[00:00:00] of us that saw uh an appearance uh by
[00:00:02] Ian Carol on uh Joe Rogan's podcast and
[00:00:06] he was talking about your work and I
[00:00:08] have had this question for quite some
[00:00:10] time. Um why haven't you been on to Joe
[00:00:14] Rogan's podcast?
[00:00:16] Yeah, I mean I've been name dropped on
[00:00:18] there by Rogan and other people and have
[00:00:21] not been invited on and I mean obviously
[00:00:24] it's fine. I don't need to go on there.
[00:00:27] Uh, but I found it strange that, you
[00:00:30] know, he would have another person on uh
[00:00:33] to talk about my book that's not me. Um,
[00:00:36] and I would argue, you know, um, again,
[00:00:39] this is speculative, but I would argue
[00:00:41] that, you know, the fact that I don't
[00:00:43] really like either party is very
[00:00:46] inconvenient to some large platforms.
[00:00:49] Um, and so, you know, instead, uh, a
[00:00:52] person that, you know, promoted my
[00:00:55] research, which, you know, thanks for
[00:00:56] doing that. Um, but that promoted my
[00:00:58] research, but their solution, unlike
[00:01:01] mine, um, is to vote Trump. Um, you
[00:01:05] know, I think that's more convenient.
[00:01:07] It's a more convenient package uh, for
[00:01:10] my research than perhaps what I would
[00:01:12] say. Um, and also in that appearance,
[00:01:13] Ian Carroll, even though he promoted my
[00:01:15] book, said that my work on Peter Teal
[00:01:17] and Palanteer uh was unhinged was the
[00:01:21] term that he used um without really
[00:01:24] explaining. So, and it's kind of ironic
[00:01:26] that he would do that because for being
[00:01:28] such a big fan of um my book, at the end
[00:01:30] of the book, uh I talk about how
[00:01:32] Palunteer is the new Jeffrey Epstein.
[00:01:34] And in the age of Palunteer, uh, you do
[00:01:37] not need someone like Jeffrey Epstein or
[00:01:39] any other figure in history that engaged
[00:01:42] in sex blackmail, you don't need to do
[00:01:44] that kind of operation anymore. You can
[00:01:46] just uh either harvest all of the data
[00:01:49] you would need for blackmail off of
[00:01:50] people's digital devices or you planti
[00:01:53] you plant things on their devices that
[00:01:55] are incriminating but don't actually
[00:01:57] belong to them.
[00:02:00] and Peter Teal and Epstein had a
[00:02:02] significant relationship. More has come
[00:02:04] out about it, uh, you know, from
[00:02:06] mainstream sources in the past few
[00:02:08] months. You know, I first wrote about
[00:02:09] their overlap in 2019.
[00:02:12] Um, and so, you know, it's been part of
[00:02:14] my work on Epstein for a long time, and
[00:02:16] I don't really think you can separate my
[00:02:18] work on Peter Teal and and Epstein, to
[00:02:22] be honest, because they ultimately are
[00:02:25] in service to the same endgame, I would
[00:02:28] think.
[00:02:29] A lot of it is partisan. Do you think
[00:02:31] that's why you're not on a lot of the
[00:02:34] large uh left uh YouTube shows as well?
[00:02:38] It's something I've noticed. Um you
[00:02:40] you've been on my show uh obviously Brie
[00:02:43] show, Bad Faith. I've seen you on Katie
[00:02:44] Halper, but I noticed that people have
[00:02:47] pointed this out. They said, "Why isn't
[00:02:48] Whitney Webb invited on to the large
[00:02:51] large left shows, the ones that have
[00:02:53] like a million subscribers?"
[00:02:56] Uh I don't know. I I think it might have
[00:02:58] something to do um with my stance during
[00:03:01] COVID. Um I was very against a lot of
[00:03:04] the authoritarian policies that were
[00:03:06] implemented. Um I wrote a lot about um
[00:03:08] you know how the the formation of the
[00:03:11] biocurity state where national security
[00:03:13] and public health have fused the role of
[00:03:16] Palunteer. Um I criticized uh you know
[00:03:19] the vaccine roll out operation warp
[00:03:21] speed having that led by the military
[00:03:23] under Trump. I mean, among other things,
[00:03:26] but you know, I don't really know. I'm
[00:03:28] sure I have stances that bother them
[00:03:30] [laughter]
[00:03:31] beyond that, you know. Um, and then I
[00:03:34] know, you know, of course, that there's
[00:03:36] a particular figure on the Well, I don't
[00:03:39] even know if he's considered on the left
[00:03:40] anymore, but he doesn't like me. That
[00:03:42] would be Glenn Greenwald. Uh, I did some
[00:03:45] critical reporting back when I was on
[00:03:46] Mint Press about the Intercept um and
[00:03:48] how so many of their whistleblowers went
[00:03:50] to prison allegedly due to reporter
[00:03:53] malfeas. it's not Greenwald
[00:03:55] specifically, but other people that were
[00:03:57] there at the time he was there. Um, and
[00:03:59] also, you know, wrote an article
[00:04:00] criticizing the uh Intercepts closure of
[00:04:03] the Snowden archives, the Snowden
[00:04:05] documents. Uh, because, you know, less
[00:04:09] like 90% of the Snowden documents were
[00:04:12] never published and now it's closed. So,
[00:04:15] bye. Um, and I, you know, talked about
[00:04:18] how the owner of PayPal, Pierre Omidar,
[00:04:20] was also the owner of the Intercept and
[00:04:21] PayPal and also Omidiar's eBay, you
[00:04:24] know, had long-standing uh, connections
[00:04:27] to, you know, intelligence world. And
[00:04:30] Pierre Omidiar was uh, one of the most
[00:04:32] frequent visitors to the Obama White
[00:04:34] House and things like that. And
[00:04:35] Greenwald said that Omidar had no
[00:04:37] influence on the Intercept at all at the
[00:04:39] time and really does not like me.
[00:04:42] though. Oh my gosh. I didn't know. I
[00:04:45] didn't know. Oh, it's okay. I mean,
[00:04:49] >> I went hard at Greenwald for that
[00:04:51] because I thought he was the greatest
[00:04:53] when the Snowden stuff came out. Uh, and
[00:04:55] I found that very disappointing. Um,
[00:05:00] so I don't know. I mean, I don't really
[00:05:03] want to continue having a beef beef with
[00:05:05] him necessarily. Um, and I stand by my
[00:05:08] reporting from from that time. I don't
[00:05:10] think it was right what happened to
[00:05:12] Reality Winner and some of these other
[00:05:13] people that went to jail.
