[00:22:09] it's like my old home Church nobody sits
[00:22:11] on the front
[00:22:14] row it's 2025 the daily wire is about to
[00:22:17] turn 10 years old and yesterday the
[00:22:19] president of the United States signed an
[00:22:21] executive order titled protecting our
[00:22:23] children from chemical and surgical
[00:22:25] mutilation which prohibits Surgical and
[00:22:27] chemical mutilation
[00:22:29] of our children it is a great day for
[00:22:31] the daily
[00:22:40] wire this order comes on the heels of
[00:22:42] other critical actions taken by
[00:22:44] President Trump in just his first week
[00:22:46] in office which affirmed that the
[00:22:47] federal government will reform its
[00:22:49] practices to recognize the scientific
[00:22:50] and moral reality that there are only
[00:22:53] two genders male and female these
[00:22:55] actions should bring an immediate and
[00:22:56] dramatic end to what's been a true
[00:22:58] period of National Disgrace which I
[00:23:00] think will be remembered as no less evil
[00:23:02] than slavery or abortion and Donald
[00:23:04] Trump deserves enormous credit for
[00:23:05] writing this terrible National
[00:23:08] wrong for me personally though this is
[00:23:11] also an exciting moment to reflect on
[00:23:13] what we've accomplished as a company
[00:23:15] there are a lot of people in the
[00:23:16] conservative movement who deserve a lot
[00:23:18] of credit for this Victory but a lot of
[00:23:20] the people who deserve the most credit
[00:23:22] are sitting right here in this room
[00:23:24] today we don't often get to tout all of
[00:23:26] our own accomplishments modesty being a
[00:23:28] virtue but false modesty is a sin and to
[00:23:32] put it bluntly the daily wire has been
[00:23:34] leading on this issue from the very day
[00:23:36] that we were founded I couldn't be more
[00:23:38] proud of all of our enormous
[00:23:40] contributions to this issue we've made
[00:23:43] enormous contributions to a range of
[00:23:44] issues and I'm often proud of the team
[00:23:47] but never more so than today it is rare
[00:23:51] in life I've been in this business for a
[00:23:53] minute I've seen a lot of things it is
[00:23:56] rare in this life that you get to be a
[00:23:58] part of a moment like this and it would
[00:24:00] be inappropriate for us not to take a
[00:24:02] moment to reflect on it together as a
[00:24:05] team and to reflect on it with our
[00:24:07] audience with the people who have
[00:24:08] supported us with the people who've
[00:24:09] empowered Us by listening to our shows
[00:24:12] by sharing our content by engaging with
[00:24:14] our advertisers our advertisers who
[00:24:16] actually did the advertising our
[00:24:18] subscribers who made it possible for us
[00:24:20] to take some of the stands that we've
[00:24:22] taken against incredible odds I don't
[00:24:25] think people sometimes even inside the
[00:24:28] company
[00:24:28] and certainly outside actually realize
[00:24:32] just how difficult it has been to wage
[00:24:35] this particular fight and what it means
[00:24:37] that we've been able to participate in
[00:24:38] this Victory it's a very special thing
[00:24:41] we should hold on to it like with all of
[00:24:44] your successes in life you should hang
[00:24:45] on to it Loosely but you should hang on
[00:24:47] to it nonetheless nobody has fought
[00:24:50] harder than we have on this issue and
[00:24:53] for that reason I've never been more
[00:24:55] proud and I want to tell you a little
[00:24:58] bit just in reflection on how it came to
[00:25:00] be in this moment two weeks after the
[00:25:04] founding of the company Ben Shapiro went
[00:25:07] on CNN and did a show with Dr Drew and
[00:25:11] Zoe tur if those of you who don't
[00:25:13] remember Zoe tur is a biological man who
[00:25:16] it's hard to remember him because he's
[00:25:18] basically disappeared from public life
[00:25:20] but he's a biological man who at that
[00:25:22] time was defending so-called trans
[00:25:24] rights which were fairly novel at the
[00:25:25] time most of us had not really engaged
[00:25:27] with this issue in a major way and yet
[00:25:30] there was been
[00:25:31] 2015 I can't stress enough two weeks
[00:25:34] after we started the daily wire and he
[00:25:37] was debating these issues and he
[00:25:38] referred to tur as Sir which in
[00:25:41] retrospect was perhaps a little bit more
[00:25:43] polite than Ben should have been um tur
[00:25:46] though responded to this by grabbing Ben
[00:25:48] by the neck and saying if you say that
[00:25:51] again you're going home in an
[00:25:54] ambulance it was an amazing moment of
[00:25:57] television I mean here you had a rather
