[00:00:28] far too many people know one of them is
[00:00:31] small businesses I was actually my
[00:00:33] mother raised my sister and me but there
[00:00:35] was a woman who helped raise us we call
[00:00:37] her our second mother she was a small
[00:00:39] business owner I love our small
[00:00:41] businesses my plan is to give a
[00:00:44] $50,000 tax deduction to start up small
[00:00:47] businesses knowing they are part of the
[00:00:49] backbone of America's economy my
[00:00:52] opponent on the other hand his plan is
[00:00:54] to do what he has done before which is
[00:00:56] to provide a tax cut for billionaires
[00:00:59] and big corpor corporations which will
[00:01:01] result in $5 trillion to America's
[00:01:04] deficit my opponent has a plan that I
[00:01:06] call the Trump's sales tax which would
[00:01:08] be a 20% tax everyday Goods that you
[00:01:12] rely on do to get through the month
[00:01:15] economists have said that that Trump
[00:01:17] sales tax would actually result for
[00:01:20] middle class families in about $4,000
[00:01:23] more a year because of his policies and
[00:01:27] his ideas about what should be the backs
[00:01:31] of middleclass people paying for tax
[00:01:33] cuts for billionaires president Trump
[00:01:35] I'll give you two minutes first of all I
[00:01:37] have no sales tax that's an incorrect
[00:01:39] statement she knows that uh we're doing
[00:01:42] tariffs on other countries other
[00:01:43] countries are going to finally after 75
[00:01:46] years pay us back for all that we've
[00:01:48] done for the world and the Tariff will
[00:01:51] be substantial in some cases I took in
[00:01:53] billions and billions of dollars as you
[00:01:55] know from China in fact they never took
[00:01:57] the Tariff off because it was so much
[00:01:59] money they can't it would totally
[00:02:00] destroy everything that they've set out
[00:02:02] to do they're taking in billions of
[00:02:04] dollars from China and other places
[00:02:06] they've left the tariffs on when I had
[00:02:08] it I had tariffs and yet I had no
[00:02:10] inflation uh look we've had a terrible
[00:02:13] economy because inflation has which is
[00:02:15] really known as a country Buster it
[00:02:17] breaks up countries we have inflation
[00:02:20] like very few people have ever seen
[00:02:22] before probably the worst in our
[00:02:23] nation's history we were at 21% but
[00:02:27] that's being generous because many
[00:02:28] things are 50 60 70 and 80% higher than
[00:02:31] they were just a few years ago this has
[00:02:34] been a disaster for people for the
[00:02:35] middle class but for every class on top
[00:02:38] of that we have millions of people
[00:02:40] pouring into our country from prisons
[00:02:42] and jails from mental institutions and
[00:02:45] insane asylums and they're coming in and
[00:02:47] they're taking jobs that are occupied
[00:02:50] right now by African-Americans and
[00:02:52] Hispanics and also unions unions are
[00:02:55] going to be affected very soon and you
[00:02:57] see what's happening you see what's
[00:02:58] happening with towns throughout the
[00:03:00] United States you look at Springfield
[00:03:02] Ohio you look at Aurora in Colorado they
[00:03:05] are taking over the towns they're taking
[00:03:07] over buildings they're going in
[00:03:09] violently these are the people that she
[00:03:12] and Biden led into our country and
[00:03:15] they're destroying our country they're
[00:03:17] dangerous they're at the highest level
[00:03:19] of criminality and we have to get them
[00:03:22] out we have to get them out fast I
[00:03:23] created one of the greatest economies in
[00:03:26] the history of our country I'll do it
[00:03:28] again and even better we are going to
[00:03:30] get to immigration and border security
[00:03:32] during this debate but uh I would like
[00:03:34] to let vice president Harris respond on
[00:03:35] the economy here well I would love to
[00:03:38] let's talk about what Donald Trump left
[00:03:41] us Donald Trump left us the worst
[00:03:44] unemployment since the Great Depression
[00:03:47] Donald Trump left us the worst Public
[00:03:50] Health epidemic in a century Donald
[00:03:54] Trump left us the worst attack on our
[00:03:58] democracy since the Civil War and what
[00:04:02] we have done is clean up Donald Trump's
[00:04:04] mess what we have done and what I intend
[00:04:07] to do is build on what we know are the
[00:04:10] aspirations and the hopes of the
[00:04:11] American people but I'm going to tell
[00:04:12] youall in this debate tonight you're
[00:04:14] going to hear from the same old tired
[00:04:17] Playbook a bunch of Lies Grievances and
[00:04:20] name calling what you're going to hear
[00:04:22] tonight is a detailed and dangerous Plan
[00:04:26] called project 2025 that the former
[00:04:28] president intends on on implementing if
[00:04:30] he were elected to again I believe very
[00:04:34] strongly that the American people want a
[00:04:37] president who understands the importance
[00:04:39] of bringing us together know we have so
[00:04:41] much more in common than what separates
[00:04:43] us and I pledge to you to be a president
[00:04:45] for all Americans president Trump I'll
[00:04:47] give you a minute here to respond number
[00:04:49] one I have nothing to do as you know and
[00:04:50] as she knows better than anyone I have
[00:04:52] nothing to do with project 2025 uh
[00:04:55] that's out there I haven't read it I
[00:04:57] don't want to read it purposely I'm not
[00:04:59] going to read it this was a group of
[00:05:00] people that got together they came up
[00:05:02] with some ideas I guess some good some
[00:05:04] bad but it makes no difference I have
[00:05:06] nothing to do everybody knows I'm an
[00:05:08] open book everybody knows what I'm going
[00:05:09] to do cut taxes very substantially and
[00:05:12] create a great economy like I did before
[00:05:14] we had the greatest economy we got hit
[00:05:16] with a pandemic and the pandemic was not
[00:05:19] since 1917 where 100 million people died
[00:05:23] has there been anything like it we did a
[00:05:24] phenomenal job with the pandemic we
[00:05:27] handed them over a country where the
[00:05:30] economy and where the stock market was
[00:05:32] higher than it was before the pandemic
[00:05:34] came in nobody's ever seen anything like
[00:05:36] it we made ventilators for the entire
[00:05:39] world we got gowns we got masks we did
[00:05:41] things that nobody thought possible and
[00:05:43] people give me credit for rebuilding the
[00:05:45] military they give me credit for a lot
[00:05:47] of things but not enough credit for the
[00:05:49] great job we did with the pandemic but
[00:05:51] the only jobs they got were bounceback
[00:05:53] jobs these with jobs bounc back and it
[00:05:55] bounced back and it went to their
[00:05:57] benefit but I was the one that created
[00:05:59] them they know it and so does everybody
[00:06:01] else vice president Harris I'll let you
