[00:00:13] Okay, thank you very much. It's very
[00:00:15] important day. We have a lot of
[00:00:16] important days, but I'm thrilled to sign
[00:00:20] the Consolidated
[00:00:22] Appropriations Act to immediately reopen
[00:00:25] the federal government and fund the vast
[00:00:27] majority of operations through the rest
[00:00:29] of the fiscal year. I want to thank uh
[00:00:33] and I have a list here because the list
[00:00:34] is growing all the time. Everybody wants
[00:00:37] to be a part of this. So, I think I'm
[00:00:40] going to read the names. I think you
[00:00:41] deserve to have your names read. If I
[00:00:43] don't read any, just raise your hand and
[00:00:46] let's have it. But I I have to start
[00:00:48] with Speaker Mike Johnson who's done an
[00:00:51] incredible job. Done really an
[00:00:52] incredible job and we we appreciate it.
[00:00:55] Tom Cole, Ronnie Jackson, Buddy Carter,
[00:00:59] Stephanie Bice,
[00:01:01] Ken Calbertt, John Carter, David Joyce,
[00:01:05] Steve Wack, and on Steve Wack. I just uh
[00:01:07] Where's Steve? Where's
[00:01:09] >> Steve? Mr. President,
[00:01:10] >> come here. Dave, I want to just say he
[00:01:13] had a rough that's a rough week or so,
[00:01:16] right?
[00:01:18] >> Incredible wife who passed away, but uh
[00:01:22] she was an incredible woman and
[00:01:23] everybody knows that everybody up here.
[00:01:25] So, we just we're with you all the way.
[00:01:27] >> Thank you, Mr. President.
[00:01:28] >> I'm glad you could be here.
[00:01:30] >> I understand.
[00:01:32] >> That's a rough deal. He went through
[00:01:34] rough. He He had a good marriage. Good
[00:01:36] marriage is better than a bad marriage,
[00:01:39] but it makes it a little bit tougher
[00:01:40] when something like that happens.
[00:01:43] >> Robert Adhalt,
[00:01:45] >> not here.
[00:01:46] >> Susan Collins. Hi, Sus. I heard you're
[00:01:49] doing good. Cindy Hyde Smith,
[00:01:51] >> right here,
[00:01:52] >> Cindy. Well, you always do good, Cindy.
[00:01:55] >> Thank you.
[00:01:55] >> Bill Hagerty. Hi, Bill.
[00:01:58] >> Lindsey Graeme, who's way up in the
[00:02:00] polls. Lindsay, what's going on with
[00:02:01] you? You're so high. I don't
[00:02:03] >> Has a lot to do with you. Don't forget.
[00:02:06] Is Has the opponent dropped out yet? Has
[00:02:08] your Democrat opponent dropped?
[00:02:10] >> South Carolina.
[00:02:12] >> Mario Diaz Bolard.
[00:02:14] >> Yes, sir.
[00:02:14] >> Thank you, Mario.
[00:02:16] >> Katie Brit.
[00:02:17] >> Yes, sir.
[00:02:18] >> Hi, Katie. What a job you're doing.
[00:02:20] >> Thank you.
[00:02:20] >> John Baraso. He knows more about
[00:02:23] healthcare than any human being on
[00:02:25] earth. I think when I need something,
[00:02:27] John is a great person, too. Shelley
[00:02:29] Moore capita. Thank you, Shel.
[00:02:31] >> Thank you, sir.
[00:02:32] >> Very much. Hal Duncan, associate
[00:02:35] director of the legis of legislative
[00:02:38] affairs. Thank you, Hal. Great job. And
[00:02:40] Susan Ross Averson and Betsy McDonald.
[00:02:43] They were really instrumental and they
[00:02:45] really worked hard. So, I want to thank
[00:02:47] you all. I don't want to anybody I
[00:02:48] didn't mention.
[00:02:50] Oh boy. That would be nice because you
[00:02:52] know it's a little embarrassing when
[00:02:53] they stick their hand up. I think they
[00:02:56] just be quiet. It's probably easier. But
[00:02:58] I'm glad [laughter]
[00:02:59] I'm glad we got you in because you
[00:03:01] really have worked hard. This bill is a
[00:03:03] great victory for the American people.
[00:03:05] Instead of a bloated and wasteful,
[00:03:08] omnibus monstrosity full of special
[00:03:11] interest handouts, we've succeeded in
[00:03:13] passing a fiscally responsible package
[00:03:16] that actually cuts wasteful federal
[00:03:19] spending while supporting critical
[00:03:21] programs for the safety, security, and
[00:03:23] prosperity of the American people.
[00:03:26] and uh this group of people behind me
[00:03:28] and and others lot of votes they really
[00:03:32] have done a fantastic job because uh
[00:03:35] closing the country you know we had a 5
[00:03:37] point it looks like 5.6 six and it could
[00:03:40] have been seven. We lost a point and a
[00:03:42] half because of a 42-day shutdown and uh
[00:03:46] and that's the least of it, but we would
[00:03:48] have been at seven. Can you believe it?
[00:03:49] Seven GDP. Nobody ever heard of a seven
[00:03:52] GDP. So, I'm glad we got this done
[00:03:54] because this would be another point and
[00:03:56] a half or something or maybe worse. The
[00:03:58] bill officially ends all taxpayer
[00:04:01] subsidies for radical far-left woke
[00:04:04] programming on NPR and PBS or just a
[00:04:08] waste of money. It slashes nearly 10
[00:04:11] billion dollars in wasteful foreign aid
[00:04:13] spending, giving money to countries that
[00:04:16] don't need it. They have plenty of
[00:04:18] money. And uh we ended that. That was so
[00:04:22] important. 10 billion dollars. Think of
[00:04:24] it. It continues the closure of USID and
[00:04:29] creates a brand new America First
[00:04:30] Opportunity Fund. We're responsibly
[00:04:34] providing foreign assistance to nations
[00:04:36] where it actually serves American
[00:04:39] interests. So, we have nations that do
[00:04:41] help us and it serves our interests and
[00:04:43] we have something to help them out with.
