[00:14:25] womanhood not the garbage that culture

[00:14:32] convention center as we kick off our
[00:14:34] first night with some amazing speakers
[00:14:36] talking about really important cultural
[00:14:38] issues i've been to ywls for several
[00:14:41] years in a row if you guys don't know
[00:14:42] much about my story my first ever
[00:14:44] political event was ywls 2017 and it was
[00:14:48] tiny and there was no media and the
[00:14:50] attendance was like maybe a tenth of
[00:14:52] what it is right now and we talked so
[00:14:54] much about politics but what i love
[00:14:56] about this year's young women's
[00:14:57] leadership summit is that we're spending
[00:14:59] so much time to intentionally touch on
[00:15:01] cultural issues topics like dating and
[00:15:04] marriage and motherhood and even birth
[00:15:06] control and everything in between so our
[00:15:08] speakers are really excited to start
[00:15:10] sharing that information with students
[00:15:12] and all of our adult attendees tonight
[00:15:14] we've got some great breakout sessions
[00:15:16] some really fun media coming your way

[00:26:53] your reputations have taken hit after
[00:26:56] hit after hit
[00:26:58] it has been an all-on assault
[00:27:01] has anyone in this room been cancelled
[00:27:03] literally from a job or school club or
[00:27:06] from social media or even just have
[00:27:08] friends or family refuse to talk to you
[00:27:09] anymore for your beliefs
[00:27:13] i want the record to show almost every
[00:27:15] hand in this room has gone up
[00:27:17] and that's sad
[00:27:19] but you know who
[00:27:22] it's it's really just ironic i guess i
[00:27:23] should say because
[00:27:25] the people who are most likely to attack
[00:27:28] us for being conservative
[00:27:30] are the people who we actually know
[00:27:32] personally like our actual friends our
[00:27:34] family the people that we go to school
[00:27:36] with the people that you grew up with
[00:27:37] you know that was in your high school
[00:27:38] biology class those are the people who
[00:27:40] come out and say that you know we're
[00:27:42] terrible people we should be ashamed for
[00:27:44] how we believe
[00:27:46] they're the people also who go on and on
[00:27:49] and on about boss babe and power men and
[00:27:51] women empowering women it's very very
[00:27:54] ironic and of course then they actively
[00:27:56] deny
[00:27:57] how unique women are and go as far as to
[00:28:00] erase what it means to be one

[00:28:13] now how do we feel just to take the

[00:29:39] idea of trans women participating in and
[00:29:43] winning women's sports competitions

[00:30:52] how we should think about ourselves and
[00:30:54] try to silence and censor us when we try
[00:30:56] to exercise our constitutional rights

[00:31:03] we have been spoon-fed a narrative that
[00:31:05] were oppressed and second to men in this
[00:31:07] country
[00:31:08] they have belittled motherhood and
[00:31:11] marriage
[00:31:13] they have glorified unhealthy lifestyles
[00:31:15] with the fat positivity movement
[00:31:17] ridiculed religion
[00:31:20] they've called you and i every name in
[00:31:22] the book
[00:31:26] but also they'll say
[00:31:27] do what makes you happy queen

[00:31:35] it is really the ultimate form of
[00:31:37] gaslighting if you think about it
[00:31:40] but what if
[00:31:42] loving god my country and my family and
[00:31:46] that order is what makes me happy

[00:33:28] supreme court who gets celebrated for

[00:34:01] consequences for us as conservative

[00:34:06] we get de-platformed we lose friends we
[00:34:08] lose jobs and family members
[00:34:13] and we are fed up with the psychological
[00:34:15] manipulation the bullying the doxing the
[00:34:18] intimidation and the violence
[00:34:21] of not just us in the womb but those of
[00:34:23] us out here as well

[00:42:00] be someone who stands for truth

[00:42:26] to refl to reflect on what you can do
[00:42:29] run for school board local office say no
[00:42:31] to pronouns in your work bios