[00:06:03] respond
[00:06:04] so Donald Trump has no plan for you and
[00:06:08] when you look at his economic plan it's
[00:06:10] all about tax breaks for the richest
[00:06:12] people I am offering what I describe as
[00:06:15] an opportunity economy and the best
[00:06:18] economists in our country if not the
[00:06:20] world have reviewed our relative plans
[00:06:23] for the future of America what Goldman
[00:06:26] Sachs has said is that Donald Trump's
[00:06:29] plan would make the economy worse mine
[00:06:31] would strengthen the economy what the
[00:06:33] Wharton School has said is Donald
[00:06:35] Trump's plan would actually explode the
[00:06:39] deficit 16 Nobel laurates have described
[00:06:43] his economic plan as something that
[00:06:45] would increase inflation and by the
[00:06:47] middle of next year would invite a
[00:06:49] recession you just have to look at where
[00:06:53] we are and where we stand on the issues
[00:06:54] and I'd invite you to know that Donald
[00:06:57] Trump actually has no plan for you
[00:07:00] because he is more interested in
[00:07:01] defending himself than he is in looking
[00:07:03] out for you that's just a sound but they
[00:07:06] gave her that to say look I went to the
[00:07:08] Wharton School of finance and many of
[00:07:10] those professors the top professors
[00:07:12] think my plan is a brilliant plan it's a
[00:07:14] great plan it's a plan that's going to
[00:07:16] bring up our our worth our value as a
[00:07:18] country it's going to make people want
[00:07:20] to be able to go and work and uh create
[00:07:23] jobs and create a lot of good solid
[00:07:26] money for our for our country and just
[00:07:28] to finish off uh she doesn't have a plan
[00:07:32] she copied Biden's plan and it's like
[00:07:35] four sentences like Run Spot Run four
[00:07:39] sentences that are just oh we'll try and
[00:07:41] lower taxes she doesn't have a plan take
[00:07:43] a look at her plan she doesn't have a
[00:07:45] plan Mr President I do want to drill
[00:07:47] down on something you both brought up uh
[00:07:49] the vice president brought up your
[00:07:51] tariffs you responded and let's drill
[00:07:53] down on this because your plan is what
[00:07:55] she calls is essentially a national
[00:07:57] sales tax your proposal calls for
[00:07:58] tariffs as you pointed out here on
[00:08:00] Foreign imports across the board you
[00:08:02] recently said that you might double your
[00:08:03] plan imposing tariffs up to 20% on Goods
[00:08:06] coming into this country as you know
[00:08:08] many economists say that with tariffs at
[00:08:10] that level costs are then passed on to
[00:08:12] the consumer vice president Harris has
[00:08:14] argued it'll mean higher prices on gas
[00:08:16] food clothing medication arguing it
[00:08:19] costs the typical family nearly $4,000 a
[00:08:21] year do you believe Americans can afford
[00:08:24] higher prices because of tariffs they're
[00:08:25] not going to have higher prices what's
[00:08:27] going to have and who's going to have
[00:08:28] higher prices is China and all of the
[00:08:31] countries that have been ripping us off
[00:08:33] for years I charged I was the only
[00:08:35] president ever China was paying us
[00:08:37] hundreds of billions of dollars and so
[00:08:40] were other countries and you know if she
[00:08:42] doesn't like them they should have gone
[00:08:43] out and they should have immediately cut
[00:08:45] the tariffs but those tariffs are there
[00:08:46] three and a half years now under their
[00:08:49] Administration we are going to take in
[00:08:52] billions of dollars hundreds of billions
[00:08:54] of dollars I had no inflation virtually
[00:08:57] no inflation they had the high highest
[00:08:59] inflation perhaps in the history of our
[00:09:01] country because I've never seen a worse
[00:09:03] period of time people can't go out and
[00:09:05] buy cereal or bacon or eggs or anything
[00:09:08] else these the people of our country are
[00:09:11] absolutely dying with what they've done
[00:09:14] they've destroyed the economy and all
[00:09:16] you have to do is look at a poll the
[00:09:17] polls say 80 and 85 and even 90% that
[00:09:21] the Trump economy was great that their
[00:09:24] economy was terrible vice president
[00:09:25] Harris I do want to ask for your
[00:09:27] response and you heard what the
[00:09:28] president said there because the
[00:09:29] Administration did keep a number of the
[00:09:31] Trump tariffs in place so how do you
[00:09:33] respond well let's be clear that the
[00:09:35] Trump Administration resulted in a trade
[00:09:38] deficit one of the highest we've ever
[00:09:40] seen in the history of America he
[00:09:42] invited trade Wars you want to talk
[00:09:44] about his deal with China what he ended
[00:09:47] up doing is under Donald Trump's
[00:09:49] presidency he ended up selling American
[00:09:53] chips to China to help them improve and
[00:09:57] modernize their military basically sold
[00:10:00] us out when a policy about China should
[00:10:03] be in making sure the United States of
[00:10:05] America wins the competition for the
[00:10:07] 21st century which means focusing on the
[00:10:10] details of what that requires focusing
[00:10:13] on relationships with our allies
[00:10:15] focusing on investing in american-based
[00:10:17] technology so that we win the race on AI
[00:10:21] on Quantum Computing focusing on what we
[00:10:24] need to do to support America's
[00:10:26] Workforce so that we don't end up having
[00:10:29] the on the short end of the stick in
[00:10:31] terms of workers rights but what Donald
[00:10:34] Trump did let's talk about this with
[00:10:36] covid is he actually thanked president
[00:10:39] XI for what he did during Co look at his
[00:10:42] tweet thank you president XI exclamation
[00:10:45] point when we know that she was
[00:10:48] responsible for lacking and not giving
[00:10:51] us transparency about the origins of
[00:10:53] covid President Trump I'll let you
[00:10:55] respond first of all they bought their
[00:10:56] chips from Taiwan we hardly make chips
[00:10:59] anymore because of uh philosophies like
[00:11:02] they have and policies like they have I
[00:11:05] don't say her because she has no policy
[00:11:07] everything that she believed three years
[00:11:09] ago and four years ago is out the window
[00:11:12] she's going to My Philosophy now in fact
[00:11:14] I was going to send her a magga hat
[00:11:16] she's gone to My Philosophy but if she
[00:11:18] ever got elected she' change it and it
[00:11:21] will be the end of our country she's a
[00:11:23] Marxist everybody knows she's a Marxist
[00:11:26] her father's a Marxist professor in
[00:11:28] economics and he taught her well but
[00:11:31] when you look at what she's done to our
[00:11:33] country and when you look at these
[00:11:35] millions and millions of people that are
[00:11:36] pouring into our country monthly where
[00:11:39] it's I believe 21 million people not the
