] Why did God save me? [00:43:58] Mr. President, [00:44:00] my friend Donald, I've seen some very [00:44:03] tough things in my life, [00:44:06] but I couldn't bring myself [00:44:09] to watch those boys suffering again. [00:44:13] So, I didn't see this film except once. [00:44:17] Yet, Sabin, [00:44:20] their mother, has had the strength and [00:44:23] fortitude to show this film across the [00:44:27] world. [00:44:29] And my wife Sarah and I asked her, [00:44:32] "Sabina, how do you do it? [00:44:35] Why do you do it?" [00:44:38] And she answered, [00:44:40] "I do it to show the entire world the [00:44:44] monsters Israel is fighting and the [00:44:46] justice of our cause." This is what [00:44:49] she's doing once again in Los Angeles. [00:44:52] Sabine, you can hear me now. So I want [00:44:54] to tell you on behalf of all of us, you [00:44:58] embody the spirit of our biblical [00:45:00] heroins Deborah, Ruth, and Esther. You [00:45:04] too are the spirit of Israel. And we all [00:45:07] salute you. [00:45:23] Mr. Mr. President, you asked me on our [00:45:25] many conversations during the 12-day war [00:45:28] with Iran. You asked me, "How are the [00:45:30] people holding up?" [00:45:33] And I said to you, "Our people are [00:45:36] strong. Israelis are a nation of lions [00:45:40] with unlimited resolve to defend our [00:45:42] country and secure our future." The [00:45:45] people The people give strength to our [00:45:48] soldiers and the people give strength to [00:45:50] me and to my colleagues. [00:45:53] The Jewish people have risen from the [00:45:55] ashes time and again. But when we formed [00:45:58] the state of Israel and the army of [00:46:00] Israel, we pledged never again. Never [00:46:04] again would be defenseless against our [00:46:07] enemies. [00:46:10] And that that resolute strength not only [00:46:14] assures our survival, it assures our [00:46:17] future, it assures peace. [00:46:21] We have paid we have paid a high price [00:46:24] for this war. But our enemies now [00:46:26] understand [00:46:28] just how powerful and just how [00:46:31] determined Israel is. They understand [00:46:34] that attacking Israel on October 7th was [00:46:37] a catastrophic mistake. They understand [00:46:40] that Israel is strong and that Israel is [00:46:44] here to stay. And this, Mr. President is [00:46:48] the indispensable foundation of peace. [00:46:51] Peace through strength. [00:46:54] Ladies and gentlemen, [00:46:57] this is a momentous day, a day of great [00:47:00] joy. As the remaining hostages come [00:47:02] home, my wife Sarah and I have met with [00:47:05] the hostage families many times. [00:47:08] There were no words to describe their [00:47:10] agony, [00:47:11] only tears of bottomless sorrow and [00:47:15] unimaginable pain. [00:47:17] At the beginning of the war, I promised [00:47:20] to bring all the hostages home. [00:47:23] Today, [00:47:24] with the indispensable help, the [00:47:28] determined and focused help, the [00:47:30] unremitting help of President Trump, his [00:47:32] esteem, and with the incredible [00:47:36] sacrifice and courage of the soldiers of [00:47:39] Israel, we are fulfilling that promise. [00:47:49] It has been a long journey to get here. [00:47:52] In the first week of the war, [00:47:54] our brave soldiers put military pressure [00:47:57] on Hamas and the international community [00:48:01] put diplomatic pressure on them. This [00:48:03] enabled us to secure the release of over [00:48:06] 100 hostages. [00:48:08] In heroic rescue attempts behind enemy [00:48:10] lines, Israel's special forces rescued [00:48:14] eight live hostages and brought back the [00:48:17] remains of a dozens more. But as time [00:48:20] went on, we all know what happened. [00:48:23] The diplomatic pressure was turned on [00:48:26] its head. More and more governments [00:48:29] bought into Hamas's false propaganda. [00:48:32] More and more governments succumb to [00:48:34] anti-Semitic mobs in their own [00:48:37] countries. They just turned on Israel. [00:48:40] They called for us to surrender to Hamas [00:48:42] demands. Just leave Gaza immediately. [00:48:44] They said, "End the war without [00:48:46] committing to disarm Hamas, without [00:48:48] committing to demilitarize Gaza." [00:48:52] Had Israel succumbed to those demands, [00:48:54] not only would Sinir, Nasraa, Assad, and [00:48:58] Iran's [00:49:00] missile and nuclear program remained [00:49:02] intact. [00:49:04] Not only that, because in no time, the [00:49:08] Hamas killers would be back on the [00:49:09] border fence, ready to repeat the [00:49:11] horrors of October 7th again. and again [00:49:14] as they vowed to do. [00:49:17] But just at that point, [00:49:20] just at that point of maximum pressure [00:49:23] on Israel, [00:49:25] a man named Donald J. Trump was elected [00:49:28] president of the United States. [00:49:37] And ladies and gentlemen, [00:49:40] overnight [00:49:42] overnight, [00:49:44] everything changed. Everything. [00:49:52] Mr. President, thanks to your [00:49:55] unequivocal backing of Israel, we [00:49:58] secured a second hostage deal within [00:50:01] weeks of your election. And in the [00:50:03] months that followed, we worked closely [00:50:06] together to forge a path to bring the [00:50:08] remaining hostages home and end the war. [00:50:12] End the war in a way that ensures the [00:50:13] disarming of Hamas, the demilitarization [00:50:16] of Gaza, and that Gaza would never again [00:50:19] pose a threat to Israel. Two months ago, [00:50:22] you fully backed my decision to send the [00:50:24] IDF into the last Hamas stronghold in [00:50:28] Gaza City. You shared my view that this [00:50:31] military pressure would help free the [00:50:33] hostages. And despite all the criticism, [00:50:36] all the naysayers, [00:50:39] we were right. [00:50:41] Kamas caved in. [00:50:44] And two weeks ago, [00:50:47] you succeeded in doing something [00:50:50] miraculous. [00:50:52] You succeeded in doing something that no [00:50:55] one believed was possible. [00:50:58] You brought most of the Arab world. [00:51:02] You did. You brought most of the world [00:51:05] behind your proposal to free the [00:51:07] hostages and end the war. [00:51:10] I want to thank Steve Whitoff, [00:51:13] Jared Kushner, and Ron Durmer [00:51:17] for their great contribution to this [00:51:20] effort. [00:51:42] And I want to thank our negotiating [00:51:44] team. [00:51:46] I believe that the close cooperation [00:51:49] between the two of us, between our two [00:51:52] nations, [00:51:53] combining Israel's military pressure and [00:51:56] President Trump's unmatched global [00:51:59] leadership, I have to tell you, I've [00:52:01] seen a lot of American presidents. [00:52:04] I've seen them all in the time that I've [00:52:06] been here, and I've been here quite a [00:52:07] lot of times. [00:52:10] I've never seen anyone [00:52:14] move the world so quickly, [00:52:17] so decisively, [00:52:19] so resolutely as our friend, President [00:52:22] Donald J. Trump. [00:52:41] With our military pressure and President [00:52:44] Trump's global leadership, [00:52:47] we achieved this historic moment. It's a [00:52:50] moment of indiscrim joy as our nation [00:52:53] embraces our sons who are coming home. [00:52:57] Mr. President, this week [00:53:02] Jews around the world, [00:53:05] Jews around the world are going to read [00:53:08] the book of Ecclesiastics, Cohellet in [00:53:11] the Bible. [00:53:14] The Bible has many [00:53:16] miraculous moments. [00:53:21] One of them [00:53:23] was your decision [00:53:26] to bomb Fordo. [00:53:29] I think it was a pivot of history [00:53:32] because it wasn't meant only to bomb for [00:53:35] that action [00:53:37] and your previous action of taking out [00:53:40] Kasimsulmani, [00:53:42] the architect of death. [00:53:45] I think that changed [00:53:48] the balance of power in the world. [00:53:52] You brought America back again [00:53:56] to the driver's seat. [00:54:02] Now, I said that we're going to read [00:54:04] this week the book of Ecclesiastes. [00:54:09] It has it's not a book of action. It's a [00:54:12] book of u meditations [00:54:16] of thought of perspective on life and on [00:54:20] death. [00:54:22] And in this book we read the immortal [00:54:24] words of King Solomon. [00:54:26] To everything there is a season and a [00:54:30] time for every matter under heaven. [00:54:34] Kama the shalom. A time for peace and a [00:54:40] time for war. The last two years have [00:54:43] been a time of war. The coming years [00:54:47] will hopefully be a time for peace. [00:54:56] Peace inside Israel [00:55:00] and peace outside Israel. [00:55:17] I look forward to continuing marching [00:55:19] with you on the path we pave together [00:55:23] with the Abraham Accords. [00:55:26] Under your leadership, [00:55:29] we can forge new peace treaties with [00:55:31] Arab countries in the region and Muslim [00:55:35] countries beyond the region. Abraham's [00:55:38] children will work together to build a [00:55:40] better future. A future that will unite [00:55:43] civilization against barbarism, [00:55:47] light against darkness, [00:55:50] and hope against despair. [00:55:54] And my friends, I believe [00:55:57] that with President Trump's leadership, [00:56:00] this will happen a lot faster than [00:56:03] people think. [00:56:09] As Prime Minister of Israel, I extend my [00:56:12] hand to hold those who seek peace with [00:56:15] us. No one wants peace more than the [00:56:19] people of Israel. [00:56:21] Israel will always remain vigilant in [00:56:24] defending itself and Israel will always [00:56:27] remain full of hope. Hope is our [00:56:30] national anthem. [00:56:32] Hope is our creed. Hope is our strength. [00:56:36] It is time, my friends, to realize that [00:56:39] hope and expand the circle of peace. Mr. [00:56:43] President, [00:56:46] thank you for all you have done for us. [00:56:50] I have uh submitted [00:56:54] your nomination to be the first [00:56:57] non-Israeli recipient [00:56:59] of the Israel Prize, Israel's highest [00:57:02] award. As to that other prize, [00:57:06] just a question of time, you'll get it. [00:57:08] But I want you to get the Israel