[00:26:00] large biological man in a dress
[00:26:03] threatening physical violence if Ben
[00:26:05] didn't bend the knee to this obvious
[00:26:07] delusion and what was the reaction from
[00:26:10] CNN nothing what was the reaction from
[00:26:13] Dr Drew on one of his guests was being
[00:26:15] threatened on National Television for
[00:26:18] saying a political opinion nothing and
[00:26:21] that was the first clue that we had as a
[00:26:23] company as to what this fight was going
[00:26:25] to be like it was going to be threats
[00:26:28] threat of physical violence threats of
[00:26:31] economic hardship threats of
[00:26:33] demonetization of blocking of harassment
[00:26:36] of threats against essentially the
[00:26:39] livelihood of everyone who worked for
[00:26:41] this company and our opportunities at
[00:26:42] success at every turn if we did not
[00:26:45] accept this obvious lie so from day one
[00:26:50] it was the daily wire's policy not to
[00:26:51] give into this from day one it was our
[00:26:53] policy not to use the ridiculous novel
[00:26:55] concept of preferred pronouns and any of
[00:26:57] our report reporting and we decided
[00:27:00] instead we would just use pronouns in
[00:27:02] our reporting like reporters had been
[00:27:03] doing since the dawn of time but at the
[00:27:06] time well in retrospect like well that's
[00:27:07] not a very big deal except that at the
[00:27:09] time everybody was moving as quickly as
[00:27:12] they could to rewrite the rules of
[00:27:14] language to accommodate for this gender
[00:27:17] Madness uh back then in 2015 we only had
[00:27:21] two hosts Ben and Drew um at that time
[00:27:24] I'm not even sure that we had hired
[00:27:25] Michael NES to be our social media
[00:27:27] manager which was the worst decision we
[00:27:29] ever made in the history of the company
[00:27:31] we eventually had to give him a show
[00:27:32] just because he was so bad at his job uh
[00:27:35] but even with only two hosts this issue
[00:27:37] was never far away from our coverage I
[00:27:41] remember Ben talking about it on his
[00:27:43] 20th episode I remember Drew talking
[00:27:45] about it in the first month of the
[00:27:46] company and giving one of his first uh
[00:27:49] comedic monologues about men going into
[00:27:51] women's restrooms and you should go back
[00:27:53] and watch it it's absolutely vintage
[00:27:56] classic Andrew claven and again at the
[00:28:00] time no one was having these
[00:28:02] conversations no one was engaging in
[00:28:04] this fight now of course it's Universal
[00:28:06] and in retrospect it feels like these
[00:28:08] were just very small moves that were
[00:28:10] happening but they were pronounced moves
[00:28:12] at the time in fact many right of Center
[00:28:16] commentators and journalists at that
[00:28:18] time even many who now are on the
[00:28:20] correct side of the issue who now have
[00:28:22] done heroic work since having the scales
[00:28:24] lifted from their eyes nevertheless in
[00:28:26] those days they were not on on our side
[00:28:29] uh they
[00:28:30] were supportive of again I call them
[00:28:32] so-called trans rights because I'm not
[00:28:34] sure that there is a right to mutilate
[00:28:37] your body in service of a delusion and
[00:28:39] there's certainly not a right to
[00:28:40] mutilate children in service of a
[00:28:43] delusion we weren't the only people in
[00:28:45] the fight and I don't mean to imply that
[00:28:47] we were but it was lonely there were not
[00:28:50] many and we were
[00:28:52] leading and our outspokenness on the
[00:28:55] issue came with a a very real price the
[00:28:58] truth is we couldn't have imagined how
[00:28:59] great a price it would ultimately be and
[00:29:01] I'm going to tell you a little bit about
[00:29:02] that as we go through today but we were
[00:29:04] warned in 2019 as the company was really
[00:29:07] starting to get its sea livs we were
[00:29:09] really starting to break through we were
[00:29:10] really starting uh to have
[00:29:14] success we were being courted by one of
[00:29:16] the big three Hollywood talent agencies
[00:29:20] and an agent that one of these a top
[00:29:22] agent at one of these top agencies with
[00:29:24] whom I've cultivated a friendship I
[00:29:26] think he's a good guy I'm not going to
[00:29:28] say his name because I don't want him to
[00:29:29] take a lot of flack for this
[00:29:30] nevertheless he called me and he said
[00:29:32] listen we love you guys we think that
[00:29:34] there's huge opportunity there are a lot
[00:29:36] of great deals to be done
[00:29:40] but you know you're conservatives and
[00:29:43] we're as a organization pretty well
