[00:03:46] is bigger than you. It's bigger than me.
[00:03:49] You are here to make somebody else's
[00:03:51] life better and pursue liberty and
[00:03:53] freedom. You know what gives me
[00:03:55] strength?
[00:03:56] [Music]
[00:03:57] hundreds of thousands of you that say
[00:04:00] Charlie
[00:04:02] first Corinthians 5 and 15. So that's
[00:04:05] all pretty amazing evidence not just
[00:04:06] intra biblical evidence but extra
[00:04:08] biblical evidence that Jesus Christ was
[00:04:10] a real person. He lived a perfect life.
[00:04:13] He was crucified, died and rose on the
[00:04:15] third day and he is Lord and
[00:04:42] Charlie Kirk with Majio News. I'm a
[00:04:44] recent high school graduate from the
[00:04:45] Five Spotlight Area. 18-year-old Charlie
[00:04:47] Kirk is saying enough is enough. I mean
[00:04:50] our public school education system and
[00:04:52] everybody around us is trying to make it
[00:04:53] seem like this debt is not a big
[00:04:55] problem.
[00:04:55] My suggestion is just get aware of all
[00:04:57] signs. Be able to argue the argument for
[00:04:59] capitalism as well as you can for
[00:05:00] socialism.
[00:05:01] Charlie Kirk is a young man from Turning
[00:05:04] Point. He's the founder of the
[00:05:05] organization.
[00:05:07] Very special hour episode for you today.
[00:05:10] My wife joins us, Erica Kirk. The
[00:05:12] beautiful legendary Erica.
[00:05:14] I love you so much.
[00:05:15] I love you.
[00:05:22] Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner. Gave
[00:05:24] my life to Christ. Most important
[00:05:26] decision I ever made. And the
[00:05:26] resurrection is the is the pinpoint of
[00:05:29] my belief that Jesus did rise from the
[00:05:31] grave so that we may live. We should be
[00:05:33] so grateful. I wish we had our hands
[00:05:35] hands in these kissing the ground and
[00:05:36] thank you God we get to live in this
[00:05:37] great nation which is the inheritance
[00:05:40] not of luck not of chance not of
[00:05:43] Buddhism but the inheritance of
[00:05:45] courageous Christians who put everything
[00:05:47] on the line so that we can live free
[00:05:49] what I do is I fight and I know what God
[00:05:51] calls to us so the specific teachings of
[00:05:54] Christ is go make disciples of all
[00:05:55] nations I'm trying my best to do that
[00:05:59] every human being is made in the image
[00:06:02] of God and deserves protection.
[00:06:07] God is not done with America, everybody.
[00:06:09] God is at work in this country. God is
[00:06:11] not done with this country.
[00:06:16] If everything
[00:06:18] completely goes away, how do you want to
[00:06:20] be?
[00:06:22] I want to be remembered for for courage
[00:06:24] for my faith. That that would be the
[00:06:26] most important most important thing to
[00:06:28] my faith.
[00:06:30] Heat. Heat.
[00:07:09] would ask that all members present in
[00:07:11] the chamber and those in the gallery
[00:07:13] please rise for a moment of prayer for
[00:07:15] Charlie B.
[00:07:21] It is with profound sorrow we mourn the
[00:07:24] tragic passing of Charlie Kirk following
[00:07:26] today's horrific assassination attack at
[00:07:28] Utah Valley University.
[00:07:33] It was a cowardly and vile act of
[00:07:35] violence carried out to silence one of
[00:07:38] America's boldest Christian conservative
[00:07:40] voices.
[00:07:41] Never underestimate the will of the
[00:07:43] American people and the sovereignty of
[00:07:45] God towards righteous and good purposes.
[00:07:51] Charlie was more than a broadcaster. He
[00:07:54] was a fearless defender of truth and a
[00:07:57] faithful servant of God.
[00:08:00] His assassination was not just an attack
[00:08:02] on Charlie. It was an attack on free
[00:08:04] speech and on the values Charlie
[00:08:06] championed every day.
[00:08:08] Together, we will ensure that his voice,
[00:08:11] his message, and his legacy will live on
[00:08:14] for countless generations to come. In a
[00:08:17] world where voices are silenced and
[00:08:19] truth is often drowned out by the noise
[00:08:21] of the moment, there are those who rise
[00:08:24] above the fray, those whose courage,
[00:08:26] conviction, and clarity light the way
[00:08:29] for others. Today, we remember one such
[00:08:32] voice.
[00:08:34] This is not just the story of a man. It
[00:08:36] is the story of a movement. A movement
[00:08:38] built on faith, resilience, and the
[00:08:41] unyielding pursuit of liberty. It's a
[00:08:44] movement led by a man who dared to stand
[00:08:46] tall, who spoke truth when others
[00:08:49] hesitated,
[00:08:51] who fought for the values that define us
[00:08:53] as a nation.
[00:08:55] That's the legacy of Charlie Kirk.
[00:08:58] As we look back on his journey, we
[00:09:00] celebrate the moments that shaped him,
[00:09:02] the battles he fought, and the
[00:09:04] indomitable spirit that will continue to
[00:09:06] inspire generations to come.
[00:09:09] This is where Charlie Kirk's story will
[00:09:12] live on.
[00:09:16] We remember Charlie Kirk.
[00:09:25] [Music]
[00:09:49] We're we're active in about 15 campuses
[00:09:51] and we're growing very very quickly. And
[00:09:52] keep in mind, this is not just a flash
[00:09:54] in the pan movement. We're going to
[00:09:55] become an institution to give them the
[00:09:57] power and the confidence to stand up and
[00:09:59] let their voice be heard. I started this
[00:10:01] organization when I was 18 years old. I
[00:10:03] decided uh not to go to college. I
[00:10:05] didn't get my dream school which was the
[00:10:06] United States Military Academy at West
[00:10:08] Point. I have this idea to galvanize and
[00:10:10] motivate the future youth of this
[00:10:11] country around a core set of ideas, not
[00:10:13] just political parties or politicians.
[00:10:15] And the ideas are really America's the
[00:10:17] greatest country in the history of the
[00:10:18] world. Constitution is the greatest
[00:10:19] political document ever written and free
[00:10:20] enterprise the most assured way to lift
[00:10:22] people out of poverty and create
[00:10:23] prosperity for all. Those are the three
[00:10:24] big ideas. Um and I think that's
[00:10:26] something that can win.
[00:10:29] [Music]
[00:10:35] We as Christians are called to go into
[00:10:38] the public arena to correct error with
[00:10:41] truth. So I go to college campuses and
[00:10:43] there's a lot of error. We're all
[00:10:44] sinners. We all live in error. I'm far
[00:10:47] more interested in what God wants of me
[00:10:49] than what I want of from God.
[00:10:51] I have to say this without getting
[00:10:52] emotional, but I'm very proud of my
[00:10:54] husband and I know many of you are too.
[00:10:59] you have worked so hard and I know a lot
[00:11:02] of you have seen obviously his videos on
[00:11:04] Tik Tok and all the stuff he does on
[00:11:06] campus but no one gets to see him from
[00:11:10] my angle except for myself and our
[00:11:12] children
[00:11:22] and the sacrifices that he made this
[00:11:25] here.
[00:11:27] He's amazing. I'm very blessed
[00:11:29] and I I would not have been able to do
[00:11:31] any of it without Erica. And that's the
[00:11:32] real truth. I'll tell you what,
[00:11:36] you are here as a grassroots response to
[00:11:39] the top down revolution happening in
[00:11:41] this country. I want our Turning Point
[00:11:43] USA students to receive a round of
[00:11:45] applause. These are the freedom fighters
[00:11:47] of America.
[00:11:50] [Applause]
[00:11:51] And the media said that Turning Point
[00:11:53] will run a ground game. They weren't
[00:11:55] experienced. They didn't know Charlie,
[00:11:57] right?
[00:11:58] This is the greatest generational
[00:12:00] realignment since Woodstock. This
[00:12:02] generation is the most conservative
[00:12:04] generation that we have seen in well
[00:12:06] over 50 years. And the numbers show it.
[00:12:09] What young people especially are
[00:12:12] screaming at is they say, "Give me a
[00:12:15] structure that I can live my life by."
[00:12:18] And especially with young men, more
[00:12:20] challenging of them, more saying, "You
[00:12:22] know what? Honestly, I'm not going to
[00:12:23] talk down to you. Stop being a boy and
[00:12:26] become a man. You want to learn what
[00:12:27] that means? Come to church and I'll tell
[00:12:28] you what it means to become a man
[00:12:30] because we have the greatest story ever
[00:12:32] told. What can I do to save the country?
[00:12:35] You answer that question every single
[00:12:37] day because you are doing the work to
[00:12:40] save this beautiful republic. You are
[00:12:42] doing something that is bigger than you.
[00:12:46] If everything
[00:12:48] completely goes away, be remembered. I
[00:12:51] want to be I want to be remembered for
[00:12:53] for my faith. That that would be the
[00:12:55] most important thing. Most important
[00:12:56] thing is my faith.
[00:13:04] [Music]
[00:13:23] [Music]
[00:13:33] [Music]
[00:13:34] I can only imagine
[00:13:38] what it will be like.
[00:13:43] to say, you know what, I don't like the
[00:13:44] way the country is going and to do
[00:13:47] something about it. Take that risk. Take
[00:13:50] that leap of faith. Stay involved. Trust
[00:13:53] God and act obediently. Romans 12:2
[00:13:57] verse that God will use all things, all
[00:14:00] things
[00:14:02] for good for those who love him. It's
[00:14:04] bigger than you. I want you to remember
[00:14:06] that. It is bigger than you. It's bigger
[00:14:09] than me. You are here to make somebody
[00:14:11] else's life better in the pursuit of
[00:14:13] liberty and freedom.
[00:14:14] You know what gives me strength,
[00:14:18] the hundreds of thousands of you that
[00:14:21] say, "Charlie, keep going."
[00:14:22] 1 Corinthians 5 and 15. So that's all
[00:14:25] pretty amazing evidence, not just intra
[00:14:27] biblical evidence, but extra biblical
[00:14:29] evidence.
[00:14:31] He was a real person.

[00:14:37] is Lord and God of all.

[00:15:07] Charlie Kirk is saying
[00:15:10] I meanation system and everybody around
[00:15:13] us is trying to make it seem like this
[00:15:14] debt is not a big problem.
[00:15:16] My suggestion is just get aware of all
[00:15:17] sides. Be able to argue the argument for

[00:15:34] Erica.
[00:15:35] I love you so much.
[00:15:36] I love you.
[00:15:38] [Applause]
[00:15:43] Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner.
[00:15:46] I ever made the resurrection
[00:15:49] pinpoint of belief that Jesus did so
[00:15:52] that we may live. so grateful we should
[00:15:54] be at our kissing the ground and