Prize, [00:57:11] our highest award [00:57:13] to our greatest friend [00:57:28] [Applause] [00:57:31] When others were weak, you were strong. [00:57:35] When others were fearful, you were bold. [00:57:38] When others abandon us, you stood by our [00:57:40] side. On behalf of the government and [00:57:43] people of Israel, I thank you for your [00:57:45] extraordinary friendship. Thank you for [00:57:48] helping bring our hostages home. Thank [00:57:50] you for supporting Israel's march to [00:57:52] victory. Thank you for paving a path to [00:57:56] peace. [00:58:04] Shalabeshanu [00:58:06] [Applause] [00:58:12] las [00:58:37] May God bless you and your family, Mr. [00:58:40] President. May God bless America. May [00:58:43] God bless Israel. And may God bless the [00:58:47] covenant between our two promised lands. [00:58:51] Thank you, Mr. President. [00:58:59] [Applause] [00:59:21] You see what I'm [00:59:25] [Applause] [00:59:37] the president. [00:59:41] >> Where? [00:59:51] >> Come on up, opposition. Come on [00:59:54] opposition. [00:59:55] >> Yeah. Okay. [01:00:10] [Applause] [01:00:29] Mr. Speaker, members of Kesset, [01:00:33] ministers, President Herzog, Prime [01:00:35] Minister Netanyahu, distinguished guest, [01:00:38] Your Excellency, President Trump. [01:00:42] For two years, [01:00:45] we waited for this moment, [01:00:47] two years of sleepless nights, two years [01:00:52] without air in our lungs. Our eyes [01:00:58] are filled with tears today. Our hearts [01:01:00] are filled with gratitude. Our children [01:01:02] are coming home. [01:01:12] In the Babylonian Talmud, a circuit book [01:01:15] of the Jewish people, it is written, [01:01:17] "Whoever destroys one life, it is as [01:01:21] though he destroyed an entire world. And [01:01:24] whoever saves one life, it is though as [01:01:27] he has saved an entire world. Mr. [01:01:30] President, you have saved the lives of [01:01:34] our hostages. [01:01:42] But you saved so much more. You have [01:01:44] saved the souls of the bererieved whose [01:01:47] loved ones now will be brought home for [01:01:50] burial. You have saved thousands of [01:01:52] soldiers [01:01:54] who will now not fall in battle. And you [01:01:57] have saved millions from the horrors of [01:01:59] war. [01:02:04] You have saved more than one life. And [01:02:07] each life is an entire world. This is a [01:02:11] historic moment and a reminder that [01:02:14] history is shaped by people. It is [01:02:18] shaped by those who know the past. [01:02:21] but have the vision to change the [01:02:23] future. When you were elected, you [01:02:26] declared that you would be the president [01:02:28] of peace. You have kept your word. The [01:02:32] fact that you were not awarded the Nobel [01:02:35] Peace Prize is a grave mistake by the [01:02:38] committee. [01:02:42] But they will have no choice, Mr. [01:02:45] President. They will have to award it to [01:02:47] you next year. [01:02:53] Peace will not come by waiting. It will [01:02:56] come by building, by reaching out, and [01:02:59] by daring once again to believe. You, [01:03:03] Mr. President, have done the [01:03:05] unimaginable. [01:03:06] We will be eternally grateful. But we [01:03:10] also need to take responsibility. The [01:03:13] destiny of Israel will always be written [01:03:16] by the people of Israel. We must now [01:03:19] prove ourselves worthy of what has been [01:03:22] achieved. [01:03:24] From its founding, Israel has said to [01:03:26] the world that our strength, our power [01:03:31] rest upon our values. Israel is the [01:03:34] strongest country in the Middle East [01:03:37] because we are the only democracy in the [01:03:41] Middle East. [01:03:44] Because [01:03:46] because we believe in the principles [01:03:49] laid in our declaration of independence [01:03:51] which says Israel will ensure complete [01:03:54] equality of social and political rights [01:03:57] to all its habitants irrespective of [01:04:01] religion, race or sex. It will guarantee [01:04:04] freedom of religion, conscious language, [01:04:07] education and culture. It will safeguard [01:04:10] the holy places for all religions. Those [01:04:14] are our values. That is who we are as [01:04:18] people, [01:04:20] as a country. [01:04:23] Our neighbors [01:04:24] must understand one more thing about us. [01:04:28] We are not going anywhere. [01:04:35] The Middle East is our home. We are here [01:04:38] to stay. Our story did not end in the [01:04:41] Bible. It began there. It continues in [01:04:45] our laboratories and universities, in [01:04:47] our innovation hubs. Hamas, Iran, and [01:04:51] the Houthis, they all read the wrong [01:04:54] intelligence reports. The real [01:04:57] intelligence report on Israel's [01:04:59] intentions [01:05:01] is found in the book of Genesis. and I [01:05:05] will give you and your descendants after [01:05:08] you the land of Kanan for an everlasting [01:05:12] possession. [01:05:17] We call upon the nations of the Islamic [01:05:20] world on all our neighbors Saudi Arabia, [01:05:23] Syria, others. We are here to stay. We [01:05:26] can do great things together. Come and [01:05:29] talk to us. Mr. President, you are the [01:05:33] one who can make it happen as you did [01:05:36] with the historic Abraham Accords. Then [01:05:38] too, no one believed it was possible. [01:05:42] Then too, you imposed your vision on [01:05:45] everyone. While others spoke of [01:05:48] difficulties, you created opportunity. [01:05:51] You can be the one to bring the next [01:05:54] wave of peace. The people of Israel [01:05:57] support this. They want this. [01:06:00] We are ready. [01:06:04] [Applause] [01:06:06] And you can later today in Egypt with [01:06:10] your unbelievably talented team, my [01:06:13] friends Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, [01:06:16] Marco Rubio, Pete Haxid, forge a [01:06:19] regional alliance that will change not [01:06:22] only the Middle East but the entire [01:06:24] world. [01:06:26] After two years of war, the peoples of [01:06:30] this region should look around and ask [01:06:33] themselves whose situation is better. [01:06:36] Those who chose the path of peace or [01:06:39] those who chose the path of war? those [01:06:43] who invested in their people, in the [01:06:46] education of their children, in science [01:06:48] and educa and and technology, or those [01:06:51] who invested in hate and and in [01:06:55] violence. [01:06:57] From here I say to all those who [01:07:01] demonstrated against Israel this past [01:07:04] two years on the streets of London and [01:07:08] Rome in Paris and in Colombia [01:07:10] University. I do not represent the [01:07:12] government as you know I am the leader [01:07:14] of the opposition and I tell you then [01:07:18] you were de deceived. [01:07:22] You were deceived. Propaganda experts [01:07:24] funded by terror money manipulated you. [01:07:28] Now that the war has stopped, you have [01:07:29] time and a chance to go and learn the [01:07:33] facts. The truth is there was no [01:07:35] genocide, [01:07:38] no intentional starvation. [01:07:47] The truth is there was an army and a [01:07:50] country fighting in the most complicated [01:07:53] conditions imaginable against terrorists [01:07:55] who send their own children to die for a [01:07:58] follow-up [01:08:00] who used their own children as human [01:08:02] shields. The truth is that the [01:08:04] democratic state was attacked by a [01:08:07] fanatical terrorist organization. 1,200 [01:08:10] people were killed in one day. Women [01:08:12] were raped. babies were burned alive and [01:08:16] all that and all the while they played [01:08:19] with your minds selling you the absurd [01:08:23] idea that supporting Islamic terror is [01:08:27] somehow a liberal value. [01:08:31] There is good and evil in this world. [01:08:33] When you stand with Hamas, you stand [01:08:35] with evil. When you stand with Balah, [01:08:37] you stand with evil. When you stand with [01:08:39] the Iranian regime, you stand with evil. [01:08:41] When you stand with Israel, you stand on [01:08:44] the side of justice. [01:09:03] Last week, [01:09:05] last week I attended the 7th October [01:09:07] memorial ceremony. [01:09:09] An inspirational woman called Galedit [01:09:12] Dan spoke on stage. [01:09:15] Galedit had a daughter, Noa, [01:09:19] a 13year-old girl who was autistic like [01:09:21] my daughter. And Noa was was full of [01:09:25] light. She loved Harry Potter. [01:09:28] On that dark day, Noa was sleeping at [01:09:32] her grandmother's Carmela's house in [01:09:35] Kibbutni Rose. Carmela was 80 years old. [01:09:39] Their bodies, [01:09:42] grandmother and granddaughter were found [01:09:46] embraced. [01:09:48] They were murdered together. On stage at [01:09:51] the ceremony, Galit said a sentence that [01:09:54] moved us all. We don't want revenge, she [01:09:58] said. We want redemption. [01:10:01] Today, the redemption begins. [01:10:05] Israel has endured two terrible years on [01:10:08] the battlefield and in the international [01:10:10] arena. But in those two years, we also [01:10:15] rediscovered [01:10:17] our own greatness. We remember how good [01:10:20] we can be. Our pilots who took control [01:10:23] of the skies over Iran. Our industries [01:10:26] leading the world in technology. Our [01:10:29] civil society which reached out to help [01:10:33] every victim of the war. We will move [01:10:36] forward toward a different future. Our [01:10:40] heroic soldiers who saved us all will [01:10:43] fold away their uniforms and rise as [01:10:47] teachers and engineers, scientists and [01:10:50] innovators, investors and small business [01:10:52] owners. We will never be able to repay [01:10:56] the debt to those who sacrificed [01:10:58] everything these past years to those [01:11:01] who, as President Lincoln said, gave the [01:11:05] last full measure of devotion. [01:11:08] We can only be worthy of them, worthy of [01:11:12] their sacrifice. [01:11:14] Mr. President, allow me to speak also to [01:11:17] the businessman in you, the dealmaker [01:11:19] who understands value. If there were one [01:11:22] stock in the world I would invest in [01:11:25] today, it is the state of