[00:29:46] populated by left-leaning Hollywood folk
[00:29:49] uh I said yeah but you knew that when
[00:29:51] you were taking the meetings with us are
[00:29:52] we going to be able to do deals or not
[00:29:53] he said you 100% going to be able to do
[00:29:55] deals we're going to do huge deals we're
[00:29:57] going to make a lot of money together
[00:29:58] we're going to help you guys increase
[00:29:59] your reach increase your Effectiveness
[00:30:02] and and the truth is we don't really
[00:30:03] care what you guys talk about you want
[00:30:05] to talk about abortion that's fine you
[00:30:07] want to talk about small government
[00:30:08] that's fine robust foreign policy that's
[00:30:10] fine we understand but there is one
[00:30:13] thing you have got to stop talking about
[00:30:16] this trans issue you have to understand
[00:30:18] he told me a lot of the people you'll be
[00:30:20] working with at the agency I mean this
[00:30:22] is La this is New York a lot of the
[00:30:24] people you're working with at the agency
[00:30:25] have transgendered children it's
[00:30:28] personal to them you have to let it
[00:30:31] go the or else was kind of implied he
[00:30:34] didn't actually say it um and again the
[00:30:37] guy who said this a good guy he wasn't
[00:30:39] actually trying to threaten me he was
[00:30:41] trying to tell me the actual reality of
[00:30:43] the situation but it really was a devil
[00:30:45] at the crossroads moment for Ben and I I
[00:30:48] mean essentially we were being told you
[00:30:50] can have the world and it will only cost
[00:30:53] you your soul and we wanted the world
[00:30:56] you know if you work here you know if
[00:30:58] you've been following the company if
[00:31:00] you're a supporter of the company we are
[00:31:02] remarkably ambitious we're the most
[00:31:03] ambitious people in conservative media
[00:31:06] we don't just want to be the preeminent
[00:31:08] conservative Media company we want to be
[00:31:10] the preminent digital media company in
[00:31:12] the world that's what we have our sites
[00:31:13] on the most influenced the largest and
[00:31:16] most engaged audience the most
[00:31:18] opportunity to make a difference the
[00:31:19] most opportunity to do well and to do
[00:31:21] good and here we were being told well
[00:31:24] the cost of that is you cannot talk
[00:31:26] about this issue
[00:31:28] and we chose our
[00:31:29] souls again you look back and you say
[00:31:32] the daily wire did over $200 million of
[00:31:34] Revenue last year we have millions of uh
[00:31:36] people in our audience we have enormous
[00:31:38] reach we have successful hosts and
[00:31:40] successful shows and successful movies
[00:31:42] successful documentaries and it seems
[00:31:43] like that was an easy decision to make
[00:31:46] it was not an easy decision to make in
[00:31:50] fact if we had known just how hard it's
[00:31:52] going to be I don't know if we could
[00:31:54] have had the fortitude to have stood by
[00:31:56] the decision fortunately
[00:31:58] God has special Providence For Fools and
[00:32:01] we were very
[00:32:02] naive so in the years that followed we
[00:32:04] doubled down and we tripled down on this
[00:32:06] particular fight we LED on this
[00:32:09] particular fight and we scored real
[00:32:11] victories both political and cultural in
[00:32:14] 2021 our own Luke rosc blew open one of
[00:32:16] the most consequential news stories of
[00:32:18] the decade and I say consequential
[00:32:20] because it literally elected a governor
[00:32:21] in the state of Virginia in lden county
[00:32:24] of Virginia a school board had covered
[00:32:25] up a sexual assault in order to protect
[00:32:28] the insane bathroom policy that they had
[00:32:29] put in place which had allowed a teenage
[00:32:32] boy to go into the restroom with teenage
[00:32:36] girls uh after the story blew up Matt
[00:32:38] Walsh rented a room in Lowden County in
[00:32:40] order to qualify as a citizen for a
[00:32:42] Citizens only school board meeting and
[00:32:43] helped bring the issue to national
[00:32:45] attention it went viral and led in
[00:32:48] significant part to the election uh of
[00:32:50] governor jungan in Virginia which is a
[00:32:52] huge turning point for the state of
[00:32:54] Virginia and the beginning of what
[00:32:56] became a cascading Turning Point around
[00:32:58] this issue and around our politics
[00:33:01] Nationwide and of course the school
[00:33:02] officials responsible for the travesty
[00:33:04] were later indicted for their roles in
[00:33:06] the coverup that is because of the work
[00:33:08] of Luke rosak is because of the work of
[00:33:10] Matt Walsh it is because of the work of
