Tom Homan Shuts Down the “ICE Is Retreating” Narrative

[00:00:00] Let's get into Tom Hman held a press [00:00:01] conference in Minneapolis this morning. [00:00:03] He obviously was deployed by the [00:00:05] president to kind of [00:00:07] >> tighten the ship. [00:00:08] >> Yep. So, we had the the clashes between [00:00:10] ICE and all of the [00:00:13] >> agitators [00:00:14] >> agitators in insurrectionists insurgents [00:00:18] in Minneapolis. And the goal is have [00:00:21] >> fewer controversies and still make sure [00:00:23] that people are people who don't belong [00:00:26] in this country are getting out of this [00:00:28] country. Now, part of what people have [00:00:29] seen, and we should lead with this, is [00:00:31] he has announced they surged 7,000 [00:00:34] people into the Minneapolis 3,000. Was [00:00:35] it 3,000? Maybe it was 3,000. But he's [00:00:38] announced that they're dialing back that [00:00:40] amount of surge. And so, big headline [00:00:42] >> 417. [00:00:44] >> I have announced effective immediately, [00:00:46] we will draw down 700 people effective [00:00:50] today. [00:00:52] 700 law enforcement personnel. [00:00:55] >> Okay. The why the why, the why is coming [00:00:57] up. And also just keep in mind that this [00:01:00] is has to happen at some point. We're [00:01:01] not going to perpetually keep 15 20% of [00:01:04] ICE in Minneapolis, as satisfying as [00:01:07] that might be sometimes. But uh he [00:01:10] explains that the reason they're able to [00:01:11] pull these out is that they're getting [00:01:13] new [00:01:14] cooperation from the state of Minnesota, [00:01:16] the city of Minneapolis that they [00:01:17] previously were not able to get. So this [00:01:20] is 418. [00:01:22] We currently have an unprecedented [00:01:25] number of counties communicating with us [00:01:27] now [00:01:28] and allowing ICE to take custody of [00:01:30] illegal aliens before they hit the [00:01:32] streets. Unprecedented [00:01:35] cooperation. [00:01:37] And I'll say it again. This is [00:01:39] efficient. Requires only one or two [00:01:41] officers to assume custody of a criminal [00:01:43] alien target rather than eight or 10 [00:01:46] officers going into the community and [00:01:49] arresting that public safety threat. [00:01:52] This frees up more officers to arrest or [00:01:55] remove criminal aliens. [00:01:57] More officers taking custody of criminal [00:01:59] aliens directly from the jails means [00:02:02] less officers on the street doing [00:02:04] criminal operations. [00:02:07] This is smart law enforcement, not less [00:02:10] law enforcement. [00:02:12] >> And it it's worth saying Tom Hman is [00:02:15] gosh, I just think he's the he's so [00:02:17] disciplined [00:02:19] in his role. That is what's So Tom and [00:02:21] Tom Tom Hman is a field general. We love [00:02:23] Tom. He's been on the show multiple [00:02:25] times. He loved Charlie. Charlie loved [00:02:27] Tom. Uh and we continue that [00:02:29] relationship with Tom. So he's great. [00:02:31] He's a but he's a field general, but [00:02:32] more importantly for this role right now [00:02:34] is he's a great disciplined messenger. [00:02:37] And so of course all of us in the base [00:02:39] are going, "Hey, hey, hey, you're drawn [00:02:41] back. What was it not? You know, is it [00:02:45] only the worst first?" Cuz I'm an all of [00:02:46] them guy. I'll just be really clear. You [00:02:49] break our laws. You invade our country. [00:02:51] You you participate in the eraser of the [00:02:53] American culture that we love and we [00:02:54] want to defend for our our next [00:02:56] generation, our kids and our grandkids. [00:02:58] You come into this country like that, [00:03:00] heck no. You're out. There's no [00:03:02] negotiation. There's no soba story [00:03:05] that's going to move me off that point. [00:03:07] Okay? You do not bend the knee to these [00:03:09] terrorists. So Tom being the great [00:03:12] messenger that he is, made sure he [00:03:14] addressed exactly that concern. 409. [00:03:16] >> Those who are not a national security [00:03:18] threat or public safety public safety [00:03:21] risk, you are not exempt [00:03:24] from immigration enforcement actions. If [00:03:26] you're in the country illegally, you are [00:03:28] not off the table. And let me be clear, [00:03:30] President Trump fully intends to achieve [00:03:32] mass deportations during this [00:03:34] administration and immigration [00:03:36] enforcement actions will continue every [00:03:38] day throughout this country. [00:03:41] So, let me explain why this is [00:03:43] important, what's happening here, and [00:03:44] why the base needs to get behind what [00:03:46] Tom's doing with the draw down. Now, it [00:03:48] was BBC, it was uh NBC, it was [00:03:50] Washington Post. All of them led with [00:03:52] the draw down. So, why is that [00:03:54] important? Because, and Breitbart had a [00:03:56] great piece on this, it's that the poll [00:03:58] shows the majority of voters back [00:04:01] President Trump's m im immigration [00:04:02] policy even despite all this media [00:04:05] magnified Democrat claims that the [00:04:07] enforcement is hurting his poll numbers. [00:04:09] What they don't like is they don't like [00:04:11] seeing the stuff in the streets. Okay, [00:04:13] there's normies. I I personally have no [00:04:16] problem with it. Let me just be very [00:04:17] clear. I have zero problem with it. But [00:04:20] there's normies. There's independents. [00:04:22] All of them support mass deportations. [00:04:24] They want to get illegals out, but they [00:04:25] don't want to see the images. And the [00:04:27] Democrats know that. So, they want to [00:04:28] weaponize the images. So, we got to make [00:04:31] it so that they can't do that. All [00:04:32] right. You got to be thinking [00:04:33] strategically. And it has to be [00:05:24] emphasized over and over again that the [00:05:26] left does not want this. The left wants [00:05:30] criminals in America. They want them [00:05:32] robbing Americans. They want them raping [00:05:33] Americans. They want them killing [00:05:34] Americans. And you can prove this. You [00:05:36] can go to the Washington Post this [00:05:37] morning. This is a headline today. [00:05:39] Washington Post. Several states move to [00:05:41] ban local cooperation in immigration [00:05:43] arrests. So Maryland is going to [00:05:45] basically ban any of their local law [00:05:48] enforcement agencies anywhere in the [00:05:50] state from working with ICE by, for [00:05:52] example, letting them into jails. [00:05:53] They're trying to do this in New Mexico, [00:05:54] in New York, in Hawaii, in Virginia. The [00:05:57] only reason to do this is that you want [00:06:00] foreign criminals in America. period. [00:06:02] You want it for the census and uh the [00:06:05] electoral college, congressional seats [00:06:07] and voters. [00:06:07] >> But it would be so easy for them to say, [00:06:09] "Okay, just take these criminals and [00:06:11] they'll try to divert it that way." And [00:06:13] oh, and then they can complain if they [00:06:14] go after someone who hasn't committed [00:06:16] any crime besides breaking into this [00:06:18] country illegally. They could do that. [00:06:19] But instead, [clears throat] they are so [00:06:20] fanatical. They want the worst criminals [00:06:23] here. They would pay money to fly them [00:06:25] into the [00:06:27] >> Yeah. They want Maryland dad to be [00:06:28] sipping margaritas in Maryland. So, but [00:06:31] that's not going to happen. We're going [00:06:32] to get our mass deportations. You either [00:06:34] cooperate, do it the easy way, or you do [00:06:37] it the hard way.