Israel. [01:11:28] If there were [01:11:31] one nation that deserves unrestricted [01:11:34] access to GPU chips, to AI and SMR [01:11:38] technologies, to American markets, it is [01:11:40] the state of Israel. [01:11:46] Israel's future is interwined with our [01:11:49] eternal alliance, our strategic and [01:11:51] moral covenant with our greatest [01:11:53] friends, the United States of America. [01:11:57] This war is over. We will always need to [01:12:02] stay vigilant to guard against those who [01:12:06] seek our destruction. But the state of [01:12:09] Israel is about to reinvent itself. [01:12:13] The challenges ahead demand not only [01:12:15] strength but a new vision. It's time to [01:12:18] take a new path [01:12:21] to be a nation that is advanced and [01:12:25] thriving and peace seeeking. We have [01:12:29] waited for this moment for the end of [01:12:31] the war, for the return of the hostages, [01:12:33] for the chance to rechan our grief and [01:12:37] loss into the energy needed to rebuild [01:12:40] our nation. [01:12:42] Thanks to you, Mr. President. Thanks to [01:12:45] our soldiers, our lions. Thanks to the [01:12:48] millions of great Israeli patriots who [01:12:51] filled the streets and the qu and the [01:12:53] square and never, not for one moment, [01:12:56] gave up on the hostages. [01:13:02] Thanks to all of them, the strength [01:13:04] within us can now rise, succeed, and [01:13:07] build for our future [01:13:10] and for our children. Thank you very [01:13:13] much. God bless the United States of [01:13:14] America. I'm Israel K. [01:13:30] [Applause] [01:13:35] [Music] [01:13:39] Members of the Knesset, it is now my [01:13:42] distinct honor to invite the President [01:13:46] of the United States of America, His [01:13:49] Excellency [01:13:51] Donald J. Trump to address the [01:14:15] Thank you very much. Thank you. [01:14:20] Thank you very much everybody. [01:14:23] [Applause] [01:14:25] It's a great honor. Nice place. Very [01:14:27] nice place. [01:14:30] Mr. President, Mr. Prime Minister, [01:14:33] Mr. Speaker, esteemed members of the [01:14:36] Knesset and cherished citizens of [01:14:39] Israel. [01:14:41] We gather on a day of profound joy, of [01:14:44] soaring hope, of renewed faith, and [01:14:47] above all, a day to give our deepest [01:14:50] thanks to the almighty God of Abraham, [01:14:55] Isaac, and Jacob. [01:15:17] After two harrowing years in darkness [01:15:20] and captivity, [01:15:22] 20 courageous hostages are returning to [01:15:26] the glorious embrace of their families. [01:15:28] And it is glorious. [01:15:31] 28 more precious loved ones are coming [01:15:34] home at last to rest in this sacred soil [01:15:38] for all of time. [01:15:40] And after so many years of unceasing war [01:15:43] and endless danger, today the skies are [01:15:46] calm, the guns are silent, the sirens [01:15:48] are still, and the sun rises on a holy [01:15:52] land that is finally at peace. a land [01:15:55] and a region that will live, God [01:15:57] willing, in peace for all eternity. [01:16:08] This is not only the end of a war. This [01:16:12] is the end of a age of terror and death [01:16:14] and the beginning of the age of faith [01:16:17] and hope and of God. [01:16:21] It's the start of a grand concord and [01:16:23] lasting harmony for Israel and all the [01:16:26] nations of what will soon be a truly [01:16:30] magnificent region. I believe that so [01:16:32] strongly. This is the historic dawn of a [01:16:37] new Middle East. I want to express my [01:16:40] gratitude to a man of exceptional [01:16:42] courage and patriotism whose partnership [01:16:46] did so much to make this momentous day [01:16:48] possible. [01:16:50] You know who I'm talking about. There's [01:16:52] only one. Prime Minister Benjamin [01:16:54] Netanyahu. Baby, please stand up. [01:16:59] [Music] [01:17:15] And he is not easy. I want to tell you [01:17:18] he's not the easiest guy to deal with, [01:17:22] but that's what makes him great. That's [01:17:25] what makes him great. [01:17:33] Thank you very much, baby. Great job. [01:17:40] [Music] [01:17:42] And let me also convey my tremendous [01:17:44] appreciation for all of the nations of [01:17:48] the Arab and Muslim world that came [01:17:50] together to press Hamas to set the [01:17:53] hostages free and to send them home. We [01:17:56] had a lot of help. We had a lot of help [01:17:57] from a lot of people that you wouldn't [01:17:59] suspect. And I want to thank them very [01:18:01] much for that. It's an incredible [01:18:04] triumph for Israel and the world to have [01:18:06] all of these nations working together as [01:18:09] partners in peace. And it's pretty [01:18:12] unusual for you to see that, but it it [01:18:15] happened in this case. This was a very [01:18:16] unusual point in time, a brilliant point [01:18:20] in time. Generations from now, this will [01:18:23] be remembered as the moment that [01:18:26] everything began to change and change [01:18:29] very much for the better. [01:18:31] like the USA right now. It will be the [01:18:34] golden age of Israel and the golden age [01:18:37] of the Middle East. It's going to work [01:18:39] together. I'd like to thank several [01:18:42] great American patriots for their [01:18:44] invaluable help in getting something [01:18:46] done that almost everyone thought was [01:18:49] absolutely impossible. We were wasting [01:18:52] our time. So many people said, "You're [01:18:55] just wasting your time." But we weren't [01:18:57] because we had talented people working [01:18:59] with us and we had people that love your [01:19:03] country and frankly people that love the [01:19:05] region. They love the Middle East. I [01:19:08] want to thank my friend Steve Whit. [01:19:36] You know, Steve was chosen by me. He [01:19:38] never did this before, but I knew him as [01:19:42] a few things. He was a great [01:19:44] businessman, but I know a lot of great [01:19:45] businessmen to be honest with you. He [01:19:48] had tremendous negotiating skills, but I [01:19:50] know a lot of people that negotiate [01:19:52] pretty well. Although it is an art, but [01:19:55] there are people that can negotiate [01:19:57] pretty well. But most importantly with [01:19:59] Steve, he's just a great guy. Everybody [01:20:03] loved him. [01:20:05] Everybody. [01:20:10] I mean, I know some negotiators that are [01:20:13] so good, but you wouldn't have had peace [01:20:15] in the Middle East. You'd be would be in [01:20:17] World War II right now with some of [01:20:19] these guys. [01:20:21] Everybody loves Steve and they respect [01:20:23] him and they somehow can relate to him. [01:20:26] I've known him for many years and I've [01:20:28] seen it over over and over again. [01:20:38] [Applause] [01:20:43] [Music] [01:20:50] Come here. [01:21:12] Sorry for that, Mr. President. [01:21:14] >> Thank you. [01:21:14] >> Please. [01:21:20] >> That was very efficient. [01:21:23] [Applause] [01:21:33] [Music] [01:21:36] So, back to Steve. [01:21:39] He's [01:21:40] [Applause] [01:21:49] But I tell one story because he was so [01:21:52] involved. And then we called in Jared. [01:21:54] We call in, we need that brain on [01:21:56] occasion. We got to get Jared in here. [01:21:58] We got to get a certain group of people. [01:22:00] But Steve started this all by himself. [01:22:03] If I call him Henry Kissinger, who [01:22:05] doesn't leak? Okay, Henry is a big [01:22:09] leaker. He leaked. [01:22:11] Steve doesn't leak. Steve just wants to [01:22:13] get the job done. He wants to do what's [01:22:15] right. But I'll give you just a quick [01:22:17] story because, as you know, he's working [01:22:19] on the war with Russia and Ukraine. A [01:22:23] war that would have never happened if I [01:22:25] were president. A shame. 7,000 young [01:22:28] soldiers a week are being killed. more [01:22:30] than that this last week. It's a shame [01:22:33] that never happened, but it did happen [01:22:36] and we won the race and I took over this [01:22:40] horrible war that's been raging and I [01:22:42] thought it would be [01:22:44] easily settled. I thought it was a hell [01:22:46] of a lot easier than doing what we just [01:22:49] did very successfully with Israel and a [01:22:52] lot of other people, but uh this came [01:22:56] first and we'll get that one. But I set [01:22:58] up a meeting for him to meet with [01:23:00] President Putin thinking it would be a [01:23:02] 15 or a 20 minute meeting. Steve had no [01:23:04] idea about Russia. Had no idea about [01:23:07] Putin too much. Didn't know too much [01:23:09] about politics. Wasn't that interested. [01:23:11] He was really good at real estate, but [01:23:13] he had that quality that I was looking [01:23:15] for. And I didn't see it around in too [01:23:17] many ways. And I set up the meeting with [01:23:20] Putin and I called. I said, "Uh, is [01:23:23] Steve finished yet?" That was about a [01:23:24] half an hour into the meeting. No sir, [01:23:27] he's not. He's still inside. This is in [01:23:29] Moscow. [01:23:30] I said, "Well, how's he doing?" I don't [01:23:32] know, sir. He's still inside. I called [01:23:33] up an hour later. Let me speak to Steve. [01:23:35] Sir, he's still with Putin. He's with [01:23:38] President Putin. I said, "Wow, that's a [01:23:40] long meeting. One hour." I called up an [01:23:43] hour later, he is still with Putin. [01:23:45] Three hours later, he was still with [01:23:47] Putin. Four hours later, he started to [01:23:50] get the word that he was going to be [01:23:52] coming out soon. And in five hours, he [01:23:55] came out. [01:23:56] I said, "What the hell were you talking [01:23:58] about for five hours?" And he says, [01:24:01] "Just a lot of interesting things. We [01:24:04] just we're talking about a lot of [01:24:06] interesting things, including what he [01:24:09] went in there for, but you can't talk [01:24:10] about it for five. You can talk about it [01:24:12] for a certain period of time and you [01:24:15] know what you're getting." But that's a [01:24:17] talent. That's a talent where you can do [01:24:20] that. Most people I'd send in, number [01:24:21] one, they wouldn't be accepted. Number [01:24:23] two, if they were