[00:00:00] Space Command headquarters will move to
[00:00:03] the beautiful
[00:00:05] uh local of a place called Huntsville,
[00:00:08] Alabama, forever to be known from this
[00:00:12] point forward as Rocket City. Okay. So,
[00:00:16] Huntsville, Alabama. We love Alabama. I
[00:00:19] only won it by about 47 points. I don't
[00:00:22] think that influenced my decision
[00:00:24] though, right? That didn't Right. But uh
[00:00:27] we had a lot of competition for this and
[00:00:29] uh Alabama's getting it. Huntsville in
[00:00:32] particular. So congratulations
[00:00:34] everybody. Katie, congratulations.
[00:00:37] >> This will result in more than 30,000
[00:00:39] Alabama jobs and probably much more than
[00:00:41] that and hundreds of millions of dollars
[00:00:43] of investment. And that's billions
[00:00:45] because it can't be millions. It's
[00:00:46] billions and billions of dollars. Most
[00:00:48] importantly, this decision will help
[00:00:50] America defend and dominate the high
[00:00:53] frontier as they call it. I want to
[00:00:55] thank Secretary Pete Hegsath. He's doing
[00:00:58] a fantastic job. And Secretary of the
[00:01:01] Air Force Troy Mink. Troy, thank you
[00:01:03] very much. Great job you're doing, Troy.
[00:01:06] This is such a a big deal. This is one
[00:01:09] that everybody wanted to know. What are
[00:01:10] you doing? I also want to thank Senators
[00:01:13] Katie, Britt, and I want to give my
[00:01:16] condolences. Your grandmother, her
[00:01:18] grandmother just passed away. She was
[00:01:19] 100.
[00:01:20] >> 100. And she loves you, Mr.
[00:01:22] >> Well, and and she was very proud of you.
[00:01:23] Thank you very much.
[00:01:24] >> Very very proud of you. So thank you
[00:01:26] Katie.
[00:01:26] >> Wonderful woman.
[00:01:27] >> She must have been to produce you
[00:01:29] indirectly. I can tell you she had to be
[00:01:32] uh Tommy Tubberville who's a great coach
[00:01:35] and uh I won't say anything about what
[00:01:38] happened with Alabama football this
[00:01:40] weekend.
[00:01:40] >> Let's leave that out.
[00:01:41] >> But you're not uh you're not used to
[00:01:43] that, right? You're not used to that.
[00:01:45] >> But Tommy uh Auburn won, right? They
[00:01:49] did. So you're happy. Tommy's been a
[00:01:52] great senator, as you know, and
[00:01:54] fantastic, fantastic guy all around. He
[00:01:56] was also a tremendous coach. House Armed
[00:01:59] Services Committee Chair Mike Rogers.
[00:02:01] Thank you, Mike. Where's Mike?
[00:02:04] >> Mike, thank you very much. Doing great,
[00:02:05] Mike. Uh, representatives Barry Moore.
[00:02:08] All great friends. Robert Adderhalt,
[00:02:10] Gary Palmer, and Dale Strong. Thank you
[00:02:13] all very much, fellas. We appreciate it.
[00:02:15] In my first term,
[00:02:18] we created and I created a thing called
[00:02:20] Space Force. So important, you know, we
[00:02:23] were losing the race in space very badly
[00:02:26] to China and to Russia. And now we're
[00:02:29] far and away number one in space and
[00:02:32] reestablished Space Comm with a mission
[00:02:36] to protect American space assets and
[00:02:38] detect any threat to our homeland. We
[00:02:41] initially selected Huntsville for the
[00:02:43] Spacecom headquarters. Yet those plans
[00:02:45] were wrongfully obstructed by the Biden
[00:02:49] administration
[00:02:50] and as you know they moved them to a
[00:02:52] different local and today we're moving
[00:02:55] forward with what we want to do and the
[00:02:57] place that we want to have this and this
[00:02:59] will be there for hopefully hundreds of
[00:03:01] years. That's where it's going to be. Uh
[00:03:04] I will say I want to thank uh Colorado.
[00:03:07] The problem I have with Colorado, one of
[00:03:09] the big problems, they do mail-in
[00:03:11] voting. They went to all mail-in voting.
[00:03:13] So, they have automatically crooked
[00:03:15] elections and we can't have that. When a
[00:03:18] state is for mail-in voting, that means
[00:03:20] they want dishonest elections because
[00:03:22] that's what that means. So, that played
[00:03:24] a big uh factor. Also, in Huntsville,
[00:03:27] Space Comm will play a key role in
[00:03:30] building the Golden Dome. As you know,
[00:03:32] that's going to be a big thing.
[00:03:33] Everybody wants to be a participant in
[00:03:35] it. missile defense shield. We're going
[00:03:37] to be having a golden dome that the
[00:03:40] likes of which nobody's ever seen
[00:03:42] before. The the finest, the best. And by
[00:03:44] the way, Canada called, they want to be
[00:03:46] a part of it, and that'll be great. But
[00:03:48] Canada wants very much to be included in
[00:03:51] that. And we're going to work something
[00:03:52] out with them. I hope it will also
[00:03:54] ensure that our techn technological
[00:03:57] capabilities of which we're way ahead of
[00:04:00] anybody else, there's nobody close,
[00:04:02] remain unmatched long into the future.
[00:04:04] So I'd like to ask Secretary Hexath to
[00:04:07] say a few words. He was very much a part
[00:04:09] of it. And really everybody behind me
[00:04:11] was every one of these people would call
[00:04:13] me and lobby me. I said, "Katie, I don't
[00:04:16] want to talk to you anymore. I know I
[00:04:18] know what you want." She said, "That's
[00:04:20] right, sir. That's what I want." And
[00:04:22] they got their way. So uh I just want to
[00:04:25] congratulate these are really special
[00:04:26] people. They're politicians in many
[00:04:29] ways, but they're great patriots, I
[00:04:30] think, even more so than politicians.
[00:04:32] So, they fought very hard to get it and
[00:04:34] it's an honor to give it to Huntsville.
[00:04:37] Uh, Pete, say a few words, please.
[00:04:41] >> Um, thank you, Mr. President. Uh, as
[00:04:44] usual, uh, right place, right time for
[00:04:47] the right reason. Uh, in your first
[00:04:49] administration, you established the
[00:04:50] Space Force at a time when we knew we
[00:04:51] had to be looking to that domain of
[00:04:53] space. You also reestablished Spacecom
[00:04:55] to ensure that priority was put in
[00:04:58] place. and you through the Air Force
[00:05:00] independently identified that
[00:05:01] Huntsville, Alabama was the right place
[00:05:02] to put it. Uh for other reasons in the
[00:05:05] next administration under Biden, they
[00:05:07] decided to move it somewhere else. Well,
[00:05:09] during that time, the DoD Inspector
[00:05:11] General, the government affairs office,
[00:05:13] they did their own assessments and where
[00:05:15] do they say Space Comp should go?
[00:05:17] Huntsville, Alabama. So, what you're
[00:05:19] doing today, Mr. president is restoring
[00:05:21] it to precisely where it should be based
[00:05:23] on what the Space Force, the Air Force,
[00:05:25] your leadership believes will give us
[00:05:27] strategic advantage in the future. That
[00:05:29] is Huntsville, Alabama. We we are we are
[00:05:32] way ahead in space, but this will ensure
[00:05:34] we stay leaps and bounds ahead because
[00:05:36] that's the most important domain.
[00:05:38] Whoever controls the skies will control
[00:05:40] the future of warfare. Uh and Mr.
[00:05:42] President, today you're ensuring that
[00:05:43] happens. Thank you.
[00:05:44] >> Thank you very much.
[00:05:45] >> Katie, would you like to say something?
