[00:00:00] Tim Walls, who's been absolutely
[00:00:02] abhorrent throughout this entire
[00:00:03] debacle, a terrible governor, a disgrace
[00:00:06] to the country. This person was
[00:00:07] nominated for vice president of the
[00:00:08] United States by the Democratic Party.
[00:00:11] Walls put out a series of tweets. Quote,
[00:00:13] I just spoke with the White House after
[00:00:14] another horrific shooting by federal
[00:00:16] agents this morning. Minnesota has had
[00:00:17] it. This is sickening. The president
[00:00:19] must end this operation. Pull the
[00:00:21] thousands of violent, untrained officers
[00:00:23] out of Minnesota now. So, I guess the
[00:00:25] basic idea here is that you won't help
[00:00:27] by actively facilitating the deportation
[00:00:30] of criminal illegal immigrants and thus
[00:00:33] you're going to facilitate the
[00:00:34] obstruction of law enforcement and then
[00:00:36] when things go bad, you're going to tell
[00:00:37] federal law enforcement to pull out. So,
[00:00:39] it's state and local nullification is
[00:00:41] what we are talking about right now. And
[00:00:43] then he says they think they can provoke
[00:00:45] us into abandoning our values. They are
[00:00:47] wrong. We will keep the peace. We will
[00:00:48] secure justice for our neighbors and we
[00:00:50] will see this occupation and how have
[00:00:51] you been doing keeping the peace? How's
[00:00:53] that going for you, Tim Walls? It seems
[00:00:55] like not so peaceful over there. It
[00:00:57] seems like every time you say the
[00:00:59] protesters are doing something wonderful
[00:01:00] in the aftermath of somebody being shot
[00:01:02] or in the aftermath of violent
[00:01:05] demonstrations, it gets worse. I don't
[00:01:08] think Tim Walls is interested in keeping
[00:01:09] things peaceful in Minnesota. I don't I
[00:01:12] see very little evidence that he is. He
[00:01:14] can say it over and over, but I see very
[00:01:15] little evidence that this is his goal.
[00:01:18] He says Minnesota believes in law and
[00:01:19] order. We believe in peace and we
[00:01:21] believe that Trump needs to pull his
[00:01:22] 3,000 untrained agents out of Minnesota
[00:01:24] before they kill another American in the
[00:01:25] street. Not sure what he means by
[00:01:27] untrained.
[00:01:28] These agents go through training. But
[00:01:31] again, the goal is to proclaim this a
[00:01:32] Gestapo-like occupation.
[00:01:35] And again, Walls is building an entire
[00:01:37] permission structure for violence
[00:01:38] against officers. That's what he's doing
[00:01:40] here. He was over the weekend saying we
[00:01:42] should not call these people law
[00:01:43] enforcement.
[00:01:45] >> Do I have any confidence Donald Trump
[00:01:46] will do the right thing? No, I don't
[00:01:48] have a lot of confidence Donald Trump
[00:01:49] will do the right thing. I do have a lot
[00:01:51] of confidence that the majority of the
[00:01:53] American people will do the right thing.
[00:01:55] And I think there cannot be very many
[00:01:57] people across this country looking right
[00:01:59] now after all the reporting that's been
[00:02:01] done after everything that's been said
[00:02:03] under the pretense that they are here
[00:02:05] about immigration reform and quit
[00:02:07] referring to these people as law
[00:02:08] enforcement. They are not law
[00:02:09] enforcement. We have law enforcement who
[00:02:12] do an incredible job. and to listen to
[00:02:14] Greg Bevino denigrate the work of our
[00:02:17] people who are out there cleaning up
[00:02:18] their mess. No, I don't have a lot of
[00:02:20] confidence that he himself will do it.
[00:02:22] But here's what I do have confidence in.
[00:02:25] There's a whole lot of Republicans, for
[00:02:26] whatever reason, cannot find their
[00:02:28] spine, but they might find the ability
[00:02:30] to know that they're not going to win
[00:02:32] another election as long as they live
[00:02:34] unless they stand up for what's right
[00:02:35] and stand up for the rule of law and
[00:02:37] stand up for human decency. And that's
[00:02:39] the moment.