were the meeting would [01:24:25] last five minutes. And that's what [01:24:28] happens with Steve. Everybody loves him. [01:24:30] They love him on this side. They love [01:24:32] him on the other side. And he really is. [01:24:34] He's a a great negotiator because he's a [01:24:37] great guy. So, thank you very much, [01:24:39] Steve. Very much. [01:24:56] And let me also give a very special [01:24:58] thanks to someone who truly loves [01:25:01] Israel. [01:25:02] In fact, loves it so much that [01:25:07] my daughter converted. [01:25:09] My daughter converted. I didn't know [01:25:12] this was going to happen. [01:25:18] And Ivanka is here. [01:25:35] And BB, you do know this was not in the [01:25:37] cards for me. You understand that. And [01:25:40] she is so happy. And they are so happy. [01:25:43] At least I think they're happy. [01:25:46] If they're not, we have a big story, [01:25:47] right? No, they have a great marriage [01:25:50] and they're uh they get along great. [01:25:52] They're best friends. They have a very [01:25:53] special relationship. But Jared uh has [01:25:56] been so helpful. He uh he really did [01:26:01] something very special. He established [01:26:04] the Abraham Accords with a group of very [01:26:08] wonderful people. I like calling it the [01:26:11] Abraham Accords because people that [01:26:19] Abraham, [01:26:21] it's so cool. [01:26:23] It's so much sort of nicer, you know, [01:26:27] the Abraham [01:26:29] versus the Araham. [01:26:32] [Applause] [01:26:37] I just don't want to sound too [01:26:39] sanctimonious when I do it. So, you [01:26:41] know, I sort of split it up. Just want [01:26:44] to keep everybody happy. But we have uh [01:26:48] some very great talent and they have no [01:26:52] excuses for anything that's taken place [01:26:55] because we had some unbelievably good [01:26:58] people working on this. And then you're [01:27:00] going to add a man named Marco Rubio who [01:27:04] is also here. [01:27:08] That's right. [01:27:26] And I have a prediction that Marco will [01:27:29] go down. I mean this as the greatest [01:27:31] secretary of state in the history of the [01:27:34] United States. I believe that. [01:27:37] I believe it. [01:27:43] And he and I, you know, we really fought [01:27:45] it out. You remember he was tough. He [01:27:48] was nasty. [01:27:50] Who the hell thought this was going to [01:27:52] happen, Marco? Right. And now I'm saying [01:27:54] he's going to go down as the greatest. [01:27:55] He will. He was always He was always [01:27:59] smart and sharp and people respect him. [01:28:04] And then we have somebody who's young [01:28:07] but an unbelievable leader. I saw it a [01:28:09] long time ago and he's turned out to be [01:28:11] even better. Even better than we [01:28:13] thought. Right, Susie? I think even [01:28:15] better and that's Pete Hexath who is our [01:28:18] Secretary of War, formerly Secretary of [01:28:22] Defense. [01:28:38] And as you know, we decisively won World [01:28:40] War I. We decisively won World War II [01:28:44] decisively [01:28:46] and everything in between and everything [01:28:49] before it. We won everything. And then [01:28:53] they had the brilliant idea of changing [01:28:56] the name from war, you know, it was war [01:28:59] to defense. [01:29:01] And with that went a certain thinking [01:29:04] and we fought in a very politically [01:29:06] correct way after that. We always had [01:29:08] the strongest military and now we have a [01:29:11] stronger military than we've ever had [01:29:12] before because in my first term I've [01:29:14] totally rebuilt the military every [01:29:17] aspect of it. But we have uh if you [01:29:21] think we settled eight wars in eight [01:29:24] months I'm now including this one by the [01:29:27] way if that's okay. They may say well [01:29:30] that was quick because yesterday I was [01:29:32] saying seven but now I can say eight. [01:29:34] The hostages are back. The hostages are [01:29:37] back. [01:30:01] It is a good feeling. Isn't that nice to [01:30:03] say? You know, I just said the hostage [01:30:04] first time I said the hostages are back. [01:30:06] It sounds It feels so good to say it. [01:30:13] But when you settle eight wars in eight [01:30:15] months, that means you don't like war. [01:30:17] Everyone thought I was going to be [01:30:18] brutal. In fact, I remember Hillary [01:30:21] Clinton during a debate, she said, "Look [01:30:23] at him. Look at him. He's going to go to [01:30:25] war with everybody." And actually, she [01:30:27] said, "He's got a personality that's all [01:30:30] about war." No. And my personality [01:30:32] actually is all about stopping wars. And [01:30:35] it seems to work. Seems to work. [01:30:42] But it also means this name change and [01:30:45] our attitude that uh we're not going to [01:30:48] go into a war, but if we do, we're going [01:30:51] to win that war like nobody has ever won [01:30:54] a war before. We will not be politically [01:30:56] correct, but we're not going to be [01:30:58] there. And I think you know as you [01:31:00] mentioned BB before, peace through [01:31:03] strength and that's what it's all about. [01:31:10] The United States has the greatest and [01:31:12] most powerful military in the right now [01:31:15] history of the world. I can tell you we [01:31:17] have weapons that nobody's ever dreamt [01:31:19] of. I only hope we never have to use [01:31:22] them. I rebuilt the military. [01:31:25] I was proud to do it. But some of the [01:31:27] things I hated to do. I hated certain of [01:31:30] the weapons because the level of power [01:31:32] is so enormous. It's so dangerous, so [01:31:35] bad. But we have to do what we have to [01:31:38] do. We make the best weapons in the [01:31:40] world. And we've got a lot of them. And [01:31:43] we've given a lot to Israel, frankly. [01:31:46] And [01:32:09] I mean, BB would call me so many times, [01:32:11] can you get me this weapon, that weapon, [01:32:14] that weapon? Some of them I never heard [01:32:16] of, BB, and I made them. [01:32:19] But we'd get them here, wouldn't we? And [01:32:21] they are the best. They are the best. [01:32:22] And you but you used them well. It also [01:32:25] takes people that know how to use them. [01:32:27] And you obviously used them very well. [01:32:30] But so many that Israel became strong [01:32:32] and powerful which ultimately led to [01:32:34] peace. That's what led to peace. [01:32:40] So as we celebrate today, let us [01:32:42] remember how this nightmare of depravity [01:32:46] and death all began. [01:32:48] Two years ago, on the eve of the Simha [01:32:52] Torah holiday, [01:32:55] thousands of innocent Israeli civilians [01:32:57] were attacked by terrorists and one of [01:33:00] the most evil and heinous [01:33:03] desecrations of innocent life the world [01:33:05] has ever seen, the worst slaughter of [01:33:07] Jews since the Holocaust. [01:33:10] The cruelty of October 7th struck to the [01:33:13] core of humanity itself. Nobody could [01:33:16] believe what they were witnessing. [01:33:18] The United States of America grieved [01:33:21] alongside you and we mourned for our own [01:33:24] citizens who were so viciously taken [01:33:26] that day. [01:33:28] And to all the families whose lives were [01:33:30] forever changed by the atrocities of [01:33:34] that day and all of the people of [01:33:37] Israel, please know that America joins [01:33:39] you in those two everlasting vows. Never [01:33:43] forget and never again. [01:34:08] From October 7th until this week, Israel [01:34:11] has been a nation at war, enduring [01:34:14] burdens that only a proud and faith [01:34:16] faithful people could withstand. It was [01:34:19] a very tough period of time for so many [01:34:22] families across this land. It has been [01:34:25] years since you've known a single day of [01:34:28] true peace. But now at last, not only [01:34:31] for Israelis, but also for Palestinians [01:34:35] and for many others, the long and [01:34:37] painful nightmare is finally over. And [01:34:42] as the dust settles, the smoke fades, [01:34:44] the debris is removed, and the ashes [01:34:49] clean from the air, the day that breaks [01:34:52] on a region transformed, and a beautiful [01:34:55] and much brighter future appears [01:34:58] suddenly within your reach. This is now [01:35:01] a very exciting time for Israel and for [01:35:05] the entire [01:35:07] Middle East because all across the [01:35:09] Middle East, the forces of chaos, [01:35:11] terror, and ruin that have plagued the [01:35:13] region for decades now stand weakened, [01:35:16] isolated, and totally defeated. A new [01:35:20] coalition of proud and responsible [01:35:22] nations is emerging. And because of us, [01:35:25] the enemies of all civilization [01:35:28] are in retreat [01:35:31] thanks to the bravery and incredible [01:35:33] skill of the Israeli Defense Forces and [01:35:37] Operation Rising Lion. [01:36:01] got central casting. Let's put him in a [01:36:04] movie. Look at him. Great job. And my [01:36:07] people loved working with you. Loved it. [01:36:12] They worked so well together. [01:36:15] But many of Iran's top terrorists, [01:36:17] including nuclear scientists and [01:36:20] commanders, have been extinguished from [01:36:23] this earth. And with Operation [01:36:27] Midnight Hammer, boy, that's a great [01:36:29] name for that. What we did last June, [01:36:34] the United States military flew seven of [01:36:36] those beautiful B2 bombers. They look so [01:36:39] beautiful all of a sudden. They were [01:36:41] always [01:36:43] I thought they were pretty planes. I had [01:36:44] no idea they could do what they did. In [01:36:47] fact, we just ordered 28 more of them. [01:36:51] A little update, a little updated [01:36:53] version. [01:36:55] We ordered a whole pile of them and [01:36:58] almost 100 other planes went with them, [01:37:01] including fighter jets. And we had 52 [01:37:04] tankers, big, beautiful, brand new [01:37:07] tankers that were loading them up four [01:37:09] or five times. They've traveled 37 hours [01:37:12] back and forth. think of that. But we [01:37:15] had tankers all over the sky for all the [01:37:17] other planes. We had