[00:00:01] Good afternoon. I would like to welcome [00:00:04] uh Aiva Seagull and Keith Seagull in the [00:00:07] White House. Uh Aviva was hostage for 51 [00:00:14] days. Captured by Hamas on October 7, [00:00:20] 2023. [00:00:22] and Keith was captured for 484 days. [00:00:28] After Abiva was freed, she called me, [00:00:34] wanted to see me and we set up a meeting [00:00:37] in New York in January 2025. [00:00:42] It was emotional meeting and um it is [00:00:46] captured on camera and available to see [00:00:49] in my new film Melania. [00:00:52] Um it was very emotional. [00:00:56] Aviva present me with two of kids books [00:01:01] and uh when I came home that evening, I [00:01:04] gave it to my husband and inform him the [00:01:09] situation [00:01:11] and I know he was fighting for all of [00:01:14] the hostages. And as we know now, all of [00:01:18] the hostages are free and home with the [00:01:21] families. [00:01:22] Aviva was a warrior. She's a warrior. [00:01:25] She was fighting very hard for Keith and [00:01:28] I know he suffered a lot. [00:01:32] I'm happy to see you healthy at home [00:01:35] with your children, with your [00:01:37] grandchildren, with your family and uh I [00:01:40] know you're giving back your time, your [00:01:44] energy to other people. So, thank you [00:01:47] for that. [00:01:49] >> Would you like to say a few words? [00:01:51] >> Yes. [00:02:00] I want to start by saying thank you [00:02:05] to the first lady Melania Trump and to [00:02:08] President Trump. [00:02:12] I want to thank you for being a caring, [00:02:15] compassionate person for supporting and [00:02:18] helping Abdiva. [00:02:31] during those difficult days and you [00:02:34] helped her enormously [00:02:38] um in many ways. [00:02:41] It's an honor. It's a privilege and I'm [00:02:42] eternally grateful and I'm very grateful [00:02:45] to have the opportunity to say that to [00:02:46] you in person sitting next to you. [00:02:50] I am eternally grateful to you and [00:02:51] President Trump for bringing me home and [00:02:53] for bringing all of the hostages back to [00:02:56] their families. [00:03:00] Um, [00:03:03] and I just want to mention [00:03:06] uh the extraordinary [00:03:09] u mobilization [00:03:12] in the fight in the fight for [00:03:16] Aviva and my and all of the hostages [00:03:18] freedom [00:03:20] and how it moved me deeply [00:03:23] and it showed us the true meaning of [00:03:26] holding on to hope even in the most [00:03:28] difficult moments. [00:03:32] Now that I have regained my freedom [00:03:35] and I celebrated one year of freedom [00:03:38] being released from captivity this [00:03:40] Sunday, [00:03:43] I have committed myself to partnering [00:03:46] with Israel, [00:03:48] an Israeli humanitarian aid organization [00:03:51] to help restore hope for others. [00:03:55] Giving back is a crucial part of my [00:03:58] recovery and rehabilitation process. [00:04:03] Aviv and I just returned [00:04:06] Aiv and I just came from on Sunday from [00:04:11] one of the world's largest refugee camps [00:04:14] in Kenya called Kakuma. [00:04:17] In Kakuma, Isra is providing access to [00:04:21] clean water, hygiene, sanitation, and [00:04:25] education to thousands of refugees [00:04:29] that otherwise would not have any of [00:04:32] those. [00:04:34] The work of Israel has inspired me and [00:04:37] given me a new sense of p of purpose. [00:04:41] Um, [00:04:43] what an a remarkable and amazing [00:04:45] accomplishment bringing all of the [00:04:48] hostages back home. [00:04:50] And [00:04:52] we have a mission ahead of us to help [00:04:55] others that are struggling. [00:04:58] And [00:05:00] this is our new mission in life. This is [00:05:03] the road we are on. This is our journey. [00:05:06] And I also want to end by congratulating [00:05:09] you on the release of your movie. So [00:05:12] much looking forward to seeing it and so [00:05:15] grateful for you deciding to have a a [00:05:18] Viva be a part of your movie. [00:05:22] >> Thank you. [00:05:23] >> Thank you. [00:05:27] I just want to say that I waited for the [00:05:29] last hostage to come home to take me [00:05:33] because when we met before came home, [00:05:35] you gave me so much hope and I could [00:05:38] feel your heart with me [00:05:41] and I I knew how important it was for [00:05:44] you to go back home and talk to [00:05:46] President Trump and share your feelings. [00:05:49] So I want to thank you for that and I [00:05:51] want to thank you for putting me in your [00:05:55] special Melania film because I was there [00:06:00] talking to you not for myself for but [00:06:03] for the whole world. Bringing the [00:06:05] hostages home was the most important [00:06:08] thing that I could think about in this [00:06:11] world and now it's all over the world. [00:06:14] The bad things that Hamas did to my [00:06:16] husband. But I'm lucky. And thank you, [00:06:20] Keith, for staying alive and being with [00:06:22] me. And thank you, Melania, for helping. [00:06:26] I really appreciate it. I want to just [00:06:29] tell you that I decided to write a book [00:06:31] and it's dedicated to my grandchildren [00:06:33] that can't hear the stories because they [00:06:36] are very, very hard stories to hear. And [00:06:39] in the book, [00:06:42] I wrote thank you to her because you [00:06:45] helped to bring people home and you [00:06:47] helped to bring the hostages home. So, [00:06:49] I'm thanking you. And in my book, [00:06:53] everybody that will read it will [00:06:55] understand what happens to somebody [00:06:58] that's 64 years old, kidnapped from a [00:07:01] home, and went through [00:07:04] so many moments that I thought and was [00:07:06] sure that I'm going to die. and I'm [00:07:09] allowed and I survived to tell. [00:07:13] So, thank you very very much. I'll [00:07:16] always remember the meeting with you and [00:07:18] I'll always remember you have [00:07:20] >> Thank you from my bottom of my heart. [00:07:22] >> Thank you [00:07:22] >> and good luck with the film. [00:07:24] >> Thank you so much. [00:07:26] >> Thank you. [00:07:27] >> And we're going to make this world a [00:07:29] better world together. [00:07:31] >> In peace, [00:07:36] >> thank you. [00:07:38] Sorry. [00:07:39] >> What did you say to the president after [00:07:40] your meeting with Mrs. I gave him the [00:07:43] books, the books that Aviva gave me and [00:07:46] uh I explained the situation [00:07:49] uh where she she thought that Keith was [00:07:53] how he was doing. She didn't have much [00:07:55] information, but she knew how much he [00:07:59] was suffering because she was with him [00:08:01] for 50 days. And uh I explained to him [00:08:04] everything and I know how hard he was [00:08:08] working to release any of the hostages. [00:08:12] >> Has agreed to release any more Ukrainian [00:08:15] children? [00:08:16] >> Has President Putin agreed to release [00:08:18] any more Ukrainian children? [00:08:19] >> I'm working on it. I'm working on it and [00:08:22] uh we are in the process. So I hope we [00:08:25] have success very soon. I will keep you [00:08:27] posted. [00:08:30] >> Why do you feel it is appropriate to use [00:08:33] an official White House event to promote [00:08:34] your documentary? [00:08:36] >> This is not promotion. We are here [00:08:37] celebrating the release of the hostages [00:08:41] of Viva and Keith. They were in [00:08:45] Washington DC and they called me. They [00:08:47] said they would like to come over to [00:08:49] thank me and to uh to give uh hugs and [00:08:55] that's why we are here has nothing to do [00:08:57] with promotion. [00:08:58] >> Have you reached out to reached out to [00:09:01] President [00:09:02] >> recently after the letter [00:09:05] you were in contact with? [00:09:06] >> Thank you. Thank you. [00:09:08] There's a call from any survivors [00:09:11] Maxwell moved to a high [00:09:13] >> Thank you. Thank you. [00:09:14] >> We are here celebrating the release and [00:09:17] the life of those two incredible people. [00:09:21] So let's honor that. [00:09:22] Thank you everyone. Thank you. We're [00:09:24] we're ending. Thank you everyone. [00:09:26] >> Thank you everybody. Keep moving. [00:09:30] >> Thank you guys. Thank you. Keep moving [00:09:33] guys. Thank you. Thank you guys.