[00:05:49] >> Mr. Mr. President, we are grateful uh
[00:05:51] for your leadership on this and
[00:05:53] restoring Space Command to its rightful
[00:05:55] home in Huntsville, Alabama. This
[00:05:57] delegation has worked together um both
[00:06:00] chambers, both parties to make sure that
[00:06:02] Huntsville was the place that Space
[00:06:04] Command called home. As was mentioned,
[00:06:07] obviously, the Biden administration
[00:06:08] chose to make this political. What we
[00:06:10] want to do is put the safety and
[00:06:12] security of Americans first. We want to
[00:06:14] make sure that our war fighter is put
[00:06:17] first. and we want to make sure that
[00:06:18] America continues to lead. And today,
[00:06:21] Mr. President, you've allowed that to
[00:06:22] happen. Thank you.
[00:06:23] >> Thank you very much, Tommy, please.
[00:06:26] >> Yeah. Thank you. Thank you, Mr.
[00:06:28] President. This is a great day for our
[00:06:30] country, not just for our state of
[00:06:31] Alabama.
[00:06:34] We need help in our military. We need to
[00:06:38] catch up. And as uh secretary has said,
[00:06:42] we uh we're not behind in space, but we
[00:06:46] know where we're at and we need to
[00:06:48] expound on that. Now, this move will
[00:06:52] save the taxpayers $480
[00:06:54] million.
[00:06:56] It's not going to cost more. It's going
[00:06:58] to cut $480 mill million. We have the
[00:07:01] plans intact. It'll be behind a secure
[00:07:04] wall in Huntsville, Alabama, Redstone
[00:07:06] Arsenal. We have 40,000 people there. We
[00:07:08] have the FBI there. We have missile
[00:07:10] defense there. We have NASA, Blue
[00:07:12] Origin, and uh uh SpaceX. It is the
[00:07:16] perfect place for space command. I would
[00:07:18] tell you today, and I again, I've spoke
[00:07:20] with the president for the last three or
[00:07:21] four years about this. If I thought it
[00:07:23] needed to go somewhere else because I
[00:07:25] understand the security of our country,
[00:07:27] I'd be for that. But the best place for
[00:07:30] space command is Huntsville, Alabama,
[00:07:32] because what we have and what it means
[00:07:35] to this country is going to be so
[00:07:37] important. So, thank you, Mr. President,
[00:07:39] for this and we look forward to building
[00:07:41] a huge space command and having the
[00:07:43] Donald J. Trump Space Command Center in
[00:07:45] Huntsville, Alabama.
[00:07:48] >> Absolutely.
[00:07:51] >> J say,
[00:07:53] >> Sure. Well, Mr. President, thank you.
[00:07:55] I'll be very brief here. I lobbyed the
[00:07:57] president hard to put it in in Ohio, but
[00:07:59] he said, "These people behind us, these
[00:08:01] Alamas are just too powerful and too
[00:08:02] persuasive." And so it's in Alabama, but
[00:08:05] but as Tommy said, this is exactly the
[00:08:07] right place for Space Force and Space
[00:08:08] Command. I think Americans ought to
[00:08:10] appreciate and ought to appreciate the
[00:08:12] fact that you can't win the battle of
[00:08:14] the future unless you control the skies.
[00:08:17] The cyber security, the communications,
[00:08:19] the entire infrastructure of the battle
[00:08:21] in the 21st century will be in space. So
[00:08:24] it was a visionary move in the first
[00:08:25] administration for the president to set
[00:08:27] up Space Force and I think an equally
[00:08:29] visionary move to make sure the Space
[00:08:30] Force is right where it should be in
[00:08:31] Huntsville, Alabama. Thank you, sir.
[00:08:33] Thank you very much.
[00:08:34] >> Uh gentlemen, anybody want to say
[00:08:36] anything? Would you like to say?
[00:08:37] >> Mr. President, another promise made,
[00:08:40] another promise kept. You think about
[00:08:42] it. Uh Redstone Arsenal is critical to
[00:08:44] national security. The president said uh
[00:08:47] when you were the 45th president, let's
[00:08:48] do what's right for national security.
[00:08:50] And today, that's exactly what we're
[00:08:52] doing. It's not because of this or that.
[00:08:55] It's because it's right for national
[00:08:56] security. You think of the 21 categories
[00:08:59] that were evaluated to determine what
[00:09:00] was best for national security. All
[00:09:03] indicators pointed back to Huntsville,
[00:09:05] Alabama and Redstone Arsenal. We have
[00:09:08] the right people at the right place at
[00:09:10] the right time. Mr. President, on behalf
[00:09:12] of the people of the fifth congressional
[00:09:14] district and all of Alabama, thank you
[00:09:16] for keeping your word. Absolutely.
[00:09:18] >> Thank you very much. Anybody?
[00:09:20] >> Let me just say, Mr. President uh want
[00:09:23] to say thank you uh and uh thank you for
[00:09:25] doing this because it was the right
[00:09:27] thing to do. All the uh when they looked
[00:09:30] at all the the numbers, Huntsville was
[00:09:32] the place to go and like you say, it was
[00:09:35] unfortunately pulled out, but you made
[00:09:37] it right. So, I want to just say thank
[00:09:39] you again uh for a grateful nation and
[00:09:41] to the state of Alabama. We're very
[00:09:43] grateful. Thank you and God bless.
[00:09:44] >> Thank you very much.
[00:09:45] >> Thank you.
[00:09:45] >> Thank you very much.
[00:09:50] >> Thank you, Mr. president. Uh throughout
[00:09:52] history, militaries has always
[00:09:53] understood that whoever could hold the
[00:09:55] high ground held the advantage. Space is
[00:09:58] the ultimate high ground. And what we're
[00:10:00] doing with moving the space command to
[00:10:02] Huntsville is absolutely critical to our
[00:10:04] maintaining dominance in that sphere.
[00:10:07] And it goes handinhand with what we're
[00:10:08] trying to do with the Golden Dome and
[00:10:10] Missile Defense to defend against anyone
[00:10:12] else who tries to enter that sphere. So,
[00:10:14] thank you, Mr. President.
[00:10:14] >> Thank you very much.
[00:10:16] >> Please go ahead.
[00:10:18] >> Thank you, Mr. President. And obviously
[00:10:20] national defense is a huge issue and
[00:10:21] when you look at the scores Alabama was
[00:10:23] number one and for political reasons it
[00:10:24] was moved out of our state. But Mr.
[00:10:27] President thank you for making
[00:10:28] priorities the defense and the war
[00:10:29] fighter and the safety of this nation
[00:10:31] and in the big beautiful bill that
[00:10:32] golden dome will be built in Huntsville,
[00:10:34] Alabama and we're grateful for that.
[00:10:35] Thank you.
[00:10:39] Listen, I u as chairman of the armed
[00:10:41] services committee, I care very much
[00:10:43] about what's most important for our
[00:10:45] national security. And the president
[00:10:48] held a nationwide competition to
[00:10:50] determine where we should have this
[00:10:52] command. If y'all will remember at the
[00:10:54] end of that competition where Alabama
[00:10:56] came in first, there was a lot of
[00:10:57] complaints from the other states who did
[00:11:00] not place well. He said, "We'll do it
[00:11:02] over with new criteria to accommodate
[00:11:04] your concerns. Alabama came in first in
[00:11:07] that second competition. His Secretary
[00:11:10] of the Air Force reviewed the results,
[00:11:12] said it was fair, and the president
[00:11:14] named Huntsville. It was the Biden
[00:11:16] administration that decided to make it
[00:11:19] political, even though his own Secretary
[00:11:22] of the Air Force said it was a fair
[00:11:24] competition and it should be in
[00:11:25] Huntsville. So, I want you to know I
[00:11:27] appreciate this president standing up
[00:11:29] and being strong and saying he's going
[00:11:30] to make this right and put it where it
[00:11:31] rightfully belongs. That's Huntsville,
[00:11:33] Alabama.
[00:11:34] >> Thank you very much. Good job.
[00:11:35] Appreciate it.
[00:11:37] >> So, thank you all very much. Uh, you are
[00:11:40] going to leave me alone now. You're not
[00:11:41] going to call me anymore and talk about
[00:11:43] this subject, right? You promise?
