[00:00:00] Today is a tremendous honor to welcome [00:00:02] you all to the United States Institute [00:00:05] of Peace for the inaugural meeting of [00:00:07] the board of peace. So I want to thank [00:00:09] the many leaders and dignitaries who [00:00:11] have traveled great distances and [00:00:13] lengths for the important gathering that [00:00:15] we're at right now. This meeting today [00:00:17] is proof with determined leadership [00:00:19] nothing is impossible. We're providing a [00:00:21] model for how responsible sovereign [00:00:23] nations can cooperate to take [00:00:25] responsibility for confronting problems [00:00:27] in their own regions. Together, we can [00:00:29] achieve the dream of bringing lasting [00:00:31] harmony to a region tortured by [00:00:33] centuries of war. And hopefully, we can [00:00:35] lift up the eyes of the world to [00:00:37] envision how other intractable conflicts [00:00:39] can be settled. So, I want to thank [00:00:41] everybody for being here. You're my [00:00:42] friends. You're great leaders.