[00:04:45] This bill also cuts funding to abusive
[00:04:48] and weaponized IRS programs. I was a
[00:04:52] victim of that, too. You probably read
[00:04:54] that. Did you read that recently? Right.
[00:04:56] >> Sure.
[00:04:56] >> I was, I guess, the ultimate victim that
[00:04:59] were used to harass American taxpayers.
[00:05:02] It builds on the Republican reisions
[00:05:05] package passed last summer, which saved
[00:05:07] Americans billions and billions of
[00:05:09] dollars. It fully funds our military,
[00:05:12] includes a well-deserved pay raise for
[00:05:14] all American service members, and makes
[00:05:17] historic investments in the American
[00:05:20] ship building industry, which is great.
[00:05:22] We're really starting to do something
[00:05:25] incredible with ship building. And I
[00:05:26] don't know if you saw that uh the United
[00:05:29] States of America uh for the first time
[00:05:31] in over 30 years beat Japan. We love
[00:05:36] Japan. Great country, but their power in
[00:05:39] steel making that we uh produce more
[00:05:43] steel this year than Japan. Think of
[00:05:46] that. More steel than Japan. And Japan
[00:05:48] is a powerhouse of that. and we were
[00:05:52] pretty much dead when it came to steel.
[00:05:54] So, what do you think of that? To me,
[00:05:57] when I heard that, we did more than
[00:05:59] Japan. It continues to fund
[00:06:03] uh deportation flights that are removing
[00:06:06] dangerous illegal aliens from our
[00:06:07] country. It continues historically
[00:06:09] successful efforts to reduce crime in
[00:06:12] our nation's capital. We have a very
[00:06:14] safe city right now. We have a city that
[00:06:16] is like a different world from what it
[00:06:19] was a year and a half ago when you
[00:06:21] couldn't walk down a street without
[00:06:23] being uh hurt very badly. I want to say
[00:06:26] that in a nice way. Washington DC is a
[00:06:30] safe city. Memphis, by the way, is down.
[00:06:33] Crime is down 77%.
[00:06:35] >> Amen.
[00:06:35] >> And uh in New Orleans, I don't know if
[00:06:39] you heard these numbers, but uh in New
[00:06:41] Orleans, we started three weeks ago,
[00:06:43] four weeks ago max. and crime is down
[00:06:46] 68%. It's going to be down to
[00:06:48] practically nothing within the next
[00:06:49] month. Pretty amazing. But it all helped
[00:06:52] cut the number of murders in DC by 80%.
[00:06:58] And we have uh numbers coming up, newer
[00:07:00] numbers. We're down 97%
[00:07:03] in murders. A horrible thing to even be
[00:07:05] talking about murders in DC. But we were
[00:07:08] a lot of people were being killed in
[00:07:10] Washington DC if you can believe it. And
[00:07:13] now we have a very safe, very uh I don't
[00:07:16] know if there's any such thing as
[00:07:18] crimefree, but pretty pretty close in
[00:07:22] January compared to 12 months ago. So we
[00:07:24] have close to 90 95%
[00:07:28] down crime in Washington DC. It allows
[00:07:31] all of you people to walk to the White
[00:07:33] House instead of getting into an Uber
[00:07:36] and getting mugged even as the Uber
[00:07:38] progresses. Okay? and it continues
[00:07:41] funding for the Department of Homeland
[00:07:43] Security until later in the year. And
[00:07:46] finally, I extreme I am extremely
[00:07:48] pleased to announce that this bill
[00:07:50] includes a newly designated Oh, wow.
[00:07:53] movie star Melania Trump foster youth to
[00:07:58] independence initiative. So, she really
[00:08:00] loves the children and she's had a
[00:08:02] tremendous success. So, it's the number
[00:08:04] one documentary in 19 years. Can you
[00:08:07] believe this?
[00:08:09] What do I get out of it? Get nothing out
[00:08:12] of it. Now I have So I had a top model,
[00:08:14] now I have a top movie star, but we have
[00:08:17] a great first lady. She loves children
[00:08:19] and she had a tremendous vote on this.
[00:08:21] And I want to just say Melania Trump
[00:08:24] foster youth to independence initiative
[00:08:26] within the Department of Housing and
[00:08:28] Urban Development, which will support
[00:08:30] America's foster youth and provide them
[00:08:33] critical resources as they age out of
[00:08:35] the foster care system. And the first
[00:08:38] lady loves children and she's been very
[00:08:40] much involved with uh children and
[00:08:44] helping them out and making them better.
[00:08:45] That's what she wants to do. Wants to
[00:08:47] help them and she wants to make them
[00:08:49] better. She does a great job of it.
[00:08:50] She's respected and uh her movie uh got
[00:08:54] really incredible reviews. She's she's
[00:08:57] done we're all proud of her actually.
[00:08:59] It's amazing. Not easy to do that. Not
[00:09:02] easy to do it. So, I just want to thank
[00:09:04] everybody for being here. if you uh
[00:09:07] would have some questions. I might just
[00:09:08] ask before you do that. These are all
[00:09:11] outstanding politicians, the top my
[00:09:15] opinion, the top in the whole world. But
[00:09:17] that's, you know, one of those things
[00:09:18] I'd like to build it up a little bit,
[00:09:19] but they are they're the top
[00:09:21] politicians. They're the top political
[00:09:23] minds. And if you have any statement,
[00:09:26] does anybody have a statement that you'd
[00:09:27] like to make? We'll start on the left
[00:09:29] side. Anybody? How about Mr. Speaker?
[00:09:32] >> Well, this is a big thing, Mr.