[00:43:05] baddest voices in the conservative
[00:43:07] movement

[00:43:15] they're going to give you a little pep
[00:43:17] talk here and there and who knows they
[00:43:18] might actually have some advice for you
[00:43:20] on how to find your dude servative

[00:45:25] so it's tough to do that alex did such a
[00:45:27] great job and i think it's the first
[00:45:29] conference that somebody other you know
[00:45:31] than myself open it's amazing um so
[00:45:34] that's tough to do let's give it up for
[00:45:35] our turning point you say event staff

[00:45:42] they they work so hard and this is now
[00:45:44] the beginning of our series of events

[00:45:50] know many of you are coming to we'll be
[00:45:52] talking about that we have amfest that i
[00:45:53] know many of you came to it's gonna be
[00:45:55] even bigger this year
[00:45:57] our first ever young women's leadership
[00:45:59] summit was done
[00:46:01] uh boy seven years ago and we had 55
[00:46:04] people i think show up
[00:46:07] 55 people
[00:46:08] and the country was a mess back then now
[00:46:10] mind you the country was in top shape
[00:46:12] but there was no debate of what a woman
[00:46:14] was you know when we said
[00:46:15] we were going to do a young women's
[00:46:16] leadership summit people knew exactly
[00:46:18] what i meant
[00:46:19] unfortunately the country's kind of gone
[00:46:21] in a negative direction but look the
[00:46:24] left there they're really dumb we know
[00:46:26] that they're evil and they're dumb by
[00:46:27] the way they're both things
[00:46:29] they they've made this the stupidest
[00:46:31] mistake you could ever make which is to
[00:46:33] go
[00:46:34] make a bunch of moms and women angry and
[00:46:36] hate them as they show up i mean how
[00:46:38] dumb are these people right
[00:46:41] and
[00:46:43] you are part of the front lines you are
[00:46:44] the front lines
[00:46:46] and look it's difficult to be a young
[00:46:47] conservative in america it's especially
[00:46:50] difficult to be a young conservative
[00:46:51] woman in america because there's an
[00:46:54] expectation on you to be liberal
[00:46:56] and if you're anything but liberal
[00:46:58] people look at you funny like what do
[00:46:59] you mean you don't want to take away all
[00:47:01] the guns and open up the borders and
[00:47:03] destroy the country and you have
[00:47:05] an informed response and they look at

[00:47:37] i'm just looking for new friends

[00:47:45] they contradict themselves all the time
[00:47:48] and you just want happy patriotic
[00:47:51] american loving faith-filled friends in
[00:47:53] your life right

[00:47:58] so you're going to receive a lot of

[00:48:01] going to receive a main amazing training
[00:48:03] you're going to be encouraged you're
[00:48:04] going to be challenged by the way
[00:48:06] you're going to be challenged to
[00:48:08] live a life in the pursuit of truth

[00:48:12] a better person
[00:48:14] you're going to be challenged to find
[00:48:15] the right partner in your life

[01:00:07] and they walked away forever changed
[01:00:10] and it was that town hall
[01:00:13] that basically created a second version
[01:00:15] of me and my oldest son who's now going
[01:00:17] into law and political science and he's
[01:00:19] going to be graduating next year
[01:00:26] he wanted to plug in and get involved
[01:00:29] just like all of you do he saw a need
[01:00:31] and he wants to fill it
[01:00:33] and that's what this is all about there
[01:00:35] is a need for solutions
[01:00:39] and a need for humble discussion and i
[01:00:41] gotta tell you
[01:00:42] you know i'm in my early 40s and it has
[01:00:44] taken me all of every 43 years to get to
[01:00:48] this point where i'm even willing to
[01:00:50] entertain the idea of being humble about
[01:00:52] it
[01:00:53] because my nature is to walk out and

[01:00:56] kick butt like roadhouse the movie
[01:00:58] roadhouse which my kids say is just
[01:01:00] about men in tight pants roundhouse
[01:01:02] kicking in bars but if you like patrick

