[00:00:00] You have administration officials saying [00:00:02] that the victims of ISIS aggression are [00:00:04] domestic terrorists. You have JD Vance [00:00:06] coming out and saying that it's okay uh [00:00:08] you don't have to apologize for being [00:00:10] white. Just days ago, Donald Trump put [00:00:12] uh a picture of you, your face on an [00:00:15] ape's body. And so again, this is, you [00:00:17] know, this is kind of we've seen the [00:00:19] deevolution of of the discourse. How do [00:00:21] we come back from a place that that we [00:00:24] have fallen into? Well, f first of all, [00:00:27] I think it's important to recognize that [00:00:30] the majority of the American people find [00:00:33] this behavior deeply troubling. You [00:00:36] know, it it is true that it gets [00:00:38] attention. [00:00:40] It's true that it's a distraction, [00:00:43] but [00:00:45] you know, as I'm traveling around the [00:00:47] country, as as you're traveling around [00:00:49] the country, you meet people uh they [00:00:52] still believe in decency, courtesy, [00:00:56] kindness, and [00:00:59] there's this sort of clown show that's [00:01:01] happening [00:01:02] in social media and on television. Uh [00:01:06] and what is true is that there doesn't [00:01:10] seem to be any shame about this among [00:01:13] people who used to feel like you had to [00:01:18] have some sort of decorum and and and [00:01:22] um a sense of propriety [00:01:26] and respect for the office. Right? So so [00:01:28] that's been lost. But the but the reason [00:01:31] I I point out that I don't think the [00:01:33] majority of the American people approve [00:01:35] of this is [00:01:38] because ultimately the answer is going [00:01:39] to come from the American people. And we [00:01:42] just saw this uh in Minnesota and [00:01:45] Minneapolis. Um I [00:01:50] it is important for us to recognize the [00:01:54] uh [00:01:56] unprecedented nature of what ICE was [00:01:58] doing in Minneapolis St. Paul, the the [00:02:02] the [00:02:04] way that [00:02:08] federal agents, ICE agents were being [00:02:10] deployed [00:02:12] without any clear [00:02:15] guidelines, training, [00:02:18] uh pulling people off uh you know, out [00:02:21] of their homes, using five-year-olds to [00:02:23] try to uh [00:02:25] >> bait their parents. [00:02:26] >> Bait their parents. uh all the stuff [00:02:28] that we saw that tear gasing crowds [00:02:32] simply who were standing there not [00:02:34] breaking any laws. Um [00:02:37] so so the rogue behavior of [00:02:41] agents of the federal government we is [00:02:44] is deeply concerning and and [00:02:47] uh dangerous.
