[00:00:01] Senator Graham, welcome back to [00:00:02] Washington Watch. Thanks for joining us. [00:00:04] >> Hey, thank you, Tony. [00:00:06] >> Talk about chilling free speech. Arctic [00:00:08] frost. They're tracking you. What' they [00:00:10] hear? What' they find out? [00:00:11] >> Yeah. Well, this is not about free [00:00:13] speech. It's about separation of powers. [00:00:16] is about my ability as the chairman of [00:00:18] the judiciary committee uh January 4th [00:00:22] through the 7th to find out what I need [00:00:24] to learn before I vote to certify an [00:00:26] election, whether or not my committee uh [00:00:29] and the Senate should do an [00:00:30] investigation of what happened in 2020. [00:00:34] Uh we're a separate branch of [00:00:36] government. the idea that Jack um [00:00:39] Smith's FBI agents in 2023 [00:00:44] would look at my phone records as to who [00:00:47] I called, where I was at, and how long [00:00:49] those phone calls lasted is [00:00:52] unconstitutional in my view. Uh is [00:00:55] appalling and should make people worried [00:00:58] all over the country. Uh whether you [00:01:01] like me or not, this is a very big deal. [00:01:04] Cash Patel and Dan Banino have done a [00:01:07] great job cleaning up this mess and I [00:01:09] will let you know what I learn in the [00:01:11] future. [00:01:12] >> Well, chairman of the Judiciary [00:01:13] Committee Chuck Grassley said that this [00:01:16] is arguably worse than Watergate. You [00:01:18] agree? [00:01:19] >> Yeah. Well, just think about it. There [00:01:21] are eight United States senators, all [00:01:22] Republican, uh that were surveiled uh by [00:01:26] FBI agents working for Jack Smith. What [00:01:29] people got to realize that Jack Smith [00:01:31] was a special counsel appointed to [00:01:34] investigate Trump. Uh he was appointed [00:01:38] three days after Trump announced in 2022 [00:01:42] he was going to run for office again. [00:01:45] Within 5 months of President Trump [00:01:47] announcing in 2022 he would seek the [00:01:50] nomination for the Republican party in [00:01:52] 2024 to run for president. There were [00:01:56] five u four jurisdictions indicted him [00:02:00] with 60 or 70 felony charges. [00:02:04] New York, the attorney general, [00:02:06] >> right? [00:02:06] >> Manhattan uh DA uh Fulton County DA [00:02:10] Fanny Willis, Jack Smith brought charges [00:02:13] against him for mishandling classified [00:02:16] information and trying to, you know, [00:02:19] change the outcome of the 2020 election. [00:02:21] One indictment in Washington DC, the [00:02:23] other in Florida. So within five months [00:02:26] of announcing he's going to run again, [00:02:28] he had four of the most liberal [00:02:30] jurisdictions in the country, load him [00:02:32] up with charges. And I think it wasn't [00:02:34] about 2020. It was designed to stop him [00:02:37] for 2024. In 2023, we now know Jack [00:02:42] Smith FBI agents were looking at my [00:02:44] phone calls and that of my fellow [00:02:45] colleagues regarding 2020. Uh this is a [00:02:49] big deal. And [00:02:51] >> we haven't heard the last of this. We're [00:02:53] going to hear more. [00:02:54] Yeah, I hope so. [00:02:56] >> Okay. All right. Because a lot of times [00:02:58] we hear these things and then we just [00:02:59] kind of move on because there's some [00:03:00] other outrageous thing that happens. But [00:03:02] you're right. This is a this is [00:03:04] separation of powers. This is a big [00:03:06] deal. If it's not addressed, it'll [00:03:08] happen again. [00:03:09] >> Amen. [00:03:10] >> All right, let's move on because I only [00:03:11] have four more minutes and there's a lot [00:03:13] to cover. Uh I I want to talk about very [00:03:16] quickly government shutdown. Uh we're [00:03:18] in, you know, day seven here and there's [00:03:20] now talk the president said he might be [00:03:22] open to some negotiations over these um [00:03:26] subsidies, these premium subsidies for [00:03:29] ACA or the Obamacare. [00:03:31] >> What do we know? [00:03:33] >> Well, I think I don't know how this [00:03:34] movie is going to end, but I know this. [00:03:37] Whether you when you have a policy [00:03:38] dispute, you