[01:01:17] mass casualty incident in uvalde texas
[01:01:21] and then just yesterday we saw what
[01:01:22] happened in tulsa oklahoma
[01:01:26] i had a conversation with a very couple
[01:01:28] of very good friends of mine
[01:01:30] andy pollock
[01:01:31] ryan petty they lost their daughters in
[01:01:33] parkland
[01:01:34] the borgia's family their son they
[01:01:36] almost lost him
[01:01:38] and i share their their frustration
[01:01:41] andy's talked about it so often
[01:01:44] i hate to say it but we saw it coming or
[01:01:46] at least
[01:01:47] the signs were there
[01:01:50] we know what we need to do to improve
[01:01:52] school security
[01:01:54] we know what we need to do
[01:01:56] to assist people
[01:01:58] that are troubled with mental health
[01:02:00] issues
[01:02:02] and sometimes and this is separate from
[01:02:04] mental health
[01:02:05] we need to make sure that our country
[01:02:08] recognizes that evil exists
[01:02:10] it is real it is unpredictable it
[01:02:13] doesn't have a sex a race a creed evil
[01:02:17] is evil and that is why it is very hard
[01:02:21] to anticipate
[01:02:22] but we do all we can
[01:02:25] there's a difference between preparation
[01:02:29] and paranoia
[01:02:31] that's what we're going to talk
[01:02:32] about so
[01:02:38] there's a lot of legislation in dc right
[01:02:40] now
[01:02:41] there's a lot of discussion about law
[01:02:43] enforcement i think we all saw those
[01:02:45] harrowing videos
[01:02:46] of the parents standing outside
[01:02:48] rob elementary school
[01:02:51] it's heartbreaking
[01:02:53] it's absolutely gutting
[01:02:55] and then there was the confusion of
[01:02:57] remarks after and then a police chief
[01:02:59] that went m.i.a
[01:03:01] i'm going to make an important
[01:03:02] distinction too i back good enforcement
[01:03:05] of the law
[01:03:06] there is a difference
[01:03:08] i don't universally without question
[01:03:10] back any group
[01:03:11] i bet good enforcement of the law
[01:03:14] because i've sat across the stage
[01:03:16] actually i sat on stage next to a bad
[01:03:18] cop
[01:03:19] named scott israel
[01:03:21] who according to cape coral police went
[01:03:23] looking for the television cameras
[01:03:24] instead of getting his guys in to storm
[01:03:26] the school
[01:03:28] i've talked to bad cops like art acevedo
[01:03:31] who once threatened to use austin police
[01:03:33] department to spy on me because i
[01:03:34] disagreed with his second amendment
[01:03:36] stance
[01:03:38] i know there are bad cops out there i've
[01:03:40] seen him i've talked to
[01:03:42] him but there are a lot of good cops out
[01:03:45] there
[01:03:53] like the guy who was off duty god bless
[01:03:56] him he was sitting getting a haircut
[01:03:58] his barber had a shotgun
[01:04:01] that man took that shotgun after his
[01:04:02] wife texted him and said we got an
[01:04:04] active shooter situation
[01:04:06] a few minutes later she texted him i
[01:04:08] love you
[01:04:09] and he thought he was about to lose his
[01:04:10] wife
[01:04:12] that man ran to rob elementary with a
[01:04:14] shotgun work with a couple other off
[01:04:16] duty and they got those kids evacuated
[01:04:19] including his daughter and his wife
[01:04:21] that's a good cop
[01:04:32] there was another off-duty agent who
[01:04:34] heard the call go out
[01:04:36] he was wearing a ball cap had his
[01:04:37] flannel shirt on he grabbed his tack
[01:04:39] vest out of his car he went in and
[01:04:41] breached that classroom and took out
[01:04:43] that killer that's a good cop
[01:04:53] we should be partners with our good cops
[01:04:56] we should not be restrained and tased
[01:04:59] outside of a school
[01:05:01] that have been made gun turned into
[01:05:03] gun-free zones nationally since 1990 i
[01:05:05] tell you what
[01:05:07] this mama would not have been standing
[01:05:09] there
[01:05:10] i would have been like that one sweet