[00:33:12] the daily wire from our journalists all
[00:33:14] the way through our social media team
[00:33:15] for making that happen and in many ways
[00:33:18] it was the springboard for Matt's
[00:33:19] Journey becoming himself a leader on
[00:33:22] this issue the leading voice at the
[00:33:23] leading publication on the defining
[00:33:26] social issue of the last decade again a
[00:33:29] thing for which we should be enormously
[00:33:31] proud and thankful to have been a part
[00:33:33] of after that Matt released his
[00:33:35] children's book Johnny the walrus and
[00:33:37] cleverly became the number one author in
[00:33:39] the LGBT category on Amazon it was a
[00:33:42] hilarious stunt uh and the book was very
[00:33:45] very funny and very good uh I'll brag a
[00:33:47] little bit that my niece Illustrated the
[00:33:49] book so I have obviously this was a
[00:33:50] great moment for me in the history of
[00:33:52] the company but it was also effective
[00:33:55] because it changed policy at at Amazon
[00:33:57] outraged Amazon employees staged a die
[00:33:59] in they were so uh they were so uh
[00:34:02] scandalized by the fact that we were
[00:34:04] able to sell some books about ideas with
[00:34:06] which they disagreed that they pretended
[00:34:08] to be dead at the doorway of Amazon to
[00:34:11] imply that reading our words in a
[00:34:13] children's book was the threat of actual
[00:34:16] violence it threatened their actual
[00:34:17] lives and Amazon one of the largest and
[00:34:20] most valuable companies in the world had
[00:34:22] to make a choice would they stand with
[00:34:24] their employees and probably if we're
[00:34:26] being honest based on the geography of
[00:34:28] where they were founded probably their
[00:34:30] own sort of political beliefs whether
[00:34:31] they deeply held a belief in
[00:34:33] transgenderism at the top of the company
[00:34:35] or not who knows but certainly they were
[00:34:38] friendly to the idea of progressive
[00:34:40] values and yet because the daily wire
[00:34:43] was gaining traction because we were
[00:34:44] starting to have purchase uh with the
[00:34:47] audience they chose
[00:34:50] sanity which was surprising to all of us
[00:34:53] they left the book up in their store and
[00:34:55] today it sold over 150,000 copies on
[00:34:58] Amazon and that wouldn't be the last
[00:35:00] time we took a top tech company to task
[00:35:03] over the issue of
[00:35:05] transgenderism then of course in March
[00:35:08] of 2021 Harry's Razors canell a big
[00:35:10] advertising campaign with the daily wire
[00:35:12] because Michael nolles and Candace Owens
[00:35:14] had discussed the reality of biological
[00:35:16] sex on a show that at the time wasn't
[00:35:19] even on the daily wire and once again we
[00:35:22] decided to fight rather than simply let
[00:35:24] the left have the ability to dictate
[00:35:26] this delution onto the rest of us by
[00:35:29] Fiat we launched Jeremy's razors and
[00:35:32] just so you understand today Jeremy's
[00:35:34] razors is a is a growing and thriving
[00:35:37] business it will do something like it
[00:35:39] did something like $20 million of
[00:35:41] Revenue last year which is a pretty
[00:35:42] funny end of the joke if you think about
[00:35:44] it but it wasn't obvious that that was
[00:35:47] going to redown to our benefit we were
[00:35:49] essentially saying to all of our
[00:35:51] advertisers on whom we are dependent and
[00:35:53] and at that time we're dependent for
[00:35:55] almost all of our Revenue this was
[00:35:57] before the real ascendency of our
[00:35:58] subscription program and we were telling
[00:36:00] them we will not bend the knee to these
[00:36:03] sorts of threats we will not bend the
[00:36:05] knee we could have lost an overwhelming
[00:36:08] number of our advertisers and we could
[00:36:10] have lost the entire company we didn't
[00:36:13] thank God that that doesn't mean that we
[00:36:15] weren't taking that risk we did take the
[00:36:17] risk and and we won a year later we
[00:36:22] launched another Market opportunity with
[00:36:24] Jeremy's chocolate Hershey's chocolate
[00:36:26] thought it would be funny to to all this
[00:36:28] nonsense with a her she bar and we said
[00:36:31] no you can't we're not going to give in
[00:36:32] to this sort of diversity cult that
[00:36:34] you're a part of we launched our own
[00:36:35] chocolate and today we've sold over a
[00:36:37] million bars of our she her and he him
[00:36:39] chocolate as I like to say one of them
[00:36:41] has nuts I'll leave it to you to decide
[00:36:44] which is which and again we were telling
[00:36:47] the marketplace of our advertisers that