[00:11:41] 15 that people say and I think it's a
[00:11:43] lot higher than the 21 that's bigger
[00:11:45] than New York State pouring in and just
[00:11:48] look at what they're doing to our
[00:11:49] country they're criminals many of these
[00:11:51] people coming in are criminals and
[00:11:53] that's bad for our economy too you know
[00:11:55] you mentioned before we'll talk about
[00:11:57] immigration later well bad immigration
[00:11:59] is the worst thing that can happen to
[00:12:00] our economy they have and she has
[00:12:04] destroyed our country with policy that's
[00:12:08] insane almost policy that you'd say they
[00:12:11] have to hate our country president Trump
[00:12:13] thank you Lindsay I want to turn to the
[00:12:15] issue of abortion president Trump you've
[00:12:17] often touted that you were able to kill
[00:12:19] roie Wade last year you said that you
[00:12:21] were proud to be the most pro-life
[00:12:24] president in American history then last
[00:12:26] month you said that your Administration
[00:12:28] would be great for women and their
[00:12:29] Reproductive Rights in your home state
[00:12:31] of Florida you surprised many uh with
[00:12:34] regard to your six- we abortion ban
[00:12:35] because you initially had said that it
[00:12:37] was too short and you said quote I'm
[00:12:39] going to be voting that we need more
[00:12:41] than six weeks but then the very next
[00:12:43] day you reverse course and said you
[00:12:45] would vote to support the six we ban
[00:12:47] vice president Harris says that women
[00:12:49] shouldn't trust you on the issue of of
[00:12:51] abortion because you've changed your
[00:12:54] position so many times therefore why
[00:12:56] should they trust you well the reason
[00:12:57] I'm doing that vote is because because
[00:12:59] the plan is as you know the vote is they
[00:13:02] have abortion in the ninth month they
[00:13:05] even have and you can look at the
[00:13:07] governor of West Virginia the previous
[00:13:08] governor of West Virginia not the
[00:13:10] current governor is doing an excellent
[00:13:12] job but the governor before he said the
[00:13:15] baby will be born and we will decide
[00:13:17] what to do with the baby in other words
[00:13:19] we'll execute the baby and that's why I
[00:13:21] did that because that predominates
[00:13:23] because they're radical the Democrats
[00:13:25] are radical in that and her vice
[00:13:28] presidential pick which I think is a
[00:13:30] horrible pick by the way for our country
[00:13:32] because he is really out of it but her
[00:13:34] vice presidential pick says abortion in
[00:13:37] the ninth month is absolutely fine he
[00:13:39] also says execution after birth it's
[00:13:43] execution no longer abortion because the
[00:13:45] baby is born is okay and that's not okay
[00:13:48] with me hence the vote but what I did is
[00:13:50] something for 52 years they've been
[00:13:53] trying to get roie wade into the states
[00:13:57] and through the uh genius and and heart
[00:14:01] and strength of six Supreme Court
[00:14:04] Justices we were able to do that now I
[00:14:07] believe in the exceptions for rape
[00:14:09] incest and life of the mother I believe
[00:14:12] strongly in it Ronald Reagan did also
[00:14:14] 85% of Republicans do exceptions very
[00:14:17] important but we were able to get it and
[00:14:20] now states are voting on it and for the
[00:14:22] first time you're going to see look this
[00:14:25] is an issue that's torn our country
[00:14:27] apart for 50 two years every legal
[00:14:31] scholar every Democrat every Republican
[00:14:34] liberal conservative they all wanted
[00:14:36] this issue to be brought back to the
[00:14:38] states where the people could vote and
[00:14:39] that's what happened happened now Ohio
[00:14:43] the vote was somewhat Liberal Kansas the
[00:14:46] vote was somewhat liberal much more
[00:14:47] liberal than people would have thought
[00:14:49] but each individual state is voting it's
[00:14:52] the vote of the people now it's not tied
[00:14:54] up in the federal government I did a
[00:14:56] great service in doing it it took
[00:14:57] courage to do it and the Supreme Court
[00:14:59] had great courage in doing it and I give
[00:15:02] tremendous credit to those six justices
[00:15:04] there is no state in this country where
[00:15:06] it is legal to kill a baby after it's
[00:15:08] born Madam vice president want to get
[00:15:10] your response to president Trump well as
[00:15:12] I said you're going to hear a bunch of
[00:15:13] lies and that's not actually a
[00:15:15] surprising fact let's understand how we
[00:15:18] got here Donald Trump hand selected
[00:15:22] three members of the United States
[00:15:23] Supreme Court with the intention that
[00:15:25] they would undo the protections of roie
[00:15:27] Wade and they did exactly as he intended
[00:15:31] and now in over 20 states there are
[00:15:34] Trump abortion bans which make it
[00:15:37] criminal for a doctor or nurse to
[00:15:40] provide Health Care in one state it
[00:15:43] provides prison for life Trump abortion
[00:15:46] bans that make no exception even for
[00:15:48] rape and incest which understand what
[00:15:50] that means a survivor of a crime of
[00:15:53] violation to their body does not have
[00:15:56] the right to make a decision about what
[00:15:58] happens to their body next that is
[00:16:01] immoral and one does not have to abandon
[00:16:04] their faith or deeply held beliefs to
[00:16:07] agree the government and Donald Trump
[00:16:10] certainly should not be telling a woman
[00:16:12] what to do with her body I have talked
[00:16:15] with women around our country you want
[00:16:18] to talk about this is what people wanted
[00:16:21] pregnant women who want to carry a
[00:16:24] pregnancy to term suffering from a
[00:16:26] miscarriage being denied care in an
[00:16:28] emergency room because the healthare
[00:16:30] providers are afraid they might go to
[00:16:32] jail and she's bleeding out in a car in
[00:16:34] the parking lot she didn't want that her
[00:16:37] husband didn't want that a 12 or
[00:16:39] 13-year-old Survivor of incest being
[00:16:42] forced to carry a pregnancy to term they
[00:16:45] don't want that and I pledge to you when
[00:16:50] Congress passes a bill to put back in
[00:16:53] place the protections of roie Wade as
[00:16:55] president of the United States I will
[00:16:57] proudly sign it into law but understand
[00:17:02] if Donald Trump were to be reelected he
[00:17:04] will sign a National Abortion ban
[00:17:07] understand in his project 2025 there
[00:17:09] would be a National Abortion a monitor
[00:17:12] that would be monitoring your
[00:17:13] pregnancies your miscarriages I think
[00:17:15] the American people believe that certain
[00:17:19] freedoms in particular the freedom to
[00:17:21] make decisions about one's own body
[00:17:24] should not be made by the government
[00:17:26] thank you vice president Harris well