[00:09:33] President. Thank you for your leadership
[00:09:34] and helping us steward this through. For
[00:09:36] a long time, we wanted to get back to
[00:09:38] regular order in the appropriations
[00:09:40] process. And you're standing up here
[00:09:41] with the with the the best appropriators
[00:09:43] in the business and and and have served
[00:09:45] in many years. And we've forced the
[00:09:47] muscle memory back. We're getting back
[00:09:49] to that regular order process. 12
[00:09:50] separate appropriations bills. We've
[00:09:52] gotten them to your desk. And this is a
[00:09:54] a big thing. It seems like a small
[00:09:55] thing, but it's a big thing. And we're
[00:09:57] spending less money year-over-year. And
[00:09:59] with all the innovations and things that
[00:10:00] you said there, this is good for the
[00:10:02] country. And America is back. The the
[00:10:04] hat is appropriate. It's the right right
[00:10:05] slogan.
[00:10:06] >> This is a new hat we just came out.
[00:10:08] America is back. Look, CNN's thrilled.
[00:10:10] Look at her. She's never smiles. I never
[00:10:13] see her smile. Someday I'll see her
[00:10:15] smile.
[00:10:15] >> Mr. President, could I mention that
[00:10:17] there's significant healthc care reform
[00:10:19] in this bill? EBM reform, something that
[00:10:21] you have been working on and we
[00:10:23] appreciate and applaud your efforts
[00:10:25] bringing drug prices down for citizens
[00:10:27] here in America. Not only that, but we
[00:10:30] extended teleaalth and and also we we
[00:10:34] are addressing maternal mortality in
[00:10:35] this bill. Rural health care has been a
[00:10:38] big part of your of your focus and we
[00:10:41] appreciate that.
[00:10:41] >> Thank you very much. Thank you buddy.
[00:10:43] You know a very big thing I think for
[00:10:44] all of us is most favored nations on
[00:10:47] drug pricing. So for 30 years they've
[00:10:50] been talking about it more than that and
[00:10:52] it's basically we now will take uh med
[00:10:56] prescription drugs will come down to the
[00:10:58] lowest price anywhere in the world. So
[00:11:01] if a country is selling a pill for $10
[00:11:04] and we're selling it for $130 which is
[00:11:07] not much of an exaggeration at all. We
[00:11:10] were paying the highest drug prices
[00:11:12] anywhere in the world. Now we'll be
[00:11:14] paying tied with the lowest price its
[00:11:16] most favored nations. we will have the
[00:11:19] lowest price anywhere in the world. So a
[00:11:21] pill that was for $130 will be down to
[00:11:26] $20. So you can make a case that that's
[00:11:29] 800 900% or like the press likes to hear
[00:11:33] it's about 80%. But we're going to get
[00:11:36] reductions like nobody's ever seen. And
[00:11:38] frankly the Republican party should be
[00:11:41] able to win the midterms on that alone.
[00:11:42] That's the biggest thing there is. most
[00:11:45] favored nations. We're going to be
[00:11:46] bringing the price of drugs down. When I
[00:11:49] in my first term, I got it down 1/8 of
[00:11:52] 1% and I was so proud because it's the
[00:11:54] first time in 28 years that drug prices
[00:11:57] came down. And now we're talking about
[00:12:00] uh bringing it down by 80, 90, 75, 68. I
[00:12:07] mean, we have I have numbers in the back
[00:12:08] that nobody can believe. Most favorite
[00:12:10] nations. And remember, the Republicans
[00:12:12] did that. The Democrats did not do that.
[00:12:14] Republicans did it. And that's going to
[00:12:17] have a huge impact also on health care
[00:12:19] because medicine, I mean, it's a big
[00:12:21] chunk of health care. And if you're
[00:12:23] bringing something down from uh $100
[00:12:28] down to $20, $18 because we were
[00:12:32] subsidizing the entire world. And
[00:12:35] frankly, I had to get the countries to
[00:12:36] go along with it. And I had to threaten
[00:12:38] tariffs against them if they didn't
[00:12:40] approve. and the healthc care companies
[00:12:42] who weren't easy either, but they said
[00:12:44] it doesn't matter because they'll never
[00:12:46] get the countries because they didn't
[00:12:48] really want to do it. And I got the
[00:12:50] countries. They got every one of them.
[00:12:52] And uh really it's people can't even
[00:12:55] believe it. But for the people standing
[00:12:58] behind me, you should you if you use
[00:13:00] that alone, you should win. We should
[00:13:02] win the elections coming up. Uh anybody
[00:13:05] else? How about on this side?
[00:13:07] >> You mentioned the IRS, Mr. President.
[00:13:08] Their their behavior has been um
[00:13:10] atrocious. If you think about leaking
[00:13:13] your tax returns, the tax returns of
[00:13:14] others, and never any accountability. I
[00:13:16] must have questioned Janet Yellen four
[00:13:18] times, five times under oath about this
[00:13:20] and never an answer. We stripped $10
[00:13:22] billion from the IRS in this bill that
[00:13:25] you just signed. And today I launched an
[00:13:28] investigation with my staff on all of
[00:13:30] these contractors that are associated
[00:13:32] with the ones that allowed your
[00:13:34] information to be put out. these
[00:13:35] contractors that hire activists to come
[00:13:38] in and do their work. These corporations
[00:13:40] here in America that bring activists in
[00:13:42] to to do their work, that's going to
[00:13:44] come to an end.
[00:13:46] >> They did leak my tax returns. It was
[00:13:48] terrible. The good news is I paid a hell
[00:13:50] of a lot of tax. I paid tens of millions
[00:13:53] of dollars. I said, "Where are my
[00:13:55] accountants? I want to talk to my
[00:13:56] accountant." [laughter]
[00:13:57] So, but they did. They leaked my tax.
[00:13:59] They didn't do it in a nice way. They
[00:14:01] tried to
[00:14:02] >> get something out of it. No, they're bad
[00:14:04] people. ability is coming though. You
[00:14:05] think about the the phone companies that
[00:14:07] leaked our telephone records, several of
[00:14:09] us here, right?