[00:36:49] we weren't going to put up with
[00:36:52] this there was enormous risk just
[00:36:55] because the moves worked does not mean
[00:36:57] there wasn't enormous risk success
[00:36:58] always seems inevitable in retrospect
[00:37:01] but success is never guaranteed each one
[00:37:04] of these moves in required of us huge
[00:37:08] risk both of capital and of toil and of
[00:37:11] reputation and every single time we felt
[00:37:14] like we were putting the entire company
[00:37:16] at risk to stand for these particular
[00:37:19] values and we felt that way because we
[00:37:22] were and the consequences that we had
[00:37:25] been warned about were very nearly a on
[00:37:28] us and of course the most important and
[00:37:30] most public move we made came in the
[00:37:31] form of a question in 2022 daily wire
[00:37:34] released Matt Walsh's culture shaping
[00:37:36] documentary what is a woman the left it
[00:37:39] turns out did not know the answer and
[00:37:40] they were
[00:37:41] pissed Matt film became a national
[00:37:44] sensation with tens of millions of
[00:37:46] viewers by the time the dust had settled
[00:37:48] we working together with Matt had
[00:37:50] exposed the Sinister motives behind body
[00:37:53] destroying medical procedures at
[00:37:54] Vanderbilt Hospital and Beyond posted a
[00:37:56] giant outside of the Tennessee State
[00:37:59] House demanding action to protect
[00:38:01] children and it started a movement that
[00:38:02] inspired over 36 States Nationwide to
[00:38:05] change their laws to ban the barbaric
[00:38:07] practice of mutilating children in the
[00:38:09] name of radical political Theory those
[00:38:12] actions more than anything else led to
[00:38:14] the case that's currently before The
[00:38:16] Supreme Court to determine whether or
[00:38:17] not states have an inherent right to
[00:38:19] protect children from having their
[00:38:20] bodies sacrificed on the altar of this
[00:38:22] sociable fashionable social contagion or
[00:38:25] whether our government is just a pagan
[00:38:26] death cult we will know that this year
[00:38:28] and we will know it because of what is a
[00:38:32] woman and what is a woman wasn't our
[00:38:34] only F uh wasn't our only film dealing
[00:38:36] with these issues in 2023 we put out
[00:38:39] lady Ballers starring virtually all of
[00:38:42] us and tackling the issue of men
[00:38:44] dominating women's sports the day after
[00:38:47] we released the trailer Facebook
[00:38:50] permanently collapsed our traffic on the
[00:38:53] platform you have to understand that
[00:38:56] there was a time when the daily wire was
[00:38:58] the number one publisher in the world on
[00:39:02] Facebook which was the number one
[00:39:04] publisher in the
[00:39:06] world the day after we released the lady
[00:39:08] Ballers trailer they crushed
[00:39:12] us Mark Zuckerberg has publicly
[00:39:15] acknowledged now that they were taking
[00:39:17] actions to suppress effective political
[00:39:19] and social content and we were the most
[00:39:22] engaged provider of that kind of content
[00:39:23] in the world at the time we saw an 80%
[00:39:27] reduction in our traffic and revenue on
[00:39:29] the platform there was a time when it
[00:39:31] was the number one source of our revenue
[00:39:34] and the number one source of our traffic
[00:39:36] and it was cut by over 80% as a result
[00:39:40] of the actions that we've taken around
[00:39:42] this issue the single set of changes
[00:39:44] from this single company has cost the
[00:39:46] daily wire tens and I'm not exaggerating
[00:39:48] when I say very probably hundreds of
[00:39:51] millions of
[00:39:53] dollars and it wasn't the only loss
[00:39:55] because of the trans issue after Michael
[00:39:57] N told the crowd at CPAC that
[00:39:58] transgenderism must be eradicated from
[00:40:00] public life
[00:40:02] entirely no less an adversary than the
[00:40:04] Biden White House itself came out to
[00:40:06] announce him YouTube demonetized Matt
[00:40:09] Walsh's entire channel for discussing
[00:40:11] the biological sex of Dylan Mulaney he's
[00:40:14] a dude by the
[00:40:15] way in some YouTube has demonetized
[00:40:20] 2,000 videos from daily wire since 2020
[00:40:23] and declared 194 videos hateful and
[00:40:26] derogatory just since 2022 the total
[00:40:29] costs of these enforcements just from
[00:40:31] YouTube Against The Daily wire are
[00:40:33] likely between 10 and 20
[00:40:36] million the total cost of the additional
[00:40:38] Shadow Banning and removing from
[00:40:39] recommendation engines and inability to
[00:40:42] retarget the audiences that we weren't
[00:40:43] able to engage with in the first place