[00:11:46] >> They'll start something else. But I just
[00:11:49] want to congratulate you. It's a very
[00:11:51] big deal. When you come out and when you
[00:11:53] leave the room, you'll see that we just
[00:11:56] uh over the last few minutes literally
[00:11:58] shot out a
[00:12:00] a boat, a drug carrying boat, a lot of
[00:12:02] drugs in that boat. And you'll be seeing
[00:12:05] that and you'll be reading about that.
[00:12:08] It just happened moments ago. And uh our
[00:12:12] great general head of the joint chiefs
[00:12:14] of staff who's been so uh incredible,
[00:12:18] including what took place in Iran,
[00:12:21] knocking out uh potential nuclear power
[00:12:25] for long time to come. I think within a
[00:12:27] month they would have had it. We didn't
[00:12:28] do what we did. But he gave us a little
[00:12:31] bit of a uh briefing
[00:12:34] and you'll see and there's more where
[00:12:35] that came from. Uh we have a lot of
[00:12:38] drugs pouring into our country coming in
[00:12:40] for a long time and we just uh these
[00:12:42] came out of Venezuela and coming out
[00:12:45] very heavily from Venezuela. A lot of
[00:12:47] things are coming out of Venezuela. So
[00:12:49] uh we took it out and you'll get to see
[00:12:51] that after this uh after this meeting is
[00:12:54] over. Do you have any questions please?
[00:12:57] >> Yeah, please.
[00:12:58] >> Thank you, Mr. President. Uh, Senator
[00:12:59] Cber talked about the cost savings
[00:13:02] associated with this announcement. Can
[00:13:05] you talk about the strategic benefits by
[00:13:08] having Space Force Command headquartered
[00:13:10] in Huntsville?
[00:13:11] >> Well, it just works because we have so
[00:13:13] much else there and having a central,
[00:13:16] you could call it a central command, but
[00:13:17] it really is a command station. also
[00:13:20] even locationally where it is and uh
[00:13:23] when you think about flying distances if
[00:13:25] you can save a half an hour as fast as
[00:13:27] some of these planes go and things go
[00:13:29] and even the rockets go if you can save
[00:13:32] by having the best location so uh we
[00:13:34] went out as you know to experts and we
[00:13:37] had four different groups come of
[00:13:39] experts they all said this was the best
[00:13:41] location I also loved it from the
[00:13:44] standpoint I know the people of Alabama
[00:13:45] they are great people work hard and
[00:13:48] there's no games and they're very proud
[00:13:49] of it. And I would say they fought
[00:13:51] harder for it than anybody else. Also, a
[00:13:53] lot of states, five states really wanted
[00:13:55] it, but they wanted it more. And I I kid
[00:13:59] you not when I say that these people,
[00:14:02] they spoke to me a lot. That's all they
[00:14:04] wanted to talk about. They didn't want
[00:14:06] to talk about the weather. They only
[00:14:08] wanted to talk about moving to this
[00:14:10] location, moving to Alabama, Huntsville
[00:14:12] in particular. So, uh, we're honored to
[00:14:15] do it. They really wanted it badly and
[00:14:16] they got it. Peter,
[00:14:17] >> President Trump, something completely
[00:14:19] different, but about a big viral social
[00:14:21] media trend over the weekend. How did
[00:14:23] you find out over the weekend that you
[00:14:26] were dead?
[00:14:28] >> Did you see that?
[00:14:29] >> No.
[00:14:29] >> People didn't see you for a couple days.
[00:14:31] 1.3 million user engagements as of
[00:14:33] Saturday morning about your demise.
[00:14:36] >> Really?
[00:14:36] >> I didn't see that.
[00:14:37] >> You know, I have heard it's sort of
[00:14:39] crazy, but last week I did numerous news
[00:14:42] conferences, all successful. They went
[00:14:44] very well. Like this is going very well.
[00:14:46] And then I didn't do any for two days
[00:14:49] and they said there must be something
[00:14:51] wrong with him. Biden wouldn't do him
[00:14:53] for months. You wouldn't see him. And
[00:14:55] nobody ever said there was ever anything
[00:14:57] wrong with him. And we know he wasn't in
[00:14:59] the greatest of shape. No, I heard that.
[00:15:01] I I get reports. Now, you knew I did an
[00:15:04] interview that lasted for about an hour
[00:15:06] and a half with somebody and everybody
[00:15:08] saw that was on one of your competitors.
[00:15:11] Uh I did numerous uh shows and also did
[00:15:14] a number of truths, long truths, I think
[00:15:17] pretty poignant truths. No, I was very
[00:15:19] active over the week and they also knew
[00:15:21] I went out to visit some people at the
[00:15:23] at the club that I own pretty nearby on
[00:15:26] the Ptoac River. And no, I've been very
[00:15:29] active actually over the weekend. I
[00:15:31] didn't hear that one. That's pretty
[00:15:32] serious stuff.
[00:15:33] >> It's I'm glad it's
[00:15:34] >> Well, it's fake news, you know. It's
[00:15:35] just so it's so fake. That's why the the
[00:15:38] media has so little credibility. I
[00:15:41] didn't I knew they were saying like is
[00:15:44] he okay? How's he feeling? What's wrong?
[00:15:46] I said I just left and it's also sort of
[00:15:49] a longer weekend. You know, it's Labor
[00:15:51] Day weekend. So, I would say a lot of
[00:15:53] people No, I was very active this Labor
[00:15:55] Day. I had heard that, but I didn't hear
[00:15:57] it to that extent. Go ahead, Peter.
[00:15:58] >> Something else. Uh we know that this
[00:16:00] country has a huge problem with school
[00:16:02] shootings. You have said that you were
[00:16:04] open to sending the National Guard
[00:16:05] pretty much anywhere. Would you ever
[00:16:07] consider sending an armed national
[00:16:09] guardsman to every school?
[00:16:12] >> Well, we have a big problem with school
[00:16:14] shooting, but we also have thousands and
[00:16:18] thousands of schools that run perfectly.
[00:16:21] You know, they talk about you can do
[00:16:23] things construction-wise and uh that's
[00:16:26] uh that's really I I there's I think
[00:16:28] nobody knows more about construction
[00:16:30] than me. You can build the construction
[00:16:31] doors. You can build the what they call
[00:16:33] safety doors with a lock on the outside,
[00:16:36] the inside, and every place else. Well,
[00:16:38] but if one of these lunatics happens to
[00:16:40] get through, then the police can't get
[00:16:42] in, then they're looking for keys all
[00:16:45] over the place, and it takes a lot of a
[00:16:47] lot of disadvantages to doing, you know,
[00:16:50] spending billions and billions of
[00:16:52] dollars and actually making it safer in
[00:16:54] some way for some of these lunatics that
[00:16:56] we're dealing with. But, uh, I don't
[00:16:59] think so. I you know I've I've thrown
[00:17:01] out the concept we have great teachers
[00:17:02] that love our children the parents love
[00:17:04] the children teachers love the children
[00:17:06] too and if you took a small percentage
[00:17:08] of those teachers that were in the
[00:17:10] military that were distinguished in the
[00:17:12] military that were in the national guard
[00:17:14] etc etc and uh you let them carry that's
[00:17:19] something that a lot of people like I
[00:17:20] sort of liked it that have to be studied
[00:17:23] but they're trained uh they've they know
[00:17:26] about weapons you can't do it with every
[00:17:29] teacher because most teachers don't know
[00:17:30] and you know but I I always thought that
[00:17:32] would be an alternative uh but it just
[00:17:35] we've we've had uh a lot of instances
[00:17:40] other countries have also they have
[00:17:41] different kinds of problems than we have
[00:17:43] but we do have uh there's there's
[00:17:45] something going on something going on
[00:17:48] and it's uh it's a bad thing yes please
[00:17:51] >> spoken with President Putin in the past
[00:17:52] week have you spoken with President
[00:17:54] Putin in the past
[00:17:55] >> yeah I don't want to I I have I have uh
[00:17:58] learned learn things that will be very
[00:18:00] interesting. I think in the next few
[00:18:01] days you'll find out.
