President Trump Delivers Remarks on Trump Accounts
📄 Extracted Text (7,578 words)
[00:00:07] Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th
[00:00:10] president of the United States, Donald
[00:00:12] J. Trump. And I'm proud to [music] be an
[00:00:16] American where at least I [singing] know
[00:00:19] I'm free. And [music] I won't forget the
[00:00:22] men who died, who gave that right to me.
[00:00:26] And [music] I gladly stand up next to
[00:00:30] you and defend [music] her still today.
[00:00:34] Cuz there ain't [singing] no doubt I
[00:00:36] love this land.
[00:00:39] God [music and singing] bless the USA.
[00:00:54] From the lakes [music] of Minnesota
[00:00:57] to the hills of Tennessee,
[00:01:01] across [singing] the plains of Texas,
[00:01:04] from sea [music] to shining sea,
[00:01:07] from Detroit down to Houston [music]
[00:01:10] and New York to LA, where there's pride
[00:01:15] in [music and singing] every American
[00:01:16] heart. And it's time we stand and say
[00:01:21] [music]
[00:01:24] that I'm proud to be an American where
[00:01:27] at least I know [music and singing] I'm
[00:01:29] free. And I won't forget the men who
[00:01:33] died, who gave that [music] right to me.
[00:01:36] And I gladly [singing] stand up next to
[00:01:40] you and defend her still today.
[00:01:44] Cuz there ain't [music and singing] no
[00:01:45] doubt I love this land.
[00:01:49] God bless the USA. [music]
[00:01:57] And I'm proud [music] to be an American
[00:02:01] where at least I know I'm free. [music]
[00:02:04] And I won't forget the men who died, who
[00:02:08] gave that right to me. [music] And I
[00:02:11] gladly stand up.
[00:02:14] next to you and defend her still today.
[00:02:19] Cuz there ain't no [music and singing]
[00:02:20] doubt I love this land.
[00:02:24] God [music] bless the US.
[00:02:33] [singing]
[00:02:37] All right, let's get down to business.
[00:02:38] That's enough of that. But how good is
[00:02:41] Lee Greenwood? He was with us right from
[00:02:43] the beginning. First time I walked onto
[00:02:45] the stage, I heard that song. I liked
[00:02:47] it. I said, "Let's use it." That was 10
[00:02:50] years ago. And he's been with us all the
[00:02:52] way. Fantastic guy.
[00:02:55] There's never been a man that made so
[00:02:58] much money from one song ever.
[00:03:00] [laughter]
[00:03:01] And I'm happy about it. But I'm
[00:03:04] delighted to be back in the beautiful
[00:03:06] Melon Auditorium. Wonderful family. Tim
[00:03:10] Melon is a great guy.
[00:03:12] He's the current version of the Melons.
[00:03:15] A fantastic person to celebrate a
[00:03:18] thrilling new milestone for America. The
[00:03:20] first generation of Trump account
[00:03:23] children. Trump account children. For
[00:03:26] the first time ever, we're going to give
[00:03:28] every newborn American child a financial
[00:03:30] stake in the future. Head started life
[00:03:33] and a fair shot at the American dream.
[00:03:37] Something people don't talk about so
[00:03:38] much. At least not for the last four
[00:03:40] years. They haven't been, but now
[00:03:42] they're talking about it big. This last
[00:03:44] period of time, it's been unbelievable.
[00:03:47] You see what's going on with our
[00:03:49] economy, the tremendous investments
[00:03:51] that's been made in our country. We have
[00:03:54] over $18 trillion coming in. The most, I
[00:03:57] think, was three. That was 10 years ago.
[00:03:59] Another country, not even our country.
[00:04:01] We have $18 trillion. And we have
[00:04:04] thousands of businesses being built all
[00:04:06] over the country and hundreds of massive
[00:04:09] plants. So big car plants, AI plants.
