[00:00:01] Welcome state or senator US Senator
[00:00:03] Lindsey Graham is with us here this
[00:00:05] morning. He's on his way to Myrtle Beach
[00:00:07] for an event a little later on today.
[00:00:09] Senator Graham, it's great to hear your
[00:00:10] voice here this morning. Well, I'm not
[00:00:13] in Texas on the oil rigs and I'm dying
[00:00:15] to hear how it's going out there. I'm
[00:00:18] taking the name out of consideration for
[00:00:20] the football job. So, it's cloudy and
[00:00:23] wet and rainy. So, you're all right
[00:00:24] about that.
[00:00:25] >> Yeah, it's wet. It's rainy. no job to
[00:00:28] lead the coastal football team and uh
[00:00:30] you know you're not welding on the rigs.
[00:00:31] >> You know, we've screwed up college
[00:00:32] football. I mean, I'm I'm losing
[00:00:35] interest in it. I mean, it's just the
[00:00:37] way we've done it. Between the portal
[00:00:38] and all the money is not even college
[00:00:41] football anymore.
[00:00:42] >> Yeah. Between the portal, the money, the
[00:00:43] fact there are more rules within the
[00:00:45] professional ranks than they are the
[00:00:46] college ranks. And the quality of play,
[00:00:48] you know, the quality of play to me has
[00:00:50] fallen off because of it.
[00:00:52] Well, I mean, if you're a 19-year-old
[00:00:54] kid, I don't blame them for taking the
[00:00:55] money. But, you know, in the pros, you
[00:00:57] sign a contract, right? I mean, you get
[00:00:59] some kind of college, you got them for
[00:01:01] three years or whatever, that way you
[00:01:02] get your money back. This is just a
[00:01:04] free-for-all, and it's going to be a
[00:01:06] scandal after scandal eventually.
[00:01:08] There's some pretty nefarious people out
[00:01:10] there representing these kids. Uh, but
[00:01:12] anyway, we we'll deal with that. But it
[00:01:15] hadn't hurt their college baseball
[00:01:17] program, that's for darn sure.
[00:01:18] >> No, it hasn't. and we make hopefully a
[00:01:20] return trip again back toback maybe
[00:01:22] years to Omaha uh next summer.
[00:01:26] >> Hey, let me ask you, you talk about
[00:01:27] nefarious actors. What we got about a
[00:01:29] hundred people who have been arrested up
[00:01:31] in the state of Minnesota for massive
[00:01:33] fraud pertaining to entitlement
[00:01:35] programs, COVID relief money. To me,
[00:01:37] that's just the tip of the iceberg. Uh
[00:01:39] why are we catching so much heat? Why is
[00:01:41] the Trump administration catching so
[00:01:42] much heat for trying to, you know, rid
[00:01:44] these programs of all the waste, fraud,
[00:01:46] and abuse?
[00:01:48] Well, the the people are giving Trump
[00:01:50] administration heat are the ones that
[00:01:52] let these folks in to begin with. Are
[00:01:54] you shocked there's gambling going on? I
[00:01:56] mean, you know, we had like 11 million
[00:01:58] people, 12 million, whatever the number
[00:02:00] is coming to the country in four years.
[00:02:02] And the co, you know, we shut down the
[00:02:05] whole country. That was a tough time.
[00:02:07] And, you know, fraud everywhere. And
[00:02:10] like Obamacare, we got to deal with
[00:02:12] that. That the subsidies for Obamacare
[00:02:14] expire
[00:02:15] at the end of the year. And I'm not
[00:02:17] going to vote to extend this scam. 100%
[00:02:20] of the money for Obamacare subsidies go
[00:02:23] to the top five insurance companies.
[00:02:26] They take 20% off the top. They flow the
[00:02:28] rest of the ex these to the exchanges.
[00:02:31] We were promised our premiums would go
[00:02:33] down. They've gone up by over 100%. So
[00:02:36] Trump and I and many of us want to take
[00:02:38] the money and create health savings
[00:02:39] accounts, give it directly to the
[00:02:42] consumers. They go shop around and help
[00:02:44] pay their deductibles. But this stuff
[00:02:46] out in Minnesota is just a system and
[00:02:48] it's filled with the taxpayer. No other
[00:02:50] way to say it.
[00:02:51] >> Talking about the US Senator Lindsey
[00:02:53] Graham, we got him for a few more
[00:02:54] minutes. He's in the Myrtle Beach area
[00:02:56] today. In terms of the redistricting
[00:02:58] that we have seen, Supreme Court sides
[00:03:00] with Texas on those congressional maps.
[00:03:02] California, Virginia responding. Is this
[00:03:04] going to play into the majority and who
[00:03:06] has that majority come November of next
[00:03:08] year?
[00:03:09] >> It's kind of like NIL for redistricting.
[00:03:12] Yeah, it's like it's the wild wild west
[00:03:15] right now. You know, if we don't hold
[00:03:17] the House, which I hope we can, they'll
[00:03:19] pee in Trump on peach and Trump on day
[00:03:22] one for just breathing air. But if we
[00:03:24] can hold the House and keep the Senate,
[00:03:26] then we can actually do some things. I'd
[00:03:28] like to another one big beautiful bill
[00:03:30] I'd like to keep tax rate low. Uh you
[00:03:34] know, do some healthc care reform, try
[00:03:35] to chip away Obamacare. Uh there's, you
[00:03:38] know, gas and groceries way too high.
[00:03:41] We're trying to pump more oil and gas
[00:03:43] that we own to lower energy costs. We're
[00:03:46] relieving the mandates on vehicles which
[00:03:48] will lower car car cost, uh, grocery
[00:03:51] cost, you know, paying the rent, utility
[00:03:55] bills. So 26 is going to be a real
[00:03:57] effort to make America more affordable.