[00:18:02] >> Will there be any consequences if there
[00:18:04] isn't some type of announcement of a
[00:18:06] meeting with President Putin and
[00:18:08] President Zilinski? And what could those
[00:18:10] consequences?
[00:18:10] >> We're going to see what happens. We're
[00:18:11] going to see what they do and what
[00:18:12] happens. I'm watching it very closely.
[00:18:15] Last week, they lost 7,000 between the
[00:18:17] two countries, 7,
[00:18:19] 313 soldiers to be somewhat exact uh for
[00:18:25] no reason whatsoever. and they're
[00:18:27] Russian and they're Ukrainian, but you
[00:18:29] know, they're soldiers. I want to see it
[00:18:31] end. Yeah.
[00:18:31] >> Mr. President, have you decided you're
[00:18:33] definitely going to send National Guard
[00:18:35] troops to Chicago?
[00:18:36] >> Uh, I didn't say when, but the answer
[00:18:39] is, look, Chicago is very interesting
[00:18:42] because I watched Pritskar get up and
[00:18:43] say about we don't need help. We're
[00:18:45] safe. But two weeks ago, they had six
[00:18:49] people murdered murdered and they had 24
[00:18:53] people hit by bullets. Uh last week, as
[00:18:56] you know, it was seven people. 24 people
[00:18:59] hit and seven people died. And then over
[00:19:03] the last two days, it was the that was
[00:19:05] the the crown jewel. They had I guess
[00:19:08] nine killed, nine or 10 killed, and 50
[00:19:11] hit with bullets. And you have this
[00:19:14] governor, Get Up, who's a terrible
[00:19:16] governor. Probably he and Gavin Nuskum
[00:19:20] would be probably the two worst and most
[00:19:22] naive. They're naive. either they're
[00:19:24] naive or they're very untruthful and
[00:19:27] he'll say we don't want any protection
[00:19:30] we don't need. So in the last three
[00:19:32] weeks he's lost almost 20 people killed.
[00:19:36] There's no place there's no place in the
[00:19:38] world including you can go to
[00:19:40] Afghanistan. You can go to places that
[00:19:43] you would think of. They don't even come
[00:19:45] close to this. Chicago is a hell hole
[00:19:48] right now. Baltimore is a hell hole
[00:19:50] right now. Parts of Los Angeles are
[00:19:53] terrible. If we didn't put out the
[00:19:54] fires, and I mean the other fires, the
[00:19:57] bullet fires, uh they didn't do a good
[00:19:59] job with they should have had the water
[00:20:01] coming down. Like I said, you know, we
[00:20:02] had to release the water. We had to go
[00:20:04] in and release the water to LA. It's so
[00:20:07] badly run. But if we didn't get if I
[00:20:09] didn't send the National Guard into Los
[00:20:11] Angeles, you wouldn't I would be making
[00:20:13] an announcement today. I'd be talking
[00:20:14] about Huntsville and I'd simultaneously
[00:20:17] be saying, "By the way, the Olympics is
[00:20:19] not coming to Los Angeles." If we didn't
[00:20:22] do that, if we didn't do that, and even
[00:20:24] the sheriff, the the top law enforcement
[00:20:26] person in Los Angeles said, "We could
[00:20:30] not have handled it without them." So
[00:20:32] that's what he said.
[00:20:33] >> You made your mind up on Chicago,
[00:20:35] though.
[00:20:36] >> Well, we're going in. I didn't say when.
[00:20:38] We're going in. When you lose, look, I
[00:20:40] have an obligation. This isn't a
[00:20:41] political thing. Uh, I have an
[00:20:44] obligation when we lose when 20 people
[00:20:46] are killed over the last two and a half
[00:20:48] weeks and 75 are shot with bullets. So,
[00:20:54] let me tell you a little story about a
[00:20:55] place called DC,
[00:20:57] District of Columbia, right here where
[00:20:59] we are. It's now a safe zone. We have no
[00:21:03] crime. We have It's in such great shape.
[00:21:06] You can go and actually walk with your
[00:21:08] children, your wife, your husband. You
[00:21:10] can walk right down the middle of the
[00:21:12] street. You're not going to be shot,
[00:21:13] Peter. You're safe. Everyone likes you
[00:21:16] anyway. They probably wouldn't do it,
[00:21:18] but but it's so dangerous. And there are
[00:21:21] people in this audience that have you've
[00:21:23] suffered greatly. Uh there are people in
[00:21:25] this audience that have been mugged and
[00:21:27] hurt badly and they don't want to talk
[00:21:30] about it. Maybe you were very brave in
[00:21:32] talking about it. You made quite an
[00:21:33] impression on a lot of people. I
[00:21:35] appreciate it. But there were other
[00:21:37] people in this room that got have been
[00:21:38] hurt very badly just walking down the
[00:21:40] street in DC.
[00:21:42] Washington DC is a safe zone right now.
[00:21:45] It's a safe city. The restaurants are
[00:21:48] open. They're booming. You can't get a
[00:21:50] restaurant. New restaurants are
[00:21:52] announcing that they're going to be
[00:21:53] open. This took place in 12 days. Now
[00:21:56] it's 15 days, but three days ago, it
[00:21:59] became what's known as a safe zone. It's
[00:22:01] a safe city. And this city was really
[00:22:04] bad. Really, really bad. We took 1,600
[00:22:07] people out. hardcore criminals that will
[00:22:10] not be coming back anytime soon. And uh
[00:22:14] we're very proud of it. You know, to
[00:22:16] have our nation's capital lose
[00:22:20] every week, you know, it was like years,
[00:22:22] many years where every single week
[00:22:25] somebody was killed for many, many, many
[00:22:28] consecutive weeks. This went on for
[00:22:30] years. And then we had last week it was
[00:22:33] announced that nobody was killed last
[00:22:36] week. And I made that announcement in
[00:22:38] front of a very distinguished leader of
[00:22:39] a country and I'm saying proudly, uh,
[00:22:43] ladies and gentlemen, nobody was killed
[00:22:45] in Washington DC this week. He looked at
[00:22:47] me like,
[00:22:48] was that what's that all about? I say,
[00:22:51] yeah, we have a little bit of a crime
[00:22:52] problem and we don't have a crime
[00:22:54] problem in Washington anymore. And the
[00:22:56] mayor has been very helpful and the
[00:22:58] police commission has been very helpful
[00:23:00] and it's been a great team. And I would
[00:23:02] love to have uh Governor Pritska call
[00:23:05] me. I'd gain respect for him and say we
[00:23:08] do have a problem and we'd love you to
[00:23:10] send in the troops because you know what
[00:23:12] the people they have to be protected. I
[00:23:15] saw it today on one of your networks,
[00:23:17] not a friendly network,
[00:23:19] exactly the opposite, I would say, very
[00:23:22] unfriendly network. And they interviewed
[00:23:24] about 12 people on this morning. Uh most
[00:23:29] of them were AfricanAmerican who were
[00:23:31] black and they were saying, "Please,
[00:23:34] please, please let the president send
[00:23:37] in." These were people from Chicago.
[00:23:39] Please, we need help. We need help. We
[00:23:42] can't walk outside. We're petrified. If
[00:23:44] the governor of Illinois would call up,
[00:23:47] call me up. I would love to do it. Now,
[00:23:50] we're going to do it anyway. We have the
[00:23:52] right to do it because I have an
[00:23:54] obligation to protect this country. And
[00:23:56] that includes Baltimore. I saw where
[00:23:59] Governor Moore was uh asking me to take
[00:24:02] a walk down the street of Baltimore.
[00:24:03] Well, Baltimore is a very unsafe place.
[00:24:06] It's rated number four in the city. One
[00:24:08] of the worst one of the most unsafe
[00:24:10] places anywhere in the world. But you
[00:24:13] know we took care this was a beautiful
[00:24:14] thing that happened in Washington
[00:24:16] because we showed we showed that it
[00:24:18] could be done and this wasn't just
[00:24:19] sending big strong guys and they are big
[00:24:21] and they are strong you know we had a
[00:24:24] great decision from the Supreme Court
[00:24:26] that had to do with uh sort of talent.