[00:02:39] >> Okay, they're they're literally not
[00:02:40] standing up for the rule of law. Tim
[00:02:42] Walls and Company. He is literally
[00:02:43] saying, "Get your agents out of here
[00:02:45] while they enforce federal law." And
[00:02:46] when he says things like, "They're not
[00:02:47] law enforcement." What do you think he
[00:02:49] is saying to protesters? What do you
[00:02:51] think he's saying when he says they're
[00:02:53] not law enforcement? He's saying, "Okay,
[00:02:55] well, if they're not, then what are
[00:02:56] they? Then I guess they're terrorists.
[00:02:58] Then I guess that they are lawb
[00:03:00] breakakers because they're wandering
[00:03:01] around committing crimes against other
[00:03:03] American citizens." What is he saying?
[00:03:05] He is granting a permission structure
[00:03:07] for all of this. We have more on this in
[00:03:09] a moment. First, this episode is
[00:03:10] sponsored by our friends over at Pure

[00:03:39] Start with cutting overpriced wireless

[00:04:05] best deal on the market and again you
[00:04:06] save an additional 50% off your very
[00:04:08] first month of coverage.
[00:04:10] Talk.com/shapiro.
[00:04:12] Then walls went on to say that motans
[00:04:14] are actually just all they're doing is
[00:04:15] creating a log of evidence for
[00:04:16] prosecution of ICE agents. What's the
[00:04:18] problem with them creating a log of
[00:04:19] evidence? Is that really what you think
[00:04:20] they're doing? Creating a log of
[00:04:22] evidence is that that that's really all
[00:04:23] they're doing. They're not obstructing
[00:04:24] law enforcement.
[00:04:25] >> Motans are witnessing and we're creating
[00:04:28] a log of evidence for the future
[00:04:31] prosecution of ICE agents and officials
[00:04:33] responsible for this.
[00:04:35] They're helping their neighbors. They're
[00:04:36] walking their kids to school. They're
[00:04:38] feeding families.
[00:04:39] >> Okay. Um I'm I'm confused. They're not
[00:04:42] doing Alex Patty was not walking kids to
[00:04:44] school or feeding families. He was in
[00:04:47] the streets. He was blocking traffic
[00:04:49] apparently. You can see in the tape he's
[00:04:51] out there. He's getting in the way of
[00:04:53] federal law enforcement. I mean, he was
[00:04:55] resisting arrest. Like those are things
[00:04:57] that are happening. This is why I say
[00:04:58] that very often these things become a
[00:05:00] roar shock test and the sides are seeing
[00:05:03] completely different stories and none of
[00:05:04] them seem to be related to the actual
[00:05:06] tape that we saw in which life is messy
[00:05:09] and life is complicated. But it appears
[00:05:10] that Alex Freddy was obstructing federal
[00:05:13] law enforcement in performance of an
[00:05:14] operation and then resisting arrest and
[00:05:16] had a gun on him and then it appears
[00:05:19] from the tape that he was disarmed and
[00:05:21] someone mistakenly thought he was still
[00:05:22] armed and they heard a shot go off or
[00:05:24] something like that and then they shot
[00:05:25] him. That appears to be the most
[00:05:27] objective way of describing the
[00:05:28] situation. But according to Tim Walls,
[00:05:30] it's just a pure unprecedented pre
[00:05:32] premeditated murder. Walls went on, by
[00:05:35] the way, to compare illegal immigrant
[00:05:37] children in Minnesota to Anne Frank. Uh,
[00:05:40] no, I'm sorry.
[00:05:42] That No, wrong.
[00:05:45] Anne Frank was not attempting to
[00:05:46] immigrate to the country from which she
[00:05:48] was deported. Annef Frank was a citizen
[00:05:50] of the country in which she lived. And
[00:05:52] then she was sent to Avitz where she
[00:05:55] died of typhus. That is not the same
[00:05:57] thing. And guess what? American law
[00:06:01] enforcement agents, ICE officers, border
[00:06:02] patrol agents are not Nazis. They are
[00:06:05] not the Gestapo.