[00:17:31] signing a ban and there's no reason to
[00:17:32] sign a ban because we've gotten what
[00:17:35] everybody wanted Democrats Republicans
[00:17:38] and everybody else and every legal
[00:17:41] scholar wanted it to be brought back
[00:17:42] into the states and the states are
[00:17:44] voting and it may take a little time but
[00:17:47] for 52 years this issue has torn our

[00:17:56] nobody thought was possible the states
[00:17:58] are now voting what she says is an

[00:18:11] you veto a National Abortion ban if it

[00:18:16] things number one she said she'll go
[00:18:17] back to Congress she'll never get the
[00:18:19] vote there's impossible for her to get
[00:18:20] the vote especially now with the 5050
[00:18:24] and essentially 5050 in both Senate and
[00:18:26] the house she's not going to get the
[00:18:28] vote she can't get the vote she won't
[00:18:29] even come close to it so it's just talk
[00:18:31] you know what it reminds me of when they
[00:18:33] said they're going to get student loans
[00:18:34] terminated and it ended up being a total
[00:18:37] catastrophe the student loans and then
[00:18:40] her I I think probably her boss if you
[00:18:43] call him a boss he spends all his time
[00:18:44] on the beach but look her boss went out
[00:18:47] and said we'll do it again we'll do it a
[00:18:49] different way and he went out got
[00:18:50] rejected Again by the Supreme Court so
[00:18:53] all these students got taunted with this
[00:18:56] whole thing about this whole idea and
[00:18:58] how unfair that would have been part of
[00:19:00] the reason they lost to the millions and
[00:19:03] millions of people that had to pay off
[00:19:04] their student loans they didn't get it
[00:19:06] for free but they were saying it's the
[00:19:08] same way that they talked about that
[00:19:10] that they talk about abortion but if I
[00:19:12] could just get a yes or no because your
[00:19:14] running mate J JD Vance has said that
[00:19:16] you would veto if you did come to your
[00:19:18] desk well I didn't discuss it with JD in
[00:19:20] all fairness uh JD and I I don't mind if
[00:19:24] he has a certain view but I think he was
[00:19:26] speaking for me but I really didn't look
[00:19:29] we don't have to discuss it because
[00:19:31] she'd never be able to get it just like
[00:19:33] she couldn't get student loans they
[00:19:34] couldn't get student loans they didn't
[00:19:35] even come close to getting student loans
[00:19:37] they taunted young people and a lot of
[00:19:40] other people that had loans they can
[00:19:42] never get this approved so it doesn't
[00:19:43] matter what she says about going to
[00:19:45] Congress wonderful let's go to Congress
[00:19:47] do it but the fact is that for years
[00:19:49] they wanted to get it out of Congress
[00:19:51] and out of the federal government and we
[00:19:52] did something that everybody said
[00:19:54] couldn't be done and now you have a vote
[00:19:56] of the people on abortion if I president
[00:19:59] Harris want to give you your time to
[00:20:00] respond but I do want to ask would you
[00:20:02] support any restrictions on a woman's
[00:20:04] right to an abortion I absolutely
[00:20:06] support reinstating the protections of
[00:20:08] roie Wade and as you rightly mentioned
[00:20:12] nowhere in America is a woman carrying a
[00:20:16] pregnancy to term and and and asking for
[00:20:20] an abortion that is not happening it's
[00:20:22] insulting to the women of America and
[00:20:25] understand what has been happening under
[00:20:26] Donald Trump's abortion Bans couples who
[00:20:30] pray and and and and dream of having a
[00:20:33] family are being denied IVF treatments
[00:20:37] what is happening in our country working
[00:20:40] people working women who are working one
[00:20:43] or two jobs who can barely afford child
[00:20:47] care as it is have to travel to another
[00:20:50] state to get on a plane sitting next to
[00:20:53] strangers to go and get the health care
[00:20:56] she needs barely can can afford to do it
[00:20:59] and what you are putting her through is
[00:21:03] unconscionable and the people of America
[00:21:06] have not the majority of Americans
[00:21:08] believe in a woman's right to make
[00:21:09] decisions about her own body and that is
[00:21:12] why in every state where this issue has
[00:21:15] been on the ballot and red and blue
[00:21:17] States both the people of America have
[00:21:19] voted for Freedom vice president EXC me
[00:21:22] I have to respond another lie it's
[00:21:24] another lie I have been a leader on IVF
[00:21:27] which which is feralization the IVF I
[00:21:30] have been a leader in fact when they got
[00:21:33] a very negative decision on IVF from the

[00:22:25] it's an issue that's important to
[00:22:26] Republicans Democrats voters across the
[00:22:28] board uh in this country vice president
[00:22:30] Harris you were tasked by President
[00:22:32] Biden with getting to the root causes of
[00:22:34] migration from Central America we know
[00:22:36] that illegal border crossings reached a
[00:22:38] record high in the Biden Administration
[00:22:40] this past June President Biden imposed
[00:22:42] tough new Asylum restrictions we know
[00:22:44] the numbers since then have dropped
[00:22:46] significantly but my question to you
[00:22:48] tonight is why did the administration
[00:22:49] wait until six months before the
[00:22:51] election to act and would you have done
[00:22:53] anything differently from President
[00:22:55] Biden on this so I'm the only person on
[00:22:57] this stage who has prosecuted
[00:22:59] transnational criminal organizations for
[00:23:01] the trafficking of guns drugs and human
[00:23:04] beings and let me say that the United
[00:23:08] States Congress including some of the
[00:23:09] most conservative members of the United
[00:23:11] States Senate came up with a border
[00:23:13] security bill which I
[00:23:16] supported and that bill would have put
[00:23:18] 1,500 more border agents On the Border
[00:23:21] to help those folks who are working
[00:23:23] there right now over time trying to do
[00:23:25] their job it would have allowed us to
[00:23:28] stem the flow of fentol coming into the
[00:23:31] United States I know there are so many
[00:23:33] families watching tonight who have been
[00:23:35] personally affected by The Surge of
[00:23:37] fentanyl in our country that bill would
[00:23:39] have put more resources to allow us to
[00:23:42] prosecute transnational criminal
[00:23:44] organizations for trafficking in guns
[00:23:46] drugs and human beings but you know what
[00:23:47] happened to that bill Donald Trump got
[00:23:50] on the phone called up some folks in
[00:23:53] Congress and said kill the bill and you
[00:23:54] know why because he'd prefer to run on a
[00:23:57] problem instead of fixing a problem and
[00:24:01] understand this comes at a time where
[00:24:05] the people of our country actually need
[00:24:07] a leader who engages in Solutions who
[00:24:11] actually addresses the problems at hand
[00:24:14] but what we have in the former president
[00:24:16] is someone who would prefer to run on a
[00:24:18] problem instead of fixing a problem and
[00:24:20] I'll tell you something he's going to
[00:24:21] talk about immigration a lot tonight
[00:24:23] even when it's not the subject that is
[00:24:24] being raised and I'm going to actually
[00:24:26] do something really unusual and I'm I'm
[00:24:28] going to invite you to attend one of
[00:24:30] Donald Trump's rallies because it's a
[00:24:32] really interesting thing to watch you
[00:24:34] will see during the course of his
[00:24:35] rallies he talks about fictional
[00:24:37] characters like Hannibal Lecter he will
[00:24:40] talk about windmills cause cancer and
[00:24:43] what you will also notice is that people
[00:24:45] start leaving his rallies early out of
[00:24:47] exhaustion and boredom and I will tell
[00:24:50] you the one thing you will not hear him
[00:24:51] talk about is you you will not hear him
[00:24:54] talk about your needs your dreams and
[00:24:56] your and your desires and I'll tell you
[00:24:58] I believe you deserve a president who
[00:25:01] actually puts you first and I pledge to
[00:25:03] you that I will vice president Harris
[00:25:05] thank you president Trump on that point

[00:25:09] did you try to kill that bill and
[00:25:11] successfully so that would have put

[00:25:19] her rallies there's no reason to go and
[00:25:21] the people that do go she's busting them