[00:24:20] things, all things
[00:24:22] for good for those who love him. It's
[00:24:24] bigger than you. I want you to remember
[00:24:27] it is bigger than you. It's bigger than
[00:24:30] me. You are here to make somebody else's
[00:24:32] life better in the pursuit of liberty
[00:24:34] and freedom. You know what gives me
[00:24:36] strength?
[00:24:38] It's hundreds of thousands of you that
[00:24:41] say, "Charlie, keep going."
[00:24:43] First Corinthians 5 and 15. So that's
[00:24:46] all pretty amazing evidence. Not just
[00:24:47] intra biblical evidence, but extra
[00:24:49] biblical evidence that Jesus Christ was
[00:24:51] a real person. He lived a perfect life.
[00:24:54] He was crucified, died, and rose on the
[00:24:56] third day. And he is Lord and God of
[00:24:58] all.
[00:25:23] Charlie Kirk with Majio News. I'm a
[00:25:25] recent high school graduate from the
[00:25:26] Chicagoland area.
[00:25:27] 18-year-old Charlie Kirk is saying
[00:25:29] enough is enough. I mean, our public
[00:25:31] school education system and everybody
[00:25:33] around us is trying to make it seem like
[00:25:35] this debt is not a big problem.
[00:25:36] My suggestion is just get aware of all
[00:25:38] sides. Be able to argue the argument for
[00:25:40] capitalism as well as you can for
[00:25:41] socialism. Charlie Kirk is a young man
[00:25:43] from Turning Point. He's the founder of
[00:25:46] the organization.
[00:25:48] Very special hour episode for you today.
[00:25:51] My wife joins us, Erica Kirk. The
[00:25:53] beautiful, legendary Erica.
[00:25:55] I love you so much.
[00:25:56] I love you.
[00:26:03] Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner. He
[00:26:05] gave my life to Christ. Most important
[00:26:06] decision I ever made. And the
[00:26:08] resurrection is the is the pinpoint of
[00:26:10] my belief that Jesus did rise from the
[00:26:12] grave so that we may live.
[00:26:14] We should be so grateful. We should be
[00:26:15] at our hands hands and knees kissing the
[00:26:16] ground and thanking God we get to live
[00:26:18] in this great nation which is the
[00:26:19] inheritance not of luck, not of chance,
[00:26:23] not of Buddhism, but the inheritance of
[00:26:26] courageous Christians who put everything
[00:26:28] on the line so that we can live free.
[00:26:30] What I do is I fight and I know what God
[00:26:32] calls of us. So the specific teachings
[00:26:35] of Christ is go make disciples of all
[00:26:36] nations. I'm trying my best to do that.
[00:26:40] Every human being is made in the image
[00:26:43] of God and deserves protection.
[00:26:47] [Applause]
[00:26:48] God is not done with America. Everybody
[00:26:50] God is at work in this country and God
[00:26:52] is not done with this country.
[00:26:57] If everything
[00:26:59] completely goes away, how do you want to
[00:27:01] be remembered?
[00:27:03] I want to be remembered for for courage
[00:27:05] for my faith. That that would be the
[00:27:07] most important most important thing is
[00:27:09] my faith.
[00:27:50] Chair would ask that all members present
[00:27:52] in the chamber and those in the gallery
[00:27:54] please rise for a moment of prayer for
[00:27:56] Charlie Kirk and his family.
[00:28:02] It is with profound sorrow we mourn the
[00:28:05] tragic passing of Charlie Kirk following
[00:28:07] today's horrific assassination attack at
[00:28:10] Utah Valley University.
[00:28:14] It was a cowardly and vile act of
[00:28:16] violence carried out to silence one of
[00:28:19] America's boldest Christian conservative
[00:28:21] voices. Never underestimate the will of
[00:28:24] the American people and the sovereignty
[00:28:26] of God for his righteous and good
[00:28:28] purposes.
[00:28:32] Charlie was more than a broadcaster. He
[00:28:35] was a fearless defender of truth and a
[00:28:38] faithful servant of God.
[00:28:41] His assassination was not just an attack
[00:28:43] on Charlie. It was an attack on free
[00:28:45] speech and on the values Charlie
[00:28:47] championed every day. Together, we will
[00:28:51] ensure that his voice, his message, and
[00:28:53] his legacy will live on for countless
[00:28:56] generations to come. In a world where
[00:28:59] voices are silenced and truth is often
[00:29:01] drowned out by the noise of the moment,
[00:29:04] there are those who rise above the fray,
[00:29:06] those whose courage, conviction, and
[00:29:08] clarity light the way for others. Today,
[00:29:12] we remember one such voice.
[00:29:15] This is not just the story of a man. It
[00:29:17] is the story of a movement. A movement
[00:29:19] built on faith, resilience, and the
[00:29:22] unyielding pursuit of liberty.
[00:29:24] It's a movement led by a man who dared
[00:29:27] to stand tall, who spoke truth when
[00:29:30] others hesitated,
[00:29:32] who fought for the values that define us
[00:29:34] as a nation.
[00:29:36] That's the legacy of Charlie Kirk.
[00:29:39] As we look back on his journey, we
[00:29:41] celebrate the moments that shaped him,
[00:29:43] the battles he fought, and the
[00:29:45] indomitable spirit that will continue to
[00:29:47] inspire generations to come.
[00:29:50] This is where Charlie Kirk's story will
[00:29:54] live on.
[00:29:57] We remember Charlie Kirk.
[00:30:01] [Music]
[00:30:30] We're we're active in about 15 campuses
[00:30:32] and we're growing very very quickly. And
[00:30:33] keep in mind, this is not just a flash
[00:30:35] in the pan movement. uh we're going to
[00:30:36] become an institution to give them the
[00:30:38] power and the confidence to stand up and
[00:30:40] let their voice be heard.
[00:30:41] I started this organization when I was
[00:30:43] 18 years old. I decided uh not to go to
[00:30:45] college. I didn't get in my dream
[00:30:46] school, which was the United States
[00:30:48] Military Academy at West Point. I have
[00:30:49] this idea to galvanize and motivate the
[00:30:51] future youth of this country around a
[00:30:53] core set of ideas, not just political
[00:30:55] parties or politicians. And the ideas
[00:30:57] are really America is the greatest
[00:30:58] country in the history of the world.
[00:30:59] Constitution is the greatest political
[00:31:00] document ever written and free
[00:31:01] enterprise the most assured way to lift
[00:31:03] people out of poverty and create
[00:31:04] prosperity for all. those the three big
[00:31:06] ideas. Um, and I think that's something
[00:31:08] that can win.
[00:31:09] [Music]
[00:31:16] We as Christians are called to go into
[00:31:19] the public arena to correct error with
[00:31:22] truth. So, I go to college campuses and
[00:31:24] there's a lot of error. We're all
[00:31:25] sinners. We all live in error. I'm far
[00:31:28] more interested in what God wants of me
[00:31:30] than what I want of from God. I have to
[00:31:32] say this without getting emotional, but
[00:31:34] I'm very proud of my husband and I know
[00:31:35] many of you are too.
[00:31:40] You have worked so hard and I know a lot
[00:31:42] of you have seen obviously his videos on
[00:31:46] TikTok and all the stuff he does on
[00:31:47] campus, but no one gets to see him from
[00:31:51] my angle except for myself and our
[00:31:53] children.
[00:32:02] the best
[00:32:03] and the sacrifices that he made this
[00:32:06] year.
[00:32:08] He's amazing. I'm very blessed.
[00:32:10] And I I would not have been able to do
[00:32:12] any of it without Erica. And that's the
[00:32:13] real truth. I'll tell you what,
[00:32:17] you are here as a grassroots response to
[00:32:20] the top down revolution happening in
[00:32:22] this country. I want our Turning Point
[00:32:24] USA students to receive a round of
[00:32:26] applause. These are the freedom fighters
[00:32:28] of America.
[00:32:31] [Applause]
[00:32:32] The media said the turning point could
[00:32:34] never run a ground game. They weren't
[00:32:36] experienced. They didn't know Charlie,
[00:32:38] right? This is the greatest generational
[00:32:41] realignment since Woodstock. This
[00:32:43] generation is the most conservative
[00:32:45] generation that we have seen in well
[00:32:47] over 50 years. And the numbers show it.
[00:32:50] What young people especially are
[00:32:53] screaming at is they say, "Give me a
[00:32:56] structure that I can live my life by."
[00:32:59] And especially with young men, more
[00:33:01] challenging of them, more saying, "You
[00:33:03] know what? Honestly, I'm not going to
[00:33:04] talk down to you. Stop being a boy and
[00:33:07] become a man. You want to learn what
[00:33:08] that means? Come to church and I'll tell
[00:33:09] you what it means to become a man. Cuz
[00:33:11] we have the greatest story ever told.
[00:33:14] What can I do to save the country?" You
[00:33:16] answer that question every single day
[00:33:18] because you are doing the work to save
[00:33:21] this beautiful republic. You are doing
[00:33:23] something that is bigger than you.
[00:33:27] If everything
[00:33:29] completely goes away, how do you want to
[00:33:31] be remembered?
[00:33:31] I want to be I want to be remembered for
[00:33:33] for courage for my faith. That that
[00:33:36] would be the most important thing. Most
[00:33:37] important thing is my faith.
[00:33:42] Heat. Heat.
[00:33:45] [Music]
[00:34:13] [Music]
[00:34:15] I can only imagine
[00:34:19] what it will be like
[00:34:22] when
[00:34:22] America is it possible to say you know
[00:34:25] what I don't like the way the country is
[00:34:26] going and to do something about it take
[00:34:30] that risk take that leap of faith stay
[00:34:33] involved trust God and act obediently
[00:34:37] Romans 12:2 verse that God will use all
[00:34:40] things all things
[00:34:43] for good for those who love him. It's
[00:34:45] bigger than you. I want you to remember
[00:34:47] that it is bigger than you. It's bigger

[00:34:52] else's life better in the pursuit of

[00:43:38] single day because you are doing the
[00:43:40] work to save this beautiful republic.
[00:43:43] You are doing something that is bigger
[00:43:45] than you.
[00:43:47] If everything
[00:43:49] completely goes away, how do you want to
[00:43:51] be remembered?
[00:43:52] I want to be I want to be remembered for
[00:43:54] for courage for my faith. That that
[00:43:56] would be the most important thing. Most
[00:43:58] important thing is my faith.
[00:44:14] Very proud.
[00:44:34] [Music]
[00:44:36] I can only imagine
[00:44:39] what it will be like.
[00:44:43] America, is it possible to say, you know
[00:44:45] what, I don't like the way the country
[00:44:47] is going and to do something about it.
[00:44:50] Take that risk. Take that leap of faith.
[00:44:53] Stay involved. Trust God and act
[00:44:56] obediently.
[00:44:57] Romans 12:2 verse that God will use all
[00:45:01] things all things
[00:45:03] for good for those who love him. It's
[00:45:05] bigger than you. I want you to remember
[00:45:08] it is bigger than you. It's bigger than
[00:45:11] me. You are here to make somebody else's
[00:45:13] life better in the pursuit of liberty
[00:45:15] and freedom. You know what gives me
[00:45:17] strength?
[00:45:19] The hundreds of thousands of you that
[00:45:22] say, "Charlie, keep going."
[00:45:24] 1 Corinthians 5 and 15. So that's all
[00:45:27] pretty amazing evidence, not just
[00:45:28] intrabiblical evidence, but extra
[00:45:30] biblical evidence that Jesus Christ was
[00:45:32] a real person. He lived a perfect life.
[00:45:35] He was crucified, died, and rose on the
[00:45:37] third day. And he is Lord and God.
[00:46:04] Charlie Kirk with Majio News. I'm a
[00:46:06] recent high school graduate from the
[00:46:07] Chicagoland area.
[00:46:08] 18-year-old Charlie Kirk is saying
[00:46:10] enough is enough. I mean, our public
[00:46:12] school education system and everybody
[00:46:14] around us is trying to make it seem like
[00:46:16] this debt is not a big problem.
[00:46:17] My suggestion is just get aware of all
[00:46:19] sides. be able to argue the argument for
[00:46:21] capitalism as well as you can for
[00:46:22] socialism.
[00:46:23] Charlie Kirk is a young man from Turning
[00:46:26] Point. He's the founder of the
[00:46:27] organization.

[00:46:32] My wife joins us. Erica Kirk, the

[00:46:44] Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner. Gave
[00:46:46] my life to Christ. Most important
[00:46:48] decision I ever made. And the
[00:46:49] resurrection is the is the pinpoint of
[00:46:51] my belief that Jesus did rise from the
[00:46:53] grave so that we may
[00:47:24] [Music]
[00:47:31] We're just going to worship a little bit
[00:47:32] tonight as people are still coming in.

[01:04:49] No turning. Come on, just your voices.
[01:04:52] Let's sing this out. I have decided

[01:05:23] No turning back.
[01:05:27] And no turning back.
[01:05:32] No turning back.

[01:05:46] [Applause]
[01:05:48] [Music]
[01:05:50] [Applause]
[01:05:54] [Music]
[01:05:56] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome
[01:05:58] Micah Ray who will open tonight's
[01:06:00] service in prayer.
[01:06:10] Well, thank you all for your patience
[01:06:12] with us and getting this going. We are
[01:06:14] absolutely honored that you would be
[01:06:16] here tonight and the large crowd speaks
[01:06:20] volumes for our brother and our friend
[01:06:24] Charlie Kirk.
[01:06:26] Would you all pray with me now as we
[01:06:28] begin this memorial vigil?
[01:06:32] Our loving heavenly father, we come
[01:06:34] before you tonight with heavy hearts,
[01:06:38] mourning the loss of our dear friend and
[01:06:41] brother Charlie Kirk.
[01:06:44] But we also rejoice in knowing that he
[01:06:46] is with you and has heard those sweet
[01:06:48] words, well done, good and faithful
[01:06:52] servant. Lord, we thank you for his
[01:06:55] life, his bold faith, the witness he
[01:06:58] bore for you and all that he did. We're
[01:07:00] grateful for the ways that he pointed
[01:07:02] others to Christ and lived with courage
[01:07:04] and conviction to fight for truth.
[01:07:07] Father, will you lift up his wife Erica,
[01:07:10] his children, his family and friends?
[01:07:13] Would you surround them with your
[01:07:14] comfort and peace? Would you hold them
[01:07:16] close in this time of grief and give
[01:07:18] them strength that only you can provide?
[01:07:22] Your word reminds us in Psalm 34:18,
[01:07:24] "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
[01:07:27] and saves those who are crushed in
[01:07:29] spirit. Be that refuge and strength for
[01:07:31] them now, Lord." And Lord, we thank you
[01:07:34] for all those who have come out tonight
[01:07:36] to honor him.
[01:07:38] Many who have traveled far, especially
[01:07:40] our special guests who took from their
[01:07:42] busy schedules to honor Charlie. Lord,
[01:07:44] may everyone here tonight be lifted up
[01:07:46] and encouraged by this gathering. We
[01:07:49] pray that this memorial will run
[01:07:51] smoothly, become a real source of
[01:07:54] comfort to those here in person and
[01:07:56] watching online.
[01:07:58] And most of all, may I honor Charlie's
[01:08:01] memory bring hope to his family and
[01:08:03] friends. And may his life and testimony
[01:08:05] stir us to live with the same kind of
[01:08:08] bold faith, courage to speak truth, and
[01:08:11] commitment to what's right, just like he
[01:08:13] did. Lord, we know that he would want
[01:08:15] one message to come from this event and
[01:08:17] that would be that those who do not know
[01:08:19] you as a personal savior would draw to
[01:08:22] him and call on him now.
[01:08:25] He wants to bring those to him. Lord, we
[01:08:28] know that the wages of sin are death,
[01:08:29] but the gift of God is eternal life
[01:08:31] through Jesus Christ our Lord. That was
[01:08:33] Charlie's hope that he carried every
[01:08:35] day. The good news that no matter what
[01:08:38] our past, forgiveness and eternal life
[01:08:40] are offered freely through Christ. Lord,
[01:08:43] we know that Charlie knew that this life
[01:08:44] is precious and often shorter than we
[01:08:47] expect. And that's why he lived with
[01:08:50] urgency to point others toward what
[01:08:52] mattered most, a real and personal
[01:08:54] relationship with Jesus Christ. As
[01:08:56] Charlie himself said, "Give your life to
[01:08:59] Jesus and he will rescue you."
[01:09:03] As he reminded us,
[01:09:05] our hope is not talking about politics
[01:09:07] or success or even the good that we can
[01:09:09] do. It's only found in Jesus Christ. And
[01:09:12] that hope is available to all tonight.
[01:09:15] Charlie once said recently, "Jesus
[01:09:17] defeated death so that we can live." So
[01:09:19] tonight, as we honor Charlie's memory,
[01:09:22] may we also take heart to the message of
[01:09:24] his life. Let's choose to walk with that
[01:09:26] same courage to love people deeply, to
[01:09:29] stand boldly for truth. And most
[01:09:31] importantly, Lord, would we anchor our
[01:09:33] lives on you? And it's your son's holy
[01:09:36] name we pray. Amen.
[01:09:38] Amen.
[01:09:42] Please rise and join retired Colonel
[01:09:44] Mark Shirley for the Pledge of
[01:09:46] Allegiance.
[01:09:59] Good evening. Please join me as we
[01:10:02] recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
[01:10:05] I pledge allegiance to the flag of the
[01:10:08] United States of America and to the
[01:10:11] republic for which it stands, one nation
[01:10:15] under God, indivisible, with liberty and
[01:10:19] justice for all.
[01:10:21] Thank you so much.
[01:10:23] [Applause]
[01:10:33] Please remain standing as we enter into
[01:10:36] worship led by Sha Voy.

[01:10:43] Amazing
[01:10:44] [Music]
[01:10:46] grace,
[01:10:48] how sweet
[01:10:50] the sun
[01:10:52] that saved
[01:10:54] a wretch
[01:10:57] like me.
[01:11:01] I once
[01:11:04] was lost
[01:11:06] but now
[01:11:08] I am found.
[01:11:11] was blind, but now
[01:11:15] I see.
[01:11:17] It was grace. It was grace
[01:11:21] that taught
[01:11:24] my heart
[01:11:26] to fear.
[01:11:28] And grace my fears
[01:11:32] relie.
[01:11:36] How preious
[01:11:39] is
[01:11:40] that grace

[01:13:01] grace,

[01:13:05] the sound

[01:13:54] and to you are all things.
[01:13:58] You deserve the glory.

[01:15:54] great
[01:15:57] is our God.

[01:16:08] is our God.
[01:16:11] See with me
[01:16:16] is our God.
[01:16:19] Oh, see how great
[01:16:24] how great
[01:16:27] is our God.
[01:16:29] Come on. Above our names. Above our
[01:16:32] names.

[01:17:01] the name.
[01:17:04] You're the name of the
[01:17:09] name.