[00:24:29] It had to do with uh you are uh put down
[00:24:34] based on merit. Uh we you can hire based
[00:24:37] on merit. So merit for a soldier or for
[00:24:40] a policeman is strong, physically fit,
[00:24:44] uh something, you know, having a certain
[00:24:46] ability, not a person that is woke and
[00:24:50] got the job through woke, but wasn't
[00:24:53] strong enough to lift a gun out of the
[00:24:55] holster, etc., etc. No, I looked at the
[00:24:57] police, as you know, last week I went
[00:24:59] over, we had a meeting with there had to
[00:25:01] be 300 people, and they were all very
[00:25:03] impressive looking.
[00:25:05] when the bad guys see them, they're not
[00:25:07] going to do a thing. And so I'm very
[00:25:09] proud of Washington. It serves as a
[00:25:11] template and we're going to do it
[00:25:13] elsewhere. But uh Chicago is certainly
[00:25:16] going to be high. I would love to have
[00:25:18] him call. I would love the governor of
[00:25:20] Illinois. I'd be honored to take his
[00:25:22] call. All he has to do is say, "Sir, we
[00:25:25] need help. It's out of control." And
[00:25:27] everyone knows it is. He's not kidding
[00:25:28] anyone. Uh, I would love to have uh I
[00:25:32] would say Governor Moore call because I
[00:25:34] watched him over the weekend trying to
[00:25:36] explain that uh Baltimore what they need
[00:25:39] is housing. No, they don't need housing.
[00:25:41] They need to get rid of the criminals.
[00:25:42] These are hardcore criminals. You know,
[00:25:45] we took many people off the streets of
[00:25:48] Washington DC. They're hardcore. They're
[00:25:51] not going to be good. In 10 years, in 20
[00:25:54] years, in two years, they're going to be
[00:25:56] criminals. They're going to be they were
[00:25:57] born to be criminals. Frankly, they were
[00:25:59] born to be criminals. And they're tough
[00:26:02] and mean and they'll cut your throat and
[00:26:04] they won't even think about it the next
[00:26:06] day. They won't even remember that they
[00:26:08] did it. And we're not going to have
[00:26:10] those people. Washington DC is now a
[00:26:13] safe zone. It's a safe place. And you
[00:26:16] can walk, Katie, you can walk right down
[00:26:18] the street with, by the way, one of the
[00:26:20] biggest human beings I've ever seen,
[00:26:21] which is her husband. He was he was a
[00:26:23] football player for like 11 years in the
[00:26:25] NFL. He's a big person, but big doesn't
[00:26:28] mean anything when they have guns and
[00:26:30] when they have knives and everything
[00:26:31] else that they have, right? But you can
[00:26:33] walk right down the street, even by
[00:26:35] yourself, and you're totally safe.
[00:26:36] Washington DC is a great thing. Yes,
[00:26:38] ma'am. Please.
[00:26:39] >> Mr. President, as you calling on
[00:26:41] Democratic leaders across the country to
[00:26:43] work with you on crime, do you see your
[00:26:45] efforts here in DC, including, for
[00:26:46] example, working with Mayor Bowser here
[00:26:48] as a model for bring more
[00:26:50] bipartisanship? It matters not only with
[00:26:52] crime but also issues that matter to
[00:26:54] everyday American people's lives.
[00:26:56] >> So, Mayor Bowser has been great. She
[00:26:58] could have taken the thing. Oh, well,
[00:27:00] and then after I clean it up, they'll
[00:27:02] take credit for it. You know what they
[00:27:03] do is they take credit. Like, we cleaned
[00:27:05] up Los Angeles. We did a great job
[00:27:07] there. And it was overwhelming what was
[00:27:10] going on. And again, the police chief
[00:27:13] made a statement that we could not have
[00:27:16] done. There's no way they could handle.
[00:27:18] You saw what was happening out there. It
[00:27:19] was going to be a disaster. we stopped
[00:27:20] it cold. If we didn't do that, uh would
[00:27:24] have been a very sad day. And and you
[00:27:26] know, remember we have the Olympics, we
[00:27:27] have the World Cup, we have all these
[00:27:29] things coming and we have 250, all of
[00:27:31] these things coming. But I watched Nome
[00:27:34] get up and say, "He's doing a great He's
[00:27:36] not We're the ones that did it." And
[00:27:37] that's okay. Whatever it takes. But the
[00:27:39] main thing is we But he got up and said,
[00:27:41] "We did it." Well, he didn't want us
[00:27:44] there and he's going to need us again
[00:27:46] because it's starting to form again. I
[00:27:48] see it. It's starting to form again. You
[00:27:50] know, we have to maintain. It's like
[00:27:52] maintenance on an airplane. You can buy
[00:27:54] it, but you have to maintain it. Uh, and
[00:27:56] if you don't maintain it, a good plane
[00:27:58] becomes very unsafe very quickly. So,
[00:28:01] um, it's an honor to do it. It's a lot
[00:28:05] of presidents wouldn't do what I'm
[00:28:06] doing. I don't need this heat. But when
[00:28:08] I watched television last night and I'm
[00:28:10] watching the news and I see that nine
[00:28:12] people were killed in Chicago
[00:28:15] and 54 were badly wounded with bullets.
[00:28:21] I say that's not this country. We have
[00:28:23] to do something. And and I do say this I
[00:28:26] say this very much. I'm I'm not speaking
[00:28:28] to anybody but them right now. I would
[00:28:30] love to receive calls from governors and
[00:28:32] mayors saying they need help. We'll help
[00:28:34] them. We have a lot of people. We have a
[00:28:35] great force. We have a a great military
[00:28:37] force. You know, uh Pete will tell you
[00:28:40] that when I was running for office when
[00:28:43] and this was a big headline, I think,
[00:28:45] you know, probably got me a couple of
[00:28:46] votes, but you couldn't sign people in
[00:28:49] the military. Nobody wanted to join the
[00:28:51] military. The Army, Air Force, any the
[00:28:54] the Navy, Marine, Space Force, Coast
[00:28:58] Guard. We never forget Coast Guard
[00:28:59] because they've done such a great job.
[00:29:01] Never. But nobody wanted to join any of
[00:29:04] them. We were way below what we wanted.
[00:29:07] Every single one, the closest was the
[00:29:09] Marines, whatever that is. You'll
[00:29:11] explain that to me. But the closest was
[00:29:12] the Marines. But every service was way
[00:29:15] down. Way down. And then I got elected.
[00:29:18] And our country is the hottest country
[00:29:20] anywhere in the world right now.
[00:29:21] Everybody's talking about the USA.
[00:29:24] They're talking about the job that we're
[00:29:25] doing. Everybody. We have the best
[00:29:27] economy. We have a very very important
[00:29:30] decision being made by the Supreme Court
[00:29:32] because our country is the richest, the
[00:29:35] strongest, the most powerful. But if for
[00:29:37] some reason some liberal court, I'm
[00:29:39] talking about the court that just ruled
[00:29:41] where even an Obama judge voted in favor
[00:29:43] of us, which I gave him a compliment
[00:29:45] yesterday as you know, I said that took
[00:29:47] great courage. But it's a liberal court
[00:29:50] uh and uh it's going up to the Supreme
[00:29:52] Court who I think have been incredible
[00:29:55] people. I think they've made very wise
[00:29:58] decisions. But uh the tariff question
[00:30:01] because without the tariffs this country
[00:30:03] is in serious serious trouble. We've
[00:30:06] taken in almost 17 trillion dollars of
[00:30:08] investment is coming in. Most of it has
[00:30:11] come in because of tariffs. And if for
[00:30:13] some reason uh somebody wanted to be
[00:30:16] politically correct, I actually think
[00:30:18] it's unpolitically correct. I think
[00:30:20] politically correct is to approve it
[00:30:22] because there's nothing so popular as
[00:30:24] what's happened to our country. our
[00:30:25] country is doing so well. But uh we had
[00:30:29] a liberal court gave us a very shocking
[00:30:31] ruling and that ruling is basically
[00:30:34] saying that the trillions of dollars
[00:30:36] that are be that are pouring into our
[00:30:38] country putting us in a position like no
[00:30:40] country is anywhere in the world that
[00:30:43] they'd like to see us uh that taken
[00:30:45] away. By the way, a lot of the people
[00:30:47] behind that lawsuit that particular are
[00:30:49] from foreign countries. and my dad.