[00:25:26] showing them in a different light so she

[00:25:30] my rallies we have the biggest rallies
[00:25:32] the most incredible rallies in the
[00:25:34] history of politics that's because
[00:25:36] people want to take their country back
[00:25:38] our country is being lost we're a
[00:25:40] failing nation and it happened three and
[00:25:42] a half years ago and what what's going
[00:25:46] on here you're going to end up in World
[00:25:47] War III just to go into another subject
[00:25:50] what they have done to our country by
[00:25:52] allowing these millions and millions of
[00:25:54] people to come into our country and look
[00:25:56] at what's happening to the towns all
[00:25:58] over the United States and a lot of
[00:26:00] towns don't want to talk not going to be
[00:26:01] Aurora or Springfield a lot of towns
[00:26:04] don't want to talk about it because
[00:26:05] they're so embarrassed by it in
[00:26:07] Springfield they're eating the dogs the
[00:26:10] people that came in they're eating the
[00:26:12] cats they're eating they're eating the
[00:26:15] pets of the people that live there and
[00:26:19] this is what's happening in our country
[00:26:21] and it's a shame as far as rallies are
[00:26:24] concerned as far as the reason they go
[00:26:27] is they like what I say they want to
[00:26:29] bring our country back they want to make
[00:26:31] America great again it's very simple

[00:26:38] becomes president this country doesn't
[00:26:40] have a chance of success not only
[00:26:42] success will end up being Venezuela on

[00:26:50] did reach out to the city manager there
[00:26:52] uh he told us there have been no
[00:26:54] credible reports of specific claims of
[00:26:56] pets being harmed injured or abused by

[00:27:02] the people on television say my dog was
[00:27:04] taken and used for food so maybe he said

[00:27:17] again the Springfield City manager says
[00:27:18] there's no evidence of that vice

[00:27:31] actually have the endorsement of 200
[00:27:35] Republicans who have formally worked

[00:27:40] McCain including the endorsement of
[00:27:43] former Vice President Dick Cheney and
[00:27:46] Congress member Liz Cheney and if you
[00:27:49] want to really know the inside track on
[00:27:52] who the former president is if he didn't
[00:27:55] make it clear already just ask people
[00:27:57] who have worked with him his former
[00:27:59] Chief of Staff a fourstar general has
[00:28:01] said he has contempt for the
[00:28:03] Constitution of the United States his
[00:28:05] former National Security adviser has
[00:28:07] said he is dangerous and unfit his
[00:28:10] former Secretary of Defense has said the
[00:28:13] nation the Republic would never survive
[00:28:16] another Trump
[00:28:18] term and when we listen to this kind of
[00:28:22] rhetoric when the issues that affect the
[00:28:25] American people are not being addressed
[00:28:27] I I think the choice is clear in this
[00:28:29] election President Trump I'll give you a

[00:28:33] you because when I hear that see I'm a
[00:28:36] different kind of a person I fired most
[00:28:38] of those people not so graciously they
[00:28:41] did bad things or a bad job I fired them
[00:28:44] they never fired one person they didn't
[00:28:46] fire anybody having to do with
[00:28:48] Afghanistan and the Taliban and the 13
[00:28:50] people who's who's were just killed
[00:28:53] viciously and violently killed and I got
[00:28:55] to know the parents and the family they

[00:28:59] all those generals all those top people
[00:29:02] because that was one of the most
[00:29:03] incompetently handled situations anybody

[00:29:50] deportation uh proposal that the vice
[00:29:53] president has reacted to as well

[00:29:57] largest domestic deportation operation
[00:29:59] in the history of our country you say
[00:30:00] you would use the National Guard you say
[00:30:02] if things get out of control you'd have
[00:30:04] no problem using the US military you
[00:30:06] also said you would use local police uh
[00:30:09] how would you uh Deport 11 million
[00:30:11] undocumented immigrants I know you you
[00:30:13] believe that number is much higher take
[00:30:15] us through this what does this look like
[00:30:17] will authorities be going door too in
[00:30:18] this country yeah it is much higher
[00:30:21] because of them they allowed criminals
[00:30:24] many many millions of criminals they
[00:30:26] allowed terrorists they allowed
[00:30:28] Common Street criminals they allowed
[00:30:30] people to come in drug dealers to come
[00:30:32] into our country and they're now in the
[00:30:34] United States and told by their
[00:30:37] countries like Venezuela don't ever come
[00:30:39] back or we're going to kill you do you
[00:30:41] know the crime in Venezuela and crime in
[00:30:44] countries all over the world is way down
[00:30:47] you know why because they've taken their
[00:30:49] criminals off the street and they've
[00:30:51] given them to her to put into our

[00:32:31] federal law enforcement
[00:32:32] 45,000 agents get this on the day after
[00:32:36] he was arraigned on 34 felony counts so
[00:32:40] let's talk about what is important in
[00:32:42] this race it is important that we move
[00:32:45] forward that we turn the page on this
[00:32:48] same old tired rhetoric and address the
[00:32:52] needs of the American people address
[00:32:54] what we need to do about the housing
[00:32:57] shortage which which I have a plan for
[00:32:59] address what we must do to support our
[00:33:01] small businesses address Bringing Down
[00:33:03] the price of groceries but frankly the
[00:33:06] American people are exhausted with this
[00:33:09] same old tired Playbook vice president

[00:33:35] involved with the doj from Atlanta and
[00:33:38] fny Willis to to the uh Attorney General
[00:33:42] of New York and the da of New York every
[00:33:44] one of those cases and then they say oh
[00:33:48] he was he's a criminal they're the ones
[00:33:50] that made them go after me by the way
[00:33:53] Joe Biden was found essentially guilty
[00:33:55] on the documents case and what happened
[00:33:57] in my documents case they said oh that's
[00:33:59] the toughest of them all a complete and
[00:34:02] total Victory two months ago it was
[00:34:04] thrown out it's weaponization and they
[00:34:07] used it and it's never happened in this
[00:34:09] country they used it to try and win an
[00:34:12] election their fake cases president

[00:34:45] weaponize the Department of Justice
[00:34:47] against his political enemies someone