[01:17:49] Please welcome Malia Shirley and
[01:17:52] Charlotte Perez, dear friends of Charlie
[01:17:55] Kirk and former Turning Point team
[01:17:56] members with tonight's welcoming
[01:17:58] remarks.
[01:18:10] Please feel free to have a seat.
[01:18:16] Good evening everyone. My name is Malia
[01:18:19] Shirley
[01:18:20] and I'm Charlotte Perez.
[01:18:21] We want to thank everyone for gathering
[01:18:23] with us tonight to celebrate the life
[01:18:26] and legacy of the one and only Charlie
[01:18:29] Kirk. We also want to thank President of
[01:18:32] the Kennedy Center, Ambassador Rick
[01:18:35] Rennell, and his amazing staff without
[01:18:37] whom this event would not have been
[01:18:39] possible
[01:18:55] when the horrific tragic assassination
[01:18:58] of Charlie took place on Wednesday, we
[01:19:01] were devastated as were millions across
[01:19:04] the country and the world. As I'm sure
[01:19:06] many of you have seen, vigils, prayer
[01:19:09] services, and memorials started popping
[01:19:12] up everywhere completely organically.
[01:19:15] We kept waiting to hear
[01:19:18] of one that was going to be happening in
[01:19:20] the DC area. And as patience is not the
[01:19:24] strongest virtue that either of us
[01:19:26] possess,
[01:19:29] by Thursday evening, we were going stir
[01:19:32] crazy and knew we had to do something.
[01:19:35] That's when we banded together to do
[01:19:37] what Turning Point quite literally
[01:19:39] trained us for, to plan a massive event
[01:19:43] like this with all but 48 hours notice.
[01:19:49] [Applause]
[01:19:59] truly to honor one of the greatest men
[01:20:01] that we've ever known. Another thank you
[01:20:03] to the over 80 volunteers who were made
[01:20:06] up as of friends, Turning Point alum,
[01:20:08] and those simply inspired by Charlie to
[01:20:11] get involved and lend a hand. It takes
[01:20:13] an army to pull off something like this.
[01:20:15] And thankfully over the past decade,
[01:20:17] that's exactly what Charlie has built.
[01:20:29] [Applause]
[01:20:31] Exactly one year ago today, I stood with
[01:20:34] Charlie Kirk on campus at the University
[01:20:37] of Nebraska Lincoln. We were still
[01:20:40] pushing to get winner take all passed in
[01:20:42] the Nebraska legislature before the 2024
[01:20:45] election. He texted me yet again 48
[01:20:49] hours beforehand simply saying, "Hey, if
[01:20:53] I come to the game Saturday, can we do a
[01:20:55] pop-up winner take all rally outside of
[01:20:58] the stadium?" And of course, as one does
[01:21:02] whenever Charlie asks for something,
[01:21:05] of course, we'll make it happen. and we
[01:21:08] did. When he showed up to a campus, a
[01:21:11] crowd of 300 to 400 students greeted
[01:21:14] him, wanting selfies, their MAGA hats
[01:21:17] signed, or to answer one of his man on
[01:21:20] the street questions in front of the
[01:21:21] film crew. I met Charlie for the first
[01:21:24] time back in 2014 when I was only a
[01:21:27] freshman in college trying to start a
[01:21:29] Turning Point USA chapter on my own
[01:21:31] campus. We really got to know each other
[01:21:34] in 2017 when that same campus in
[01:21:37] Nebraska had professors and
[01:21:39] administrators harassing and yelling
[01:21:41] profanities at our chapter leader there.
[01:21:44] We of course got video footage of the
[01:21:46] insanity. Sent it to Charlie immediately
[01:21:49] and his response was, "Oh, we're going
[01:21:52] to make these people famous.
[01:22:03] and we did if there was any doubt.
[01:22:06] I've planned a lot of events over the
[01:22:08] years, both with and for Charlie. From
[01:22:11] debates with theology professors and
[01:22:14] campus clash tours to county party
[01:22:17] fundraisers and pop-up rallies,
[01:22:20] it was incredible to witness the growth
[01:22:22] of Turning Point USA under his
[01:22:24] leadership.
[01:22:29] We went from having to all but bribe
[01:22:32] people to attend our events on campus
[01:22:34] because it was not yet cool to be a
[01:22:37] conservative in politics to having to
[01:22:40] turn people away at events because we
[01:22:43] reached max capacity with very little
[01:22:46] promotion.
[01:22:47] The one thing I never imagined though
[01:22:49] was that this would be the last event
[01:22:51] that I planned for him.
[01:22:54] I owe a lot in my life to Charlie Kirk,
[01:22:57] as I know so many do. His ability to
[01:23:01] invest in you, bring out the best in
[01:23:03] you, and push you to be better and work
[01:23:06] harder is unmatched.
[01:23:08] People like him only come along once in
[01:23:11] a generation.
[01:23:13] I'm a better person for knowing him, and
[01:23:15] we're a better we're a better country
[01:23:17] because of him.
[01:23:18] [Applause]
[01:23:29] Echoing everything Malia just said, our
[01:23:32] country would look very different today
[01:23:34] if it wasn't for Charlie Kirk.
[01:23:44] What started as a small get together on
[01:23:46] the Washington Monument quickly became
[01:23:49] very much bigger. We are honored to have
[01:23:52] so many amazing speakers here with us
[01:23:55] tonight who knew Charlie well and wanted
[01:23:57] the opportunity to share their personal
[01:23:59] close stories with him as I'm sure many
[01:24:02] of us have. In one way or another, we
[01:24:04] are all connected by Charlie Kirk. Your
[01:24:07] MC for the evening will be someone who
[01:24:09] is very near and dear to my heart from
[01:24:12] the great state of Arizona, State
[01:24:14] Senator Jake Hoffman.
[01:24:24] Jake has known Charlie for over a decade
[01:24:27] and has been an integral part in the
[01:24:29] building and growth of Turning Point. We
[01:24:31] thank all of you for taking time out of
[01:24:34] your very busy schedules, especially on
[01:24:36] such short notice, to help us honor the
[01:24:39] life and legacy of Charles James Kirk.
[01:24:42] And with that, our program will
[01:24:44] officially begin.
[01:24:53] Ladies and gentlemen, there are plenty
[01:24:56] of people looking for seats. If you have
[01:24:58] any seats to open, please
[01:25:02] go move together so we can have everyone
[01:25:05] sit.
[01:25:08] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome
[01:25:10] Arizona State Senator and longtime
[01:25:12] friend of Charlie Kirk, Senator Jake
[01:25:14] Hoffman.
[01:25:24] Well, I got to just say this is a
[01:25:27] beautiful site because this is exactly
[01:25:30] what Charlie would want to see right
[01:25:33] now.
[01:25:35] This coming together of young and old,
[01:25:39] of our nation's leaders, some of the
[01:25:41] most powerful people on planet Earth are
[01:25:44] in this room tonight. All because
[01:25:47] Charlie had an indelible impact on their
[01:25:50] lives the same way that he had on your
[01:25:52] lives.
[01:25:54] You know, there's a lot of thank yous
[01:25:57] for tonight. I'll just echo what they
[01:25:59] said. Thank you to Ambassador Grenell
[01:26:02] and the Kennedy Center staff. I want to
[01:26:04] thank a specific group of four people
[01:26:07] who helped make tonight possible. and
[01:26:09] that Charlotte Perez who you just saw,
[01:26:11] Malia Shirley, Mike Rehea, and there was
[01:26:15] so many more than that, but those three
[01:26:17] put in countless hours of work to make
[01:26:20] tonight possible.
[01:26:31] I want to thank all of you. I want to
[01:26:32] thank everyone in this room that took
[01:26:34] time out of their schedule to be here. I
[01:26:37] want to thank Speaker Johnson for being
[01:26:39] here. All of the White House
[01:26:41] administration officials that are here.
[01:26:45] [Applause]
[01:26:55] And we know there are two special
[01:26:58] individuals in that big, beautiful White
[01:27:01] House that care about Charlie Kirk,
[01:27:03] don't we? President Donald J. Trump and
[01:27:06] Vice President JD Viz love Charlie Kirk
[01:27:11] just like you love Charlie Kirk.
[01:27:15] We have over 85 members of Congress here
[01:27:19] tonight to honor Charlie Kirk.
[01:27:29] We have national conservative leaders
[01:27:33] that have flown in on a moment's notice
[01:27:37] just to be a part of this and to honor
[01:27:39] the life and legacy and the impact of
[01:27:42] Charlie Kirk.
[01:27:44] [Applause]
[01:27:51] We have grassroots from all over the DC
[01:27:54] and Virginia and Maryland areas. Thank
[01:27:57] you all. I saw buses out there. Anybody
[01:28:00] who came on a bus, God bless you for
[01:28:02] doing that.
[01:28:04] And
[01:28:06] [Applause]
[01:28:07] this impact here tonight goes so much
[01:28:09] bigger than just what you see in this
[01:28:11] room because we had every network beg us
[01:28:15] to live stream this. And so we have
[01:28:18] Foxes providing pool coverage and there
[01:28:20] are millions of people that will be
[01:28:23] watching along with us.
[01:28:32] Now, this this is a prayer vigil and so
[01:28:35] bow your heads with me because I want to
[01:28:37] offer up some words for the night. Dear
[01:28:39] heavenly father Jesus, we love you and
[01:28:41] we know that Charlie Kirk loved you
[01:28:43] dearly. God, we know that you have a
[01:28:47] plan for our lives.
[01:28:50] We know that your plan is perfect. And
[01:28:52] the peace that I have been finding these
[01:28:55] last few days, God, is that Charlie
[01:28:57] Kirk, when he sat down at that table,
[01:29:00] when he picked up that microphone,
[01:29:03] he knew that no matter what happened,
[01:29:06] your plan was perfect. God, I pray that
[01:29:10] you will be with the Kirk family. I pray
[01:29:12] that you will be with Erica and those
[01:29:13] little babies. God, just
[01:29:17] bless them because this week they lost a
[01:29:21] husband and they lost a dad, God. But we
[01:29:24] know that Charlie wants us to celebrate,
[01:29:27] not just mourn. And so we come to you
[01:29:30] tonight and we ask that you would let
[01:29:31] this be an honor to his legacy and that
[01:29:33] we would celebrate him all alike. In
[01:29:36] your name, amen.
[01:29:39] So with that in mind, because friends,
[01:29:41] we are mourning, but we are also
[01:29:44] celebrating an incredible life. From
[01:29:47] South Korea to London, Charlie Kirk has
[01:29:51] had an impact. From student campuses to
[01:29:53] the White House, Charlie Kirk has had an
[01:29:57] impact. So I got to ask you, if you are
[01:29:59] in here and you are under the age of 35
[01:30:03] and Charlie Kirk touched your life,
[01:30:05] let's hear you.
[01:30:14] [Applause]
[01:30:28] You know, there's a motto going around
[01:30:30] the Turning Point offices right now, and
[01:30:33] that's we are all Charlie Kirk. Now you
[01:30:37] are all Charlie Kirk. Now
[01:30:42] Charlie Kirk sacrificed his life
[01:30:45] defending our civil liberties to engage
[01:30:48] in free and open and honest debate.
[01:30:52] Charlie Kirk,
[01:30:54] you know, I know a different side of
[01:30:56] this man. I've known Charlie for a very
[01:31:00] long time since he was a Chicago boy who
[01:31:03] was trying to figure out whether he was
[01:31:05] going to make the move to DC as he grew
[01:31:08] his organization or whether he was going
[01:31:10] to move to the heartland. And it was a
[01:31:14] it was his right-hand man, Tyler Boyer.
[01:31:18] Tyler Boyer has been by his side since
[01:31:20] day one. and he convinced Charlie and
[01:31:24] they decided that it was better to move
[01:31:26] to the heartland because everyday
[01:31:28] Americans were who were going to save
[01:31:30] this country. It was going to be the
[01:31:32] people that live on Main Street, not the
[01:31:35] people
[01:31:36] that perpetually run for office.
[01:31:41] you know, 2019, it was New Year's Day,
[01:31:44] and most people on New Year's Day are
[01:31:47] are, you know, waking up slow and having
[01:31:49] breakfast because they probably stayed
[01:31:50] up too late the night before. And I get
[01:31:53] a frantic text text from Charlie Kirk
[01:31:56] and he says, "Jake, you got to come to
[01:31:57] the office. We're h we're having a team
[01:31:59] meeting to strategize for the next three
[01:32:01] years."
[01:32:03] And yes, sir, because that's what you do
[01:32:05] with Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk is a
[01:32:08] personality. He was a personality that
[01:32:11] when he asked you to do something, you
[01:32:13] knew in your bones that he knew what he
[01:32:16] was talking about because his
[01:32:18] convictions, they weren't driven by
[01:32:19] personal ambitions. They weren't driven
[01:32:22] by a desire for celebrity. They weren't
[01:32:24] driven by a desire for fame or for power
[01:32:30] or influence or for money. Charlie cared
[01:32:34] about the principles of America. He
[01:32:36] cared about the history of America. And
[01:32:39] he built an organization with people
[01:32:41] like Tyler by his side and many, many
[01:32:44] others, thousands of others by his side.
[01:32:47] He built an organization to give you a
[01:32:50] voice.
[01:32:52] And so I hope that tonight this will be
[01:32:54] an honor to him. I hope that we can do
[01:32:57] him right by this service. God bless you
[01:32:59] all. And I want to welcome up Speaker
[01:33:02] Mike Johnson.
[01:33:06] Please welcome the Speaker of the United
[01:33:08] States House of Representatives, Mike
[01:33:10] Johnson.
[01:33:29] [Applause]
[01:33:42] All right. Thank you all so much. It
[01:33:45] does my heart good to see you. And they
[01:33:47] hear that all the way in heaven. I'm
[01:33:48] telling you,
[01:33:51] it's been a very, very difficult week in
[01:33:53] America. We all know that. It's been a
[01:33:55] mixture of unspeakable
[01:33:58] sadness and grief and anger and and even
[01:34:01] fear. It's as if a a dark shadow was
[01:34:05] cast over our country and certainly here
[01:34:08] even on Capitol Hill. Uh the leaders of
[01:34:11] the nation have been shaken as have
[01:34:13] university students and college students
[01:34:15] and young people all across the country
[01:34:17] as zipped that the the ground was
[01:34:19] shifted beneath us. We all felt it deep,
[01:34:22] deep inside. And in spite of that, we
[01:34:27] remember that our dear friend Charlie
[01:34:30] would never want us to be overcome by
[01:34:33] despair. He would want exactly the
[01:34:35] opposite. You know, Charlie Kirk
[01:34:38] recruited and trained and educated a
[01:34:40] generation of happy warriors.
[01:34:43] And we do well to be reminded that the
[01:34:46] best way to honor his memory and to
[01:34:49] honor his unmatched legacy is to live as
[01:34:53] Charlie did.
[01:34:55] That's right.
[01:35:03] I I I just have two thoughts in a very
[01:35:06] brief moment I'm given to speak to you