[00:30:53] >> There's a there's a video there is a
[00:30:55] video that is circulating online now of
[00:30:58] the White House where a window is open
[00:31:01] to the residence upstairs and somebody
[00:31:03] is throwing a big bag out the window.
[00:31:05] Have you seen this?
[00:31:06] >> No, that's probably AI generated.
[00:31:10] >> Actually, you can't open the windows.
[00:31:12] You know why? They're all heavily
[00:31:14] armored and bulletproof.
[00:31:16] >> So, that's a fake a fake video. Well,
[00:31:18] it's got to be because I know every
[00:31:19] window up there. The last place I'd be
[00:31:22] doing it is that because there's cameras
[00:31:23] all over the place, right? Including
[00:31:25] yours. No, but every window I I've never
[00:31:28] seen a window that's in fact my wife was
[00:31:30] complaining about it the other day. She
[00:31:32] said, "Love to have a little fresh air
[00:31:34] come in, but you can't. They're
[00:31:35] bulletproof." And uh number one, they're
[00:31:39] sealed. And number two, each window
[00:31:41] weighs about 600 lb. You have to be
[00:31:43] pretty strong to open them up. No, that
[00:31:45] has to be Where was the window? Let me
[00:31:46] see
[00:31:52] >> maybe from the renovations,
[00:31:57] >> which is the window.
[00:31:58] >> It looks like uh this is on the 15th
[00:32:00] Street side, I think. So, right here,
[00:32:04] those windows are sealed. Those windows
[00:32:06] are all They're all sealed. You can't
[00:32:08] open them.
[00:32:10] >> What you were saying regarding the
[00:32:11] federal
[00:32:12] >> It's the kind of thing they do. And one
[00:32:14] of the problems we have with AI, it's
[00:32:15] both good and bad. If something happens
[00:32:17] really bad, just blame AI. But also,
[00:32:20] they create things. You know, it works
[00:32:22] both ways. If something happens that's
[00:32:24] really bad, maybe I'll have to just
[00:32:25] blame AI. But there's truth to it
[00:32:28] because I see so many phony things. I
[00:32:29] saw something as I was growing up from
[00:32:32] the time I was a baby till now. I said,
[00:32:35] "Who did that?" It was AI generated. So,
[00:32:39] it's a little bit scary to be honest
[00:32:41] with you, but but those windows are all
[00:32:43] very heavily sealed.
[00:32:46] >> Follow up with what you were saying
[00:32:47] regarding that federal appellet court
[00:32:49] that ruled against you and your
[00:32:50] administration as it relates to your
[00:32:51] ability.
[00:32:52] >> Well, they ruled against our country the
[00:32:54] court and they ruled against us before.
[00:32:56] It's a very liberal court.
[00:32:57] >> You called it highly partisan in your
[00:32:59] >> Oh, it certainly is. It certainly is.
[00:33:00] >> And in fact, it was along ideological
[00:33:02] lines seven to four. Well, except that
[00:33:04] we actually got one of the Obama judges
[00:33:07] that was appointed by President Obama
[00:33:09] voted in favor of the tariffs because he
[00:33:12] felt it was imperative for our country
[00:33:14] to thrive and survive even uh and I gave
[00:33:18] him credit. I said, you know what, that
[00:33:20] took a lot of courage for him to do it
[00:33:21] because you don't see that often.
[00:33:22] >> So my question is I imagine I suspect
[00:33:26] you're going to appeal that all the way
[00:33:27] to the Supreme Court.
[00:33:28] >> Well, we already have. Yeah. In fact,
[00:33:30] we're doing something else. We're going
[00:33:31] to be going to the Supreme Court. we
[00:33:33] think tomorrow because we need an early
[00:33:35] decision. I mean, look, the the
[00:33:38] financial fabric of our country, we're a
[00:33:40] rich, incredible country right now and
[00:33:43] we're able to, you know, other countries
[00:33:44] use tariffs on us for years and we never
[00:33:48] did any I did a lot uh during my first
[00:33:50] term, but then we had co and we had to
[00:33:53] focus on other things. You couldn't be
[00:33:54] tariffing Italy, Spain, France as they
[00:33:57] were dying by the thousands and
[00:34:00] millions. uh but we did with China and
[00:34:03] China paid us billions and billions of
[00:34:05] dollars and I started the process but
[00:34:07] then I had to end it a little bit
[00:34:08] because of co we focused on that uh but
[00:34:11] no uh it's a very important decision and
[00:34:15] frankly if they make the wrong decision
[00:34:18] it would be devastation for our country.
[00:34:21] We've taken in trillions of dollars and
[00:34:24] and by the way, all these countries
[00:34:26] signed agreements as an example. They
[00:34:28] signed, they're all happy, everybody's
[00:34:30] happy. But some wack job put in a
[00:34:33] lawsuit. It went before a very liberal
[00:34:36] court and the liberal court ruled, it
[00:34:39] was 11 uh they ruled seven to four with
[00:34:43] one of the most liberal of them all
[00:34:45] voting in our favor because they're
[00:34:46] they're patriots. I I think I give
[00:34:49] tremendous credit to that judge and now
[00:34:51] it's going to the Supreme Court. Now
[00:34:52] we're going to be asking for early
[00:34:55] admittance. We're we're going tomorrow
[00:34:56] and we're going to ask for expedited an
[00:34:59] expedited ruling because uh you know
[00:35:02] when you look at the stock market's down
[00:35:04] today, the stock market's down because
[00:35:05] of that because the stock market needs
[00:35:07] the tariffs. They want the tariffs. uh
[00:35:10] if you look at AI all of those ma you
[00:35:13] know all of that money that's going to
[00:35:14] be invested trillions and trillions of
[00:35:16] dollars the biggest thing bigger than
[00:35:19] the internet I suspect it's the internet
[00:35:21] plus three or four other things combined
[00:35:24] uh we are leading very substantially
[00:35:26] with AI uh we're leading because of
[00:35:29] tariffs we're leading because of talent
[00:35:31] and this is where they'd like to be but
[00:35:32] without the tariffs we wouldn't have a
[00:35:34] chance because we wouldn't be able to
[00:35:36] protect those investments of the
[00:35:38] companies coming in So, uh, if you took
[00:35:40] away tariffs,
[00:35:42] we we could end up being a third world
[00:35:44] country.
[00:35:46] >> That's how that's how big the ruling.
[00:35:48] So, we're asking for an expedited
[00:35:50] ruling.
[00:35:52] >> President as a backs stop to that
[00:35:53] president. You have a Republican control
[00:35:55] Congress. You control the House. You
[00:35:57] control the Senate.
[00:35:58] >> Yeah, but we don't have 60 votes. We
[00:36:00] don't have 60 votes. I'd love to do
[00:36:01] that. Oh, if we had if we had 60
[00:36:04] senators, if we got the 60 votes, we
[00:36:06] would get them. But uh we need 60 votes
[00:36:08] and we need you know a certain number in
[00:36:11] the house. Uh we'd get I think we'd get
[00:36:14] I don't know we have about five of them
[00:36:15] here. Would everybody agree with me on
[00:36:17] tariffs? Without tariffs we're a
[00:36:19] different country. We we have taken in
[00:36:21] so much money and and here's the thing.
[00:36:24] We signed a deal with Japan. They're
[00:36:26] paying us hundreds of billions of
[00:36:28] dollars. We signed a deal with South
[00:36:30] Korea. We signed a deal with the
[00:36:31] European Union. We signed a deal with
[00:36:35] Europe.