[00:36:11] the United States and in fact I Was the
[00:36:13] tiebreaking vote on the inflation
[00:36:15] reduction act which opened new leases
[00:36:18] for fracking my position is that we have
[00:36:22] got to invest in diverse sources of
[00:36:25] energy so we reduce our reliance on
[00:36:28] foreign oil we have had the largest
[00:36:32] increase in domestic oil production in
[00:36:35] history because of an approach that
[00:36:37] recognizes that we cannot over rely on
[00:36:40] foreign oil as it relates to my values
[00:36:43] let me tell you I grew up a middle class
[00:36:45] kid raised by a hardworking mother who
[00:36:48] worked and saved and was able to buy our
[00:36:51] first home when I was a teenager the
[00:36:53] values I bring to the importance of home
[00:36:56] ownership knowing not everybody got
[00:36:57] handed $400 million on a silver platter
[00:37:01] and then filed bankruptcy six times is a
[00:37:04] value that I bring to my work to say we
[00:37:06] are going to work with the private
[00:37:08] sector and home builders to increase 3
[00:37:11] million homes increase by 3 million
[00:37:13] homes by the end of my first term my
[00:37:15] work that is related to having a friend
[00:37:18] when I was in high school who was
[00:37:19] sexually assaulted by her stepfather and
[00:37:22] my focus then on protecting women and
[00:37:24] children from violent crime is based on
[00:37:26] a value that is deeply grounded in the
[00:37:29] importance of standing up for those who
[00:37:31] are most vulnerable my work that is
[00:37:34] about protecting Social Security and
[00:37:36] Medicare is based on longstanding work
[00:37:38] that I have done protecting seniors from
[00:37:41] scams my values have not changed and
[00:37:45] what is important is that there is a
[00:37:47] president who actually brings values and
[00:37:50] a perspective that is about lifting
[00:37:52] people up and not beating people down
[00:37:57] and name calling the true measure of the
[00:38:00] leader is the leader who actually
[00:38:03] understands the strength is not in
[00:38:05] beating people down it's in lifting
[00:38:06] people up I intend to be that president
[00:38:10] president Trump your resp well first of
[00:38:11] all I wasn't given 400 million I wish I
[00:38:14] was my father was a Brooklyn Builder
[00:38:15] Brooklyn Queens and a great father and I
[00:38:18] learned a lot from him but I was given a
[00:38:19] fraction of that a tiny fraction and
[00:38:21] I've built it into many many billions of
[00:38:24] dollars many many billions and when
[00:38:26] people see it they are even surprised so
[00:38:29] we don't have to talk about that
[00:38:30] fracking she's been against it for 12
[00:38:32] years uh defund the police she's been
[00:38:35] against that forever she gave all that
[00:38:38] stuff up very wrongly very horribly and
[00:38:42] everybody's laughing at it okay they're

[00:38:46] 12 and probably 14 or 15 different
[00:38:49] policies like she was big on to fund the
[00:38:52] police in Minnesota she went out wait a

[00:41:04] the Oval Office uh you did send out
[00:41:06] tweets but it was more than two hours
[00:41:07] before you sent out that video message
[00:41:09] uh telling your supporters to go home is
[00:41:12] there anything you regret about what you
[00:41:14] did on that day you just said a thing
[00:41:17] that isn't covered peacefully and
[00:41:20] patriotically I said during my speech

[00:50:11] that and clearly he is having a very
[00:50:13] difficult time processing that but we
[00:50:16] cannot afford to have a president of the
[00:50:18] United States who attempts as he did in
[00:50:23] the past to upend the will of the voters

[00:54:33] security for the Israeli people and
[00:54:35] Israel and in equal measure for the
[00:54:37] Palestinians but the one thing I will
[00:54:40] assure you always I will always give
[00:54:42] Israel the ability to defend itself in
[00:54:45] particular as it rates to as it relates
[00:54:47] to Iran and any threat that Iran and its
[00:54:50] proxies posed to Israel but we must have
[00:54:53] a two-state solution where we can
[00:54:55] rebuild Gaza where the Palestinians have
[00:54:59] security self-determination and the
[00:55:01] dignity they so rightly deserve
[00:55:04] president Trump how would you negotiate
[00:55:06] with Netanyahu and also Hamas in order
[00:55:09] to get the hostages out and prevent the
[00:55:11] killing of more innocent civilians in
[00:55:13] Gaza if I were president it would have
[00:55:15] never started if I were president Russia
[00:55:18] would have never ever I know Putin very
[00:55:21] well he would have never and there was
[00:55:23] no threat of it either by the way for
[00:55:24] four years have gone into into Ukraine
[00:55:27] and killed millions of people when you

[01:06:13] good relationship and they respect your

[01:07:09] could lead to World War III don't get

[01:07:15] don't even know if he's where is our

[01:07:21] him out of a campaign like a dog we

[01:07:56] it be any different from what we're
[01:07:58] seeing from President Biden well first
[01:08:00] of all it's important to remind the
[01:08:02] former president you're not running
[01:08:04] against Joe Biden you're running against
[01:08:06] me I believe the reason that Donald
[01:08:09] Trump says that this war would be over
[01:08:11] within 24 hours is because he would just
[01:08:13] give it up and that's not who we are as
[01:08:15] Americans let's understand what happened
[01:08:17] here um I actually met with zansi a few
[01:08:22] days before Russia invaded tried through
[01:08:25] Force to change territorial boundaries
[01:08:28] to defy one of the most important
[01:08:30] International rules and Norms which is
[01:08:33] the importance of sovereignty and
[01:08:34] territorial integrity and I met with
[01:08:37] President zansky I shared with him
[01:08:39] American intelligence about how he could
[01:08:41] defend himself days later I went to
[01:08:43] NATO's Eastern flank to Poland and
[01:08:46] Romania and through the work that I and
[01:08:49] others did we brought 50 countries
[01:08:51] together to support Ukraine in its
[01:08:54] righteous defense and because of our
[01:08:57] support because of the air defense the
[01:09:00] ammunition the artillery the javelins
[01:09:03] the Abrams tanks that we have provided
[01:09:05] Ukraine stands as an independent and
[01:09:08] free country if Donald Trump were
[01:09:10] President Putin would be sitting in keev
[01:09:12] right now and understand what that would
[01:09:14] mean because Putin's agenda is not just
[01:09:17] about
[01:09:19] Ukraine understand why the European
[01:09:21] allies and our NATO allies are so
[01:09:24] thankful that you are no longer
[01:09:26] president and that we understand the
[01:09:30] importance of the greatest military
[01:09:31] Alliance the world has ever known which
[01:09:33] is NATO and what we have done to
[01:09:36] preserve the ability of zalinski and the
[01:09:39] ukrainians to fight for their
[01:09:40] independence otherwise Putin would be
[01:09:43] sitting in keev with his eyes on the
[01:09:45] rest of Europe starting with Poland and
[01:09:48] why don't you tell the 800,000 polish
[01:09:50] Americans right here in Pennsylvania how