[01:35:07] tonight. I just want to give you two
[01:35:08] thoughts with in that regard. If we can
[01:35:12] do two things that Charlie did, we will
[01:35:14] honor that legacy. One is to advance his
[01:35:17] principles and the other is to adopt his
[01:35:20] approach. Now, regarding his principles,
[01:35:23] Charlie was a man of deep faith and
[01:35:25] conviction. Everyone here can testify to
[01:35:27] that and all the speakers will tonight.
[01:35:28] I mean, he meant it to his core. He was
[01:35:31] authentic and that's what drew people to
[01:35:33] the message so much. And he believed in
[01:35:35] the things that are noble and
[01:35:36] praiseworthy and good that scripture
[01:35:38] talks about. He believed in family and
[01:35:41] freedom, faith, and virtue and and
[01:35:43] patriotism. See, Charlie understood that
[01:35:46] we live in the greatest nation in the
[01:35:47] history of the world. It's not even
[01:35:49] close.
[01:36:01] I don't care what anybody argues, and
[01:36:02] Charlie could beat them all. We're the
[01:36:04] most
[01:36:06] we're the most free, most successful,
[01:36:07] most powerful, most benevolent nation
[01:36:09] that has ever been on the earth. And
[01:36:10] Charlie understood why. And he wanted
[01:36:12] others to understand it as well. Because
[01:36:15] Charlie knew that if you don't
[01:36:16] understand the source of your freedom,
[01:36:17] it is easy for it to be taken away.
[01:36:20] Charlie believed in the creed of our
[01:36:21] country, which we will celebrate our
[01:36:23] 250th anniversary next year. Right.
[01:36:33] Charlie loved to take university
[01:36:34] students and young people through the
[01:36:36] second paragraph of the declaration. We
[01:36:38] hold these truths to be self-evident. By
[01:36:40] the way, students, what is a
[01:36:41] self-evident truth? It's something
[01:36:42] that's obvious. We hold these truths to
[01:36:44] be self-evident that all men are created
[01:36:47] equal. Not born equal. Created equal.
[01:36:50] That's what Charlie knew.
[01:36:59] And Charlie knew that that because of
[01:37:01] that, because what the founders said,
[01:37:02] what they articulated that that that
[01:37:04] that God created us, he's the one that
[01:37:06] gave us our inalienable rights. Charlie
[01:37:08] Kirk stood for the principle and he
[01:37:10] shared it everywhere he could. Our
[01:37:12] rights do not derive from the state or a
[01:37:15] king. They come from the king of kings.
[01:37:20] [Applause]
[01:37:28] Charlie also taught so effectively. He
[01:37:30] did it as well as anybody in his
[01:37:31] generation or possibly for many
[01:37:33] generations that the other principles
[01:37:35] that come from that what the founders do
[01:37:37] and when they put this country together
[01:37:39] this grand experiment in self-governance
[01:37:40] they understood that we are made in the
[01:37:43] image of God. And because of that,
[01:37:45] that's right.
[01:37:47] Because of that, Charlie knew and he
[01:37:49] believed it and you could see it in how
[01:37:51] he he advanced this ministry of his. He
[01:37:53] knew that because we're all made in the
[01:37:55] image of God, every single person has
[01:37:57] inestimable dignity and value. And your
[01:37:59] values are not related in any way to the
[01:38:01] color of your skin or what zip code you
[01:38:03] live in, where you go to school. It's
[01:38:04] irrelevant. Your value is inherent
[01:38:06] because it is given to you by God.
[01:38:08] That's what Charlie Kirk believed.
[01:38:10] That's what Charlie Kirk believed.
[01:38:19] If we could advance those principles
[01:38:21] that Charlie advanced, we'll be able to
[01:38:23] save this great republic. And that's
[01:38:24] what he was all about. But we should
[01:38:26] also adopt his approach. See, Charlie
[01:38:29] loved a vigorous debate, but he loved
[01:38:32] people more.
[01:38:34] Charlie, that's right. Charlie Charlie
[01:38:37] was never motivated by hate. I mean, he
[01:38:39] could clean the of anybody in a
[01:38:41] debate. We all know it. But you know
[01:38:43] what he did after those debates? He was
[01:38:45] always the first person to reach out a
[01:38:46] hand of friendship or to offer an arm
[01:38:48] around the shoulder of someone who he
[01:38:51] felt was lost. Because in many places,
[01:38:53] in many cases, the people he was
[01:38:54] debating were indeed lost. Not just
[01:38:57] philosophically, but spiritually. And
[01:39:00] Charlie knew the truth. And he knew that
[01:39:03] eternity awaits us all. We know exactly
[01:39:06] where Charlie is right now.
[01:39:09] That's right.
[01:39:18] Charlie had such faith and such such
[01:39:20] belief and he wanted to share that truth
[01:39:22] with others and what he was trying to do
[01:39:23] is pull people back from the abyss not
[01:39:26] just to save a country but to save
[01:39:28] souls. That's what Charlie Kirk was
[01:39:30] about and that that will resonate. It
[01:39:32] goes far beyond him. His legacy is
[01:39:35] immeasurable. I used to be a lawyer. I
[01:39:37] defended free speech and religious
[01:39:39] freedom and and all that in the courts
[01:39:40] and we tried to we talked a lot about
[01:39:42] advancing and preserving the free
[01:39:44] marketplace of ideas. I think Charlie
[01:39:46] Kirk offered more productive content the
[01:39:50] free marketplace of ideas than anyone in
[01:39:52] his generation and arguably in the last
[01:39:54] 100 years of US history.
[01:40:06] I could go on and on, but I'm out of
[01:40:08] time because you have a lot of great
[01:40:09] people to hear from tonight. Everybody
[01:40:10] has a story about Charlie and they're
[01:40:12] all worthy to be shared and I would know
[01:40:14] we'll be doing that for many days to
[01:40:16] come. I just leave you with a thought
[01:40:17] from Edmund Burke. It's attributed to
[01:40:19] him and Charlie knew this quote well. He
[01:40:21] was my friend. We talked about these
[01:40:23] things. He he reminded young people, all
[01:40:26] that is necessary for the triumph of
[01:40:27] evil is that good men do nothing.
[01:40:31] Charlie Kirk did so much in his short
[01:40:34] life that he spurred that on in other
[01:40:36] people. He inspired it in other people.
[01:40:38] And that message and that truth will go
[01:40:40] more boldly now than it did while he was
[01:40:43] here. It will go forward with power and
[01:40:45] strength. That's it.
[01:40:57] I've been asked to offer a brief word of
[01:40:59] prayer. So, if you would do that with
[01:41:01] me. Heavenly Father, we come to you
[01:41:02] tonight in sadness, but also with
[01:41:05] grateful hearts because we know that
[01:41:07] your truth endures. We know where our
[01:41:11] dear brother and friend Charlie is. We
[01:41:14] thank you that he is receiving his
[01:41:15] reward and that he's heard those words
[01:41:17] that we all aspire to hear. Well done,
[01:41:19] good and faithful servant. Father, help
[01:41:22] us to remember the principles of your
[01:41:24] word that Charlie worked every day to
[01:41:26] advance that we do not return evil for
[01:41:29] evil, but we overcome evil with good.
[01:41:33] And we pray that you bless our friend
[01:41:35] and brother's legacy that it goes on,
[01:41:39] roars on throughout the nation, that you
[01:41:41] pray and encourage and inspire Erica,
[01:41:44] the children, the the Kirk family, the
[01:41:46] the Turning Point staff and and all the
[01:41:49] volunteers and supporters and every
[01:41:51] student around the nation who is who is
[01:41:53] already connected to this organization
[01:41:55] and the 18,000 plus inquiries that they
[01:41:58] received this week for new chapters.
[01:42:00] Heavenly Father, we pray that you bless
[01:42:02] that in such a supernatural exponential
[01:42:04] way that no one can explain it, but that
[01:42:07] your spirit has been involved. We pray
[01:42:10] and believe all this. We commit our
[01:42:12] great nation to you in Jesus name. Amen.
[01:42:16] Amen.
[01:42:28] Ladies and gentlemen, the White House
[01:42:30] press secretary, Caroline Le.
[01:42:42] [Applause]
[01:42:48] [Applause]
[01:42:51] Good evening everyone. Good evening.
[01:42:53] Please be seated. Thank you so much.
[01:42:55] It's such an honor to be here behind a
[01:42:58] podium. I'm very comfortable behind
[01:42:59] podiums.
[01:43:01] And it's really comforting to be around
[01:43:03] so many good, faithful, God-fearing
[01:43:06] people at a time when I know we are all
[01:43:09] still mourning. We're confused. We are
[01:43:11] angry over the assassination of a
[01:43:14] legendary American and a friend to so
[01:43:16] many in this room and so many across the
[01:43:19] country, Charlie Kirk. The presence of
[01:43:22] God and he is a good God. As Erica Kirk
[01:43:25] so beautifully and powerfully stated, he
[01:43:28] is a good God. He is clearly present in
[01:43:30] this room tonight. You can feel the
[01:43:32] spirit moving and working in this room
[01:43:34] as we remember Charlie's life and his
[01:43:36] legacy. I have the honor of going to
[01:43:39] work every day at the White House as the
[01:43:41] press secretary for the 47th president
[01:43:43] of the United States, President.
[01:43:52] [Applause]
[01:44:01] And I repeat that because I would not be
[01:44:03] in this position if not for the heroic
[01:44:06] efforts of Charlie Kirk, who turned the
[01:44:10] political tide among young people in
[01:44:12] this country and helped usher in
[01:44:14] President Trump's historic victory on
[01:44:16] November 5th, 2024.
[01:44:18] [Applause]
[01:44:27] And I know that point has been said over
[01:44:30] and over by so many over the last few
[01:44:33] days, but it's because that point is
[01:44:35] absolutely true. President Trump's win
[01:44:37] in November was fueled in no small part
[01:44:40] by the tireless work of Charlie, the
[01:44:42] Turning Point organization that he built
[01:44:44] from scratch out of a garage, the true
[01:44:47] essence of the American dream, and the
[01:44:49] MAGA movement that he helped so many
[01:44:52] young people join. The important work
[01:44:54] that's being done every day right down
[01:44:56] the street from here at 1600
[01:44:58] Pennsylvania Avenue that I witness in to
[01:45:01] restore American greatness. It's
[01:45:04] happening in large part due to the
[01:45:06] blood, the sweat, and the tears that
[01:45:08] Charlie poured into this movement. Not
[01:45:10] just during the 2024 cycle, but all the
[01:45:13] way back to the founding of Turning
[01:45:15] Point 13 years ago. Charlie
[01:45:18] fundamentally believed in the potential
[01:45:20] and the promise of so many in this room,
[01:45:23] young patriotic Americans, and he
[01:45:27] inspired millions of us across the
[01:45:29] country to get off the couch and to
[01:45:31] enter the political arena to fight for
[01:45:34] our nation's conservative values. And I,
[01:45:37] too, was one of those young people. When
[01:45:39] I launched my campaign for Congress at
[01:45:42] just 23 years old during the 2022
[01:45:44] midterm elections, most people in this
[01:45:47] town, pretty much all of the people in
[01:45:49] this town of Washington, did not take me
[01:45:51] seriously. Charlie Kirk, however, did.
[01:45:54] Charlie and his political pack, Turning
[01:45:56] Point Action, immediately embraced me
[01:45:59] with open arms and endorsed my campaign.
[01:46:02] Charlie personally and his team would
[01:46:04] check in with me throughout the
[01:46:05] campaign. They asked how they could
[01:46:07] help. And when Washington super PACs
[01:46:09] poured money into the coffers of my
[01:46:11] opponent's campaigns, Charlie and
[01:46:14] Turning Point gave more me more to me to
[01:46:17] help me across the finish line. Charlie
[01:46:19] and his team flew me out to Arizona to
[01:46:21] introduce me to some of the biggest
[01:46:23] donors in Republican politics so I could
[01:46:25] fuel my race. Charlie welcomed me on
[01:46:28] stage to speak at the Student Action
[01:46:30] Summit in Florida, to raise national
[01:46:32] awareness for my candidacy, and to speak
[01:46:34] directly to young voters. And when most
[01:46:37] played it safe and stuck to the business
[01:46:39] as usual approach of the establishment
[01:46:41] Republican party that no longer exists,
[01:46:44] Charlie looked
[01:46:55] Charlie looked for the outsiders, the
[01:46:57] upand cominging truth tellers with new
[01:46:59] ideas who weren't afraid to challenge
[01:47:02] the status quo, just like President
[01:47:04] Trump whom he loved so much. And I speak
[01:47:07] on behalf of the president when I say
[01:47:09] President Trump loved you, Charlie, so
[01:47:11] much too.
[01:47:18] When the president appointed me as White
[01:47:20] House press secretary, Charlie was one
[01:47:22] of the first people to reach out and
[01:47:24] congratulate me with genuine sincerity.
[01:47:27] I still have that text from him, and I
[01:47:28] will keep it forever. Charlie Kirk was a
[01:47:31] maverick, an independent-minded person
[01:47:33] who had the courage of his convictions.
[01:47:36] When so many influential voices in our
[01:47:38] society are brainwashing young people to
[01:47:41] abandon our faith, to stay single, not
[01:47:43] to have children, and to bash our
[01:47:45] country, Charlie Kirk offered us an
[01:47:48] alternative path. Charlie embraced our
[01:47:51] Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and
[01:47:53] proclaimed the gospel boldly and
[01:47:55] proudly.
[01:48:04] Charlie preached a message of faith to
[01:48:07] all who would listen. He encouraged
[01:48:09] young people to get married and to have
[01:48:11] children. And as a young person who has
[01:48:13] done it, I encourage you to do that as
[01:48:15] well. It is the best thing in life. It
[01:48:17] is the ultimate legacy that we can leave
[01:48:19] and our most important mission on this
[01:48:21] earth. Charlie celebrated American
[01:48:24] exceptionalism and as you heard from our
[01:48:26] great speaker of the house, he firmly
[01:48:28] believed and he proclaimed that America
[01:48:30] is the greatest country in the history
[01:48:32] of the world. And that's why
[01:48:41] and that's why we must continue to fight
[01:48:43] to protect her. Simply put, Charlie was
[01:48:46] a beaming light in a world that is so
[01:48:49] consumed by darkness. It's going to take
[01:48:51] all of us in this room and all of us
[01:48:53] across the country to take up Charlie's
[01:48:56] torch because that's exactly what he
[01:48:58] would want us to do. We have to lean on
[01:49:01] our faith, dig in and fight back harder