[00:14:10] >> Uh Verizon leaked my telephone records.
[00:14:12] You you you think about uh what what's
[00:14:15] happened across the country. This is
[00:14:16] going to come to an end.
[00:14:17] >> And we should have voter ID, by the way.
[00:14:19] We should have a lot of the things that
[00:14:20] I think everybody wants to see. Who
[00:14:22] would not want voter ID? Only somebody
[00:14:25] that wants to cheat. Think of it. We
[00:14:27] don't have voter ID. And the Democrats
[00:14:30] don't want it. And the reason they don't
[00:14:32] want because they want to cheat because
[00:14:34] there's no reason in the world. And I
[00:14:36] love that debate, Lindsay. I love
[00:14:39] saying, "Well, why don't you want voter
[00:14:41] ID?" And you watch them say, "I don't
[00:14:44] know. I just
[00:14:45] >> make them vote."
[00:14:46] >> No, I know. It's It's a terrible thing.
[00:14:48] So, anyway, uh, anybody else?
[00:14:50] >> Well, Mr. President, you said you wanted
[00:14:51] to make America safer and more
[00:14:53] prosperous, and we and we've done it.
[00:14:56] more prosperity means more money in
[00:14:57] people's pockets. And they notice that
[00:14:59] every time they go to fill up with gas
[00:15:00] and they're going to know it when they
[00:15:02] get their tax returns that this year are
[00:15:04] going to be at least $1,000, if not
[00:15:05] more, greater than it's been in the
[00:15:07] past. And that's a result of the work
[00:15:09] that you've done with this whole group.
[00:15:11] And in terms of America being safer, a
[00:15:13] number of us were at the border two
[00:15:15] weeks ago. The border is secure. No one
[00:15:17] is coming across, not the 10,000 we saw
[00:15:20] every day with Joe Biden. And the
[00:15:21] American people still in overwhelming
[00:15:23] numbers, Republicans, Democrats, and
[00:15:25] independents all say illegal immigrant
[00:15:28] criminals need to be deported. And Mr.
[00:15:30] President, you're doing that
[00:15:33] >> and no tax on tips.
[00:15:35] >> No tax on social security.
[00:15:38] >> No tax more money in people's pockets.
[00:15:40] >> Think of it. And that was all the great
[00:15:42] big beautiful bill as I call it the
[00:15:43] great big beautiful bill. To me, that's
[00:15:45] what it is. And people are starting and
[00:15:47] people are starting to realize it now.
[00:15:48] They're starting to see a tax deduction
[00:15:51] on your if you borrow buy a car if it's
[00:15:54] made in America only if it's made in
[00:15:56] America. The rest we don't care about so
[00:15:57] much. But
[00:15:58] >> you buy a car, you get an interest
[00:16:00] deduction. You borrow money, you get an
[00:16:02] interest tax deduction. And that is you
[00:16:05] take interest, you deduct it against
[00:16:07] your uh your tax. So to me, that's
[00:16:10] unbelievable for the people,
[00:16:12] unbelievable for our car companies,
[00:16:13] which is jobs. Anybody else over here?
[00:16:15] >> Mr. President, the biggest part of this
[00:16:17] bill is our national security
[00:16:19] >> and thank you. The men and women who
[00:16:20] served this country are grateful to you.
[00:16:22] >> Absolutely.
[00:16:22] >> We give them a pay raise. We're building
[00:16:24] more ships, as you said, planes,
[00:16:26] missiles. Uh we need to defend this
[00:16:29] country and you're doing a great job and
[00:16:30] leading us in the right direction.
[00:16:31] >> Thank you very much, Katie. Go ahead.
[00:16:33] You were going to say something.
[00:16:34] >> Yeah. No, Mr. President. Um this is just
[00:16:36] unprecedented leadership. The fact that
[00:16:38] you got everyone to come together and
[00:16:39] actually get these bills across the
[00:16:41] finish line. You heard it from the
[00:16:42] speaker, but that hasn't happened in a
[00:16:44] long time. So 96% of the government
[00:16:46] being funded. Um your priorities put in
[00:16:49] place, Mr. President, so that we can
[00:16:51] make the country safer. We can make it
[00:16:52] more prosperous. And not only can we
[00:16:55] make America great again, but we can
[00:16:56] tell people now America is back.
[00:16:58] >> Yeah, it's a great it's a great We'll
[00:17:00] never forget MAGA and we're all with
[00:17:02] MAGA, but I thought this was very
[00:17:04] appropriate. Right.
[00:17:05] >> Love it. Love it. Says everything.
[00:17:07] >> Cindy Hyde, come on. Say something.
[00:17:09] Well, there's a little hospital in here,
[00:17:11] a rural hospital in Meville,
[00:17:13] Mississippi,
[00:17:14] >> right?
[00:17:14] >> Called Franklin County Hospital. It
[00:17:16] would have closed the end of this month
[00:17:18] without this bill. Thank you. Thank you
[00:17:21] from everybody in Mississippi,
[00:17:22] especially Franklin County.
[00:17:24] >> And we've covered the rural very well.
[00:17:26] Nobody ever thought it was possible
[00:17:28] because we had a lot of opposition from
[00:17:30] the Democrats, as you know. But, uh,
[00:17:32] nobody thought it was possible. That's
[00:17:34] great.
[00:17:35] >> How about it? Anybody back there, Tom?
[00:17:37] best uh best budget for Native Americans
[00:17:39] ever, Mr. President.
[00:17:42] >> Appreciate that help.
[00:17:43] >> So, we'll sign it then if you would have
[00:17:45] some questions if anybody up here.
[00:17:47] >> Let me just piggyback you. This rural
[00:17:49] America is is taken care of in this in
[00:17:51] this bill. And I mean, as uh as Cindy
[00:17:54] says, so thank you for all America, but
[00:17:56] especially rural America.
[00:17:57] >> Thank you. Thank you everybody.