[01:11:58] leader upholding International rules and

[01:12:25] United States is commanderin-chief and
[01:12:28] the American people have a right to rely
[01:12:32] on a president who understands the
[01:12:35] significance of America's role and
[01:12:38] responsibility in terms of ensuring that
[01:12:40] there is stability and ensuring we stand
[01:12:43] up for our principles and not sell them
[01:12:46] for the for the benefit of personal
[01:12:49] flattery we've talked about Ukraine and
[01:12:51] Vladimir Putin I do want to talk about
[01:12:53] Afghanistan it came up in in the first
[01:12:54] hour of this debate I I wanted to move
[01:12:57] on to Afghanistan Stenberg said Trump
[01:12:59] did the most amazing thing I've ever
[01:13:01] seen he got these countries the 28
[01:13:03] countries at the time to pay up he said
[01:13:06] I've never seen he's the head of NATO he
[01:13:08] said I've never seen for years we were
[01:13:11] paying almost all of NATO we were being
[01:13:13] ripped off by European nations both on
[01:13:16] trade and on NATO I got them to pay up
[01:13:19] by saying one of the statements you made
[01:13:20] before if you don't pay we're not going
[01:13:23] to protect you otherwise we would have
[01:13:25] we gotten it he said it was one of the
[01:13:26] most incredible jobs that he's ever seen
[01:13:29] done thank you I want to turn to
[01:13:30] Afghanistan it came up in the first hour
[01:13:32] of the debate and we witnessed a a
[01:13:34] poignant moment today on Capitol Hill
[01:13:35] honoring the soldiers who died in the
[01:13:37] chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan I do
[01:13:39] want to ask the vice president uh do you
[01:13:41] believe you bear any responsibility in
[01:13:44] the way that withdrawal played out well
[01:13:46] I will tell you I agreed with President
[01:13:48] Biden's decision to pull out of
[01:13:50] Afghanistan four presidents said they
[01:13:53] would and Joe Biden did
[01:13:55] and as a result America's taxpayers are
[01:13:58] not paying the $300 million a day we
[01:14:00] were paying for that endless war and as
[01:14:04] of today there is not one member of the
[01:14:07] United States military who is in active
[01:14:10] duty in a combat zone in any war zone
[01:14:13] around the world the first time this
[01:14:14] Century but let's understand how we got
[01:14:18] to where we are Donald Trump when he was
[01:14:20] president negotiated one of the weakest
[01:14:24] deals you can imagine he calls himself a
[01:14:26] deal maker even his National Security
[01:14:28] advisor said it was a weak terrible deal
[01:14:31] and here's how it went down he bypassed
[01:14:34] the Afghan government he negotiated
[01:14:37] directly with a terrorist organization
[01:14:39] called the Taliban the negotiation
[01:14:42] involved the Taliban getting 5,000
[01:14:44] terrorist Taliban terrorists released
[01:14:47] and get this no get this and the
[01:14:50] president at the time invited the
[01:14:53] Taliban to Camp David
[01:14:56] a place of stored significance for us as
[01:14:59] Americans a place where we honor the
[01:15:02] importance of American diplomacy where
[01:15:04] we invite and receive respected world
[01:15:08] leaders and
[01:15:11] this former president as president
[01:15:14] invited them to Camp David because he
[01:15:19] does not again appreciate the role and
[01:15:23] responsibility of the president of the
[01:15:25] United States to be commanderin-chief
[01:15:28] with a level of and this gets back to
[01:15:31] the point of how he has consistently
[01:15:33] disparaged and demeaned members of our
[01:15:35] military fallen soldiers and the work
[01:15:38] that we must do to uphold the strength
[01:15:42] and the respect of the United States of
[01:15:44] America around the world vice president
[01:15:46] Harris thank you president Trump your
[01:15:47] response to her saying that you began
[01:15:49] the negotiations with the Taliban so if
[01:15:52] you take a look at that period of time
[01:15:55] the Taliban was killing our soldiers a
[01:15:58] lot of them with
[01:15:59] snipers and I got involved with the
[01:16:02] Taliban because the Taliban was doing
[01:16:04] the killing that's the Fighting Force
[01:16:06] within Afghanistan they don't bother
[01:16:08] doing that because you know they deal
[01:16:09] with the wrong people all the time but I
[01:16:11] got involved and Abdul is the head of
[01:16:15] the Taliban he is still the head of the
[01:16:17] Taliban and I told Abdul don't do it
[01:16:19] anymore you do it anymore you're going
[01:16:21] to have problems and he said why do you
[01:16:23] send me a picture of my house I said
[01:16:24] said you're going to have to figure that
[01:16:26] out Abdul and for 18 months we had
[01:16:29] nobody killed we did have an agreement
[01:16:31] negotiated by Mike Pompeo it was a very
[01:16:33] good agreement the reason it was good it
[01:16:36] was we were getting out we would have
[01:16:38] been out faster than them but we
[01:16:39] wouldn't have lost the soldiers we
[01:16:41] wouldn't have left many Americans behind
[01:16:43] and we wouldn't have left we wouldn't
[01:16:44] have left $85 billion doll worth of
[01:16:48] brand new beautiful military equipment
[01:16:50] behind and just to finish they blew it
[01:16:54] the agre said you have to do this this
[01:16:57] this this this and they didn't do it
[01:16:59] they didn't do it the agreement was was
[01:17:02] terminated by us because they didn't do
[01:17:06] what they were supposed to do and these
[01:17:08] people did the worst withdrawal and in
[01:17:12] my opinion the most embarrassing moment
[01:17:14] in the history of our country and by the
[01:17:16] way that's why Russia attacked Ukraine
[01:17:19] because they saw how incompetent she and
[01:17:21] her boss are President Trump thank you I
[01:17:24] want move on now to race and politics in
[01:17:26] this country Mr President you recently
[01:17:28] said a vice president Harris quote I
[01:17:30] didn't know she was black until a number

[01:17:38] question here tonight why do you believe
[01:17:40] it's appropriate to weigh in on the
[01:17:41] racial identity of your opponent I don't
[01:17:44] and I don't care I don't care what she
[01:17:46] is I don't care uh you make a big deal
[01:17:49] out of something I couldn't care less
[01:17:51] whatever she wants to be is okay with me
[01:17:54] but those were your words so I'm ask I

[01:17:57] say is I read where she was not black

[01:19:04] Times calling for the
[01:19:06] execution of five young black and Latino
[01:19:11] boys who were innocent the Central Park
[01:19:15] 5 took out a full page ad calling for
[01:19:18] their execution this is the same
[01:19:21] individual who spread birther lies about
[01:19:24] the first black president of the United
[01:19:26] States and I think the American people
[01:19:30] want better than that want better than
[01:19:33] this want someone who understands as I
[01:19:36] do I travel our
[01:19:38] country we see in each other a friend we

[01:23:31] vowed to repeal and replace the
[01:23:33] Affordable Care Act also known as
[01:23:35] Obamacare you have failed to accomplish
[01:23:37] that you now say you're going to keep
[01:23:39] Obamacare quote unless we can do
[01:23:41] something much better last month you
[01:23:43] said quote we're working on it so
[01:23:45] tonight nine years after you first
[01:23:47] started running do you have a plan and
[01:23:49] can you tell us what it is Obamacare was
[01:23:51] lousy healthc care always was it's it's
[01:23:54] not very good today and what I said that
[01:23:57] if we come up with something and we are
[01:23:58] working on things we're going to do it
[01:24:00] and we're going to replace it but
[01:24:02] remember this I inherited Obamacare they
[01:24:05] wouldn't vote for it they were unanimous
[01:24:07] they wouldn't vote to change it if they
[01:24:09] would have done that we would have had a
[01:24:11] much better plan than Obamacare but the
[01:24:13] Democrats came up they wouldn't vote for
[01:24:16] it I had a choice to make when I was
[01:24:18] President do I save it and make it as
[01:24:20] good as it can be never going to be
[01:24:22] great or do I let it rot and I felt I
[01:24:26] had an obligation even though
[01:24:27] politically it would have been good to
[01:24:29] just let it rot and let it go away I
[01:24:31] decided and I told my people the top
[01:24:33] people and they very good people I have
[01:24:35] a lot of good people in this that
[01:24:37] Administration we read about the bad
[01:24:39] ones we had some real bad ones too and