[01:49:03] than ever before for the beliefs and the
[01:49:06] convictions that Charlie Kirk gave his
[01:49:08] life for. That's how we'll honor his
[01:49:10] family and that's how we will honor his
[01:49:12] legacy. If Erica Kirk, God bless her,
[01:49:15] could speak so powerfully in front of
[01:49:17] the entire nation just two days after
[01:49:20] her beloved husband was stolen from her
[01:49:22] and their two beautiful, precious
[01:49:24] children, then every single person in
[01:49:27] this room can rededicate themselves to
[01:49:29] the righteous cause of keeping America
[01:49:32] the greatest country in the history of
[01:49:34] the world.
[01:49:45] So, as I continue to step before the
[01:49:48] White House podium, I will continue to
[01:49:50] pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus
[01:49:52] Christ. But starting tomorrow, every
[01:49:54] time I take that podium, I will think of
[01:49:56] Charlie Kirk. I will remain inspired by
[01:49:59] his courage and his conviction, and I
[01:50:01] will continue to speak the truth as
[01:50:03] Charlie did so well. I will leave you
[01:50:05] all with a scripture that feels so
[01:50:07] perfectly written for the time we are
[01:50:09] in. Romans 12:21.
[01:50:12] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome
[01:50:14] evil with good. We cannot allow evil to
[01:50:17] prevail in our beautiful country. We
[01:50:20] must all commit ourselves to doing good.
[01:50:23] Good for God, good for our families, and
[01:50:25] good for our nation. In that order, the
[01:50:28] order that Charlie always spoke about.
[01:50:30] May God bless you and keep all of you in
[01:50:32] this room. Thank you.
[01:50:34] [Applause]
[01:50:44] [Applause]
[01:50:46] Please welcome the director of national
[01:50:48] intelligence
[01:50:50] gather.
[01:50:59] [Applause]
[01:51:14] [Applause]
[01:51:16] Aloha.
[01:51:21] In the book of Corinthians, Paul said,
[01:51:26] "Therefore, we are always of good
[01:51:28] courage."
[01:51:32] And know that while we are at home in
[01:51:34] the body, we are absent from the Lord.
[01:51:39] We are of good courage, I say, and
[01:51:41] prefer to rather be absent from the body
[01:51:45] and be home with the Lord.
[01:51:50] Ultimately for every one of us,
[01:51:53] the time that we have in this world is
[01:51:57] temporary.
[01:51:58] Our time will come sooner or later. And
[01:52:03] so the critical question that we have
[01:52:05] for ourselves is whatever time we have,
[01:52:09] what are we doing with it? How are we
[01:52:11] making the most of every day that we
[01:52:14] have?
[01:52:17] that Charlie Kirk every single day
[01:52:22] carried out his mission motivated
[01:52:25] by his faith in Jesus Christ and his
[01:52:28] unwavering dedication to defending our
[01:52:31] God-given freedoms enshrined in our
[01:52:33] Constitution and Bill of Rights.
[01:52:36] Because of his commitment and
[01:52:38] dedication,
[01:52:40] his impact here and around the world is
[01:52:44] profound.
[01:52:45] And it is a beautiful thing to see it
[01:52:48] playing out. Now,
[01:52:51] probably like many of you, I had the
[01:52:53] privilege of joining Charlie at some of
[01:52:55] his different campus visits and it was
[01:52:59] truly something to behold
[01:53:02] because he did things that no one else
[01:53:04] would do. As I sat with him in the very
[01:53:06] first time, huge crowd, thousands and
[01:53:08] thousands of yes, students, but faculty
[01:53:11] members and people of all different
[01:53:12] ages. And the first two or three people
[01:53:15] who had stood in line waiting to say
[01:53:17] something to Charlie were very kind and
[01:53:20] they thanked him for his work. They
[01:53:22] praised him. They talked about how he
[01:53:24] positively impacted their lives and was
[01:53:28] powerful to witness and to see.
[01:53:31] But Charlie wasn't there for praise.
[01:53:34] He would call to the crowd and say,
[01:53:37] "Hey, who here disagrees with me? Come
[01:53:40] to the front of the line."
[01:53:42] He listened carefully to everyone. Even
[01:53:47] when others in the crowd booed whoever
[01:53:50] was speaking, he told them to be quiet
[01:53:52] and to let this person speak, to show
[01:53:54] them respect. And he engaged in that
[01:53:57] lively debate. He encouraged it. He
[01:53:59] welcomed it. And he inspired it in
[01:54:02] others.
[01:54:04] Not belittling them, not arguing just to
[01:54:07] argue, but to have a real sincere
[01:54:09] dialogue.
[01:54:13] You know, I've said many times, and
[01:54:16] every soldier lives this fact, this
[01:54:19] truth. I may disagree with what you say,
[01:54:21] but I will defend to the death for your
[01:54:23] right to say it. Charlie lived by this
[01:54:26] principle.
[01:54:37] Charlie lived by the principle that no
[01:54:40] matter how horrible another person's
[01:54:42] speech may be, their ideas
[01:54:45] must be defeated by better ideas, not by
[01:54:49] resorting to violence.
[01:54:54] [Applause]
[01:54:58] You know, Charlie was killed on
[01:55:01] September 10th. On September 11th, we
[01:55:04] observed the 24th anniversary of the
[01:55:06] Islamist terrorist attack on our country
[01:55:09] 24 years ago.
[01:55:11] Now, these events have something in
[01:55:13] common. They were both carried out by
[01:55:15] those who hold on to ideologies that
[01:55:19] cannot stand up to scrutiny and
[01:55:21] challenge. So they feel that their only
[01:55:23] recourse is to commit an act of violence
[01:55:26] to silence those who oppose them and to
[01:55:29] intimidate and terrorize others into
[01:55:33] silence.
[01:55:35] This is the definition of terrorism.
[01:55:39] We cannot allow ourselves to be
[01:55:40] terrorized into silence.
[01:55:43] We need to live Charlie Kirk's example,
[01:55:47] the example that he set
[01:55:50] that are captured by the words of
[01:55:52] Reverend Martin Luther King. Darkness
[01:55:54] cannot drive out darkness. Only light
[01:55:56] can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate.
[01:56:00] Only love can do that. This was more
[01:56:04] than a quote from an icon in our past to
[01:56:08] Charlie. He lived this every day and he
[01:56:12] inspired countless people around the
[01:56:14] world to do the same.
[01:56:17] [Applause]
[01:56:26] And in the wake of this tragedy, this
[01:56:28] has been what to me has been beautiful
[01:56:30] to see how today and you know Sunday
[01:56:33] football games all across the country,
[01:56:37] these teams were leading moments of
[01:56:39] silence, putting pictures of Charlie up
[01:56:41] on the big screen, having a fly over
[01:56:44] with the flags flying at half staff to
[01:56:47] honor the impact of Charlie's life, how
[01:56:50] he positively inspired countless people
[01:56:55] and how it's up to us to continue
[01:56:58] Charlie's legacy. It's time for us every
[01:57:01] day in how we engage with others to
[01:57:05] choose to live aloha,
[01:57:08] love, respect.
[01:57:19] You know, from my home state of Hawaii,
[01:57:21] the reason why we greet each other with
[01:57:22] the word aloha is because of its deeply
[01:57:27] spiritual meaning. It doesn't actually
[01:57:28] mean hello or goodbye.
[01:57:31] We greet each other with aloha because
[01:57:33] what we are really saying when we say
[01:57:35] aloha is I see you as a child of God and
[01:57:40] I respect you as such.
[01:57:43] It is to recognize that God is all
[01:57:45] powerful and God's love is all powerful.
[01:57:50] Love is not weak.
[01:57:53] Respect for others is not weak. There is
[01:57:56] nothing more powerful than love.
[01:58:00] Living aloha, living that love and
[01:58:03] respect. It doesn't mean being a
[01:58:04] pacifist or rolling over when our ideas
[01:58:07] are challenged or when our freedoms are
[01:58:09] under attack. Actually, it's the exact
[01:58:11] opposite.
[01:58:13] It means standing up fueled by love to
[01:58:16] defeat hate, to defeat that evil and
[01:58:19] that darkness, and to speak the truth
[01:58:22] and defend our fundamental freedoms that
[01:58:24] are granted to us by God.
[01:58:27] Charlie lived this.
[01:58:35] Charlie embodied this. And Charlie
[01:58:38] changed hearts and minds of countless
[01:58:40] people around the world. because he made
[01:58:43] a conscious choice every day to choose
[01:58:47] love.
[01:58:49] I had a friend of mine who sent me a
[01:58:51] text
[01:58:53] um the day after Charlie was killed,
[01:58:56] really distraught,
[01:58:58] and she said, "What do we do now?"
[01:59:02] I know the answer should be love, the
[01:59:05] answer should be peace, but Charlie
[01:59:06] tried that and it didn't work.
[01:59:10] And my response to her was, "No,
[01:59:14] it did work powerfully."
[01:59:22] [Applause]
[01:59:24] [Music]
[01:59:26] And that's why they killed him.
[01:59:30] We look at the movement that Charlie
[01:59:32] inspired around the world. love, truth,
[01:59:34] freedom, turning to God in good times
[01:59:37] and hard times, not asking God what he
[01:59:40] will do for us. But as Charlie said,
[01:59:42] quote, I am far more interested in God
[01:59:45] in what God wants from me than what I
[01:59:47] want from God.
[01:59:50] He said, "My prayer is very simple. God,
[01:59:54] use me for your will."
[01:59:59] If only 10 of us committed ourselves to
[02:00:02] continuing Charlie's mission, that alone
[02:00:05] would be incredible. To be that
[02:00:07] fertilizer and that water that will help
[02:00:10] spread this light that is inspired by
[02:00:13] God's love.
[02:00:15] But there are far more than 10 of us.
[02:00:18] There are countless people,
[02:00:28] countless people around the world,
[02:00:30] speaking different languages, have
[02:00:32] different backgrounds, different views
[02:00:35] and opinions, who are eager to carry on
[02:00:39] Charlie's mission to spread this light
[02:00:42] inspired by God's love, which will also
[02:00:45] expose those who who are trying to shut
[02:00:48] down free speech, trying to silence us
[02:00:52] through violence, intimidation, and
[02:00:53] terrorism. It will expose them for who
[02:00:56] they are and the hollowess and emptiness
[02:01:00] and weakness of the ideas that they
[02:01:03] present.
[02:01:05] [Applause]
[02:01:14] So while we will miss Charlie dearly,
[02:01:19] our hearts should not be broken
[02:01:22] because we are confident that Charlie is
[02:01:24] at home with the Lord.
[02:01:27] Embrace in the loving arms of Jesus
[02:01:30] Christ to whom he dedicated his life.
[02:01:35] Those who are full of anger and
[02:01:36] hopelessness and hate right now, some of
[02:01:39] them protesting outside this hall today.
[02:01:43] Unfortunately, they do not have the
[02:01:46] spiritual happiness that Charlie
[02:01:48] experienced.
[02:01:51] They're empty. And this is where their
[02:01:53] anger is coming from. It is their
[02:01:55] rejection of God, their desire to be
[02:01:59] God. And therefore, they have made God
[02:02:01] their enemy.
[02:02:04] I have hope today
[02:02:07] that every one of us will do our best
[02:02:12] to shine the light of God's love in our
[02:02:14] lives and in our work. That we will
[02:02:17] treat each other with aloha respect
[02:02:22] and stand strong and unshakable in the
[02:02:25] defense of our God-given rights and
[02:02:27] freedoms.
[02:02:29] May God bless you all and may God bless
[02:02:32] this great nation.
[02:02:43] [Applause]
[02:03:00] Now joining us, the Secretary of Health
[02:03:03] and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy J.
[02:03:25] [Applause]
[02:03:44] Yesterday,
[02:03:46] my 17-year-old niece left for Europe to
[02:03:50] go to college.
[02:03:53] And while she was packing, her mother
[02:03:54] Amarillis, my daughter-in-law,
[02:03:57] noticed that she had put a Bible in her
[02:04:00] suitcase. And Amarillis was curious
[02:04:03] about it. And she asked her, and Zoe
[02:04:08] said to her, "I want to live like
[02:04:10] Charlie Kirk.
[02:04:21] There are millions and millions of kids
[02:04:23] around the country who he inspired who
[02:04:26] now want to live with Charlie Kirk and
[02:04:29] that's a great thing for our country. I
[02:04:32] met Charlie for the first time in July
[02:04:35] of 2001.
[02:04:37] I went on his podcast
[02:04:40] and I think we approached each other
[02:04:42] with a lot of trepidation at that time
[02:04:44] but by the end of the podcast
[02:04:46] we were soulmates, we were spiritual
[02:04:49] brothers and uh we were we were friends
[02:04:56] and over the next couple of years our
[02:04:58] friendship blossom.
[02:05:00] He ended up being the primary architect
[02:05:03] of my unification with President Trump,
[02:05:06] which I
[02:05:08] [Applause]
[02:05:18] [Applause]
[02:05:19] did my endorsement at his rally at the
[02:05:22] Turning Point rally in in Scottsdale.
[02:05:26] and he was the one who put the sparklers
[02:05:29] on the stage when I
[02:05:32] when I show he made a big show of it.
[02:05:34] But the the overarching
[02:05:38] mission of Charlie Kirk was Jesus but
[02:05:43] also free speech and he saw them as
[02:05:46] intertwined.
[02:05:47] He thought conversation was the only way
[02:05:50] we were going to heal our country. We
[02:05:52] had to learn to talk to each other was
[02:05:54] without vitriolo, without poison,
[02:05:58] without anger. We had to be listen able
[02:06:00] to listen to ideas. We had to be able to
[02:06:03] say what we mean without being mean
[02:06:08] and to talk to each other across this
[02:06:10] divide. The only way to end the
[02:06:13] polarization that's driven now by these
[02:06:16] algorithms and by all these other forces
[02:06:18] in our society.
[02:06:20] And that first conversation with him
[02:06:22] that I had, we talked a lot. We had a
[02:06:24] wide-ranging conversation. We talked
[02:06:26] mainly about the first amendment.
[02:06:29] We talked about the fact that our
[02:06:31] founders put freedom of speech in the
[02:06:34] first amendment because all the other
[02:06:36] rights are dependent on it. A n a
[02:06:40] government that can silence its
[02:06:41] opponents has license for any kind of
[02:06:43] atrocity.
[02:06:45] And
[02:06:54] We were we were specifically talking
[02:06:56] about what happened during the pandemic
[02:06:59] once the government figured out that we
[02:07:01] would put up with the censorship
[02:07:04] and they went after the entire
[02:07:06] constitution and immediately
[02:07:08] [Applause]
[02:07:14] they immediately took away our right to
[02:07:16] assembly. the first amendment right with
[02:07:19] social distancing regulations.
[02:07:21] They shut down the first amendment right
