[00:00:00] Thank you very much, Tony. It's a
[00:00:01] privilege to be here. Thanks to all of
[00:00:02] you for being here. Here's the simple
[00:00:04] fact. There are more abortions committed
[00:00:07] today in the United States than when Row
[00:00:09] versus Wade was the law of the land. Let
[00:00:12] that sink in. There are more abortions
[00:00:13] today in the United States than when Row
[00:00:16] versus Wade was the law of the land. And
[00:00:18] why is that? It's because of the
[00:00:19] chemical abortion drug methreone. Nearly
[00:00:22] 70% of the abortions that are committed
[00:00:25] in the United States today are committed
[00:00:27] because of methapressone. That's just
[00:00:29] the fact of the matter. And the question
[00:00:31] is, will anything that the American
[00:00:33] people do have any effect? Do the
[00:00:36] American people have any right to
[00:00:38] protect life in their states, in their
[00:00:39] localities, nationally? Because what the
[00:00:42] Biden administration said is no. The
[00:00:44] Biden administration said, "We don't
[00:00:46] care what your state laws are. We're
[00:00:47] going to allow abortion doctors and for
[00:00:50] that matter non-d doctors for that
[00:00:52] matter we don't know who from overseas
[00:00:54] to mail in this abortion drug to every
[00:00:57] single jurisdiction in the United States
[00:01:00] of America. And when I say overseas, I
[00:01:02] mean overseas. You can go on right now,
[00:01:04] check me. You can log on and click on
[00:01:07] sites that are not based in the United
[00:01:09] States. They're hosted in India. They're
[00:01:11] hosted in other foreign countries. You
[00:01:12] can click for the pill and get it sent
[00:01:14] to you. the chemical abortion drug
[00:01:16] methreone. You can get it sent to you
[00:01:19] with no doctor visit, no oversight, no
[00:01:22] follow-up, no nothing. Why is that a
[00:01:24] problem? Well, besides the fact that it
[00:01:26] is lethal to the baby in almost every
[00:01:28] single instance, there's also the fact
[00:01:30] of the matter that fully 11% of women,
[00:01:33] more than one in 10 who take this drug
[00:01:35] without any sort of doctor aid end up in
[00:01:38] a serious adverse health event. That's
[00:01:40] the medical term for in a lot of
[00:01:42] trouble. In a lot of trouble. Like what?
[00:01:44] like hemorrhaging,
[00:01:46] like sepsis, like life-threatening
[00:01:49] conditions. And the really egregious
[00:01:51] thing is the rate of incidence of
[00:01:54] adverse medical events, the rate of
[00:01:55] incidence of medical harm to women is 22
[00:01:59] times greater than the FDA says on its
[00:02:01] label. 22 times. So, not only is this
[00:02:05] pill, is this drug available in every
[00:02:07] state, in every city, in every locality,
[00:02:09] no matter what the voters of the country
[00:02:11] say, no matter what the DOB's opinion
[00:02:13] says, but also every woman is being lied
[00:02:16] to when you look at the label that says,
[00:02:19] "Oh, it's relatively safe. Only one half
[00:02:21] of 1% experience any events." It's not
[00:02:23] true. It's just not true. And what we're
[00:02:27] here today to do is to say it's time to
[00:02:30] stand up and protect women. And it's
[00:02:32] time to vindicate the principle on which
[00:02:34] this country is founded, which is that
[00:02:36] every life has value. That we are all
[00:02:39] created equal in the image of God. That
[00:02:41] our rights come from God, not from some
[00:02:43] government. And we want to vindicate
[00:02:44] that principle. We want to protect life.
[00:02:46] And we want to give voice to the
[00:02:48] American people and their right to
[00:02:50] protect life state by state, city by
[00:02:52] city, and yes, here in the United States
[00:02:54] Congress. That's what this fight is
[00:02:55] about. I'm proud that Republicans are
[00:02:57] standing up for this fight. It's what
[00:02:58] the party really is founded on. This is
[00:03:01] a party that came to birth in the fight
[00:03:04] over whether or not a human being's life
[00:03:06] could be taken and destroyed. That was
[00:03:09] slavery in the 1860s.
[00:03:11] The same moral principle is at issue
[00:03:14] today. Is a life valuable? Does it have
[00:03:17] inherent meaning? Does it have inherent
[00:03:19] worth because of the image of God? Our
[00:03:21] party is founded on that principle. And
[00:03:24] we want to vindicate it. We want to
[00:03:26] protect it. We want to see it made real
[00:03:28] in the 21st century. That's what we're
[00:03:30] here to do today. I want to say thank
[00:03:31] you to these attorneys general behind me
[00:03:33] who are really fighting the good fight,
[00:03:35] going to court, standing up for their
[00:03:37] state's laws, standing up for their
[00:03:38] voters, standing up for the democratic
[00:03:40] process, and above all for life. And
[00:03:42] thank you as always to the Family
[00:03:43] Research Council and Tony for his
[00:03:45] terrific leadership on this. I hope that
[00:03:46] this will be a breakthrough year when it
[00:03:49] comes to protecting life in the United
[00:03:50] States of America. Thanks for having us
[00:03:52] today.