[00:04:13] With the support of the men and women
[00:04:15] here and this beautiful room over the
[00:04:18] next 15 years, we're going to put three
[00:04:21] to four trillion dollars of wealth into
[00:04:24] the hands of young Americans who
[00:04:26] otherwise would have really started out
[00:04:28] with nothing. It's really an amazing
[00:04:30] thing because it gives young children
[00:04:33] that start out with really nothing and
[00:04:36] it gives them boy it's more money than
[00:04:40] anybody could imagine from their
[00:04:42] standpoint they'll have a real start in
[00:04:44] life and that's why decades from now I
[00:04:47] believe the Trump accounts will be
[00:04:49] remembered as one of the most
[00:04:50] transformative policy innovations of all
[00:04:53] time and I've done a lot of them the tax
[00:04:55] cuts we've done a lot of them more than
[00:04:57] I think anybody and I I think this is
[00:04:59] going to be one of the most outstanding.
[00:05:01] Last summer, I signed the great big
[00:05:04] beautiful bill delivering.
[00:05:08] [applause]
[00:05:10] It made this possible, too. It actually
[00:05:12] made this possible. Without it, we
[00:05:14] wouldn't have been able to do this.
[00:05:16] Delivering the largest tax cuts in
[00:05:18] American history, including no tax on
[00:05:20] tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on
[00:05:23] social security for our great seniors.
[00:05:26] And you know, we did another thing. When
[00:05:28] you buy a car now, you get a deduction
[00:05:31] on the interest payment if you borrow
[00:05:32] money. So, think of it. Rich people get
[00:05:35] so many deductions. I'm the king of
[00:05:37] deductions. I love deductions.
[00:05:40] But people, middle- inome people never
[00:05:42] had a deduction before. Now, they're
[00:05:43] getting a deduction on interest. They
[00:05:45] buy a car. That's going to have a huge
[00:05:46] impact on the automobile. By the way,
[00:05:49] there's one proviso. It has to be made
[00:05:51] in America. If the car is made in
[00:05:54] another country, no thank you.
[00:05:57] But they're all going to be made in
[00:05:58] America pretty soon because we have
[00:06:00] factories coming in from Canada, Mexico,
[00:06:04] Japan, Germany, all over Europe. They're
[00:06:06] all coming here to make their cars
[00:06:08] because they don't want to pay tariffs.
[00:06:09] Very simple. It wasn't very complicated.
[00:06:12] You'll see those numbers starting to
[00:06:14] produce. That's why you see these
[00:06:16] massive construction numbers. And soon
[00:06:18] when those things start opening, you're
[00:06:20] going to see you're going to see
[00:06:22] employment and you're going to see
[00:06:23] wealth creation for middle inome people
[00:06:26] like you've never seen before. Every
[00:06:29] single Democrat in Congress voted to
[00:06:31] raise taxes on hardworking citizens.
[00:06:34] Their whole campaign was raise taxes.
[00:06:36] I've never heard of it before. All my
[00:06:38] life I grew up and I I hear politicians,
[00:06:41] we will cut taxes. We This is the only
[00:06:43] group I've ever seen. We're going to
[00:06:44] raise your taxes.
[00:06:46] No wonder they lost.
[00:06:49] Actually, there were other reasons also.
[00:06:52] But together with the majorities in the
[00:06:54] House and Senate, we overcame their
[00:06:56] obstruction and we put more money into
[00:06:59] the pockets of every working American
[00:07:01] than anyone thought even imaginable.
[00:07:05] Perhaps no provision of the Great Big
[00:07:07] Beautiful bill will prove more
[00:07:10] consequential than Trump accounts. Under
[00:07:13] this program, the US government will
[00:07:15] automatically create a tax-free
[00:07:17] investment account for every newborn
[00:07:19] American child. Something that
[00:07:22] nobody really would have even thought
[00:07:25] of. There were some brilliant people
[00:07:27] that thought of it for a long time.
[00:07:28] They're here with us today. We're going
[00:07:30] to introduce a couple of them, but
[00:07:32] nobody really I mean I've had friends
[00:07:34] that top people in business. They came
[00:07:36] up to me whose idea was this? This is
[00:07:38] great. They never thought they said I
[00:07:40] never thought of that. We'll fund those
[00:07:43] personal accounts with a seed
[00:07:45] contribution of $1,000 which will
[00:07:48] compound and grow over the course of
[00:07:50] their lives and could grow it to very
[00:07:52] very substantial numbers.