[02:07:23] to worship by closing all of our
[02:07:25] churches for almost a year and keeping
[02:07:29] the liquor stores open as essential
[02:07:31] businesses.
[02:07:33] They went after our fifth amendment
[02:07:35] right
[02:07:37] to pro our property rights. They closed
[02:07:40] down three and a half businesses with no
[02:07:42] due process, no trust compensation.
[02:07:45] They went after our seventh amendment
[02:07:46] right to jury trials by making whole
[02:07:49] categories
[02:07:50] of businesses that we could no longer
[02:07:52] sue no matter what they did to us. They
[02:07:55] went after the fourth amendment right
[02:07:57] the protection against unwarranted
[02:08:00] surges and seizures
[02:08:02] with all these social distancing
[02:08:04] regulations that made us have to produce
[02:08:06] our medical records before we went to a
[02:08:08] public building or an airplane or
[02:08:10] enjoyed other constitutional rights.
[02:08:14] And Charlie, more than any figure in our
[02:08:17] country, led the resistance that has
[02:08:20] restored freedom of speech to this
[02:08:21] country.
[02:08:32] And he built this movement, you
[02:08:36] which is going to make sure that that
[02:08:38] never ever happens again.
[02:08:49] You know, when I
[02:08:51] when my brother David died, I had a
[02:08:55] conversation with my mother who had been
[02:08:58] through more than her share of loss and
[02:09:00] tragedy. And I said, I asked her, I
[02:09:03] said, "Does the hole that they leave in
[02:09:05] you when they die, does it ever get any
[02:09:07] smaller?" and she said, "No, it never
[02:09:11] gets any smaller, but our job is to
[02:09:14] build ourselves bigger around the whole.
[02:09:17] We do that.
[02:09:25] We do that by taking the best virtues
[02:09:27] and character traits of the person that
[02:09:29] we've lost and using discipline and
[02:09:32] restraint and practice. Integrating
[02:09:35] those character traits into our own
[02:09:37] character. And in doing that, we make
[02:09:41] ourselves larger and the whole gets
[02:09:44] proportionally smaller. And we also give
[02:09:47] that person a kind of immortality
[02:09:50] because they are now living on the best
[02:09:52] parts of them are now living on in us.
[02:09:55] In one of my conversations and Charlie
[02:09:58] was a target-rich environment for
[02:10:01] virtues.
[02:10:02] We can all think of something
[02:10:04] extraordinary. his love of family, his
[02:10:07] love of God,
[02:10:09] his love of freedom of speech, his
[02:10:13] reverence for this country, his belief
[02:10:15] that we are an exemplary nation. We are
[02:10:18] unique in history. We're the only nation
[02:10:20] with this kind of constitution.
[02:10:23] In Europe, they don't have free speech
[02:10:25] anymore. We have it here. And we are the
[02:10:28] beacon for humanity for the rest of the
[02:10:31] world.
[02:10:44] and all of those visions, his vision,
[02:10:46] his mission to preserve those things,
[02:10:50] his kindness, his kindness in talking to
[02:10:53] people with whom he disagreed
[02:10:56] are all things that we need to learn and
[02:10:58] we need to integrate into our own lives.
[02:11:01] And as Tulsi said, we need to reach out
[02:11:04] with love to the people on the other
[02:11:07] side who are asleep and who are too
[02:11:10] frightened and too panicked
[02:11:12] and too controlled to understand what
[02:11:15] they are losing. And we need to protect
[02:11:18] those things until they wake up.
[02:11:21] And I had a conversation once with
[02:11:23] Charlie where we were talking about the
[02:11:26] danger that we both face from
[02:11:30] challenging entrenched interests. And he
[02:11:33] asked me if I was scared to die. And I
[02:11:36] said to him, "There's a lot worse things
[02:11:38] than dying." And one of those
[02:11:48] chief among us is losing our
[02:11:52] constitutional rights and and
[02:11:54] having our children raised in slavery.
[02:11:58] And
[02:12:00] [Music]
[02:12:05] I said to him at that time, I said,
[02:12:07] "Sometimes our only consolation
[02:12:10] is that we can die with our boots on. We
[02:12:12] can die fighting for these things."
[02:12:25] Charlie gave his life
[02:12:28] so that the rest of us would not have to
[02:12:31] suffer those fates worse than death.
[02:12:35] Now it's our job. He's no longer there
[02:12:38] to lead us to rush in and fill the beer
[02:12:41] breach and win this battle for our
[02:12:44] country, for God, and for our families.
[02:12:47] Thank you very much.
[02:12:57] [Applause]
[02:13:02] Please welcome the senior advisor for
[02:13:04] the US Agency for Global Media, Carrie
[02:13:07] Lake.
[02:13:18] [Applause]
[02:13:24] Oh, wow.
[02:13:26] Charlie, you can still draw a crowd.
[02:13:31] And uh I know that if Charlie were to be
[02:13:34] told, "Wow, you you filled up Kennedy
[02:13:36] Center tonight." He'd say, "It wasn't
[02:13:38] me. It was God."
[02:13:41] [Applause]
[02:13:43] God,
[02:13:45] [Applause]
[02:13:48] I miss Charlie.
[02:13:51] I will say that he would be he'd have a
[02:13:53] couple criticisms tonight.
[02:13:56] He'd say, "Where are the smoke machines?
[02:14:00] Where's the confetti?
[02:14:02] Where are the sparklers when Bobby
[02:14:04] Kennedy took the stage?
[02:14:07] Because Charlie knew how to put on a
[02:14:10] show to spread the message of Jesus
[02:14:13] Christ. He really did.
[02:14:21] You know what? There there's a in the
[02:14:23] book of Genesis, there's a Bible quote
[02:14:25] that says in so many words. I it it's
[02:14:28] actually a little easier to understand
[02:14:30] if I put it in modern language. What the
[02:14:33] enemy meant for harm, God will use for
[02:14:36] good. And God is using Charlie Kirk for
[02:14:40] good.
[02:14:49] I'm heartbroken about Charlie's loss.
[02:14:55] 31
[02:14:58] and somebody took his life.
[02:15:01] I got the call on Wednesday. I was
[02:15:03] working
[02:15:05] and a friend of mine called and said,
[02:15:06] "Is Charlie okay? I heard he was shot."
[02:15:10] Said, "Charlie who?" Couldn't have been
[02:15:12] charlie Kirk.
[02:15:14] And I got on, of course, I went to
[02:15:16] Twitter. Like, how many of you went to
[02:15:18] Twitter?
[02:15:20] went to Twitter and I saw a clip of
[02:15:23] people running
[02:15:26] and I thought that doesn't look good.
[02:15:27] That doesn't look good. I knew Charlie
[02:15:29] was starting up this this amazing
[02:15:31] movement where he was going to go campus
[02:15:33] to campus to talk about America and
[02:15:35] what's happening in America which is so
[02:15:37] amazing and so powerful and talk to
[02:15:40] people who disagreed with him, debate
[02:15:42] them. There's nothing more peaceful than
[02:15:44] that.
[02:15:46] At first clip I saw was of people
[02:15:48] running and I thought that looks bad,
[02:15:50] but of course everything's going to be
[02:15:52] fine.
[02:15:54] And then I saw another clip
[02:15:58] and it was Charlie being asked a
[02:16:00] question
[02:16:02] and out of nowhere an assassin's bullet
[02:16:07] came through the crowd and hit him in
[02:16:09] the neck. We saw his head. We saw the
[02:16:12] blood and we saw him go down.
[02:16:15] We've got to stop this, folks. We can't
[02:16:18] let this go on. This violence has got to
[02:16:20] stop.
[02:16:22] It's got to stop.
[02:16:30] And I'm not going to say our side is
[02:16:32] perfect, but damn it, this is coming
[02:16:34] from the other side.
[02:16:44] How does a 22year-old become so filled
[02:16:46] with hate?
[02:16:49] Five years earlier, I was told he was a
[02:16:51] Trump supporter.
[02:16:53] And we sent our kids off to college and
[02:16:56] they brainwashed him.
[02:16:59] I am making a plea to mothers out there.
[02:17:01] Do not send your children into these
[02:17:04] indoctrination camps. Don't do it. Do
[02:17:07] not do it.
[02:17:16] At one moment, that 22-year-old who shot
[02:17:19] Charlie was a baby in his mother's arms.
[02:17:24] And by all accounts, those parents did a
[02:17:26] good job raising him until he was sent
[02:17:29] off to be brainwashed.
[02:17:31] We have lived through the most horrific
[02:17:34] brainwashing campaign in the history of
[02:17:36] mankind.
[02:17:38] [Applause]
[02:17:44] And the very fact that we're all here
[02:17:47] means we have somehow survived it. We've
[02:17:50] survived it.
[02:17:55] But too many youngsters are not
[02:17:56] surviving it. And we got to stand up
[02:18:01] because some things are nonnegotiable.
[02:18:03] Our children's minds and futures are
[02:18:05] non-negotiable.
[02:18:16] Charlie Kirk came to my house several
[02:18:19] years ago with Erica. They had just
[02:18:21] gotten married. I remember asking him
[02:18:23] about their beautiful wedding rings that
[02:18:24] were hand they were they were made
[02:18:26] specifically for them. Matching w rings.
[02:18:29] Although I will say Erica had a
[02:18:31] beautiful cascade of diamonds around
[02:18:33] hers.
[02:18:35] Charlie, good job. You did a good job
[02:18:36] with that.
[02:18:38] And they hadn't they hadn't had children
[02:18:40] yet. And my children joined us at ta the
[02:18:43] table. And it happened to be the day I
[02:18:44] invited them to dinner. Happened to be
[02:18:46] by the grace of God the day that
[02:18:48] President Trump gave me my first
[02:18:50] endorsement from President Donald J.
[02:18:52] Trump, which is pretty special.
[02:18:56] [Music]
[02:19:00] Which, by the way, thank you Charlie for
[02:19:02] helping us make sure President Trump won
[02:19:03] this time. We got to give him some
[02:19:05] thanks for that.
[02:19:11] Charlie's 25 years younger than me. I'm
[02:19:13] not going to have you do the math.
[02:19:14] Please do not do the math. If I catch
[02:19:17] one of you with a calculator on your
[02:19:18] phone right now, I'm going to have the
[02:19:20] security guards take your phone.
[02:19:23] 25 years younger than me. And I was so
[02:19:25] excited through dinner. I kept saying,
[02:19:27] "I got the endorsement, Charlie." And he
[02:19:30] finally said, "Stop. Enough celebrating.
[02:19:33] Let's play. Let's make the next plan.
[02:19:36] What's the next step? And for two and a
[02:19:38] half hours, Charlie gave me the best
[02:19:40] political advice of anybody in the
[02:19:42] world. I mean, he better political
[02:19:44] advice than you could get from anybody
[02:19:46] who had 60 years on him. And then when
[02:19:50] he left, he said, "From now on," I
[02:19:52] thought this was great. He said, "By the
[02:19:53] way, from now on, your name isn't your
[02:19:56] first name isn't Carrie. Your first name
[02:19:58] is Trump endorsed and your last name is
[02:20:00] Carrie Lake."
[02:20:03] So use that everywhere you go.
[02:20:06] [Music]
[02:20:11] I know we don't have a lot of time.
[02:20:12] There's so many good speakers tonight.
[02:20:14] This is a battle between good and evil.
[02:20:16] I wish I wish we could compromise, but
[02:20:19] you can't compromise with evil. You
[02:20:21] can't compromise with evil.
[02:20:28] Charlie didn't go to college. My
[02:20:30] daughter didn't go to college and said
[02:20:32] she went and worked for Charlie Kirk
[02:20:35] and
[02:20:36] she quit about a year ago and Charlie
[02:20:39] said, "I heard Ruby quit." And I said,
[02:20:40] "Well, she's taking your advice. She
[02:20:44] wants to get married and start a
[02:20:46] family."
[02:20:48] And he said, "Well, that's a pretty good
[02:20:50] reason to quit." So,
[02:20:54] I miss Charlie already. I know all of
[02:20:56] you do. I know that you're comforting
[02:20:58] your children. You might be comforting
[02:20:59] one another, but I just ask us all to
[02:21:03] step up and be strong. Charlie had a
[02:21:06] shirt when he was taken from us. Do you
[02:21:08] remember what that said?
[02:21:11] Freedom. We can't have freedom without
[02:21:13] faith. And I believe that Charlie will
[02:21:15] live an even bigger life after after
[02:21:19] Wednesday than he would have before
[02:21:21] Wednesday. And I hate to say that
[02:21:22] because I miss him. But God is using him
[02:21:25] in such powerful ways. Charlie is not
[02:21:27] dead. He's got everlasting life. He's
[02:21:29] got everlasting life.
[02:21:31] [Applause]
[02:21:41] I tried to sleep in today and I and my
[02:21:43] beautiful, wonderful husband brought me
[02:21:45] coffee in bed, which is the best thing
[02:21:47] ever. Find a good spouse, please,
[02:21:49] everybody. If you're not married, find
[02:21:51] one that loves and supports you. And I
[02:21:53] was reading some I got on Twitter and I
[02:21:55] and I happened to one of the first
[02:21:56] things I saw was from Tyler Ber who we
[02:21:59] love in Arizona. He is Charlie's
[02:22:01] right-hand man at Turning Point Action.
[02:22:04] They're trying to put him in prison by
[02:22:05] the way
[02:22:07] because of his support for President
[02:22:09] Trump. So this fight is not over and not
[02:22:11] by a long shot. We're here today
[02:22:14] fighting because Charlie and many people
[02:22:18] before Charlie gave us the courage. But
[02:22:20] it's not going to be easy. If you think
[02:22:22] it's going to be easy now,
[02:22:24] if you're really willing to stand up and
[02:22:26] fight, it's really going to get harder.
[02:22:28] They're going to try to cancel you.
[02:22:30] You're going to lose friends. How many
[02:22:32] of you have lost friends? Raise. Keep
[02:22:34] your hand up. How many of you have been
[02:22:35] cancelled?
[02:22:37] How many of you have been lawfared? I
[02:22:40] need three arms.
[02:22:42] How many of you have been deposed,
[02:22:44] subpoenaed?
[02:22:46] It's not going to get easier.
[02:22:49] It only gets easier when we meet the
[02:22:51] Almighty in heaven. That's when it gets
[02:22:52] easier. But until we do, we've got to be
[02:22:55] up for the fight. Before I leave
[02:22:57] tonight, I want to read you something
[02:22:59] that that Tyler shared on Twitter. He
[02:23:02] said, "Please take the time to look
[02:23:03] through these posts." It was a woman who
[02:23:05] had said, "How many of you are going to
[02:23:07] go to church tomorrow because of Charlie
[02:23:08] Kirk?"
[02:23:10] And there were 805 posts as of Saturday
[02:23:14] night. Today, there were about 8,000
[02:23:17] posts.
[02:23:27] Charlie's going to be remembered for
[02:23:28] politics, but he's going to be
[02:23:30] remembered most for bringing people to
[02:23:32] God. Let me just read a couple of these
[02:23:33] because they they move me to tears
[02:23:34] today.
[02:23:38] I'm going to church because that's
[02:23:39] exactly where Charlie would want us to
[02:23:41] be, said one post.
[02:23:43] One post said, "My husband and I are