[00:18:09] So, I probably won't hold this up. And I
[00:18:12] think holding up one little page doesn't
[00:18:14] do it justice [laughter]
[00:18:16] in there. It's a lot of stuff. But
[00:18:18] inside,
[00:18:20] [applause]
[00:18:27] [cheering] thank you. Um, on Iran, are
[00:18:29] the negotiations still happening this
[00:18:31] week? Where will they be? And what do
[00:18:33] you need to hear from Iran?
[00:18:34] >> They're all over, but they are
[00:18:35] negotiating. They'd like to do something
[00:18:37] and we'll see if something is going to
[00:18:39] be done. They had a chance to do
[00:18:42] something a while ago and it didn't work
[00:18:44] out and we did midnight hammer. I don't
[00:18:48] think they want that happening again,
[00:18:49] but they would like to uh negotiate. We
[00:18:51] are negotiating with them right now.
[00:18:53] Yes.
[00:18:54] >> Mr. President, Mr. President,
[00:18:55] >> where will the meeting be? It seems
[00:18:56] >> I can't tell you that.
[00:18:58] >> Mr. Mr. President,
[00:18:59] >> there really there's more than one
[00:19:00] meeting. Yeah,
[00:19:02] >> how was your meeting with Gustavo Petro
[00:19:04] earlier today and did you come to any
[00:19:05] agreement on counter narcotic efforts?
[00:19:07] >> Yeah, we did. We worked on it and we got
[00:19:10] along very well. He and I weren't
[00:19:11] exactly the best of friends, but I
[00:19:13] wasn't insulted because I never met him.
[00:19:14] I didn't know him at all and we got
[00:19:17] along very well and we are we're working
[00:19:19] on that. We're working on some other
[00:19:21] things too, including sanctions and uh
[00:19:25] but we had a very good meeting. So, you
[00:19:27] >> I thought he was terrific. You know, he
[00:19:28] was very good. He got along great.
[00:19:30] Can you give us any update on how the
[00:19:32] talks are going for potential changes to
[00:19:34] the Department of Homeland Security?
[00:19:36] Have you agreed to any specific?
[00:19:39] >> Well, we have a secure border. In fact,
[00:19:42] we have nine months now where nobody has
[00:19:45] come into our country illegally. Now, I
[00:19:47] don't know if I can believe that because
[00:19:49] you know, you go from 25 million people
[00:19:51] to nobody. But the Democrats do that.
[00:19:53] You know, they're leaning left. the
[00:19:55] people that do that report and for nine
[00:19:57] months they have said nobody has come
[00:20:00] into our it is a strong great border. We
[00:20:03] do have people coming into our country
[00:20:04] but they're all coming in legally. Uh
[00:20:08] you take a look at that and look at what
[00:20:10] was going on a year and a half ago on
[00:20:12] our border where criminals were coming
[00:20:14] in, drug dealers were coming in, people
[00:20:17] from mental institutions were coming in.
[00:20:20] the worst, you know, they say the worst,
[00:20:21] I don't even know if I like the term,
[00:20:23] but the worst of the worst was coming
[00:20:25] into our country and now we have
[00:20:27] virtually no, our country is it's
[00:20:31] beautiful to see. Even if you go down,
[00:20:33] you know, some of you, I think, were
[00:20:34] down there a couple of weeks ago
[00:20:36] >> and you couldn't believe it, right?
[00:20:37] [clears throat] Because you were there
[00:20:39] >> two years ago,
[00:20:40] >> 10,000 a day
[00:20:41] >> and 10,000 a day and now you didn't even
[00:20:43] see anybody.
[00:20:44] >> Nobody comes up with saving lives
[00:20:46] because nobody comes up. They have to
[00:20:47] come through the jungles and they're
[00:20:49] dying of all sorts of problems including
[00:20:52] murder and uh we have nobody coming in
[00:20:55] and we're getting people out that we
[00:20:57] we're getting we have 11,888
[00:21:00] murderers who came into our country.
[00:21:03] We're getting them out. We're getting
[00:21:04] them out fast. And the only place where
[00:21:06] there's a little bit of a problem and I
[00:21:09] will tell you this, Minnesota, their
[00:21:11] crime because of us, because we've taken
[00:21:13] out thousands of criminals, their crime
[00:21:16] is down. not because of anybody else,
[00:21:17] it's because of us. Their crime is down.
[00:21:20] Uh but all over the country, wherever
[00:21:23] we're involved, we're getting criminals
[00:21:25] out of our country. And the crime right
[00:21:27] now is the lowest it's been since 1900.
[00:21:30] That's
[00:21:32] 125 years. And that's despite the fact
[00:21:35] with an open border stupid policy,
[00:21:39] 25 million people in my opinion came
[00:21:41] into our country. And many of those
[00:21:43] people should not have been allowed to
[00:21:45] come into our country. from Ukraine. Mr.
[00:21:47] President, um yesterday you were talking
[00:21:49] about how Vladimir Putin had agreed to a
[00:21:51] pause during the cold weather overnight.
[00:21:54] Those attacks have started up again.
[00:21:55] >> I know it was Sunday. It was Sunday to
[00:21:58] Sunday and it opened up and he hit him
[00:22:01] hard last night. No, he he agreed. He
[00:22:03] kept his word on that. It was it's a
[00:22:06] lot. You know, one week is we'll take
[00:22:08] anything because it's really really cold
[00:22:12] over there. But it was on Sunday and he
[00:22:14] went from Sunday to Sunday. Are
[00:22:16] >> you disappointed he didn't go further or
[00:22:17] go?
[00:22:18] >> Yeah, I would like to do I want him to
[00:22:19] end the war.
[00:22:21] >> I spoke to him. I want him to end the
[00:22:23] war.
[00:22:23] >> Mr. President, Mr. President, what
[00:22:25] exactly did you mean when you said that
[00:22:27] you should nationalize elections and
[00:22:29] which 15 states are you talking?