[00:36:36] And those countries are paying us $950
[00:36:39] billion dollars and they're happy about
[00:36:41] it. They're okay. As one of them said,
[00:36:44] it's amazing that we got away with it so
[00:36:46] long. One of my friends, a leader of one
[00:36:49] of the countries and they're fine with
[00:36:52] it. They all signed. If that ruling ever
[00:36:55] went against us, I guess we'd have to
[00:36:57] give back hundreds of billions. uh we
[00:37:01] would have to give trillions and
[00:37:03] trillions of dollars back to countries
[00:37:06] that have been ripping us off for the
[00:37:07] last 35 years and I can't imagine it
[00:37:11] happening uh on a legal basis they have
[00:37:14] no legal basis whatsoever but on a
[00:37:17] common sense basis it would destroy
[00:37:18] America. Okay. Do you think um we talked
[00:37:22] about controlling the sky on Sunday the
[00:37:25] satellite signal of Honda's plane was
[00:37:27] alleged
[00:37:28] >> with Ursula?
[00:37:29] >> Well, she had an interesting event.
[00:37:31] She's a tre tremendous woman.
[00:37:34] >> Uh and so what are you asking me about
[00:37:36] her?
[00:37:36] >> NATO is concerned about
[00:37:38] >> NATO is concerned about well nobody
[00:37:40] knows where it came from, but they did
[00:37:42] take away her ability to use a phone.
[00:37:44] You know, sometimes that's a good thing.
[00:37:48] >> Sometimes that could happen to me. I'd
[00:37:50] be very happy.
[00:37:51] >> Mr. President,
[00:37:52] >> considering reducing the tariffs on
[00:37:54] India from 50%.
[00:37:56] >> What does that mean?
[00:37:57] >> Are you considering taking away some of
[00:37:58] the tariffs that you've imposed on
[00:38:00] India? This you had posted.
[00:38:01] >> No, we get along with India very well.
[00:38:03] But India has, you have to understand
[00:38:05] for many years it was a one-sided
[00:38:08] relationship only now since I came along
[00:38:10] and because of the power that we have
[00:38:12] with tariffs, India was charging us
[00:38:14] tremendous tariffs about the highest in
[00:38:16] the world. They were about the highest
[00:38:17] in the world number one and we therefore
[00:38:21] weren't doing much business with India
[00:38:22] but they were doing business with us
[00:38:24] because we weren't charging them
[00:38:25] foolishly we weren't charging them so
[00:38:28] they would send in massive you know
[00:38:30] everything they made they'd send it in
[00:38:32] pour it into our country and therefore
[00:38:34] it wouldn't be made here you know which
[00:38:36] is a negative but we would not send in
[00:38:39] anything because they were charging us
[00:38:40] 100% tariffs and you know I'll give you
[00:38:43] an example Harley-Davidson
[00:38:45] Harley-Davidson couldn't didn't sell
[00:38:46] into India. There was a 200% tariff on a
[00:38:49] motorcycle.
[00:38:50] So what happens? Harley-Davidson went to
[00:38:52] India and built a motorcycle plant and
[00:38:56] now they don't have to pay tariffs. Same
[00:38:58] thing as us. So what we're doing is
[00:39:01] literally thousands of country of
[00:39:03] companies are coming into the US. Car
[00:39:05] companies, AI, but you know more
[00:39:08] traditionally car companies. We have so
[00:39:10] many car company factories under
[00:39:12] construction or being designed right
[00:39:14] now. And they're coming from China.
[00:39:16] They're coming from Mexico, I must tell
[00:39:18] you. And they're coming from Canada. A
[00:39:20] lot of them coming from Canada. But
[00:39:22] they're coming into our country because
[00:39:24] they want to build here. And they want
[00:39:26] to build here for two reasons. Number
[00:39:27] one, they'd like to be here. And number
[00:39:28] two, the tariffs are protecting them.
[00:39:31] And number three, uh they want to avoid
[00:39:33] paying tariffs. When they build their
[00:39:35] cars here, they don't have any tariffs
[00:39:37] to pay. You know, when you build here,
[00:39:39] you don't have any tariffs.
[00:39:40] >> Mr. President, Mr. President, in light
[00:39:42] of the Minnesota shooting last week, the
[00:39:45] Department of Homeland Security is now
[00:39:46] awarding more than a hundred million
[00:39:48] dollars to hundreds of faith
[00:39:49] organizations across the country to help
[00:39:52] them ramp up security. What's your
[00:39:54] vision for further protecting religious
[00:39:56] liberty across the country amid
[00:39:58] incidents of threats and violence?
[00:39:59] Religious liberty is so important and
[00:40:02] we're talking about every religion now
[00:40:04] and we're doing things on that that
[00:40:06] nobody else has ever done and we're
[00:40:08] going to be announcing we're going to be
[00:40:09] having a big announcement in about two
[00:40:11] weeks on that question. Yeah, please.
[00:40:13] >> On space command, sir. Um, are you
[00:40:15] concerned that people may not be willing
[00:40:17] to relocate from Colorado to Alabama?
[00:40:20] >> No, I'm not worried. Then we'll get
[00:40:21] somebody else.
[00:40:22] >> Did Colorado
[00:40:23] >> I mean, the problem with Colorado is
[00:40:24] they have a very corrupt uh voting
[00:40:26] system.
[00:40:27] They look I have so many friends in
[00:40:30] Colorado. Anytime you have mail-in
[00:40:32] voting, you have corrupt elections. Very
[00:40:34] simple. It's very simple. Even Jimmy
[00:40:36] Carter said it with his commission. They
[00:40:38] set up a commission with him and Scoop
[00:40:40] Jackson and some people, highly regarded
[00:40:43] people. And they said the one thing, the
[00:40:45] finding was if you have mail-in voting,
[00:40:47] you will have corrupt elections. Well,
[00:40:49] the your uh radical left governor
[00:40:53] decided that he was going to have all
[00:40:55] mailin voting in Colorado. Once you have
[00:40:57] all mailin voting and for whatever
[00:41:00] reason the Democrats cheat and they
[00:41:03] cheat like you know they're not stupid
[00:41:06] that's the only thing they're no good on
[00:41:07] policy they're no good on management
[00:41:09] they're no good at government but
[00:41:11] they're great at cheating and they stick
[00:41:13] together too I give them credit for
[00:41:15] sticking together
[00:41:16] >> Mr. Obviously, this is a big win for
[00:41:18] national security moving this to
[00:41:20] Alabama. We've all can agree with that.
[00:41:22] Is there any idea the economic impact
[00:41:24] this has on the state and on that local
[00:41:26] area?
[00:41:27] >> Katie, do you want to answer that?
[00:41:28] >> Look, I mean this Go ahead.
[00:41:30] >> Please go.
[00:41:31] >> This is going to be tremendous. I mean,
[00:41:33] the state of Alabama um what we've seen
[00:41:35] through this process is the worst of
[00:41:37] Washington. We've seen politics get in
[00:41:40] the way of what is best for the war
[00:41:41] fighter, what's best for national
[00:41:43] security. and the state of Alabama is
[00:41:45] about to show the country um the best
[00:41:48] among us. So we know the economic impact
[00:41:50] is going to be tremendous there at
[00:41:51] Redstone Arsenal. We're proud to house
[00:41:54] everything from uh marit uh the FBI to
[00:41:59] um headquarters there for um m material
[00:42:02] command to a number of things. We
[00:42:04] obviously have NASA with Marshall Space
[00:42:07] Flight Center and so this naturally fits
[00:42:09] within when you look at the decision
[00:42:10] matrix that they placed in front of us.
[00:42:13] That's why we ranked so high is because
[00:42:15] we have the resources necessary and the
[00:42:17] ability to build out quickly to meet the
[00:42:19] needs in front of us. As far as economic
[00:42:21] impact, it would be tremendous. Does
[00:42:23] anybody have an exact number?
[00:42:25] >> 1,600 jobs. Um
[00:42:27] >> 3,000 spin off
[00:42:28] >> with 3,000 spin-off. Look at this. This
[00:42:30] is teamwork right here. Um so we are
[00:42:32] really proud and the people of Alabama
[00:42:34] are ready to get to work.