[02:23:44] going to try diving into this journey
[02:23:46] with our children for the first time
[02:23:48] ever since Wednesday when Charlie died."
[02:23:53] Another person said, "I just bought a
[02:23:54] Bible. I haven't been to church in 10
[02:23:56] years.
[02:23:58] My body hurts. My brain hurts. I need
[02:24:00] rest. And I only know one way to find
[02:24:02] it."
[02:24:04] Another person said, "I bought my first
[02:24:06] Bible on Friday. First Bible I've ever
[02:24:09] owned and I'm finally seeing the light
[02:24:12] of it.
[02:24:14] [Applause]
[02:24:22] How about this one? I haven't been to
[02:24:23] church, one woman said, since I was 10
[02:24:25] or 11. I'm 31. I'm heading to church
[02:24:27] tomorrow morning with my husband and
[02:24:29] kids.
[02:24:34] [Applause]
[02:24:37] I got to find the one I love the most
[02:24:38] because it was the first Bible verse I
[02:24:40] reread when I was 50. I can't find it,
[02:24:42] but I'll tell you what it was. Somebody
[02:24:44] said, "I bought a Bible. I just read the
[02:24:47] book of James, which by the way, I
[02:24:49] highly recommend. It tells you how to be
[02:24:50] a good Christian, and I'm going to
[02:24:52] church tomorrow."
[02:24:54] Charlie,
[02:24:56] we miss you.
[02:24:58] We love you.
[02:25:00] We're going to protect and stand around
[02:25:01] Erica. She's got an army of mama bears
[02:25:04] and papa bears and cubs around her.
[02:25:07] We're stepping forward and we're going
[02:25:08] to save this republic. You got us going.
[02:25:10] You gave us a voice. You gave us the
[02:25:12] strength and we're going to carry on so
[02:25:14] that we can find the freedom that you
[02:25:16] have. We love you, Charlie. We miss you.
[02:25:18] God bless you all.
[02:25:25] [Applause]
[02:25:37] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome
[02:25:39] Congresswoman Anna Pelina Luna.
[02:25:42] [Applause]
[02:25:55] I want to thank you all for being here
[02:25:57] today and start by expressing my deepest
[02:25:59] gratitude not just to those who have
[02:26:02] joined us here today, but to the
[02:26:03] millions of Americans who have poured
[02:26:05] out their love, prayers, and support for
[02:26:07] Erica, Charlie's family, and the Turning
[02:26:09] Point USA community during this
[02:26:11] heartbreaking time.
[02:26:13] Like so many of you, I'm still
[02:26:14] struggling to process the reality of
[02:26:16] Charlie's absence. It's hard to accept
[02:26:19] that someone so vibrant and so full of
[02:26:21] life is no longer with us. But in my
[02:26:24] heart, I know Charlie was not would not
[02:26:26] want us to throw in the towel. He'd tell
[02:26:28] us to pick up the mic, to keep pushing,
[02:26:31] and to carry his movement forward with
[02:26:33] unwavering resolve.
[02:26:36] I first met Charlie on August 5th, 2018
[02:26:39] at Turning Point USA's Young Women
[02:26:41] Leadership Sum Summit. I just left the
[02:26:44] Air Force and was working as a counter
[02:26:45] trafficking activist planning on
[02:26:47] attending medical school. At the time,
[02:26:50] Turning Point was a small organization
[02:26:52] with maybe a few hundred people at every
[02:26:54] conference. I vividly remember seeing
[02:26:56] Charlie walk through the crowd, young,
[02:26:59] wearing sneakers, of course, with his
[02:27:00] suits, yet radiating a larger than-l
[02:27:03] life aura. And when he passed by, I
[02:27:06] remember hearing people say, "That's
[02:27:08] Charlie Kirk."
[02:27:11] Even then, you could feel his energy,
[02:27:13] his vision, and his ability to inspire.
[02:27:16] That conference was my own turning point
[02:27:18] for me. It's where I met some of my
[02:27:20] closest friends, many of whom are now
[02:27:22] some of the most influential and biggest
[02:27:24] names in conservative and Republican
[02:27:26] politics.
[02:27:28] I also saw women I admired speak boldly
[02:27:30] about issues that mattered. And what I
[02:27:32] didn't know at the time is that Charlie
[02:27:34] and Turning Point USA was scouting me to
[02:27:36] become their national Hispanic outreach
[02:27:37] director.
[02:27:39] Charlie had this extraordinary gift of
[02:27:41] being able to recognize things in people
[02:27:43] before they realized it for themselves.
[02:27:46] In 2018, when young conservatives and
[02:27:48] Republicans were not being engaged by
[02:27:50] the GOP, Turning Point was ahead of the
[02:27:52] curve, and that was because of Charlie's
[02:27:54] vision and leadership.
[02:27:56] Not long after that summit, I received
[02:27:58] an unexpected phone call from Fox News
[02:28:00] inviting me on air. I never done
[02:28:02] television, and I had no idea how they
[02:28:04] got my contact. And after pressing the
[02:28:06] producer, I later found out that Charlie
[02:28:08] had pitched me to the network in an
[02:28:10] effort to advocate for me sharing my
[02:28:11] immigration perspective.
[02:28:14] That was always Charlie thinking about
[02:28:15] how to lift up other voices, amplify new
[02:28:18] perspectives, and strengthen the
[02:28:20] movement. He understood the challenges
[02:28:21] that we collectively faced together. And
[02:28:23] he knew that he couldn't do it alone.
[02:28:26] Shortly after that, I was literally
[02:28:28] preparing to go to medical school, bags
[02:28:30] packed, and I kid you not, 24 hours
[02:28:34] prior, I got a call that changed my
[02:28:35] life.
[02:28:37] Hey, Anna, it's Charlie Kirk from
[02:28:38] Turning Point USA, and I'd like to offer
[02:28:40] you a job as our national Hispanic
[02:28:42] outreach director.
[02:28:45] 24 hours prior, guys.
[02:28:48] That was my fork in the road. Was I
[02:28:50] going to continue on what I thought my
[02:28:52] path was or was I going to pay attention
[02:28:54] to God knocking at the door and showing
[02:28:56] me that there might be a different one?
[02:28:59] And so in about 6 hours, I decided that
[02:29:02] I would stay and help fight socialism on
[02:29:05] college campuses alongside Charlie.
[02:29:18] And that's where the real adventure
[02:29:19] began. I'll never forget our first
[02:29:22] tableling campus event. It was in
[02:29:24] Portland, Oregon. So, you know where I'm
[02:29:25] going with this.
[02:29:28] You may have seen the video. Charlie
[02:29:30] Kirk wearing an ice hat sitting at a
[02:29:31] table with a sign that read, "There are
[02:29:34] only two genders."
[02:29:39] As I sat there next to him, student
[02:29:41] after student approached the debate,
[02:29:43] often with heated emotions, but Charlie
[02:29:45] remained cool, calm, and logical. And
[02:29:47] one by one, no matter how controversial
[02:29:50] the question was, he would dismantle
[02:29:52] them with his reasoning. And that's when
[02:29:55] I realized something. Charlie Kirk did
[02:29:58] need college. College needed Charlie
[02:30:00] Kirk.
[02:30:11] Those college tours are some of my
[02:30:13] fondest memories. Charlie's work ethic
[02:30:15] was truly unmatched. only probably
[02:30:17] rivaled by President Trump. He'd be in
[02:30:20] on a different plane every day in a new
[02:30:22] city, at a new campus, all while
[02:30:23] fundraising, engaging in social media,
[02:30:25] appearing on different media outlets,
[02:30:27] and still running Turning Point USA.
[02:30:29] But yet, when he sat at that table or in
[02:30:32] the chair, ready to debate anyone, he
[02:30:33] was truly in his element, fearless,
[02:30:35] focused, and fully committed to the
[02:30:37] truth.
[02:30:39] I saw Turning Point grow from those
[02:30:40] early days of a few hundred attendees to
[02:30:42] conferences with thousands upon
[02:30:44] thousands of young people, all inspired
[02:30:47] by Charlie's vision. Turning Point
[02:30:50] wasn't just a nonprofit. It's a
[02:30:52] movement, a force for change to empower
[02:30:54] young conservatives to take a stand.
[02:30:57] Walking into Turning Point's
[02:30:58] headquarters for the first time, I was
[02:31:00] struck by the energy of young people,
[02:31:02] dynamic, creative, and passionate my
[02:31:04] age, were running the entire operation.
[02:31:07] They were making politics fun and
[02:31:08] accessible and impactful and Charlie had
[02:31:11] built something extraordinary and it was
[02:31:13] truly changing the political landscape.
[02:31:16] One day, Charlie and I were talking. He
[02:31:17] said, "Anna, you really need to share
[02:31:18] your story." He knew my background and
[02:31:21] understood the power of personal
[02:31:22] connection. He taught me that while
[02:31:25] identity politics was real, not everyone
[02:31:27] thought that way, and stories like mine
[02:31:29] could help combat the narrative.
[02:31:32] I remember one of Turning Point's first
[02:31:33] events at Mara Lago showing up and being
[02:31:36] next to this wonderful lady who was
[02:31:37] looking at him beam on stage.
[02:31:52] [Applause]
[02:32:04] I realized I'd been sitting next to
[02:32:06] Charlie Kirk's mom and how proud she was
[02:32:08] to see her young boy there.
[02:32:12] [Applause]
[02:32:18] I was already on social media, but
[02:32:19] Charlie showed me how to use it
[02:32:21] effectively, how to respond to
[02:32:22] headlines, especially those with false
[02:32:24] narratives, and how to win the argument
[02:32:26] with truth. Truth is the best
[02:32:28] disinfectant, he would say. And he truly
[02:32:30] lived by that principle.
[02:32:35] When I decided to run for Congress, I
[02:32:36] had no idea what I was doing. My own
[02:32:38] party worked against me, but Charlie was
[02:32:40] one of the few who backed me from the
[02:32:42] very beginning. Turning Point helped me
[02:32:44] knock doors and Charlie invited me onto
[02:32:46] his podcast to share my message. In a
[02:32:48] world where political alliances are
[02:32:52] often transactional, Charlie asked for
[02:32:54] nothing in return. To him, it was about
[02:32:56] saving our country and advancing the
[02:32:58] movement. He introduced me to some
[02:33:00] incredible people like Caroline Levit,
[02:33:02] who was running for office at that time
[02:33:04] as well. Charlie hosted us both at the
[02:33:06] Student Action Summit, and I often joke
[02:33:08] that Charlie's probably the only reason
[02:33:10] why I have friends.
[02:33:13] Some of the many people that I'm closest
[02:33:15] today I met through his organization and
[02:33:17] this movement.
[02:33:19] Charlie was more than a commentator or a
[02:33:21] show host or an online personality.
[02:33:24] He was a patriot in every sense of the
[02:33:26] word. He lived to preserve our nation's
[02:33:29] founding principles, not just through
[02:33:30] words, but through action. He did not
[02:33:33] just complain about the state of our
[02:33:34] country. He did something about it.
[02:33:37] Even as a private citizen, Charlie
[02:33:39] advised sitting members of Congress.
[02:33:42] During the 2022 speakers fight, he
[02:33:44] called me to check in and asked me what
[02:33:46] was going on. As I'm sure you guys can
[02:33:47] imagine, it was kind of chaotic.
[02:33:50] After explaining everything, he said,
[02:33:51] "Okay, just make sure that you guys know
[02:33:53] when to take the deal." All right.
[02:33:55] President Trump called me shortly
[02:33:56] thereafter and echoed the same advice.
[02:33:58] And that's the kind of influence Charlie
[02:34:00] had. Strategic, brilliant, and trusted.
[02:34:04] I remember discussing inherent contempt
[02:34:06] with Charlie. Charlie was fascinated,
[02:34:08] always eager to dive into the details
[02:34:10] and strategize.
[02:34:12] And I saw Charlie evolve from a young
[02:34:14] man tableabling on college campuses to a
[02:34:16] global leader where he remained humble
[02:34:18] and still driven. Whether at
[02:34:20] conferences, on video calls for media
[02:34:23] hits, or at Mara Lago, he was always
[02:34:25] Charlie, encouraging and pushing us to
[02:34:28] be our best.
[02:34:30] During this past election cycle, I saw
[02:34:31] him in Arizona at a campaign stop while
[02:34:33] I was campaigning with now Vice
[02:34:35] President JD Vance. He pulled me aside
[02:34:37] to share messaging tips as he always
[02:34:39] did. And of course, I took his advice
[02:34:41] because it always worked. Backstage, he
[02:34:44] was chatting it up with JD and doing
[02:34:46] what he did best, building a movement,
[02:34:47] one conversation at a time.
[02:34:50] The last time I saw Charlie in person
[02:34:52] was at the Student Action Summit in
[02:34:54] Tampa. I spoke on his show, addressed
[02:34:56] the students, and spent time with my
[02:34:58] friend. That day, I talked a little bit
[02:35:01] about the evil that we face in our
[02:35:03] world, a topic Charlie was passionate
[02:35:05] about. as he used his platform to reach
[02:35:07] millions not just to discuss politics
[02:35:09] but to share that his faith and point
[02:35:10] people toward God.
[02:35:13] Charlie Kirk will go down in history as
[02:35:16] one of the greatest political minds and
[02:35:17] activists of our lifetime.
[02:35:25] His
[02:35:31] impact places him alongside
[02:35:33] transformative figures like Dr. Martin
[02:35:35] Luther King, John F. Kennedy, and Robert
[02:35:38] F. Kennedy. Lead
[02:35:46] leaders who inspired movements,
[02:35:47] challenged the status quo, and fought
[02:35:49] for what they believed in. Charlie's
[02:35:52] legacy is not just in the ideas that he
[02:35:54] championed, but the countless of lives
[02:35:56] that he's touched, the voices he
[02:35:58] amplified, and the movement that he
[02:35:59] built. Though Charlie's no longer with
[02:36:02] us physically, his spirit lives on. And
[02:36:04] in my heart, according to the
[02:36:05] scriptures, I know that I will see my
[02:36:07] friend again one day. Since his passing,
[02:36:10] Turning Point USA has received the
[02:36:12] request to start over 32,000 new college
[02:36:15] campus chapters.
[02:36:18] [Applause]
[02:36:29] Churches are overflowing and young
[02:36:31] people across the country are asking how
[02:36:33] they can get involved. Charlie's legacy
[02:36:36] is keeping this movement alive and it's
[02:36:38] up to us to carry it forward. So, I want
[02:36:41] to leave you with the very same advice
[02:36:43] that Charlie gave me once upon a time.
[02:36:45] Share your story. Get involved. Join the
[02:36:48] movement. Help others. Run for office.
[02:36:51] But above all, keep the debate alive and
[02:36:54] pray. Truth will always prevail.
[02:36:58] To Erica and Charlie's family, you have
[02:37:00] my word alongside with every single
[02:37:03] person that was on the stage and
[02:37:04] millions of other of Americans,