[00:07:54] Parents, employers, churches, states,
[00:07:57] and loved ones will also be able to add
[00:07:59] up to $5,000 in additional money for
[00:08:01] those accounts. And with every modest
[00:08:04] contribution, Trump account should reach
[00:08:06] at least $50,000 in value by the time
[00:08:11] the child turns 18 and could be very
[00:08:14] substantially more than that. With
[00:08:16] slightly greater contributions, the
[00:08:18] typical account will grow to 100,000,
[00:08:21] 200,000 and can even grow up to past
[00:08:24] $300,000 per child.
[00:08:27] And uh we think most likely the most
[00:08:29] likely case is in the 200,000 300,000
[00:08:33] range. The size and scale of this wealth
[00:08:36] will dwarf all government programs ever
[00:08:39] created to benefit America's youth.
[00:08:41] There's never been anything like this.
[00:08:42] That's why everybody's talking about it.
[00:08:45] Even really people that truly hate me
[00:08:47] are making this investment. One person
[00:08:50] hates my gut. He spent put a billion
[00:08:53] dollars into it.
[00:08:55] They said, "You must like this program a
[00:08:57] lot because you can't stand me." I said,
[00:08:58] 'I do, but I do like you more than you
[00:09:00] think.
[00:09:02] They like me more in the last year than
[00:09:04] they liked me before. Although we had a
[00:09:07] great first term, can't forget that we
[00:09:09] had the greatest economy in the history
[00:09:10] of our country, but this is blowing it
[00:09:13] away. So,
[00:09:16] [applause]
[00:09:17] every president, thank you. Every
[00:09:20] president in modern history has left our
[00:09:22] children with nothing but debt.
[00:09:25] But under this administration, we're
[00:09:27] going to leave every child with real
[00:09:29] assets and a shot at financial freedom.
[00:09:33] We'll ensure that Americans don't just
[00:09:36] end their lives with a nest egg, but
[00:09:37] instead all Americans will begin their
[00:09:39] lives with a beautiful nest egg. There's
[00:09:42] never been anything quite like this. I
[00:09:45] want to express my tremendous gratitude
[00:09:47] to a very special couple who believe so
[00:09:50] strongly in this vision right from the
[00:09:52] beginning that they personally donated
[00:09:55] 625
[00:09:57] billion that's 6 billion250 even the 250
[00:10:00] is a lot of money when you think I mean
[00:10:03] you know two Nikki do you hear that
[00:10:05] money that's big even compared to
[00:10:06] rapping all the money she makes she's
[00:10:08] here she's hearing a number like that
[00:10:11] she say how many songs do I have to make
[00:10:12] to catch that
[00:10:14] But amazing uh amazing thing, $6 bill250
[00:10:20] million to fund Trump accounts for an
[00:10:23] additional 25 million children age 10
[00:10:27] and under. And that's Michael and Susan
[00:10:30] Dell. Two incredible people. Where are
[00:10:32] you, Michael? Where's Michael?
[00:10:34] [applause] Stand up. Michael, what a
[00:10:37] great guy.
[00:10:39] What a great guy.
[00:10:42] [applause]
[00:10:44] You know, I tell you, he didn't do it
[00:10:46] for his business. He did it, I guess,
[00:10:48] probably would have been better off not
[00:10:50] to. That's a lot. But you know what? I
[00:10:52] hope everybody goes out and buys Dell
[00:10:54] computers. My son, I told you, Baron, he
[00:10:56] loves that computer. I don't know what
[00:10:58] the hell you're doing to it, but he
[00:10:59] likes it. But I just want to thank you
[00:11:01] very much. And Susan, it's uh
[00:11:04] unbelievable. Really unbelievable
[00:11:07] what you've done. So, Michael and Susan
[00:11:10] made this donation in recognition of
[00:11:12] America's 250th anniversary because
[00:11:15] there's no better way to honor America's
[00:11:17] history than to invest in America's
[00:11:19] future. That's what they did. And this
[00:11:22] is perhaps the largest, one of the
[00:11:24] largest certainly, but perhaps the
[00:11:26] largest private donations of all time.
[00:11:28] That's a lot. 6 billion, 250 million.