[00:04:01] >> And that was the thing that a lot of us
[00:04:02] have been talking with the Republican
[00:04:05] party, chairman of the state, Drew
[00:04:06] McKisick, a little earlier today, you
[00:04:08] know, about affordability, the issue of
[00:04:09] the growth season. They said, "Hey, you
[00:04:10] know, we need to pack our patients.
[00:04:12] American people are about out of
[00:04:14] patience when it comes to what they've
[00:04:15] been paying at the grocery store, at the
[00:04:17] pump, with their health insurance, their
[00:04:19] car insurance, their home insurance. So,
[00:04:21] do you feel that this one big beautiful
[00:04:22] bill affordability will really start to
[00:04:24] take over?
[00:04:26] >> Yeah, it will kick in. We, you know, the
[00:04:28] largest tax cut in American history.
[00:04:29] Most of this kicks in next year. Largest
[00:04:32] spending cut. We can do more. I'd like
[00:04:33] to take down the shot at spending, but
[00:04:36] just use some common sense here. the guy
[00:04:38] out this what's he trying to do you know
[00:04:40] get American oil so we're less dependent
[00:04:42] on foreign oil the bigger the supply the
[00:04:45] lower the cost Biden made it almost
[00:04:47] impossible to explore for oil and gas
[00:04:49] here as a matter of fact we couldn't
[00:04:51] ship oil and gas we have to Europe to
[00:04:53] compete with Russia his energy policy
[00:04:56] was actually insane so the fact that the
[00:04:59] guys out in Texas remain drilling for
[00:05:01] oil will eventually lower prices here so
[00:05:04] supply demand on the food side when fuel
[00:05:07] goes down. You know, money for tractors
[00:05:09] and all that other stuff goes down and
[00:05:11] you'll hopefully see some relief at the
[00:05:14] uh grocery store when input costs go
[00:05:16] down. I'm here with the farmers. God
[00:05:18] bless the American farmer. We have an
[00:05:20] abundant supply of food. But they're
[00:05:22] taking on the chin. When you fight
[00:05:24] China, first thing China did is stop
[00:05:26] buying American soybeans and that hurt
[00:05:28] our farmers. But we got to stand up to
[00:05:30] people who rip us off. And these tariffs
[00:05:33] have have gotten people's attention.
[00:05:34] They've hurt us some. They definitely
[00:05:36] opened up markets. So, it's a
[00:05:38] complicated world out there. If you got
[00:05:40] property in Venezuela, sell.
[00:05:43] >> Hey, real quick. And obviously, one of
[00:05:46] the things that you put a lot of focus
[00:05:48] into is foreign policy. If you could
[00:05:49] give the Trump administration a grade 12
[00:05:52] months into this first year of the
[00:05:54] second term, what would be the grade B
[00:05:55] pertaining to foreign policy?
[00:05:58] >> 2032 for Trump. I'm loving this. I mean,
[00:06:01] you know, it is about groceries and gas,
[00:06:03] but you also got to be safe. We got
[00:06:05] these drug cartels living large in our
[00:06:07] backyard. Not anymore. They're killing
[00:06:09] more Americans than ISIS, al Qaeda
[00:06:11] combined. Drugs coming in from
[00:06:12] Venezuela, the guys associated with
[00:06:14] terrorist groups and M East. Trump's
[00:06:16] going to take this guy down. We don't
[00:06:18] need to invade the country. But we got a
[00:06:20] drug caliphate in our backyard. Take it
[00:06:22] down. Hope we can end this war in
[00:06:24] Ukraine and Russia without starting in
[00:06:26] with China and Taiwan. When it comes to
[00:06:28] Israel, he's been Israel's best friends.
[00:06:30] We got Hamas and Taz on the run. We got
[00:06:33] a
[00:06:34] new facility
[00:06:36] as I spent all day with him yesterday.
[00:06:38] We made these green.
[00:06:42] Remember the movie Hotel Rwanda? It was
[00:06:45] a slaughterhouse
[00:06:48] for the last 30 years and yesterday
[00:06:54] with President Trump that war. This guy
[00:06:57] does not get the credit he deserves. the
[00:07:00] president would have had two or three
[00:07:01] Nobel peace prizes by now. Uh India,
[00:07:04] Pakistan, and nobody wants to talk about
[00:07:06] foreign policy until it's too damn late.
[00:07:09] He you let these guys come over here to
[00:07:11] kill us. You keep them over there. If
[00:07:13] you can make peace between Rwanda and
[00:07:15] Congo, the largest deposit of rare earth
[00:07:19] minerals in the world for batteries and
[00:07:22] the 21st century uh needs of the of the
[00:07:25] world are in Congo and Rwanda. and we're
[00:07:28] going to do deals with them that will
[00:07:30] cut China's knees off uh in in Africa
[00:07:34] and you know help us dominate the 21st
[00:07:37] century.
[00:07:38] >> Senator Lindsey Graham with us here this
[00:07:40] morning. Senator, thanks for the quick
[00:07:41] turnaround. I know you'll be in the area
[00:07:42] a little later on this morning.
[00:07:44] Appreciate you phoning in for a few
[00:07:45] minutes on the way in.
[00:07:47] >> I'm out for the Coastal Carolina job, so
[00:07:50] good luck. All right, we'll catch up
[00:07:52] soon. All right.
[00:07:53] >> Bye.
[00:07:54] >> All right. Thanks again. That's Senator
[00:07:55] Lindsey Graham.