[00:40:45] and all the other consequences of our
[00:40:46] stand on the trans issue are well in
[00:40:49] excess of 100 million just so you know
[00:40:52] because big numbers start to sound small
[00:40:54] when we use them all the time when
[00:40:56] you're talking about 100 or $200 million
[00:40:59] in just four years for a company that
[00:41:01] only did $200 million of Revenue uh this
[00:41:04] year and the year before you were
[00:41:06] talking about the difference between
[00:41:08] abject success and close the doors and
[00:41:11] sell off the printer failure that we
[00:41:14] have been able to persevere and survive
[00:41:16] and even Thrive against these kinds of
[00:41:19] attacks almost all of which were
[00:41:21] directly because of the trans issue is
[00:41:25] nothing short of miraculous God himself
[00:41:28] has for some for some reason that is
[00:41:31] beyond my understanding chosen to allow
[00:41:34] us to continue to survive when by
[00:41:37] all right we should not have been able
[00:41:40] to because of the attacks we have taken
[00:41:42] because of the stand that we've made on
[00:41:44] the issue
[00:41:46] transgenderism as I said if that agent
[00:41:48] back in 2019 had told me what the price
[00:41:50] was actually going to be I don't know
[00:41:52] what I would have said I probably would
[00:41:54] have said the same thing because I'm an
[00:41:56] ordinary cuss and also because I had a
[00:41:58] lot less to lose back then which you
[00:42:00] know if he comes along and says the same
[00:42:01] thing to me now as I like to say I'm not
[00:42:04] very good but I'm real expensive you
[00:42:05] know I it's not that I'm not for sale
[00:42:07] it's that no one ever makes an
[00:42:10] offer but damn we had our teeth kicked
[00:42:12] in over this issue again and again and
[00:42:15] again and again I couldn't begin to
[00:42:18] outline all of the
[00:42:20] consequences but here are a few 206
[00:42:23] enforcements from Tik Tok who has
[00:42:25] actually shut down our Channel on
[00:42:27] numerous occasions we've been dropped by
[00:42:30] backend service providers from JW player
[00:42:32] to HubSpot to open web to Aspire we lost
[00:42:34] a multi-million dollar a year email
[00:42:36] business for almost two years because of
[00:42:38] these and other cancellations we were
[00:42:40] blocked by Eventbrite for events related
[00:42:43] to what is a Woman by Target for sales
[00:42:45] of Johnny The Walrus by being who
[00:42:47] canceled our ability to even give them
[00:42:49] our money they wouldn't let us spend
[00:42:50] advertising dollars with them because of
[00:42:52] the trans issue we were restricted and
[00:42:54] banned by Twitter including their
[00:42:56] blocking of Dr Peterson before he ever
[00:42:58] even joined the daily wire and I think
[00:43:00] it's worth noting that Dr Peterson's
[00:43:02] rise to International prominence largely
[00:43:04] began with a refusal to buckle on the
[00:43:06] issue of preferred pronouns one might
[00:43:09] say that while the daily wire has been a
[00:43:11] leader on this issue we have also
[00:43:12] attracted other people who were willing
[00:43:14] to fight the fight on this issue to join
[00:43:16] us and Dr Peterson is an obvious example
[00:43:18] another leader on the issue who chose to
[00:43:20] join the daily wire even conservative
[00:43:23] media organizations refuse to have our
[00:43:26] talent on their shows at various times
[00:43:28] because of our rigidity on this issue
[00:43:31] everyone wanted us to just get over
[00:43:35] it but we kept fighting we launched our
[00:43:38] children's streamer bentkey specifically
[00:43:40] because of Disney's quote not so secret
[00:43:42] gay agenda of adding queerness into
[00:43:44] content for little kids we fought
[00:43:47] against garm for trying to enforce their
[00:43:48] ideology on us at the cost of our ad
[00:43:51] revenue and Ben was called to testify on
[00:43:53] Capitol Hill we even dropped our HR uh
[00:43:57] they call it HR am like our HR backend
[00:43:59] provider where you used to all log in
[00:44:01] and see why your paycheck
[00:44:04] bounced one time one time but we we
[00:44:09] dropped that entire service because they
[00:44:11] were requiring us to put pronouns in
[00:44:13] everyone's
[00:44:15] profiles at every single turn we dropped
[00:44:18] law firms who required us to identify
[00:44:21] our pronouns every single turn we made
[00:44:23] the decision that was worse for business
[00:44:27] because it was right for our mission
[00:44:29] because this company exists for two
[00:44:30] reasons a business reason yes and a
[00:44:33] missional reason also and there's
[00:44:35] tension between those two missions and