[00:11:32] And uh somebody did say that a friend of
[00:11:34] mine very rich he's going to put up a
[00:11:35] hundred million dollars and he said you
[00:11:39] know think of it the 250 that Michael
[00:11:41] has is a lot more than mine and I
[00:11:44] haven't even talked about the six
[00:11:45] billion but anyway it's amazing when
[00:11:48] Michael can start off with very little
[00:11:50] money and build a fortune where he can
[00:11:52] you know routinely make such a payment
[00:11:55] and investment in the youth of our
[00:11:58] country. Michael you're great. Thank you
[00:12:00] man. Thank you.
[00:12:03] [applause]
[00:12:06] And I also want to say hello to and
[00:12:08] thank some very special people that have
[00:12:10] been with my administration and really
[00:12:12] become friends of mine. On occasion I
[00:12:14] have little arguments but uh generally I
[00:12:18] would say really good and who's doing
[00:12:20] and start off with a man who's doing a
[00:12:22] phenomenal job. Treasury Secretary Scott
[00:12:25] Besson. Scott. Thank you very much
[00:12:28] Scott. [applause]
[00:12:29] And he loved this right from the
[00:12:31] beginning, Scott. Right. He saw this and
[00:12:33] he said, "Wow, what a great idea that
[00:12:35] is. This is, you know, hundreds of
[00:12:36] thousands of dollars by the time they
[00:12:38] reach 18, but we can go 21. They can
[00:12:41] keep it in longer." But, uh, he saw this
[00:12:44] right right from the beginning. He said,
[00:12:45] "Wow, this is great." And we have some
[00:12:48] other ideas that will be great. But this
[00:12:50] was one that just hit everybody. This
[00:12:52] was an easy one to think about. And
[00:12:54] again, that bill allowed us to do this.
[00:12:57] Otherwise, can you imagine trying to get
[00:12:58] this approved by Democrats and
[00:13:00] Republicans? Let's get together. We got
[00:13:03] it done. Also, a man who's made your
[00:13:06] life much easier because those of you
[00:13:09] that are building plants and equipment
[00:13:11] so you can give your money ultimately,
[00:13:12] you're giving your money away anyway, no
[00:13:14] matter how much you make. But, uh, he's
[00:13:17] made it a lot easier. You know,
[00:13:19] approvals for big plants used to take 20
[00:13:21] years, 25 years, and then you'd get
[00:13:24] rejected. Actually, you'd go 20 years
[00:13:27] environmentally and they'd reject you.
[00:13:29] You finally, if I think of it, a guy
[00:13:31] starts young. He starts an approval
[00:13:32] process. By the time he's middle-aged,
[00:13:35] they take a vote and he loses. It's not
[00:13:37] worth it. But we have a man that's
[00:13:39] getting these things done in a matter of
[00:13:40] weeks. And the biggest plants in the
[00:13:43] world are being built right now, and
[00:13:44] he's getting them done fast. He's
[00:13:46] getting electric plants built so that we
[00:13:48] can buy them. They're paying for them.
[00:13:50] They want to pay for them so they can
[00:13:52] open up their AI plants and they can
[00:13:55] open up their automobile plants and
[00:13:58] lesser. So the automobiles, believe it
[00:13:59] or not, take much less electricity.
[00:14:02] You're going to have to tell me why you
[00:14:03] need so much electricity to create
[00:14:08] information. I said, "What's your
[00:14:10] primary product?" Information. Oh, I
[00:14:12] see. Information. It better be damn good
[00:14:15] information for the kind of money. But,
[00:14:18] uh, Lee Zeldon is a star and he has been
[00:14:22] incredible. Thank you, Lee.
[00:14:25] [applause]
[00:14:26] And, you know, uh, I have to say this,
[00:14:28] uh, Scott and I were talking about it.