the F-22s, the [01:37:19] F-35s, [01:37:21] F-16s. We had a hell of a lot of planes. [01:37:26] [Applause] [01:37:30] So, we had 52 gas stations in the sky. [01:37:32] That's what they call them. I'll tell [01:37:35] you, I wouldn't want to be flying one of [01:37:36] them. We have our great General Raisin [01:37:39] Kane right here. General, stand up. this [01:37:42] guy. What a general. [01:37:48] Thank you. [01:38:02] I asked General Kaine, I said, "You [01:38:05] know, we're having problems with ISIS." [01:38:08] And I was in Washington and I asked, [01:38:11] "How long would it take to defeat ISIS?" [01:38:14] And my Washington generals told me, [01:38:17] "Three, four, maybe five years, sir." I [01:38:20] said, "I don't get it. We got the best [01:38:21] equipment in the world." Why? So I flew [01:38:24] to Iraq and I met with a man named Kane. [01:38:28] He said, "What's your first name?" He [01:38:30] said, "They call me Raisin, sir." I [01:38:32] said, "Wait a minute. Your name is [01:38:34] Raisin Kane. I've been looking for you [01:38:37] for a long time. You got to be kidding. [01:38:41] So they told me three, four, five years [01:38:43] to defeat ISIS. And I sit down with him [01:38:46] and I say, "Why is it I I flew there in [01:38:49] the dark of night. I land. I'll never [01:38:51] forget it. It was quite a trip. I'm glad [01:38:54] I made it because I met him. I said, [01:38:56] "Could I ask you general?" I come down. [01:38:58] He standing with another general and a [01:39:00] sergeant. Everybody was like central [01:39:02] casting. They could go into a movie [01:39:04] right now. between him and you guys over [01:39:06] here, we could get rich making movies. [01:39:09] Okay. But but and they got along so [01:39:12] great. That's the beautiful thing that [01:39:14] your military and our military BB got [01:39:17] along so great. But [01:39:22] but I was told by the television [01:39:24] generals in Washington, we have the best [01:39:26] equipment in the world. Why is it taking [01:39:28] so long? And uh they said four years. [01:39:31] They said, "So, let me ask you, [01:39:34] Raisin, how long would it take you to [01:39:37] defeat ISIS?" Sir, we can do it in 3 [01:39:40] weeks, but you'll probably have some [01:39:41] time left over. I said, "You got to be [01:39:43] kidding. What the hell are you talking [01:39:45] about?" They said, "Four years." He [01:39:48] said, "Well, sir, uh, look, it's not my [01:39:51] place to say, but you're asking me the [01:39:54] question. what you have to do is you hit [01:39:57] him from the west, you hit him from the [01:39:58] north, you hit him from the south, you [01:40:00] hit him above, you hit him below. I [01:40:03] said, "So why didn't they do it?" And he [01:40:05] didn't want to speak badly of his [01:40:07] superiors, which is hard to believe they [01:40:09] were his superiors. Should have been the [01:40:11] other way around a long time ago because [01:40:13] he's the one that did Operation. It was [01:40:16] flawless. It was flawless. It was [01:40:18] absolutely flawless. [01:40:21] And [01:40:23] and I said, "So, you really think you [01:40:25] can do it in four weeks?" "Yes, sir. [01:40:27] 100%. You have to do it differently than [01:40:30] they were doing it." They were using one [01:40:32] base and it was hundreds of miles away. [01:40:34] And he says, "We have all these portable [01:40:36] bases all over the Middle East and they [01:40:39] didn't want to use them because they [01:40:41] didn't want to offend the country where [01:40:42] the portable they wouldn't have even [01:40:44] known what the hell the planes were [01:40:45] going up, right? They wouldn't have [01:40:48] known." But he said, "No, they didn't [01:40:49] want to defend anybody, offend anybody." [01:40:52] And uh but we can do it in four weeks. I [01:40:55] said, "You sure about that? I'm going to [01:40:56] call you back. I'll call you back on [01:40:58] Monday. I'm going back to Washington." [01:41:01] "But you think four weeks?" "Yes, sir. I [01:41:03] think we can do it in four weeks. We'll [01:41:05] have time left over." So I call him on [01:41:07] Monday. I say, "You think you can do [01:41:09] it?" "Four weeks?" I said, "Go ahead and [01:41:11] do it." He did it. I'll tell you, he did [01:41:12] it in four weeks. Less than four weeks. [01:41:15] So, General, stand up, please. [01:41:19] Again, [01:41:21] this is a real general. This is not a [01:41:23] television general. He doesn't want to [01:41:25] go on television. [01:41:34] He doesn't want to go on television. I [01:41:36] said, the other guys love being on [01:41:38] television. [01:41:40] So, we dropped 14 bombs on Iran's key [01:41:43] nuclear facilities. totally, as I said, [01:41:46] originally obliterating them and that's [01:41:48] been confirmed and everybody understands [01:41:51] it. Together, we stopped the number one [01:41:53] state sponsor of terror from obtaining [01:41:56] the world's most dangerous weapons. [01:41:59] And if you think about it, if we didn't [01:42:02] do that, and assuming we made the same [01:42:05] deal that we have today, there'd be a [01:42:08] dark cloud over this deal. And number [01:42:11] one, it wouldn't happen because the [01:42:13] other Arab and Muslim nations really [01:42:16] wouldn't feel comfortable making the [01:42:17] deal that we have now, right? If Iran [01:42:20] had that nuclear weapon that they were [01:42:23] about two months away from having, they [01:42:25] would have had it in two months or maybe [01:42:26] less than that. They were right at this [01:42:28] was our last shot. [01:42:31] They looked at it for 22 years. This was [01:42:34] our last shot. The pilots told me that. [01:42:36] They said, "22 years, sir." They looked [01:42:38] at it. Our predecessors looked, they [01:42:40] studied it. Three times a year would do [01:42:43] drills on that exact attack and boy did [01:42:46] they get it right. But let's assume they [01:42:48] didn't. And let's assume there was [01:42:51] large-scale nuclear weapons in the hands [01:42:53] of Iran. We couldn't be here today. Even [01:42:57] if we signed the deal, which we couldn't [01:42:59] do because a lot of people would not [01:43:01] want to have anything to do with it. We [01:43:03] took a big cloud off of the Middle East [01:43:05] and off of Israel. [01:43:27] And it was my honor to uh to help. But [01:43:30] it isn't isn't it too though that can [01:43:32] you imagine the same let's assume BB the [01:43:36] same documents we had everything the [01:43:37] same but you had somebody out there that [01:43:40] was in the opinion of everybody all [01:43:44] powerful in the Middle East. Uh, they [01:43:47] took a big hit, didn't they? Didn't they [01:43:49] take a big hit? Boy, oh boy. They got [01:43:52] hit from one side, from the other. And [01:43:54] you know, it would be great if we could [01:43:56] make a peace deal with them. And I think [01:43:57] that's big. Would you be happy with [01:43:59] that? Wouldn't it be nice? I think [01:44:02] because I think they want to. I think [01:44:04] they're tired. Somebody said, "Sir, [01:44:06] they're starting their nuclear program [01:44:08] again." I said, "Let me tell you [01:44:09] something. They're not starting [01:44:11] anything. They want to survive. The last [01:44:14] thing they want to do is start digging [01:44:15] holes again in mountains that just got [01:44:18] blown up and start They're not doing [01:44:20] They want to survive. Okay. But I think [01:44:23] we have a chance. Steve, you and I think [01:44:27] Jared, come on. I'll call you back for [01:44:28] another one. We always bring Jared when [01:44:31] we want to get that deal closed. We [01:44:32] bring Jared. But Steve, you and Jared [01:44:34] and the general and Pete and Marco, [01:44:38] uh, you'll get that deal done easy. I [01:44:40] think that'll be easy. But first, we [01:44:42] have to get Russia done. We got to get [01:44:43] that one done. If you don't mind, Steve, [01:44:45] let's focus on Russia first. All right. [01:44:50] We'll get it done. [01:44:52] In Lebanon, the dagger of Hezbollah, [01:44:56] long aimed at Israel's throat, has been [01:44:58] totally shattered. My administration is [01:45:01] actively supporting the new president of [01:45:04] Lebanon in his mission to permanently [01:45:06] disarm Hezbollah's terror brigades. He's [01:45:09] doing very well. [01:45:12] and build a thriving state at peace with [01:45:15] its neighbors. And you're very much in [01:45:16] favor of that, I know. And uh it's uh [01:45:20] good things are happening there. Really [01:45:22] good things. And with this week's [01:45:23] ceasefire, we've achieved the most [01:45:25] challenging breakthrough of them all. [01:45:28] The most challenging breakthrough maybe [01:45:30] ever. I mean, I've never seen anything [01:45:31] like I've been involved in a lot of [01:45:33] success. I have never seen anything like [01:45:36] what's going on today all over the [01:45:38] world. People are dancing in the [01:45:40] streets, not just in Israel. They're [01:45:42] dancing in the streets of countries that [01:45:44] would have never danced in the street [01:45:47] about what's happening today. They're [01:45:49] dancing in those streets. [01:45:54] So, this long and difficult war has now [01:45:57] ended. You know, some people say 3,000 [01:45:59] years, some people say 500 years. [01:46:01] Whatever it is, it's uh the granddaddy [01:46:05] of them all. And in an unprecedented [01:46:08] achievement, virtually the entire region [01:46:11] has endorsed the plan that Gaza will be [01:46:14] immediately demilitarized, that Hamas [01:46:17] will be disarmed, [01:46:19] and Israel security will no longer be [01:46:23] threatened in any way, shape, or form. [01:46:36] So, Israel, with our help, has won all [01:46:39] that they can by force of arms. You've [01:46:42] won. I mean, you've won. Now, it's time [01:46:45] to translate these victories against [01:46:48] terrorists on the battlefield into the [01:46:50] ultimate prize of peace and prosperity [01:46:53] for the entire Middle East. It's about [01:46:55] time you were able to enjoy the fruits [01:46:58] of your labor. [01:47:00] Oppos