[01:05:11] mama that jumped that fence and ran
[01:05:12] inside i mean come hell or high water
[01:05:14] ain't nobody gonna stop her
[01:05:17] but we have to partner
[01:05:19] with these good police this brings me to
[01:05:21] a very important point and i'm going to
[01:05:22] lead up
[01:05:23] i'm setting this stage so you understand
[01:05:25] why we're in the position that we're in
[01:05:29] a number of years ago in a town called
[01:05:30] castle rock colorado
[01:05:33] there was a mother jessica gonzalez
[01:05:37] her and her husband their marriage was
[01:05:38] not successful they were estranged he
[01:05:40] was violent
[01:05:42] he picked up their three sweet children
[01:05:45] one day for time with him
[01:05:47] she had a protective order against him
[01:05:49] because he was abusive
[01:05:51] he was supposed to bring the kids back
[01:05:53] that evening he didn't
[01:05:55] she called castle rock pd
[01:05:57] i need help
[01:05:58] my husband hasn't brought my kids back i
[01:06:00] can't get a hold of him
[01:06:01] they said wait till 10 o'clock she
[01:06:04] waited till 10 o'clock called again
[01:06:06] i i need help with my kids i can't
[01:06:08] they're not here eventually at 3 a.m i
[01:06:11] believe it was around that time
[01:06:13] he pulled up to the police station and
[01:06:14] they had a shootout
[01:06:16] the estranged violent husband was killed
[01:06:19] but the kids have been killed much
[01:06:21] earlier and were in the car
[01:06:24] jessica gonzalez sued
[01:06:26] she said you have you are supposed to
[01:06:28] enforce this restraining order
[01:06:30] you have a duty to protect us
[01:06:33] and a supreme court decision authored by
[01:06:35] antonin scalia himself
[01:06:38] no they don't
[01:06:40] ladies and conservatives
[01:06:42] that is established law in the united
[01:06:44] states of america
[01:06:46] there is here's here's the reality
[01:06:50] cops are not obligated to protect your
[01:06:51] life
[01:06:52] you are
[01:07:02] sadly after
[01:07:04] the tragedy in parkland there was
[01:07:05] another lawsuit
[01:07:07] parents who brought suit because those
[01:07:09] cops from scott israel's under-trained
[01:07:11] department because someone didn't do
[01:07:13] their job
[01:07:14] stood outside didn't go in
[01:07:17] and that federal court issued they don't
[01:07:19] have
[01:07:20] an affirmative obligation to protect
[01:07:22] life
[01:07:24] so here's my question
[01:07:27] if our schools have been gun-free zones
[01:07:29] since 1990 thanks to the gun free school
[01:07:31] zones act of which biden was a
[01:07:33] co-sponsor
[01:07:35] part of the crime bill overall
[01:07:38] if they're not obligated to protect life
[01:07:41] they don't let you protect your kids
[01:07:44] then who is responsible for protecting
[01:07:46] our kids if they do not allow sros arm
[01:07:50] teachers and they certainly don't allow
[01:07:52] you within 1 000 feet of the building
[01:07:55] who then is to protect our kids
[01:07:57] because i don't need permission from
[01:08:00] uncle sam to protect my children
[01:08:13] i realize that we live in a society
[01:08:16] where we can take people into planned
[01:08:18] parenthood and all apparently in some
[01:08:21] states virginia up to birth that's what
[01:08:23] ralph uh northman said i mean i couldn't
[01:08:25] actually tell if he said it because i
[01:08:26] didn't recognize him without his hood

[01:20:26] women who were killed with firearms in
[01:20:28] the home by citing women who were killed
[01:20:31] outside of the home by random people who
[01:20:33] were in illegal possession
[01:20:35] he also included women who were killed
[01:20:37] not by firearms at all
[01:20:40] that is the singular study they have
[01:20:42] been citing for the past 20 years to
[01:20:44] disarm you because you're a woman
[01:20:48] that comment presupposes that women are
[01:20:50] too weak and stupid to carry

[01:20:55] a 40 year old woman and you can't carry