[00:42:36] >> And I've got a following question if you
[00:42:37] could just for a second, Mr. President.
[00:42:39] uh owning a home and going about the
[00:42:42] American dream seems like it's out of
[00:42:43] touch for a lot of Americans. Just
[00:42:45] recently you pushed out a statement
[00:42:47] about addressing an emergency housing
[00:42:49] situation.
[00:42:49] >> That's right. We're thinking about doing
[00:42:50] that.
[00:42:51] >> Yeah. Can you just
[00:42:51] >> Well, we need a little help from the
[00:42:53] Fed. We have uh a man named Jerome Too
[00:42:56] late Powell. You probably heard of him.
[00:42:58] He's too late. Way too late. And the
[00:43:01] economy is so strong that it's pushing
[00:43:03] through that. Normally, it would have
[00:43:05] been much tougher, but we're doing so
[00:43:07] well that we're pushing through it. But
[00:43:09] it makes it very hard for people to get
[00:43:11] mortgages because too late is too late.
[00:43:13] Very simple. He's too late. And uh
[00:43:16] probably political, whatever. He wasn't
[00:43:18] too late before the election. Before the
[00:43:20] election, he was cutting rates, right?
[00:43:22] Because he was hoping that I guess Biden
[00:43:24] would get in or that Kamala would. He
[00:43:26] was a big Biden guy. Explain that one.
[00:43:29] And then he was a comma person, but he
[00:43:32] was hoping I guess she'd she'd win. I
[00:43:34] guess I don't know. It didn't work out
[00:43:35] too well. But uh yeah, we need a we need
[00:43:39] a very serious cut. You know, I I think
[00:43:42] that if you look back many decades ago,
[00:43:45] the United States was always the lowest.
[00:43:46] Even if they were doing badly, the
[00:43:48] United States was because without the
[00:43:50] United States, every everything in the
[00:43:52] world would die. It's true. It's so
[00:43:54] powerful. It's so big. And I've made it
[00:43:56] re I made it really big in the first
[00:43:58] four years. Then it started to
[00:44:01] degenerate with what this Biden
[00:44:03] administration did. But we've built it
[00:44:05] up to a level that I never thought we
[00:44:06] could be at this quickly. We're the
[00:44:09] hottest. We're the best. We're the best
[00:44:10] financially. The money coming in is so
[00:44:12] big because of tariffs and other things,
[00:44:13] but because of tariffs. Tariff gets us
[00:44:16] even those other things. Plus, it gets
[00:44:18] us great negotiator. I settled seven
[00:44:20] wars and numerous of those wars were
[00:44:23] because of trade and numerous of the
[00:44:26] trade deals that I made were because of
[00:44:28] tariffs. It gives you a great
[00:44:29] negotiating ability. If that ability
[00:44:31] were taken away from us by a liberal
[00:44:34] court acting on essentially foreign
[00:44:36] nations asking to get help from the
[00:44:40] United States government when they've
[00:44:42] been doing this to us for 40 years.
[00:44:46] They've That's why we have 38 trillion
[00:44:48] dollars in debt. We won't have it for
[00:44:50] long if they let us uh if if they allow
[00:44:54] us to do what everybody knows we should
[00:44:56] be able to do. Yeah. Please,
[00:44:58] >> Mr. President, another Biden era action
[00:45:00] that you're now reversing is that you
[00:45:01] signing last week to make federal
[00:45:03] buildings adopt and embrace classical
[00:45:06] architecture styles again. Can you talk
[00:45:08] to us about why you do that and also
[00:45:10] what's your vision?
[00:45:11] >> Well, we want to see beautiful
[00:45:12] buildings. Now, you know, it's in the
[00:45:14] eye of the beholder. I've seen
[00:45:15] architectural reviews that over the
[00:45:18] years I'm an expert at it. I've gotten a
[00:45:20] lot of great reviews, but I've seen
[00:45:22] buildings that I didn't think were very
[00:45:24] good get reviews and I've seen great
[00:45:26] buildings get bad reviews. So, but it's
[00:45:28] just a standard. We want to have a good
[00:45:30] standard. We're building something here.
[00:45:31] You know, for 150 years, they've wanted
[00:45:33] a ballroom at the White House. We're
[00:45:34] doing something at the highest level
[00:45:36] using great architects and all and uh
[00:45:39] you know, it's very exciting. But we
[00:45:41] have a lot of interesting things
[00:45:42] happening architecturally in DC.
[00:45:45] And DC is like a different place. And
[00:45:47] you know, even the contractor said,
[00:45:49] "Sir, we walk down today, we feel like
[00:45:51] much safer. It's like a different
[00:45:53] place." Washington DC is great. Now,
[00:45:56] we're going to also beautify it. We're
[00:45:58] going to put a topping on the roads.
[00:46:00] We're not going to rip them apart and
[00:46:01] take four years to build a road that was
[00:46:03] exactly the same by the time you build
[00:46:05] it. Uh, but we're going to put toppings.
[00:46:07] We're going to put new medians in. We're
[00:46:09] going to get the graffiti off. We're
[00:46:10] going to put tiles up in the tunnels
[00:46:12] where the tiles are missing. we'll do
[00:46:14] the whole tunnel instead of, you know, a
[00:46:15] little area where you see new tiles, old
[00:46:18] tiles that never look too good, but they
[00:46:19] could use it. You know, they've been up
[00:46:21] for 50 years. They've they've served
[00:46:23] their duty. But we're going to make this
[00:46:25] uh within about a 20 mile radius from
[00:46:30] the White House. We're going to have
[00:46:31] this place sp and span. It's going to be
[00:46:34] crime-free and it's going to be and
[00:46:37] span. It's going to be You'll be proud
[00:46:38] of Washington again. Go ahead, please.
[00:46:40] Sir, China's having a massive military
[00:46:42] parade that President Putin and Kim
[00:46:44] Jong-un will be attending. Do you
[00:46:46] interpret that as as a challenge to the
[00:46:48] Are you concerned at all about those
[00:46:49] countries being trying to be some sort
[00:46:51] of counterweight?
[00:46:52] >> Not at all. China needs us and I have a
[00:46:54] very good relationship with President Xi
[00:46:56] as you know, but China needs us much
[00:46:59] more than we need them. No, I don't see
[00:47:01] that at all. No,
[00:47:04] >> one more.
[00:47:04] >> And I had actually a very good meeting
[00:47:06] with President Putin a couple of weeks
[00:47:07] ago. We'll see if anything comes out of
[00:47:08] it. If it doesn't, uh, we'll take a
[00:47:11] different stance.
[00:47:12] >> March today in California ruled that
[00:47:15] your deployment of National Guard troops
[00:47:17] to Los Angeles was illegal. Do you have
[00:47:19] any response?
[00:47:20] >> Well, it was a uh radical left judge,
[00:47:23] but very importantly, what did you not
[00:47:25] tell me in that question or statement
[00:47:28] that you made? Pretty much of a
[00:47:29] statement, I think.
[00:47:30] >> Well, I was asking for the response.
[00:47:32] >> No, no, you didn't say what the judge
[00:47:34] said, though. The judge said, "But you
[00:47:36] can leave the 300 people that you
[00:47:38] already have in place. They can continue
[00:47:41] to be in place. That's all we need." But
[00:47:43] why didn't you put that as part of your
[00:47:45] statement? Because the judge, the same
[00:47:47] judge ruled exactly as you said, except
[00:47:51] the judge said that you could leave the
[00:47:53] 300 people that you already have in
[00:47:55] place. They can stay, they can remain,
[00:47:57] they can do what they have to do. Uh,
[00:47:59] thank you very much everybody. We
[00:48:01] appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:48:03] >> Thank you very much.
[00:48:09] Thank you guys. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:48:11] Thank you. Let's head out. Let's go
[00:48:13] guys. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:48:16] Thanks, guys. Let's go. Let's go. Keep
[00:48:17] going.
[00:48:20] Thanks, guys.
[00:48:24] >> Thank you,