Mr. opposition leader. He's I said [01:47:02] he's a very nice opposition leader. I [01:47:04] think No, he's a nice man, BB. He's a [01:47:08] nice man. [01:47:15] He knows what he's doing, right? [01:47:18] No, he's very nice guy. [01:47:24] >> Well, see, now you can be a little bit [01:47:25] nicer, B, because you're not at war [01:47:27] anymore, B. [01:47:37] But only by embracing the opportunities [01:47:39] of this moment can we achieve our goal [01:47:41] of ensuring that the horrors of recent [01:47:44] years will never happen again. You don't [01:47:45] want to have to go through this again. [01:47:47] Eight years ago, I came to this region [01:47:49] on a very special first trip abroad as [01:47:53] the president of the United States. I [01:47:55] came here very early at your request. I [01:47:58] addressed the leaders of the Arab and [01:48:00] Muslim world gathered in Saudi Arabia [01:48:03] and said that it was time to build a [01:48:05] future free of the grip of extremism and [01:48:09] terror. And I'm interestingly right now [01:48:11] I'm as soon as I'm finished I'm quite [01:48:13] late. You've kept me quite late between [01:48:15] opposition leaders and BB's brilliant [01:48:18] but very long speech. [01:48:22] I thought I was going to run up here, [01:48:24] make a speech, and then head to Egypt. [01:48:27] It didn't work out though. And you made [01:48:28] a pretty long one too, sir. [01:48:38] [Music] [01:48:40] >> But I liked what you all said. It could [01:48:42] be worse. Supposing I on top of it, I [01:48:44] didn't like what you said. That would [01:48:45] No, that would be no good, Ron. Would [01:48:47] it? Ron, you did a great job by the way, [01:48:50] Ron. [01:49:06] So I'm going to be meeting actually in a [01:49:08] little while I'm going to be meeting [01:49:10] with the most powerful the richest [01:49:13] nations really in the world. Although [01:49:15] now with the tariffs, the United States [01:49:16] is by far the richest nation in the [01:49:18] world as you probably have been reading, [01:49:20] but the richest nations, most powerful [01:49:23] nations, uh, you know, tremendous, [01:49:26] tremendous, headed by some tremendous [01:49:28] people in many cases, some cases I [01:49:30] wouldn't say necessarily I would [01:49:32] endorse, but I will tell you some [01:49:34] incredible people that really helped us [01:49:37] make this all possible. So, I'll be [01:49:39] going there. I'll be quite late. They [01:49:41] might not be there by the time I get [01:49:43] there. [01:49:45] But we're going to give it a shot. But [01:49:47] the journey we started back then led to [01:49:50] the crushing defeat of the ISIS [01:49:52] caliphate to the monumental Abraham [01:49:55] Accords and ultimately to the historic [01:49:57] ceasefire this week in which many of [01:50:00] those same nations really played that a [01:50:02] very pivotal role. I have to tell you, [01:50:04] Steve will tell you that, Jared will [01:50:06] tell you that. Together we've shown that [01:50:08] peace is not just a hope that we can [01:50:11] dream about. But it's a reality we can [01:50:13] build upon day by day, person by person, [01:50:16] and nation by nation. And because of [01:50:19] that, the Middle East is finally ready [01:50:21] to embrace its extraordinary potential. [01:50:24] You have extraordinary potential in this [01:50:27] region. It should now be clear to [01:50:29] everyone throughout the region that [01:50:32] decades of fermenting terrorism and [01:50:35] extremism, [01:50:37] jihadism, and anti-semitism have not [01:50:40] worked. They haven't worked. They've [01:50:41] been a disaster. [01:50:43] They've just killed. They've killed. [01:50:49] They've backfired completely and [01:50:51] totally. They've just totally backfired. [01:50:53] Everything that you thought, take it [01:50:56] worst case, it's turned out to be worse [01:50:59] than that. They have not worked. From [01:51:00] Gaza to Iran, those bitter hatreds have [01:51:04] delivered nothing but misery, suffering, [01:51:08] failure, and death. They've served not [01:51:11] to weaken Israel, but to annihilate the [01:51:14] very forces that did the most to ferment [01:51:18] this hatred. And it's really, I mean, [01:51:20] everybody that's tried it has become [01:51:24] irrelevant. [01:51:25] Meanwhile, we've seen those nations that [01:51:28] set aside their differences, reached [01:51:30] across ancient divides, and pursued [01:51:32] engagement are now among the most [01:51:35] successful in the region. They're [01:51:37] getting along with Israel and they're [01:51:39] doing great. And I can tell you the four [01:51:42] nations that joined the Abraham Accords [01:51:46] early on. And you'd all be doing me a [01:51:49] favor and and I'm going to be saying [01:51:51] this in a little while to some other [01:51:53] friends. Would love you all to Is this [01:51:56] right, Jared? Join up in the Abraham [01:52:00] Accords. We have to join up and get [01:52:02] together. You can have that whole thing [01:52:04] filled out. We had a very weak [01:52:07] administration, worst president in the [01:52:09] history of our country by far. And [01:52:12] Barack Obama was not far behind, by the [01:52:15] way. [01:52:16] [Applause] [01:52:24] And they did nothing with this [01:52:25] incredible document, the Abraham [01:52:28] Accords, but now you can fill them up. [01:52:29] Now you have peace. You have people that [01:52:33] really like Israel. Well, I'll tell you [01:52:34] what, and they like Israel a lot more [01:52:36] today than they did even five weeks ago. [01:52:38] Like, you've made a lot of you've you've [01:52:40] come back. You've come back strong [01:52:42] because it was getting to be a little [01:52:44] nasty out there in the world. And [01:52:45] ultimately, the world wins. You can't [01:52:47] beat the world always. I would say to [01:52:49] BB, BB, it's now time. And he understood [01:52:53] it better than anybody because [01:52:56] ultimately, you know, the world's a very [01:52:58] big place. And I've said a lot. I said, [01:53:02] "This piece of land is very small. It's [01:53:05] unbelievable what you've done with that [01:53:06] tiny." You look at a map even of just [01:53:08] not the world, the Middle East, and you [01:53:11] have this little dot and think of what [01:53:14] you've done. It's incredible. [01:53:16] It's incredible. [01:53:34] But the world is loving [01:53:37] the world is loving Israel again. And I [01:53:40] said to you know the world is big and [01:53:43] it's strong and Ron ultimately the world [01:53:47] wins and we don't have to worry about [01:53:48] that now but there was getting to be a a [01:53:52] period of time over the last few months. [01:53:54] You know the the world wanted peace and [01:53:56] Israel wanted peace. Everybody did. [01:53:58] Everybody did. And what a victory it's [01:54:01] been, right? What a victory it's been. [01:54:03] If you would have gone on for three, [01:54:04] four more years, keep fighting, [01:54:06] fighting, fighting. It was it was [01:54:08] getting bad. It was getting heated. The [01:54:11] timing of this is brilliant. And I said, [01:54:14] BB, you're going to be remembered for [01:54:16] this far more than if you kept this [01:54:18] thing going, going, going, kill, kill, [01:54:20] kill. It would be uh not it would not be [01:54:24] the same. And I just want to [01:54:25] congratulate you for having the courage [01:54:28] to say that's it. We've won and now [01:54:32] let's enjoy our lives and let's rebuild [01:54:34] Israel and make it stronger and bigger [01:54:37] and better than it's ever been before. [01:54:39] We're going to do that. [01:54:41] Took a lot of guts. [01:54:46] And the choice for Palestinians could [01:54:49] not be more clear. This is their chance [01:54:51] to turn forever from the path of terror [01:54:54] and violence. It's been extreme. To [01:54:57] exile the wicked forces of hate that are [01:55:00] in their midst. And I think that's going [01:55:02] to happen. I've met some people over the [01:55:04] last couple of months that want to see [01:55:06] it happen very much. And after [01:55:09] tremendous pain and death and hardship, [01:55:11] now is the time to concentrate on [01:55:14] building their people up instead of [01:55:17] trying to tear Israel down. We don't [01:55:19] want that to happen again. [01:55:24] And the total focus of Gazins must be on [01:55:26] restoring the fundamentals of stability, [01:55:29] safety, dignity, and economic [01:55:31] development so they can finally have the [01:55:33] better life that their children really [01:55:35] do deserve after all these decades of [01:55:38] horror. I intend to be a partner in this [01:55:42] effort in the sense that we're going to [01:55:44] help and we're going to do something [01:55:47] that became unbelievably popular. [01:55:49] Everybody wants to be on it. It's called [01:55:52] the Board of Peace. Okay. How about [01:55:55] that? Is that a beautiful name? Like a [01:55:57] board of peace. [01:56:04] The only bad thing from my standpoint, [01:56:06] every single nation involved has asked [01:56:09] me to be the chair. [01:56:12] And I'll tell you, I'm very busy. I [01:56:14] didn't count on that. But you know what? [01:56:16] If we do it, we'll do it right. And we [01:56:18] have unbelievable [01:56:19] uh power and wealth because you're going [01:56:22] to need wealth. You're going to need [01:56:23] wealth to rebuild things. And they have [01:56:26] wealth like few people have wealth. I [01:56:29] want to thank the Arab and Muslim [01:56:31] nations for their commitment because [01:56:33] they've made to support a safe [01:56:36] rebuilding of Gaza and beyond. I have [01:56:38] many Arab countries, very wealthy [01:56:41] countries that came up and said we'll [01:56:42] put up tremendous amounts of money to [01:56:45] get uh rebuilt to rebuild [01:56:49] Gaza. And I think that's going to [01:56:51] happen. The power, they want dignity. [01:56:53] They want to come forward and they want [01:56:55] to say and I want to say who they are [01:56:57] because what they're doing is going to [01:56:59] be I think something that you're going [01:57:01] to be very