[00:22:30] >> I want to see elections be honest. And
[00:22:32] if a state can't run an election, I
[00:22:34] think the people behind me should do
[00:22:36] something about it because, you know, if
[00:22:38] you think about it, a state is an agent
[00:22:40] for the federal government in elections.
[00:22:41] I don't know why the federal government
[00:22:43] doesn't do them anyway, but when you see
[00:22:45] some of these states about how horribly
[00:22:48] they run their elections, what a
[00:22:50] disgrace it is. I think the federal
[00:22:52] government when you see crooked
[00:22:54] elections, and we had plenty of them,
[00:22:55] and by the way, we had them last time,
[00:22:58] but go to 2020, look at the facts that
[00:23:00] are coming out, rigged, crooked
[00:23:02] elections. If we have a areas, take a
[00:23:04] look at Detroit, take a look at
[00:23:06] Pennsylvania, take a look at
[00:23:08] Philadelphia, you go take a look at
[00:23:10] Atlanta, look at some of the places that
[00:23:12] t horrible corruption on elections and
[00:23:15] the federal government should not allow
[00:23:17] that. The federal government should get
[00:23:19] involved. Uh these are agents of the
[00:23:22] federal government to count the votes.
[00:23:24] If they can't count the votes legally
[00:23:26] and honestly, then somebody else should
[00:23:29] take them.
[00:23:29] >> The Constitution says it should be
[00:23:30] states that administer elections, Mr.
[00:23:32] President.
[00:23:33] >> You know what? They can administer the
[00:23:35] election, but they have to do it
[00:23:36] honestly.
[00:23:38] >> Are you Are you open to negotiating on
[00:23:40] warrants when it comes to ICE? This is
[00:23:42] an ask from Senator Schumer,
[00:23:45] >> meaning
[00:23:45] >> requiring search warrants for ICE and
[00:23:48] immigration.
[00:23:49] >> I haven't even thought of it.
[00:23:51] >> I'm not I'm not thinking about search
[00:23:52] warrants. Yeah, Lindsey Graham is going
[00:23:54] to answer that.
[00:23:55] >> Uh, no. Makes no sense.
[00:23:57] >> If we have to get a search warrant to
[00:24:00] get 15 million people out, Schumer is
[00:24:03] telling me he doesn't want them out.
[00:24:05] It's the most ridiculous idea. They do
[00:24:07] have some good ideas, I think. But I've
[00:24:10] got a better idea. It's your idea. In
[00:24:12] sanctuary cities on immigration, I know
[00:24:15] what I'm talking about. I've got the
[00:24:17] scars to prove it. They're playing,
[00:24:19] y'all are playing like Biden didn't
[00:24:20] exist. Y'all won't tell the American
[00:24:23] people about Lake and Riley. It's a
[00:24:25] one-sided debate. For four years, our
[00:24:28] border was obliterated. They let them
[00:24:30] come in by the tens of millions, and
[00:24:32] they want to go back that way. We're not
[00:24:34] going. So, Mr. President, stick to your
[00:24:37] guns. If you got reforms that make ICE
[00:24:40] better,
[00:24:42] more professional, talk to me. But you
[00:24:45] should embrace what I'm suggesting. As
[00:24:48] long as 12 states have sanctuary policy,
[00:24:51] they'll keep coming. Unfortunately, you
[00:24:53] won't be president forever. These
[00:24:55] magnets of illegal immigration have to
[00:24:58] go. There is no upside to sanctuary city
[00:25:01] unless you're a complete radical nut
[00:25:03] job. The cops hate it. Fraud around
[00:25:05] sanctuary cities and you're going to get
[00:25:07] more illegal immigration. We're going to
[00:25:08] have a debate. I've been trying to solve
[00:25:12] this problem, but what the Democrats are
[00:25:14] doing is they're not getting to the
[00:25:16] underlying problem. It's not Steven
[00:25:18] Miller. It's not Chris Young. It's not
[00:25:20] me. It's not you. It's policies that
[00:25:22] have been on the books that don't work.
[00:25:25] So, if you want to debate on how to
[00:25:27] solve this problem, show up next week.
[00:25:30] I'm going to take President Trump's idea
[00:25:32] that it's time to end the insane policy
[00:25:35] of sanctuary city. We're going to take
[00:25:37] it to the floor and we're going to vote
[00:25:39] and people in November are going to get
[00:25:41] to see who they trust to keep the border
[00:25:44] secure. Schuber or Trump? I'm with
[00:25:46] Trump,
[00:25:47] >> Mr. President. Mr. President,
[00:25:49] >> and by the way, I I hope you're going to
[00:25:50] press that very hard. And the other
[00:25:52] thing, we are not We are not Well, we
[00:25:55] are with you. I think everybody's with
[00:25:57] you. It's [clears throat] a sanctuary
[00:25:58] for criminals. That's who it is.
[00:26:00] >> They could make our our lives so much
[00:26:02] easier. All they have to do is hand over
[00:26:04] their criminals. Hand over people that
[00:26:06] came into our country illegally, that
[00:26:08] are murderers, that came out of jails,
[00:26:10] that came out of mental institutions,
[00:26:12] that are drug dealers. I don't I can't
[00:26:16] believe in Minnesota that they want to
[00:26:17] have murderers walking all over the
[00:26:19] streets. I just don't believe it. Maybe
[00:26:21] somebody says it's good polit I don't
[00:26:23] think it's good politics. I think it's
[00:26:24] really bad. The other thing we can't
[00:26:27] lose sight of is you probably have in
[00:26:30] Minnesota and it's worse in some places
[00:26:33] like California
[00:26:36] 19 billion dollars in fraud. and we're
[00:26:39] going to find out or you know we have
[00:26:41] we're very deep into that investigation
[00:26:44] but we're not going to forget that a lot
[00:26:46] of people think that a lot of this
[00:26:47] nonsense that's going on is to try and
[00:26:50] uh you know hide what's going on with
[00:26:52] respect to the fraud they have 19 at
[00:26:55] least $19 billion you know you're
[00:26:57] hearing nine now I'm hearing it's 19 and
[00:27:00] it's probably much more so it's in it's
[00:27:04] you know they talk about incompetence I
[00:27:06] think it's not incompetence I think it's
[00:27:07] just pure fraud These are dishonest
[00:27:10] people. They're bad people. I think they
[00:27:13] hate our country. And we're going to get
[00:27:15] to the bottom of it. But don't let this
[00:27:18] hide the fact that you have tremendous
[00:27:20] fraud. And you know, if we find the
[00:27:22] fraud in this country, you'll have a
[00:27:23] balanced budget without even cutting
[00:27:26] anything.