[00:14:30] So, Lee went out to California after the
[00:14:32] fire, which would have never happened if
[00:14:34] they would have let the water flow from
[00:14:36] the Pacific Northwest, which everybody's
[00:14:38] been telling them, including me. Now, I
[00:14:39] just opened it up. We literally sent in
[00:14:41] the military to open it up. But if they
[00:14:44] would have let you wouldn't have had the
[00:14:45] fires because you would have had a
[00:14:48] little thing called oldfashioned way
[00:14:50] water in the fire hydrants as opposed to
[00:14:53] empty fire hydrants. You would have had
[00:14:54] water in most of the houses had the
[00:14:56] sprinklers on top. No, there was no
[00:14:58] water in their sprinkler in their living
[00:15:00] room. All those fires wouldn't have
[00:15:02] started. But they did start. And I will
[00:15:05] say that uh Lee, the most difficult
[00:15:08] permit was Lee. I went there a couple of
[00:15:10] days after the fire. met so many people
[00:15:12] on the streets were many cases fairly
[00:15:15] wealthy people some very rich people
[00:15:17] some of the best houses in California
[00:15:19] burned down and I said to him uh so what
[00:15:22] do you want to do they sir we want to
[00:15:24] start immediately immediately well we'll
[00:15:25] get you permits now the hardest
[00:15:26] permanently was the federal permit is
[00:15:29] that right he got everything done in 20
[00:15:31] days right the whole thing is that a
[00:15:33] correct statement or less
[00:15:36] >> 20 days so he got everything done 100%
[00:15:40] ready to Well, and I went for a meeting
[00:15:43] and this mayor who's a grossly
[00:15:45] incompetent person, she said, "We're
[00:15:48] going to try and have the permits done
[00:15:49] within two years." Remember that? I got
[00:15:51] into an argu I said, "You mean within
[00:15:53] two days, right?" She said, "No." And
[00:15:55] I'm meeting all these people as I'm
[00:15:57] walking along the streets with the fire
[00:15:58] departments and the policemen and
[00:16:01] they're all devastated. You know, the
[00:16:03] the they're still smoldering, but they
[00:16:06] weren't even allowed to go in there. The
[00:16:07] Environmental Protection Agency local
[00:16:10] said, "Don't go on your property." Okay?
[00:16:12] We said, "Okay, don't worry about any
[00:16:15] any problem is gone. Any problem is
[00:16:17] burned. Any germs are burned. They're
[00:16:20] burned. They were burned. Nobody's ever
[00:16:22] seen anything like it." But all so
[00:16:25] unnecessary that it happened. But we got
[00:16:27] it all done in 20 days. The whole place.
[00:16:30] And yet now, still more than a year
[00:16:32] later, they don't have permits. Almost
[00:16:34] nobody is building. So, I haven't told
[00:16:37] this to Lee Zeldon yet, but I'm going to
[00:16:41] put you in charge of getting permits. I
[00:16:44] think we're going to override the local
[00:16:46] authorities because they're never going
[00:16:47] to they're never going to have it.
[00:16:51] And when I was told that there's a
[00:16:53] provision where you can lo override the
[00:16:55] local authority to get things done case
[00:16:58] of because it's really to me it's a
[00:17:00] national emergency. What they've done to
[00:17:02] these people is horrible. It's just
[00:17:04] horrible. and they'll still vote
[00:17:05] Democrat. Can you believe it? After all,
[00:17:07] it's just they get used to it. Although
[00:17:10] I must say we converted many. We'll
[00:17:12] probably convert a lot more. But I just
[00:17:14] want them to get into their houses. And
[00:17:16] I don't want a big section of the area
[00:17:18] built into lowincome housing. They want
[00:17:20] to put lowincome housing right smack in
[00:17:24] the middle of it. And uh that's not the
[00:17:26] American dream. You know, you didn't do
[00:17:29] that. And low-income housing is great. I
[00:17:31] built a lot of low-income housing, but
[00:17:33] you don't put it there. This is one of
[00:17:34] the richest neighborhoods in the world
[00:17:36] and we're going to let those people and
[00:17:38] I recommended strongly that everybody
[00:17:40] gets the approval, immediate approval to
[00:17:42] build a house and you give them a 10%
[00:17:44] bonus so they can build a house 10%
[00:17:47] larger than they had before if they want
[00:17:49] for all the suffering they've been
[00:17:51] caused so they can build a little bit
[00:17:53] bigger house. So Lee, if you want, will
[00:17:55] you accept the job?
[00:17:57] He's he's under a lot of stress. Okay.
[00:18:01] All right. override those people. This
[00:18:04] those people are incompetent between the
[00:18:06] mayor and the governor. They're
[00:18:07] incompetent. They'll never get They'll
[00:18:09] never get approved.