[01:24:42] difference is they don't get rid of them
[01:24:43] but let me just explain I had a choice
[01:24:46] to make do I save it and make it as good
[01:24:49] as it can be or do I let it rot and I
[01:24:52] saved it I did the right thing but it's
[01:24:55] still never going to be great and it's
[01:24:57] too expensive for people and what we
[01:24:59] will do is we're looking at different
[01:25:01] plans if we can come up with a plan
[01:25:04] that's going to cost our people our
[01:25:06] population less money and be better
[01:25:09] health care than Obamacare then I would
[01:25:11] absolutely do it but until then I'd run
[01:25:14] it as good as it can be run so just yes
[01:25:16] or no you still do not have a plan I
[01:25:18] have concepts of a plan I'm not
[01:25:21] president right now but if we come up
[01:25:25] with something I would only change it if
[01:25:26] we come up with something that's better
[01:25:28] and less expensive and there are
[01:25:30] Concepts and options we we have to do
[01:25:33] that and you'll be hearing about it in
[01:25:35] the not too distant future vice
[01:25:37] president Harris in 2017 you supported
[01:25:39] Bernie Sanders proposal to do away with
[01:25:41] private insurance and create a
[01:25:43] government-run Health Care System two
[01:25:45] years later you proposed a plan that
[01:25:46] included a private insurance option what
[01:25:49] is your plan today well first of all I
[01:25:51] absolutely support and over the last
[01:25:53] four years as vice president private
[01:25:55] healthcare options but what we need to
[01:25:57] do is maintain and grow the Affordable
[01:25:59] Care Act but I I I'll get to that
[01:26:01] Lindsay I just need to respond to a
[01:26:02] previous point that the former president
[01:26:04] has made I've made very clear my
[01:26:06] position on fracking and then this
[01:26:08] business about taking everyone's guns
[01:26:10] away Tim Walls and I are both gun owners

[01:26:44] disparaged as being you don't like him
[01:26:47] you said at the time because he got
[01:26:50] caught he was an American hero the late

[01:26:54] forget that night walked onto the senate
[01:26:56] floor and said no you don't no you don't
[01:27:01] no you don't get rid of the Affordable
[01:27:03] Care Act you have no plan and what the
[01:27:05] Affordable Care Act has done is

[01:27:38] American people Donald Trump said he was
[01:27:40] going to allow Medicare to negotiate
[01:27:42] drug prices he never did we did and now
[01:27:45] we have capped the cost of insulin at
[01:27:46] $35 a month since I've been Vice
[01:27:48] President we have capped the cost of
[01:27:50] prescription medication for seniors at
[01:27:52] $2,000 a year and when I am President we
[01:27:55] will do that for all people
[01:27:57] understanding that the value I bring to
[01:27:59] this is that access to health care
[01:28:03] should be a right and not just a
[01:28:05] privilege of those who can afford it and
[01:28:07] the plan has to be to strengthen the
[01:28:10] Affordable Care Act not get rid of it
[01:28:13] pass PR in terms of where Donald Trump
[01:28:15] stands on that I want to move to an
[01:28:17] issue that's important for she made a
[01:28:19] mistake at number one John McCain fought
[01:28:22] Obamacare for 10 years
[01:28:24] but it wasn't only him it were all of
[01:28:27] the Democrats that kept it going and you
[01:28:29] know what we can do much better than
[01:28:32] Obamacare much less money but she won't
[01:28:35] improve private insurance for people
[01:28:38] private medical insurance that's another
[01:28:41] thing she doesn't want to get people are
[01:28:42] paying privately for insurance that have
[01:28:45] worked hard and made money and they want
[01:28:47] to have private she wants everybody to
[01:28:49] be on government insurance where you
[01:28:51] wait 6 months for an operation that you
[01:28:53] need president Trump thank you we have
[01:28:55] another issue that we'd like to get to
[01:28:57] that's important for a number of
[01:28:58] Americans in particular younger voters
[01:29:00] and that's climate change president
[01:29:02] Trump with regard to the environment you
[01:29:04] say that we have to have clean air and
[01:29:06] clean water vice president Harris you
[01:29:08] call climate change an existential
[01:29:10] threat the question to you both tonight
[01:29:13] is what would you do to fight climate
[01:29:15] change and vice president Harris we'll
[01:29:16] start with you one minute for you each
[01:29:19] well the former president had said the
[01:29:21] climate change is a hoax and what we
[01:29:24] know is that it is very real you ask
[01:29:26] anyone who lives in a state who has
[01:29:28] experienced these extreme weather
[01:29:30] occurrences who now is either being
[01:29:32] denied home insurance or it's being
[01:29:33] jacked up you ask anybody who has been
[01:29:37] um the victim of what that means in
[01:29:39] terms of losing their home having
[01:29:41] nowhere to go we know that we can
[01:29:44] actually deal with this issue the young
[01:29:46] people of America care deeply about this
[01:29:48] issue and I am proud that as vice
[01:29:50] president over the last four years we
[01:29:52] have invested a trillion dollars in a
[01:29:54] clean energy economy while we have also
[01:29:58] increased domestic gas production to
[01:30:00] Historic levels we have created over
[01:30:03] 800,000 new manufacturing jobs while I
[01:30:05] have been Vice President we have
[01:30:07] invested in clean energy to the point
[01:30:10] that we are opening up factories around
[01:30:13] the world Donald Trump said he was going
[01:30:14] to create manufacturing jobs he lost
[01:30:16] manufacturing jobs and I'm also proud to
[01:30:19] have the endorsement of the United Auto
[01:30:21] Workers and Shan feain who also know
[01:30:23] that that part of building a clean
[01:30:25] energy economy includes investing in
[01:30:28] American made products American
[01:30:31] automobiles it includes growing what we
[01:30:35] can do around American manufacturing and
[01:30:37] opening up Auto plants not closing them
[01:30:40] like happened under Donald Trump vice
[01:30:42] president Harris thank you it didn't
[01:30:43] happen under Donald Trump let me just
[01:30:45] tell you they lost 10,000 manufacturing
[01:30:47] jobs this last month it's going they're
[01:30:50] all leaving uh they're building big Auto
[01:30:53] plants in Mexico in many cases owned by
[01:30:56] China they're building these massive
[01:30:59] plants and they think they're going to
[01:31:00] sell their cars into the United States
[01:31:02] because of these people what they have
[01:31:05] given to China is unbelievable but we're
[01:31:07] not going to let that we'll put tariffs
[01:31:09] on those cars so they can't come into
[01:31:11] our country because they will kill the
[01:31:13] United Auto Workers and any auto worker
[01:31:16] whether it's in Detroit or South
[01:31:18] Carolina or any other place what they've
[01:31:20] done to business and Manufacturing in
[01:31:23] this country is horrible we have nothing