[00:27:27] >> You'll literally have a balanced budget.
[00:27:28] Yeah. Please,
[00:27:30] >> are you planning to work with President
[00:27:32] Pro to fight uh guerrilla groups and
[00:27:35] terrorist organizations in Venezuela?
[00:27:37] Well, they want me to do that and we
[00:27:39] will. We're getting along very well in
[00:27:41] Venezuela with the leadership uh very
[00:27:44] very well. You know, we took in 50
[00:27:47] million barrels of oil. It's right now
[00:27:49] heading to Houston and we're getting
[00:27:52] along very well with them, but we're
[00:27:53] going to work with them. Yes,
[00:27:54] >> Mr. President, you have in your office
[00:27:57] here Peter Mandelson, the British
[00:27:58] ambassador. You were shaking hands with
[00:28:00] him over a trade deal. He's uh today
[00:28:03] been forced to resign from the House of
[00:28:05] Lords, the upper house of the British
[00:28:06] Parliament over his links to Jeffrey
[00:28:08] Epstein. Just wondered if you had any
[00:28:10] any reaction to that since obviously he
[00:28:12] was here.
[00:28:12] >> I know about it, but uh I really don't
[00:28:15] know too much about I know who he is.
[00:28:17] It's too bad, you know, it's too bad.
[00:28:19] You know, speaking of Epstein, I will
[00:28:21] say this. uh a reporter named Wolf and
[00:28:25] Epstein conspired, this just came out
[00:28:28] yesterday, in the millions of pages of
[00:28:30] documents, how crazy this is, conspired
[00:28:33] against me in order to fight like hell
[00:28:36] to make sure I lose the election. That's
[00:28:38] the only thing that was mentioned about
[00:28:40] me. Uh now about Democrats, some really
[00:28:44] bad stuff. But about me, that Wolf,
[00:28:48] whoever Wolf is, he wrote a book, a
[00:28:50] couple of books, uh, and Epstein
[00:28:53] conspired against me. Did you know that,
[00:28:55] Mr. Senator? Did you know that they
[00:28:57] conspired against me? So, I lose the
[00:28:59] election
[00:29:00] >> or worse.
[00:29:01] >> So, that takes care of Epstein as far as
[00:29:03] Trump is concerned. But you got a lot of
[00:29:05] Democrats out there that are very much
[00:29:08] involved with Epstein. But I I'll be
[00:29:10] honest with you, you got to get back to
[00:29:12] running the country, too. millions and
[00:29:14] million every week. You know, when PC
[00:29:16] was alive, nobody cared about him. When
[00:29:18] he's dead, they care about him. But it's
[00:29:21] really a Democrat problem. It's not a
[00:29:23] Republican. It's a Democrat problem. The
[00:29:25] only problem Republicans have is that we
[00:29:27] have to get back to number one running
[00:29:29] [clears throat] our country. And then
[00:29:31] number two, very importantly, letting
[00:29:32] the public know what a great job we're
[00:29:34] doing. We have the greatest economy in
[00:29:38] the history of the world. We have $18
[00:29:40] trillion dollars being spent. The record
[00:29:43] was three trillion many years ago. Not
[00:29:46] by us, by another country. I won't say
[00:29:48] the country. Yeah. But
[00:29:49] >> did you raise a new president?
[00:29:51] >> Have you been briefed on Savannah
[00:29:52] Guthri's mom missing in Arizona?
[00:29:55] >> I think it's terrible.
[00:29:57] >> Would you commit to more federal agents
[00:29:59] like helping out on the
[00:29:59] >> search? I'm going to call her later on.
[00:30:02] I think it's a terrible thing. I always
[00:30:03] get along very good with Savannah. Very
[00:30:06] unusual situation, but we're going to
[00:30:08] find out.
[00:30:09] >> Yeah. What do you want?
[00:30:10] >> On the Epson pals, you talked about
[00:30:11] Democrats who were in there. Elon Musk
[00:30:12] was also in there and so was your
[00:30:14] commerce secretary Howard Lutnik and
[00:30:15] correspondents that he had with him. Did
[00:30:17] you read those new files that were
[00:30:19] published by the Department of Justice?
[00:30:20] >> I didn't I have a lot of things I'm
[00:30:22] doing and a lot of things and I don't
[00:30:24] know uh you mentioned two names. I'm
[00:30:27] sure they're fine. I'm sure they're
[00:30:28] fine. Otherwise, it would have been
[00:30:30] major headlines.
[00:30:31] >> A lot of women who were are survivors of
[00:30:33] Epstein are unhappy with those
[00:30:34] redactions that came out. Some of them
[00:30:36] entire witness interviews are totally
[00:30:38] blacked out. Do you think that they
[00:30:39] should be more transparent?
[00:30:40] >> I think that they thought they released
[00:30:41] too much. You know, I heard that and you
[00:30:44] tell me something else, you know. Uh I
[00:30:47] think it's really time for the country
[00:30:48] to get on to something else really, you
[00:30:50] know, now that nothing came out about me
[00:30:53] other than it was a conspiracy against
[00:30:56] me literally by Epstein and other
[00:30:58] people. But I think it's time now for
[00:31:01] the country to maybe get on to something
[00:31:03] else.
[00:31:04] >> What would you say to people who feel
[00:31:04] like they have justice, Mr. President?