don't shut down the [00:03:41] government to resolve it. That's holding [00:03:42] people hostage. Um, these subsidies [00:03:45] we're talking about are Obamacare. Um, [00:03:48] they apply to people that make 400% [00:03:50] above poverty, [00:03:51] >> right? [00:03:51] >> Insurance companies get paid for [00:03:53] everybody they enroll. I think there's a [00:03:55] lot of fraud. It needs to be reformed. [00:03:57] And I'm not going to extend these [00:03:59] subsidies in the current form. Okay? [00:04:00] >> And shutting down the government to get [00:04:02] me to do that is not going to work. And [00:04:04] I hope we all [00:04:05] >> and and it should be known that these [00:04:07] were only done for like during the COVID [00:04:09] era. It was supposed to be a short term [00:04:11] >> behind us. That's right. Right. Exactly. [00:04:13] and and and but one thing uh Senator [00:04:15] Graham, uh if these are negotiated [00:04:17] either post a government shutdown, if [00:04:21] the thing about Obamacare, the ACA, it [00:04:23] does not have hide protections. This [00:04:25] ought to be a part of the conversation. [00:04:27] >> Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. As [00:04:29] a matter of fact, uh you know, CO's [00:04:31] behind us. Obamacare is just escalates [00:04:34] in costs like we said it would. [00:04:36] Obamacare is not healthc care reform. is [00:04:39] taking money from the middle class to [00:04:41] give to people in lower income levels [00:04:44] their health care virtually free. It's a [00:04:47] reallocation of money to create health [00:04:50] care programs for people based on [00:04:52] income. And the most of the money is [00:04:55] coming from the middle class, [00:04:56] >> right? [00:04:57] >> Uh you're paying more, some people get [00:04:59] it for free. That's not healthc care [00:05:01] reform. That's sort of redistribution. [00:05:02] >> Well, you know who gets the biggest cut [00:05:04] is the insurance companies are making a [00:05:06] killing off it. [00:05:08] uh killing. They get paid for every [00:05:09] person they sign up and some of these [00:05:11] people may not even exist. That's what I [00:05:13] want to look at. [00:05:14] >> So, it's the fraud and just throw [00:05:16] trillions of dollars at it. You're going [00:05:17] to get more fraud. All right, less than [00:05:19] two minutes uh left. Senator Graham, [00:05:21] today October 7th, two years ago, Hamas [00:05:25] launched this attack on Israel. It now [00:05:27] appears the world's turned against [00:05:28] Israel, not Hamas. [00:05:31] >> Yeah, it's kind of sad. Uh you know, [00:05:33] people don't like strong Jewish people [00:05:35] apparently. Every time Israel is strong, [00:05:38] it gets condemned. Anti-semitism [00:05:41] exists, but every time Israel fights [00:05:44] back and strikes back, the world piles [00:05:47] on. Two years ago today, the largest [00:05:49] loss of Jewish life occurred in the most [00:05:51] barbaric attack since the Holocaust. It [00:05:54] was designed to prevent Saudi Arabia [00:05:56] from recognizing Israel. It is directly [00:05:59] related to Iran's support for mos. They [00:06:02] filmed it so you couldn't look away. I [00:06:04] am more dedicated than ever to [00:06:05] destroying Hamas. Make sure they never [00:06:08] come back and see if we can get Saudi [00:06:10] Arabia and Israel back on track to end [00:06:12] the Arab-Israeli conflict. That's the [00:06:14] best way to win this war. [00:06:16] >> Does that 20point plan eliminate Hamas [00:06:19] in the threat of the future? [00:06:21] >> It does, but it's got to Hamas has to [00:06:23] disarm. They can't be part of the future [00:06:26] of the Palestinian world. Is that [00:06:28] negotiable? [00:06:29] >> Is that negotiable? [00:06:30] >> Well, to me, that's non-negotiable. If [00:06:33] that is not achieved, the whole thing [00:06:35] fails. [00:06:37] >> I would agree with you, Senator Lindsey [00:06:38] Graham. Senator, thanks for joining us. [00:06:41] >> God bless.

[00:00:01] Senator Graham, welcome back to [00:00:02] Washington Watch. Thanks for joining us. [00:00:04] >> Hey, thank you, Tony. [00:00:06] >> Talk about chilling free speech.