impressed with BB and uh you [01:57:04] need that you need the kind of economic [01:57:06] power that they have and they want to [01:57:08] see it work and they want to see it be [01:57:10] safe and they want to see it be good for [01:57:12] Israel too. [01:57:17] And as much money as it will be, and [01:57:19] it's a lot, as you can see, it's a lot. [01:57:23] For these countries, it's relatively [01:57:25] little relative to their worth. It's [01:57:30] really a lot of money. Like money like [01:57:33] most people could never even conceive. [01:57:34] But for these countries, it's not that [01:57:36] much. Especially because it ensures [01:57:39] success and stability in the Middle [01:57:40] East, which is what they want to see. So [01:57:43] many of them will be with us in Egypt in [01:57:45] a little while, I think. I'm not sure. [01:57:48] They may be gone. [01:57:50] They may have taken their Boeing 747s [01:57:53] and left. [01:57:56] I said, "What kind of a plane do you [01:57:57] fly?" Uh 747. I said, "That's a large [01:58:01] plane." No, they may have. Steve, do you [01:58:04] think they've left on their Boeing SE [01:58:06] their brand new Boeing 747s or I don't [01:58:09] know. We're gonna find out soon. And [01:58:11] it's going to be a big story. [01:58:13] There'll be two people left [01:58:16] and they'll be the two poorest ones. [01:58:23] But but but [01:58:26] it will be the wealthiest and most [01:58:28] powerful group of nations. So the group [01:58:30] that we have assembled that's waiting [01:58:33] for us is the wealthiest and most [01:58:36] powerful group ever assembled at one [01:58:38] time. There has never been a group like [01:58:39] this. and they're only looking for good. [01:58:42] They want good. They're going to do [01:58:44] good. And as those commitments are made, [01:58:46] I'm going to let the world know who's [01:58:49] doing it because they really deserve to [01:58:51] get the credit. And some of them [01:58:53] probably won't want the credit, but they [01:58:54] deserve it. It's more obvious than ever [01:58:57] that the productive and responsible [01:58:59] nations of this region should not be [01:59:02] enemies or adversaries. You should be [01:59:05] partners and eventually even friends. [01:59:07] And that's what's going to happen. I [01:59:08] know it. Together you can stand against [01:59:11] the forces of chaos. Yeah, you go ahead. [01:59:14] That's an important point [01:59:21] because you can stand against the forces [01:59:23] of chaos that threatened all of your [01:59:26] interests and it's always a big threat, [01:59:28] always a big threat and unleash [01:59:30] incredible prosperity and opportunity [01:59:33] for all the people of these lands. And [01:59:35] that's what's going to happen. You're [01:59:36] going to unleash numbers and success the [01:59:40] likes of which Israel has never been [01:59:42] able to think of because you're so uh [01:59:44] firm and and you should be and you've [01:59:47] done the right thing in defending [01:59:48] yourself. You're not going to have to [01:59:50] worry so much about it. You've won and [01:59:52] now you can build and you can do things [01:59:54] that you never even thought possible. [01:59:56] It's when you put that genius into doing [01:59:59] something else. It's going to be [02:00:01] something that's it's going to be a [02:00:02] miracle. The miracle in the desert, it's [02:00:04] going to be amazing. and it already is [02:00:06] in a true sense, but it'll be wonderful [02:00:09] when you can spend time thinking about [02:00:11] other than war and defense and offense [02:00:14] also. To that end, it's my firm hope and [02:00:18] dream frankly that together the uh [02:00:22] Abraham Accords will turn out to be [02:00:24] everything that we thought they would. [02:00:26] Those four countries were very very [02:00:28] brave in doing it. They did it at a very [02:00:30] early point and every single one of them [02:00:33] benefits unbelievably financially. Uh [02:00:36] and if you noticed even in this bad [02:00:38] period that we just went through, they [02:00:40] all remained a member of the Abraham [02:00:43] Accords. They've done unbelievably well. [02:00:45] And I just and you know who you are and [02:00:48] I want to thank you. [02:00:52] And they've stayed because of loyalty, [02:00:53] but they've also stayed because it was [02:00:55] really good business. is they've made a [02:00:57] lot of money being members and you're [02:01:00] going to all I think I hope that [02:01:02] everyone of I hope that every one of the [02:01:04] countries that we're seeking Jared I [02:01:07] hope they join quickly no games no [02:01:10] nothing just join get it it's going to [02:01:12] be a great peacemaker it's really going [02:01:15] to bring it together beyond any [02:01:17] anybody's wildest dreams so instead of [02:01:20] building fortresses to keep enemies at [02:01:22] bay the nations of this region should be [02:01:25] building infrastructure ffstructure to [02:01:26] weave your commerce closer together [02:01:29] because you've got to compete with the [02:01:31] big world out there on commerce now. [02:01:32] It's a different kind of competition. [02:01:35] Instead of making weapons and missiles, [02:01:37] the wealth of this region should flow to [02:01:40] schools and medicine industry and [02:01:43] frankly the new hot thing, artificial [02:01:46] intelligence. [02:01:48] It's uh boy, it's a lot of intelligence [02:01:51] you're going to have to be throwing off [02:01:52] to make to pay back these uh sums of [02:01:55] money that they're doing. But that's [02:01:57] that's really the hot one. And I might [02:01:59] say that the United States [02:02:02] a year ago was a dead country. I say it [02:02:05] to people. I heard it first from the [02:02:07] king of Saudi Arabia. I then heard it [02:02:09] from UAE. I heard it from Qatar. I heard [02:02:13] it from many other countries. A year [02:02:15] ago, the United States of America was a [02:02:18] dead country. Now, it's the hottest [02:02:21] country anywhere in the world. It is the [02:02:23] hottest. There's no question about it. [02:02:30] In fact, if you go back a year ago [02:02:33] before the election, although once we [02:02:34] had November 5th, we became hot because [02:02:36] people got it. I would say November 5th [02:02:39] was a time that we became really hot. [02:02:41] But once you go back a couple of years, [02:02:44] uh, if I were in charge and the country [02:02:45] was doing what they, nobody was going to [02:02:47] ask me to speak, nobody asked Joe Biden [02:02:50] to come up and speak. I guarantee you [02:02:51] that. And if they did, he would have [02:02:52] turned them down. I promise you. He [02:02:54] didn't speak. He didn't speak. And he [02:02:57] didn't speak well. But all of the [02:03:00] countries in the Middle East, it could [02:03:03] have what we what we're doing now, it [02:03:05] could have happened a long time ago, but [02:03:07] it was strangled and set back almost [02:03:09] irretrievably by the administrations of [02:03:12] Barack Obama and then Joe Biden. It was [02:03:15] uh there was a hatred toward Israel. [02:03:17] There was an absolute hatred. The [02:03:20] setbacks really started when President [02:03:22] Obama signed the Iran nuclear deal. This [02:03:25] was a disaster for Israel and it was a [02:03:27] disaster for everyone. And I remember [02:03:29] that BB Netanyahu came to the United [02:03:32] States and worked so hard to try and get [02:03:34] Obama not to do that deal. [02:03:46] He worked so hard [02:03:49] [Applause] [02:03:50] and but it was like talking to a wall. I [02:03:53] remember him telling me it was like [02:03:54] talking to a wall. They wanted to go [02:03:57] with Iran. They chose Iran, frankly, [02:03:59] over a lot of other good nations, but in [02:04:02] specifically Israel. And that was the [02:04:04] beginning of a very bad period of time. [02:04:07] You had Obama go out and the Iran [02:04:10] nuclear deal turned out to be a [02:04:12] disaster. And by the way, I terminated [02:04:15] the Iran nuclear deal and I was very [02:04:17] proud to do it. [02:04:32] Yet, even to Iran, whose regime has [02:04:35] inflicted so much death on the Middle [02:04:37] East, the hand of friendship and [02:04:39] cooperation is open. I'm telling you, [02:04:42] they want to make a deal. That's all I [02:04:44] do in my life. I make deals. I'm good at [02:04:47] it. And I've always been good at it. And [02:04:49] I know when they want, even if they [02:04:51] said, "We don't want to make a deal." I [02:04:53] can tell you they want to make a deal. [02:04:56] All right? They do. They want to make a [02:04:57] deal. And we're going to see if we can [02:04:59] do something because this is crazy [02:05:00] what's happening. And we're not going to [02:05:02] have this anymore. Neither the United [02:05:05] States nor Israel bear the people of [02:05:07] Iran any hostility. We merely want to [02:05:10] live in peace. We don't want any looming [02:05:13] threats over our heads and we don't want [02:05:16] to even think in terms of nuclear [02:05:18] destruction. It's not going to happen. [02:05:19] Never will happen. There's nothing that [02:05:22] would do more good for this part of the [02:05:24] world than for Iran's leaders to [02:05:26] renounce terrorists, stop threatening [02:05:28] their neighbors, quit funding their [02:05:30] militant proxies, and finally recognize [02:05:34] Israel's right to existence. They have [02:05:36] to do that. They have to do that. [02:05:40] and to Iran. [02:05:43] And as you know, this is not said out of [02:05:45] weakness. There's no weakness. But I'm [02:05:48] going to say this that we are ready when [02:05:50] you are. And it will be the best [02:05:53] decision that Iran has ever made. And [02:05:56] it's going to happen. It's going to [02:05:57] happen. [02:06:00] They're good people. A lot of the I know [02:06:01] a lot of Iranians in the United States. [02:06:03] They're good people. Smart, hardworking [02:06:06] people. They don't want to see what's [02:06:07] happened to their country. The story of [02:06:10] fierce Israeli resolve and triumph since [02:06:14] October 7th should be proof to the [02:06:16] entire world that those who seek to [02:06:18] destroy this nation are doomed to bitter [02:06:21] failure. The state of Israel is strong [02:06:24] and it will live and thrive forever. [02:06:43] And that is why Israel will always [02:06:45] remain a vital ally of the United States [02:06:48] of America. Israeli share our values [02:06:51] field, [02:06:53] one of the world's most powerful [02:06:55] militaries. You really do. You have an [02:06:56] amazing what a job. What a job you've [02:06:58] done. [02:07:01] and have one of the most innovative [02:07:04] economies on earth. Those are just a few [02:07:06] of the reasons why I'm proud to be the [02:07:08] best friend that Israel has ever had. [02:07:11] And they all say it in the White House. [02:07:14] They all say it. I guess it's true [02:07:17] because everybody says it, maybe you [02:07:19] said it today. Thank you. [02:07:21] But as president, I terminated the [02:07:23] disastrous Iran nuclear deal. And [02:07:25] ultimately, I terminated Iran's nuclear [02:07:28] program with things called B2 bombers. [02:07:30] It was it was swift and it was accurate [02:07:33] and it was uh a military beauty. I [02:07:37] authorized the spending of billions of [02:07:39] dollars which went to Israel's defense [02:07:42] as you know and after years of [02:07:48] and after years of broken promises from [02:07:51] many other American presidents. You know [02:07:53] that they kept promising. I never [02:07:55] understood it until I got there. They [02:07:57] was a lot of pressure put on these [02:07:58] presidents. It was put on me too. But I [02:08:00] didn't yield to the pressure. But every [02:08:03] president for decades said, "We're going [02:08:06] to do it." The difference is I kept my [02:08:08] promise and officially recognized the [02:08:11] capital of Israel and moved the American [02:08:13] embassy to Jerusalem. [02:08:30] Isn't that right, Miriam? [02:08:33] Look at Miriam. She's back there. Stand [02:08:35] up. Miriam, stand up. [02:08:47] Miriam and Sheldon would come into the [02:08:50] office. They'd call me. They'd call me. [02:08:52] I I think he I think they had more trips [02:08:54] to the White House than anybody else I [02:08:56] could think of. Look at her sitting [02:08:57] there. so innocently. [02:09:00] She's got 60 billion in the bank. 60 [02:09:02] billion. And she loves And she I think [02:09:06] she's saying no more. And she loves [02:09:08] Israel, but she loves it. And they would [02:09:10] come in and her husband was a very [02:09:12] aggressive man, but I loved him. He was [02:09:15] a very aggressive, very supportive of [02:09:16] me. And uh he'd call up uh can I come [02:09:20] over and see you? I say, Sheldon, I'm [02:09:23] the president of the United States. It [02:09:26] doesn't work that way. he'd come in and [02:09:27] do Vido, but they uh were very [02:09:31] responsible for so much, including [02:09:33] getting me thinking about Golan Heights, [02:09:35] which is probably one of the greatest [02:09:37] things to ever happen to. [02:09:52] Miriam, stand up, please. You She really [02:09:54] is. I mean, she loves this country. [02:10:06] She loves this country. Her and her [02:10:07] husband are so incredible. We miss him [02:10:09] so dearly. But I actually asked her, I'm [02:10:12] going to get her in trouble with this. [02:10:13] But I actually asked her once. I said, [02:10:14] "So, Miriam, I know you love Israel. [02:10:17] What do you love more, the United States [02:10:19] or Israel?" She refused to answer. That [02:10:22] means that might mean Israel, I must [02:10:25] tell you. [02:10:27] We we love you. Thank you, darling, for [02:10:29] being here. That's a great honor. Great [02:10:32] honor. She a wonderful woman. She is a [02:10:34] great woman. I've always stood for the [02:10:38] people of this community. And I always [02:10:39] will. I'll always be with you. I'm [02:10:41] always going to be with you. I guess [02:10:42] maybe something could happen that [02:10:44] changed my mind. somebody that's really [02:10:46] stupid gets into office and wants to do [02:10:49] really bad things, but that's about it. [02:10:52] And we don't think we're going to have [02:10:53] that happen. I hope we're not going to [02:10:54] have that happen. And this man is a good [02:10:56] man right here. These two men are good [02:10:58] men right here. [02:11:04] Hey, I have an idea, Mr. President. Why [02:11:08] don't you give him a pardon? [02:11:13] >> Give him a pardon. Heat. [02:11:17] Heat. [02:11:27] Heat. Heat. [02:12:01] By the way, there was not in the speech [02:12:03] as you probably know, but I happen to [02:12:06] like this gentleman right over here. And [02:12:08] it just seems to make so much sense. You [02:12:10] know, whether we like it or not, this [02:12:12] has been one of the greatest wartime [02:12:16] presidents. This is what been one of the [02:12:18] greatest wartime presidents and [02:12:22] cigars and s champagne. Who the hell [02:12:24] cares about that? [02:12:42] All right, enough controversy for the [02:12:44] day. Right. It's not actually I don't [02:12:46] think it's very controversial. So you [02:12:48] know I mean I see so popular. You are a [02:12:51] very popular man. You know why? Because [02:12:52] you know how to win. [02:13:01] Over [02:13:09] the past two years, I've met many of the [02:13:11] families of the Israelis taken hostage [02:13:15] and those that were taken hostage. [02:13:17] Unbelievable. I've looked into their [02:13:18] eyes. I've seen the worst nightmares of [02:13:21] their suffering. But I've also seen [02:13:24] something else. The beautiful love of [02:13:25] the people. The love of people, frankly, [02:13:28] that hold things together. The love that [02:13:31] gives you the courage to carry on [02:13:32] through thousands of years of [02:13:34] persecution and repression and to emerge [02:13:37] with the heart of David. It's a heart of [02:13:41] David. It's that love that's defeated [02:13:43] the enemies of civilization, built this [02:13:46] incredible country and this unbelievable [02:13:49] economy and forged one of the great [02:13:52] democracies of the world. That is why [02:13:54] it's a true honor to stand here today [02:13:57] and address this assembly in your [02:13:59] ancient and eternal now capital [02:14:02] Jerusalem. I'm proud to have helped in [02:14:05] that regard. This city and this nation [02:14:07] stand as living proof that a much [02:14:10] brighter future for this entire region [02:14:12] is truly within our grasp. For thousands [02:14:15] of years, Jerusalem has been a home to [02:14:18] Christians, Jews, Muslims, and people of [02:14:21] all ethnicities and creeds. This is the [02:14:24] holy center of the world's three great [02:14:27] Abrahamic face. [02:14:30] I like that, too. [02:14:33] Adorned. It's the first time I've seen [02:14:35] that word in a while. adorned with their [02:14:38] sacred sights and alive with their [02:14:40] pilgrims and visitors from every corner [02:14:43] of the globe. [02:14:45] But here between the Western Wall, the [02:14:48] Temple Mount, and the hill called [02:14:50] Calvary, [02:14:52] people of every faith and background [02:14:54] live, work, pray, serve, and raise their [02:14:56] families side by side, and they do it [02:14:59] with love. [02:15:01] This example is just one of the modern [02:15:04] miracles that Israel has given to the [02:15:06] world. And just in closing, the leaders [02:15:10] in this chamber know better than anyone [02:15:12] else the challenges of disharmony. And [02:15:15] it's been easily won. No, it hasn't. It [02:15:19] has not been. It's been so tough. But it [02:15:23] has been some say a miracle. What you've [02:15:26] done is a miracle. [02:15:29] Look at your size. [02:15:31] Look at your chances when it all [02:15:33] started. And you know, if you think [02:15:35] about it, you are safer today, stronger [02:15:39] today, and more respected today than at [02:15:42] any time [02:15:45] in the history of Israel. Think of it. [02:15:52] People used to say it wouldn't exist. [02:15:54] They don't say that anymore, do they? [02:15:56] Yet if safety, security, and coexistence [02:15:58] can thrive here in the winding alleys [02:16:01] and ancient paths of Jerusalem, then [02:16:03] surely peace and respect can flourish [02:16:06] among the nations of the broader Middle [02:16:08] East. The God who once dwelled among his [02:16:11] people in this city still calls us in [02:16:14] the words of scripture, the turn from [02:16:16] evil and do good to seek peace and [02:16:20] pursue it. So he still whispers truth [02:16:23] into the hills and nles and valleys of [02:16:25] his magnificent creation. And he still [02:16:28] writes hope into the hearts of his [02:16:30] children all over the world. And that is [02:16:32] why even after 3,000 years of pain and [02:16:35] conflict, the people of Israel have [02:16:38] never given up from the threats of [02:16:41] Zionism, from all sorts of threats. You [02:16:45] want you want the promise of Zion. You [02:16:49] want the promise of success and hope and [02:16:52] love and God. And the people of America [02:16:55] have never lost faith in the promise of [02:16:57] a great and blessed future for all of [02:17:00] us. From the very first day that modern [02:17:03] Israel was founded, we have stood [02:17:05] together through thick and thin [02:17:08] thin of of setbacks and through victory [02:17:11] and defeat, through glory and heartache. [02:17:14] We have built industries together. We [02:17:17] have made discoveries together. We have [02:17:19] confronted evil together. And we have [02:17:21] waged war together. And perhaps most [02:17:24] beautifully of all, we have made peace [02:17:26] together. And this week, against all [02:17:29] odds, we have done the impossible and [02:17:32] brought our hostages home. [02:17:52] So now we're going to forge a future [02:17:54] that is worthy of our heritage. We're [02:17:56] going to build a legacy that all the [02:17:58] people of this region can be proud of. [02:18:01] New bonds of friendship, cooperation, [02:18:03] and commerce will join.