[00:18:11] They'll never get approved. So, do
[00:18:13] whatever you can, Lee. There's a
[00:18:14] provision that you're allowed to do it.
[00:18:16] And we will I'll sign it in two seconds.
[00:18:18] Frankly, they'll never ever It'll never
[00:18:20] happen. I also want to uh introduce a
[00:18:23] man, Frank Basigno. Now, if you met
[00:18:29] Frank and if you knew Frank, he's quiet,
[00:18:31] but he's actually a stone cold killer.
[00:18:34] He was one of the biggest people in
[00:18:36] business. He would been sitting with
[00:18:37] you. In fact, now he's got a better seat
[00:18:39] because he's working for the government.
[00:18:40] He's the head of a lot of things, but
[00:18:42] the job he's done in this country is
[00:18:45] great. And he's uh working on social
[00:18:49] security and a thing called the IRS.
[00:18:51] He's working with Scott on both of them
[00:18:53] really, but the IRS in particular. And
[00:18:56] he is a fantastic man. Where are you,
[00:18:58] Frank? Took the biggest pay cut in
[00:19:00] history. [applause] He went from being
[00:19:02] paid 35 million a year to being paid
[00:19:05] about $35 a year. I think you may have
[00:19:09] taken the biggest pay cut in history.
[00:19:10] He'd be close. He'd be one of the top
[00:19:12] five because a few people have done
[00:19:15] that. Few of you, few billionaires have
[00:19:17] sort of left. But Frank has gone from
[00:19:20] one of the most successful people. Well,
[00:19:22] he was a he worked with Jamie Diamond. I
[00:19:25] don't think Jamie likes me too much
[00:19:26] nowadays, but that's okay. I I never
[00:19:29] minded that. But Frank, you are
[00:19:31] fantastic and you're doing a great job.
[00:19:33] We appreciate it. Thank you. And thank
[00:19:34] you to their family. The director of
[00:19:37] National Economic Council, a man who's
[00:19:39] in the news a lot. You know, my only
[00:19:41] problem is I don't want to lose him. I
[00:19:42] will tell you that he's working from a
[00:19:44] big deficit because I don't want to lose
[00:19:46] him. He's so good. Kevin Hassid. Thank
[00:19:48] you, Kevin. Thank you, Kevin. [applause]
[00:19:53] a friend of mine, a senator who has been
[00:19:56] unbelievable. Uh she's a tremendous
[00:19:59] woman, a tremendous married to a great
[00:20:01] football player. She's her husband is a
[00:20:05] massive man. This guy, he played in the
[00:20:09] NFL, I guess, for 11 years. He was
[00:20:11] top-of-the-line player. I met him. I
[00:20:13] said, "That's not a normal situation.
[00:20:16] Look at this guy. This guy was seriously
[00:20:19] powerful big and he's as nice as he is
[00:20:21] big and she is one of our best senators.
[00:20:24] Senator Katie Britt.
[00:20:26] [applause]
[00:20:29] Thank you, darling.
[00:20:33] From Alabama. I love Alabama.
[00:20:35] We have We love Alabama. Uh Marsha
[00:20:40] Blackburn is an incredible person.
[00:20:43] Unfortunately, she's running for
[00:20:45] governor. She's running for governor of
[00:20:47] Tennessee. I'd love her not to. I begged
[00:20:49] her. I said, "Marca, don't. We don't
[00:20:51] want to lose you in the Senate." But I
[00:20:53] have to say, they're lucky. They're
[00:20:54] lucky to get you because you are a you
[00:20:56] are a talent and a great person and
[00:20:58] you've been with me all the way, and I
[00:21:00] appreciate it. And uh you're a very
[00:21:02] special person. Marcia, stand up,
[00:21:04] please.
[00:21:08] [applause]
[00:21:10] And a senator who's a friend of mine.
[00:21:12] You wouldn't believe that because we
[00:21:13] went through a rough campaign together.
[00:21:15] It was nasty. We got along so well and
[00:21:18] everybody we actually did joint rallies.