[00:31:06] >> Something that people care about. Yeah.
[00:31:08] What? What did you say? Go ahead.
[00:31:09] >> What would you What would you say to the
[00:31:10] survivors who feel like they haven't
[00:31:12] gotten
[00:31:12] >> You are the worst reporter. No wonder to
[00:31:14] see CNN has no ratings because of people
[00:31:16] like you. You know, she's a young woman.
[00:31:19] I don't think I've ever seen you smile.
[00:31:20] I've known you for 10 years. I don't
[00:31:23] think I've ever seen a smile in this
[00:31:25] survival.
[00:31:25] >> You know why? You know why you're not
[00:31:27] smiling? Because you know you're not
[00:31:28] telling the truth and you're you're a
[00:31:30] very dishonest organization and they
[00:31:33] should be ashamed of you. These are
[00:31:35] survivors of a sexual abuse of healthare
[00:31:38] and the bill that was just passed does
[00:31:40] not include your healthcare savings
[00:31:42] account. So this is a question for you
[00:31:43] and maybe for Mr. Speaker as well.
[00:31:45] >> I'm so proud of the healthcare savings
[00:31:47] accounts because it's going to happen
[00:31:49] and hopefully instead of insurance and I
[00:31:52] hope this happens and I hope you guys
[00:31:53] can do it. Let the insurance companies
[00:31:57] uh not do quite as well. You know
[00:31:59] they're going up 15 16 17 100%. Think of
[00:32:02] it. The money should be paid directly to
[00:32:06] the people. You know, trillions of
[00:32:08] dollars goes out. The money should go to
[00:32:10] the people. They should buy their own
[00:32:11] healthcare. It can be in a health care,
[00:32:14] you know, account, savings account, any
[00:32:16] account you want to make. The money
[00:32:18] should go to the people. The people
[00:32:20] should buy their own health care and
[00:32:22] they're going to save a lot of money and
[00:32:23] they're going to have much better
[00:32:24] healthcare. And it's very simple. The
[00:32:26] problem is the Democrats are owned by
[00:32:29] those insurance companies. They're owned
[00:32:31] lock, stock, and barrel.
[00:32:33] And the Democrats will never vote on it
[00:32:36] because I the Republicans should get
[00:32:39] that through. And you know how you get
[00:32:41] it through? The filibuster. Get rid of
[00:32:43] the filibuster and start voting. Yes,
[00:32:45] >> Mr. President. Um, today we heard that
[00:32:48] the Clinton set deposition dates to
[00:32:50] testify before the House Oversight
[00:32:51] Committee. Any reaction to that in
[00:32:53] related to the Epste?
[00:32:54] >> I think it's a shame to be honest.
[00:32:57] >> I always liked him. Her? Yeah. One of
[00:33:00] She's a very capable woman. She was
[00:33:02] better in debating than some of the
[00:33:04] other people. I will tell you that she
[00:33:05] was smarter, smart woman. I hate to see
[00:33:08] it in many ways. I hate to see it. But,
[00:33:11] you know, then I look at me, they went
[00:33:12] after me like uh, you know, they wanted
[00:33:15] me to go to jail for the rest of my
[00:33:17] life. Then it turned out I was innocent,
[00:33:19] very innocent. You know, I had a friend
[00:33:21] that said I had a very smart friend.
[00:33:23] He's a very wealthy man, knows the life,
[00:33:26] street wise guy. He said, 'You have to
[00:33:29] be the most honest person anywhere in
[00:33:31] the world because there's never been
[00:33:33] anybody who's been examined up and down.
[00:33:35] You know, I have hundreds of thousands
[00:33:37] of pages of documents, millions of
[00:33:39] pages, millions of pages. With all of
[00:33:42] that, they found absolutely nothing
[00:33:44] wrong. Remember his tax returns? All his
[00:33:47] tax returns. They fought for years and
[00:33:49] years.
[00:33:50] And then the Supreme Court, I was
[00:33:52] surprised. They ruled I had to give my
[00:33:54] tax returns. I'm the only one that had
[00:33:55] to ever do that. But I had to give my
[00:33:58] tax returns. I gave my tax returns. They
[00:34:00] hired the best accounting firms in the
[00:34:03] world.
[00:34:04] They found nothing. And this friend of
[00:34:07] mine said, "You have to be the most
[00:34:08] honest person in the world." He actually
[00:34:11] said, "You know,
[00:34:14] I'm referring to him. I'm a pretty
[00:34:16] honest guy, but I could have never
[00:34:18] withtood that. They've gone through
[00:34:20] millions and millions of pages, and here
[00:34:22] I sit, winning a an election in a
[00:34:24] landslide,
[00:34:25] winning the popular vote, winning all
[00:34:27] seven swing states, winning 86% of the
[00:34:31] counties in the United States. That's
[00:34:33] why those maps that you see are all red.
[00:34:36] And so they tried to put me in jail. And
[00:34:39] I shouldn't feel this way, but I feel
[00:34:41] badly that they have to go through that.
[00:34:46] But then I say, but they did far worse
[00:34:49] than me. They wanted to put me in jail.
[00:34:50] Think of it. I was a very good
[00:34:52] president. We had a great first term.
[00:34:53] Rebuilt the military. Biggest tax cuts
[00:34:55] ever. Biggest regulation cuts ever. But,
[00:34:59] you know, I will say this. Uh, I think I
[00:35:02] can say, what do you think, Lindsay? My
[00:35:03] second term is blowing my first term
[00:35:06] away. And my first term was really good.
[00:35:09] >> Reagan plus.
[00:35:10] >> Reagan plus. Yeah. Well, whatever. Thank
[00:35:13] you very much.
[00:35:15] Thank you. Thank you everybody. Thank
[00:35:17] you. Thank you press.
[00:35:27] Keep moving. Thank you.
[00:35:28] >> Thank youress
[00:35:33] yours right this way.