[00:44:38] when in doubt we choose our
[00:44:42] values the fundamental thing that we
[00:44:44] will be accused of by people who watch
[00:44:47] this video is sure you did all of that
[00:44:51] but you did it to make money you did it
[00:44:54] to sell books you did it to sell sell
[00:44:57] tickets to your movies you did it to get
[00:45:00] traffic on the platforms what I'm
[00:45:01] telling you first of all is that it's
[00:45:03] not by accident that the daily wire has
[00:45:05] aligned the profit motive with our
[00:45:08] missional interests we did that
[00:45:09] deliberately because we know how human
[00:45:11] incentives work we know that we will be
[00:45:13] more likely to accomplish our missional
[00:45:16] our values-based mission if we are also
[00:45:19] accomplishing a business
[00:45:22] Mission but I assure you that at every
[00:45:25] single point at which we made one of
[00:45:28] these
[00:45:29] decisions we thought that it wasn't
[00:45:31] going to be financially
[00:45:33] successful we thought there was a chance
[00:45:36] we were taking a bet on the audience we
[00:45:38] were putting our faith in the audience
[00:45:39] we were assuming that if we felt the way
[00:45:41] that we felt surely somebody else felt
[00:45:43] the way that we felt also and that maybe
[00:45:46] if we had the courage of our convictions
[00:45:48] to stand to stand up when others were
[00:45:49] not standing up that maybe that audience
[00:45:51] would have our back and yes that did
[00:45:53] redown to our
[00:45:55] benefit not to the price of the hundreds
[00:45:58] of millions of dollars that we've been
[00:46:00] denied by company after Company by Tech
[00:46:04] Giant after Tech Giant and again
[00:46:06] sometimes even by other people in the
[00:46:08] conservative movement now that is as
[00:46:12] I've said all along that is not to say
[00:46:13] that we were alone in this fight there
[00:46:16] were a lot of important voices in the
[00:46:17] fight Abigail shrier and Riley Gaines
[00:46:19] and Seth Dylan and H richichi and Meg
[00:46:22] Kelly Elon must spent $44 billion uh to
[00:46:25] restore in part to restore toward the
[00:46:27] Babylon B after they made a very brave
[00:46:29] stand and refused to take down a post
[00:46:30] about a man dressed as a woman in the
[00:46:32] federal government and of course there
[00:46:34] are many many many
[00:46:37] more but they weren't all there from the
[00:46:40] beginning many of the people who did
[00:46:42] some of the best work on this
[00:46:44] topic in part felt the freedom to do so
[00:46:48] because we had taken big risks ahead of
[00:46:50] them still others of them only even
[00:46:54] agreed with the concept of doing it
[00:46:57] because they read a book by Abigail
[00:46:58] shrier because they watched a movie by
[00:47:00] Matt Walsh because they read an article
[00:47:02] by Luke rosak because they saw a video
[00:47:04] of Ben Shapiro asking a college student
[00:47:07] why she wasn't
[00:47:08] 60 which is one of the biggest viral
[00:47:11] moments in the history of the company
[00:47:12] from the very earliest days of the daily
[00:47:16] wire and the presence of those other
[00:47:18] great warriors in the fight doesn't
[00:47:20] change the fact that for a decade now
[00:47:22] the daily wire has been leading on this
[00:47:24] issue more and more and more effectively
[00:47:26] than any other organization in American
[00:47:28] public life and for that reason every
[00:47:31] single one of you and everyone who has
[00:47:33] ever worked here in the past and every
[00:47:36] subscriber and every former subscriber
[00:47:38] who subscribed to the Daily wire
[00:47:40] sometime in the past and everyone who
[00:47:41] listens and shares and everyone who
[00:47:43] engages with our advertisers and every
[00:47:45] Advertiser who's ever advertised on our
[00:47:47] shows and Stood Beside us should feel
[00:47:50] some pride of ownership in this
[00:47:52] remarkable moment we all deserve to
[00:47:55] recognize the role that we've played and
[00:47:57] to savor this enormous
[00:47:59] Victory
[00:48:01] [Applause]
[00:48:10] it's it's easy to say of conservatives
[00:48:13] that for all our talk we don't actually
[00:48:15] conserve anything it's easy to say but
[00:48:19] it's a
[00:48:20] lie our work matters our dedication to
[00:48:24] our principles matters these battles
[00:48:27] aren't short and victory is never
[00:48:29] guaranteed but when we take great risks
[00:48:31] on behalf of what's right sometimes God
[00:48:34] allows us to participate in some small
[00:48:36] way in world changing events the daily
[00:48:39] wire fights this team fights our
[00:48:42] audience fights and sometimes we