[00:06:07] This is a purposefully driven chaos
[00:06:09] operation pushed by Democrats for
[00:06:11] political purposes.
[00:06:12] >> We have got children in Minnesota
[00:06:16] hiding in their houses, afraid to go
[00:06:18] outside.
[00:06:20] Many of us grew up reading that story of
[00:06:22] Anne Frank.
[00:06:24] >> Somebody's going to write that
[00:06:25] children's story about Minnesota.
[00:06:28] And there's one person who can end this
[00:06:31] now. Either he's stupid or he's venal or
[00:06:34] both. Probably both. And again, he's
[00:06:37] been setting the groundwork for this for
[00:06:39] weeks and months. On January 7th, Wall
[00:06:42] said, "It is your patriotic duty to
[00:06:44] resist." Here he was.
[00:06:46] >> I want motans to hear this from me. I
[00:06:50] the desire to get out and protest and
[00:06:51] and to speak up to this administration
[00:06:54] of how wrong this is. That that is a
[00:06:56] patriotic duty at this point in time.
[00:06:59] >> It is it is a patriotic duty. Last week
[00:07:01] he suggested it was time to quote
[00:07:02] unquote cause good trouble and that well
[00:07:05] then trouble is going to ensue. I mean
[00:07:07] that is a thing that is likely going to
[00:07:09] happen.
[00:07:10] >> These are the moments for people to
[00:07:12] stand up. These are the moments that are
[00:07:15] not the easy ones, but these are the
[00:07:16] moments where character comes out.
[00:07:19] >> I am receiving notes from around the
[00:07:21] world,
[00:07:24] [cheering]
[00:07:25] >> people identifying and there's a lot of
[00:07:27] people saying, "Okay, I was sleeping on
[00:07:29] Minnesota." And I think what you've done
[00:07:32] and what our neighbors are going through
[00:07:34] to see this and I often times told this
[00:07:36] story. I served on the China Commission
[00:07:38] in Congress, ironically enough, as
[00:07:40] co-chair with Marco Rubio. we used to
[00:07:43] bring in Chinese political prisoners.
[00:07:45] And we would ask them, when we speak up
[00:07:48] and call out your government, is it bad?
[00:07:50] And they said, well, in the short run,
[00:07:53] it's bad because they torture us, but if
[00:07:55] you don't speak up, they will torture us
[00:07:57] and forget about us. And the idea is
[00:08:00] right now is we have to be speaking up.
[00:08:03] We have to be calling.
[00:08:06] >> They are, you are doing everything and
[00:08:08] our neighbors are doing everything. And
[00:08:10] I can't stress enough on this. We're
[00:08:12] winning it because we're doing it with
[00:08:13] Minnesota grit. Minnesota,
[00:08:16] >> Minnesota decency.
[00:08:18] >> Oftentimes talk about this and I know
[00:08:20] people are discussing this a lot. I
[00:08:21] spent a lot of time with John Lewis on
[00:08:23] nonviolent resistance.
[00:08:25] >> The resistance matters. We're not
[00:08:27] telling people to be silent, but we're
[00:08:29] not telling people to go out and cause
[00:08:31] problems. We're going to cause good
[00:08:33] trouble.
[00:08:34] >> Yeah.
[00:08:35] >> Okay. So, when he talks about nonviolent
[00:08:36] resistance, what what does it mean when
[00:08:38] when people violently resist arrest, for
[00:08:40] example? Is is that is that nonviolent
[00:08:42] resistance? Because that's what we've
[00:08:43] been seeing. Is it nonviolent resistance
[00:08:45] when you block traffic like Renee Good
[00:08:46] did and then hit an officer with your
[00:08:48] car? Is that is that is that nonviolent
[00:08:50] resistance? How how what does he mean by