[02:37:06] including some of the most powerful
[02:37:08] voices in Washington DC, that we will
[02:37:10] continue Charlie's mission. His vision,
[02:37:13] his courage, and his love of country
[02:37:15] will live on through all of us. Thank
[02:37:17] you and God bless.
[02:37:32] from the great state of Arizona. Please
[02:37:35] welcome to the stage Congressman Andy
[02:37:38] Biggs.
[02:37:45] [Applause]
[02:37:50] We are so fortunate to live in the
[02:37:53] greatest nation in the history of the
[02:37:55] world.
[02:38:00] And we are especially blessed to have
[02:38:04] lived the two greatest political
[02:38:06] movements
[02:38:08] of the 20th and 21st century. First of
[02:38:12] all, President Trump's MAGA movement
[02:38:20] [Applause]
[02:38:22] joined at the hip with Charlie Kirk's
[02:38:25] turning point movement.
[02:38:31] [Applause]
[02:38:34] They changed the trajectory of a nation
[02:38:39] and in so doing they changed the
[02:38:41] direction of the world.
[02:38:44] We thank them and I thank Charlie Kirk
[02:38:48] for his courage, his tenacity, his
[02:38:51] wisdom, his preparation.
[02:38:56] The first time I met Charlie,
[02:38:58] everybody's got one of those stories.
[02:39:02] My I have family members that have
[02:39:04] worked for him. I have I have nephews
[02:39:07] that have worked with him for eight
[02:39:09] years
[02:39:10] and I had not met the guy and but boy
[02:39:14] they sure told me how great he was.
[02:39:20] I met him and I said, "Behold the man
[02:39:29] [Applause]
[02:39:33] You remember Soljaniten
[02:39:36] who basically chronicled life in the
[02:39:40] goolog of the communist Soviet Union.
[02:39:46] He interviewed people and in that in
[02:39:49] that doc chronicle he quotes people time
[02:39:52] and time again saying the reason we fell
[02:39:55] to the communists
[02:39:58] is because we as a people forgot God.
[02:40:03] [Applause]
[02:40:11] This past week
[02:40:14] we rem we are reminded
[02:40:17] how real evil is.
[02:40:20] Evil is real
[02:40:24] and it occurs in a vacuum when we forget
[02:40:28] God.
[02:40:30] But we also
[02:40:32] have something very real happening to us
[02:40:34] as well.
[02:40:37] We know that healing
[02:40:40] healing in the name of Jesus Christ is
[02:40:42] also real.
[02:40:52] And so we've we've wept, we've mourned,
[02:40:55] we've grieved. And that will be for a
[02:40:58] short season
[02:41:00] because it is incumbent upon us to take
[02:41:04] the healing
[02:41:06] the healing balm of Gilead
[02:41:09] and march forward on the mission to
[02:41:13] complete the mission that we are on
[02:41:15] today which is to save this nation and
[02:41:18] in turn save the world. That's
[02:41:23] [Music]
[02:41:25] [Applause]
[02:41:29] That is the mission
[02:41:31] that Charlie Kirk
[02:41:34] undertook
[02:41:35] with confidence.
[02:41:38] We learn and are reminded if we didn't
[02:41:41] know before
[02:41:43] this week that we are eternal beings.
[02:41:50] Every person that comes here at some
[02:41:53] point the winds of immortality sweep us
[02:41:56] away in the sands of time.
[02:41:59] But each of us has left a mark,
[02:42:05] a trace,
[02:42:07] a track.
[02:42:11] None of us are eancent. We are all
[02:42:14] eternal.
[02:42:18] And Charlie has left for us a track.
[02:42:21] We love him. We embrace him.
[02:42:25] And we walk and join hand in hand
[02:42:27] walking that track to broaden it.
[02:42:35] You see the movement
[02:42:38] as Anna was talking about and others
[02:42:40] have talked about has expanded
[02:42:43] enormously already
[02:42:46] because it calls to the spirit.
[02:42:50] It speaks to the heart and to the brain.
[02:42:54] I loved I always did you watch the
[02:42:56] Oxford debates?
[02:42:59] Those are the best debates in the world.
[02:43:01] Smuggness,
[02:43:04] arrogance,
[02:43:09] defeated.
[02:43:10] [Applause]
[02:43:20] So, so as as uh we go and we're getting
[02:43:24] ready to to leave this venue,
[02:43:28] let us let us not leave anything behind
[02:43:33] other than our love for each other, our
[02:43:36] respect and love for Charlie,
[02:43:39] our love and concern for Erica and their
[02:43:41] beautiful family,
[02:43:44] our love for this nation,
[02:43:47] our love for our fellow Amen.
[02:43:56] We'll walk out with our preparation,
[02:44:00] a commitment to be like Charlie was. I
[02:44:03] mean, Charlie was always smart. He was
[02:44:06] the smartest dude.
[02:44:11] We will be eloquent and patient
[02:44:15] but firm and convicted in our
[02:44:17] principles.
[02:44:18] [Applause]
[02:44:29] And I feel
[02:44:31] to tell you this before I do this. Um
[02:44:34] Winston Churchill was an emotional man.
[02:44:38] I'm trying not to be like Winston
[02:44:40] Churchill tonight,
[02:44:47] but I feel impressed
[02:44:50] to share with you and join and Charlie
[02:44:52] in my testimony
[02:44:56] that Jesus Christ
[02:45:01] is the son of a living God.
[02:45:04] [Applause]
[02:45:13] He is my savior and your savior. He is
[02:45:16] my redeemer. He is your redeemer.
[02:45:23] And as and as the savior taught,
[02:45:27] no man cometh to the father but by and
[02:45:30] through Jesus Christ.
[02:45:33] We are eternal beings.
[02:45:36] Charlie's eternal.
[02:45:38] He rests
[02:45:44] in the in the bosom
[02:45:48] of our Lord and Savior.
[02:45:57] [Music]
[02:45:59] And I would I would suggest
[02:46:03] that each one of us
[02:46:06] now has an additional mission
[02:46:09] and the mission is to preserve the
[02:46:12] freedom of this country.
[02:46:15] The first amendment as
[02:46:18] as Secretary Kennedy talked about what
[02:46:20] it's not just about free speech either
[02:46:22] is it? It is about free speech so we can
[02:46:26] worship
[02:46:27] and that's what we want to do.
[02:46:31] And so we walk out of here heads held
[02:46:33] high recommitted to our mission
[02:46:37] preservation of freedom
[02:46:40] and understanding our relationship to
[02:46:43] God
[02:46:45] and Jesus Christ our our our savior.
[02:46:50] So
[02:46:55] [Applause]
[02:47:00] join me in wishing and praying that God
[02:47:03] will bless Erica.
[02:47:05] God will bless each of you. God will
[02:47:08] bless our great President Donald J.
[02:47:11] Trump.
[02:47:13] [Applause]
[02:47:18] God that God will bless this country,
[02:47:20] that it will endure
[02:47:23] until that happy day,
[02:47:26] and that God will bless Charlie.
[02:47:30] May Charlie rest in peace. And may us,
[02:47:33] each one of us, now go forward in the
[02:47:36] season of work
[02:47:39] and be happy warriors,
[02:47:42] always willing to do what we need to do
[02:47:46] to further the cause of freedom and
[02:47:49] justice. God bless all of you. Thank
[02:47:51] you.
[02:48:05] to offer closing reflections. Once
[02:48:08] again, please welcome Arizona State
[02:48:09] Senator Jay Hoffman.
[02:48:16] Let's hear it one more time for the
[02:48:18] entire team here at the Kennedy Center.
[02:48:22] Let's hear it for Ambassador Rick.
[02:48:25] None of this would have been possible
[02:48:28] without that entire team's dedicated
[02:48:31] commitment to honoring the life and
[02:48:34] legacy of Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk
[02:48:37] taught us that one man plus God equals a
[02:48:42] majority.
[02:48:44] It is our job to now carry on the torch
[02:48:48] that Charlie Kirk lit.
[02:48:51] That is faith in Jesus plus courage of
[02:48:54] conviction plus unabashed
[02:48:58] truth is how we will usher in the next
[02:49:01] 250 years of freedom like our founding
[02:49:04] fathers ushered in the first 250 years
[02:49:08] of freedom.
[02:49:14] Now, I have to give one shout out to all
[02:49:17] of those young 20somes and 30somes
[02:49:21] working at Turning Point right now with
[02:49:23] Erica Kirk at the helm with leaders like
[02:49:26] Tyler Ber and Justin Strife and Marina
[02:49:29] Mus and Amy Smith and all of the
[02:49:33] dedicated young people who are out there
[02:49:35] preparing to go to battle for truth to
[02:49:39] stand up and double down and triple down
[02:49:42] in the face of their founder being slain
[02:49:46] by an assassin's bullet. We are all
[02:49:48] Charlie Kirk now and let's join them in
[02:49:51] this fight. Let's carry the cause of
[02:49:54] freedom and let's honor Charlie Kirk
[02:49:57] once and for all.
[02:49:59] [Applause]
[02:50:01] Charlie, we love you. We miss you. But
[02:50:06] we will fight to continue your legacy.
[02:50:09] God bless you all for coming. Let's have
[02:50:12] some worship.
[02:50:13] [Applause]
[02:50:20] All my life you have been faith.
[02:50:24] [Music]
[02:50:27] All my life you have been so so good.
[02:50:35] With every breath that I am,
[02:50:39] [Music]
[02:50:41] I will sing
[02:50:43] of the goodness
[02:50:45] of God.
[02:50:47] All my life,
[02:50:50] all my life, you have been faithful.
[02:50:58] All my life you have been so, so good.
[02:51:06] with every breath that I am made.
[02:51:12] And I will sing
[02:51:14] of the goodness
[02:51:16] of God. Your goodness.
[02:51:21] Your goodness is running after. It's
[02:51:25] running after me.
[02:51:29] Your goodness is running after. is
[02:51:33] running after me
[02:51:36] with my life laid down. I surrender now.
[02:51:40] I give you everything.
[02:51:45] Your goodness is running after. It's
[02:51:48] running after me. Glory to your
[02:51:51] goodness. And your goodness is running
[02:51:55] after. It's running after me.
[02:52:01] Your goodness is running after. It's
[02:52:04] running after me.
[02:52:07] With my life laid down, I surrender now.
[02:52:12] I give you everything.
[02:52:17] Your goodness is running after. It's
[02:52:20] running after me.
[02:52:24] Now, could you go ahead and get out your
[02:52:26] phone with your light on it if you don't
[02:52:27] have a candle?
[02:52:29] We only have 500 candles and a lot more
[02:52:32] people.
[02:52:33] So, come on everybody, get your phone
[02:52:35] with your light. Come on, everybody. All
[02:52:36] over. On the top, on the bottom, every
[02:52:39] every light on
[02:52:40] [Music]
[02:52:42] all across America, churches were full.
[02:52:48] People showing up to worship Jesus.
[02:52:52] Spurred on by Charlie. Let's sing this
[02:52:53] out together. And I have decided
[02:52:59] to follow Jesus.
[02:53:04] I have decided
[02:53:08] to follow Jesus.
[02:53:12] I have decided
[02:53:16] to follow Jesus.
[02:53:20] No turning back. back.
[02:53:24] No turning back. Though none go with me,
[02:53:28] though none go with me,
[02:53:32] still I will follow.
[02:53:37] Though none go with me,
[02:53:41] still I will follow.
[02:53:45] Though go with me,
[02:53:49] still I will follow.
[02:53:53] No turning back.
[02:53:55] [Music]
[02:53:57] Come on, one more time. I have decided.
[02:53:59] Come on, sing it out. And I have decided
[02:54:05] to follow me.
[02:54:09] I have decided
[02:54:13] to follow Jesus.
[02:54:17] I have decided
[02:54:22] to follow Jesus.
[02:54:26] No turning back.
[02:54:30] No turning back.
[02:54:34] And no turning back.
[02:54:39] No turning
[02:54:41] back.
[02:54:44] Woo.
[02:54:46] [Applause]
[02:54:54] I just want to thank you all again for
[02:54:56] coming. All of us here. Um, everybody
[02:55:00] who had a part in this. We're so
[02:55:02] grateful to you taking the time to be
[02:55:06] here. You loved Charlie. You knew
[02:55:09] Charlie.
[02:55:10] And I just want to close in a prayer.
[02:55:13] Um, thanking the life of Charlie,
[02:55:16] thanking you all again, a special shout
[02:55:19] out and thanks to the wonderful staff
[02:55:21] here at the Kennedy Center, Ambassador
[02:55:23] Grenell for allowing us to do this in
[02:55:26] such a short amount of time. We could
[02:55:28] not have done it without so many amazing
[02:55:30] people. Um, and we're very, very
[02:55:33] thankful. This event was definitely
[02:55:35] God's event, and that's what Charlie
[02:55:37] would have wanted. So bow your heads,
[02:55:40] put up your hands, close your eyes,
[02:55:42] whatever you do, and we'll conclude this
[02:55:44] evening.
[02:55:47] Lord,
[02:55:48] [Music]
[02:55:50] we're thankful for the life of Charlie.
[02:55:53] As we close this memorial service, a
[02:55:57] service of praise and testimony to his
[02:55:59] life, we honor the life and legacy of
[02:56:02] our brother. Charlie often said that
[02:56:04] what he wanted to be remembered for was
[02:56:06] his courage and his faith. And Lord,
[02:56:09] you've answered those requests.
[02:56:11] And all those that knew him, they knew
[02:56:13] exactly that's how he lived. He faced
[02:56:16] life with boldness. He anchored his hope
[02:56:18] in Jesus Christ. His courage wasn't just
[02:56:21] about speaking truth or standing for
[02:56:23] what's right, but flowed from a deeper
[02:56:24] faith and knowledge in you. So Lord, we
[02:56:27] ask that as we conclude now, you would
[02:56:30] bless those that are here. If there are
[02:56:32] some that have never found this Jesus
[02:56:34] and this friend, have not known the
[02:56:37] relationship that Charlie knew with his
[02:56:39] savior, would you allow them to find
[02:56:41] that Jesus tonight? To accept into their
[02:56:43] heart a savior, a savior who died for
[02:56:46] them, who came to this earth as a man,
[02:56:49] lived perfectly,
[02:56:51] died, rose, was buried, rose again, and
[02:56:56] on the third day. Lord, he ascended.
[02:56:59] Lord, we're thankful that Charlie is now
[02:57:01] with his savior. We're thankful that
[02:57:05] um his his time is not done. His
[02:57:08] testimony and his impact will go on,
[02:57:10] Lord. So, if there are those here that
[02:57:12] have even strained from you, would you
[02:57:14] bring them back to you? Charlie would
[02:57:16] want that. He would want the glory to be
[02:57:18] back to his savior.
[02:57:21] As we go out now, Lord, will we never
[02:57:22] forget his impact. May we never forget
[02:57:25] the life that he lived. And may we take
[02:57:27] the courage. May we fight the fight like
[02:57:30] Charlie did. May we pick up the cross.
[02:57:34] And may we lead the charge.
[02:57:38] Lord, we ask these things of you. Bless
[02:57:41] us now. Give us safety as we go home.
[02:57:43] Thank you for allowing us to meet
[02:57:45] together. Thank you for your son. And
[02:57:49] it's in his name we pray. Amen. Thank
[02:57:52] you all.
[02:58:01] On behalf of tonight's organizers,
[02:58:03] speakers, and all who gathered here or
[02:58:06] viewed from afar, thank you for joining
[02:58:08] us in honoring the life of Charlie Kirk.
[02:58:11] May his legacy of faith, courage, and
[02:58:14] conviction continue to inspire us all.
[02:58:17] This concludes our services this
[02:58:19] evening.