[00:48:47] win there are a lot of people who don't
[00:48:49] like the daily wire that comes with the
[00:48:51] territory and it's fine but we take
[00:48:54] great risks and we have been a part of
[00:48:56] great victories if you're employed in
[00:48:58] this country today and you're
[00:49:00] unvaccinated you should know that the
[00:49:02] daily wire alongside a small handful of
[00:49:04] other companies made that possible by
[00:49:07] daring to take on the federal government
[00:49:10] if you think sure that's just what you
[00:49:12] do for a living I would encourage you to
[00:49:15] pick a fight with people who can audit
[00:49:17] you and regulate you and who can and do
[00:49:20] regulate and threaten the people on
[00:49:22] Whose platforms we conduct Almost 100%
[00:49:25] of our business
[00:49:27] and if your child or grandchild should
[00:49:29] struggle as millions of children do with
[00:49:32] questions about their identity and how
[00:49:33] to feel comfortable in their own skin
[00:49:35] you should know that the daily wire
[00:49:37] along with a handful of other allies
[00:49:39] played a pivotal role in helping to make
[00:49:41] sure that your government can't pre on
[00:49:43] them in their weakest moments and then
[00:49:45] castrate them while they're still too
[00:49:47] young to
[00:49:49] drive this year marks the 10y year
[00:49:51] anniversary of the daily wire as I said
[00:49:53] and that means 10 years of fighting this
[00:49:55] particular fight
[00:49:57] through every one of those battles God
[00:49:58] has blessed us even with all the risks
[00:50:01] and all of the challenges and even after
[00:50:03] all of the defeats we've managed to grow
[00:50:05] in size we've managed to grow in
[00:50:08] strength we've managed to grow in
[00:50:09] revenue and in reach we're bigger today
[00:50:11] than we've ever been and we're fighting
[00:50:13] harder for our values than we have ever
[00:50:16] fought over the coming months we'll do a
[00:50:19] lot to mark this enormous Milestone 10
[00:50:22] years of the daily wire and I look
[00:50:24] forward to getting back together and ing
[00:50:26] a glass to that unbelievable moment and
[00:50:29] sharing also with you and the audience
[00:50:31] some of the fun ways that we're going to
[00:50:32] celebrate between now and September 21st
[00:50:35] which According to some arguments is
[00:50:37] actually the first day because it's the
[00:50:38] first day of the Ben of the Ben of hero
[00:50:40] show there's an argument for July which
[00:50:42] is the first day we started paying Ben
[00:50:45] Shapiro and there's an argument for
[00:50:47] October which is when we launch the
[00:50:48] website but I think September 21st is
[00:50:50] the appropriate day because it's the
[00:50:52] first day that we appeared on the public
[00:50:54] scene
[00:50:58] but reading the news yesterday couldn't
[00:51:00] help but think that today in this
[00:51:01] enormous Victory is just an excellent
[00:51:04] way to kick off festivities so to
[00:51:06] everyone in this room and to those
[00:51:08] who've been with us on this journey
[00:51:09] through this last decade fighting these
[00:51:11] battles and other battles that are yet
[00:51:12] to be one you have my deepest thanks we
[00:51:16] did it together savor it thank God for
[00:51:20] it thank one another for it thank all
[00:51:23] the Warriors who've taken the field to
[00:51:25] defend our children thank Donald Trump
[00:51:28] for winning his reelection which is the
[00:51:29] number one job of a politician is to win
[00:51:33] and for having the courage in his
[00:51:34] victory to do things that other
[00:51:35] Republican presidents have lacked the
[00:51:38] courage of their convictions to actually
[00:51:40] take
[00:51:41] on and then let it
[00:51:43] go because the only way to thrive in
[00:51:46] this world is to hold lightly to those
[00:51:48] victories and to move on to the next
[00:51:50] challenge and win yet again thank you
[00:51:58] [Music]
[00:52:03] president Trump issued a historic
[00:52:04] executive order protecting children from
[00:52:06] chemical and surgical mutilation this is
[00:52:08] a giant victory for the right and a
[00:52:09] complete reversal of the trend of social
[00:52:11] leftism from where it was even 5 years
[00:52:14] ago what is a woman what is a woman what
[00:52:18] is a woman what is a woman what is a
[00:52:20] woman did you tell me that controversy
[00:52:22] continues to spread why aren you
[00:52:24] 60 you can't magically change your
[00:52:27] gender you can't magically change your
[00:52:29] sex you can't magically change your age
[00:52:31] you don't know what you're talking about