[00:21:20] Can you believe it? He wanted to get
[00:21:22] somebody action. So he's smart. He said,
[00:21:24] "Would you do a rally with me?" But we
[00:21:27] we did joint rallies and the press used
[00:21:28] to say, "Will you ever, you know, start
[00:21:31] fighting?" I said, "Don't worry, it'll
[00:21:33] come." He said the same thing. "Don't
[00:21:34] worry, it'll come." He's a very tough
[00:21:37] guy, very brilliant guy. In fact, when I
[00:21:39] said, you know, because I had never gone
[00:21:40] into a debate before officially. My
[00:21:42] whole life was a debate, but I'd never
[00:21:44] debated before officially. And I I said,
[00:21:47] "Let me find out about my competition.
[00:21:50] Who are these people?" Because many of
[00:21:52] them, you know, they were senators and
[00:21:53] mostly senators and governors. And uh I
[00:21:57] said, "Well, why don't we start with
[00:21:58] this guy named Ted Cruz? Let me, you
[00:22:01] know, give me Well, he was the best
[00:22:02] student at Harvard, number one in his
[00:22:05] class. He was the best student at
[00:22:06] Princeton or something. And he was the
[00:22:09] national debate champion for three
[00:22:11] years.
[00:22:12] And I said, 'Well, I don't like that. I
[00:22:14] didn't know that. I don't like that. And
[00:22:17] he was very good debater. I will tell
[00:22:19] you that. It was smart guy. But uh I'll
[00:22:21] never forget because he was the first
[00:22:23] one I looked at. You know, I've just
[00:22:25] joined the ranks of politics and uh the
[00:22:28] first uh famous that it was the Rosie
[00:22:30] O'Donald. Remember that? Only Rosie
[00:22:33] O'Donald.
[00:22:35] We they can Ireland you can keep her.
[00:22:38] [laughter]
[00:22:39] Ireland has done a tremendous the head
[00:22:42] of Ireland said are all your people this
[00:22:43] way we don't want that
[00:22:46] but but Ted Cruz has one thing that I if
[00:22:50] I ever have problems because it's hard
[00:22:51] to get people approved he's a brilliant
[00:22:54] legal mind he's a brilliant man if I
[00:22:57] nominate him for the United States
[00:22:59] Supreme Court I will get 100% of the
[00:23:02] vote Democrats will vote for him because
[00:23:04] they want to get him the hell out and
[00:23:06] the Republicans will vote for him
[00:23:08] because they want to get him the hell
[00:23:09] out, too. Where's Ted? Where are you,
[00:23:12] Ted? [applause]
[00:23:16] And with all of that being said, he's a
[00:23:18] great guy, too. He's a great guy. We've
[00:23:20] become friends, and he's a very
[00:23:22] effective person, too. Thank you, Ted,
[00:23:24] very much. Uh, the man knows more about
[00:23:26] tax than anybody that I know. Jason
[00:23:29] Smith, Congressman. Wonderful person.
[00:23:32] Thanks, Jace. Thank you, Jason. Great
[00:23:34] job. Idaho Governor Brad Little.
[00:23:38] Terrific guy. Thank you, Brad.
[00:23:41] [applause]
[00:23:42] Georgia Lieutenant Governor Bert Jones,
[00:23:44] who hopefully will be the governor of
[00:23:46] Georgia very shortly. They have a big
[00:23:48] race. He's leading by a lot in the
[00:23:49] polls. He was outstanding as a
[00:23:51] lieutenant governor. He's great
[00:23:53] everywhere. And I've endorsed him fully,
[00:23:55] so I don't want to, you know, do
[00:23:57] anything that you don't know about. I
[00:23:59] have given him my complete and total
[00:24:00] endorsement. Bert Jones, where are you,
[00:24:02] Bert? Thank you, Bert. Great guy.
[00:24:07] >> [applause]
[00:24:08] >> Chief Design Officer of the United
[00:24:10] States, Joe Gabia. Joe, thank you.
[00:24:16] Great idea. Great, great ideas. Also, we
[00:24:19] have Mr. Wonderful Kevin Olirri. I like
[00:24:21] Kevin Ol. Where's Kevin Ol?
[00:24:23] [applause and cheering]
[00:24:24] It's so nice. He's with me 90% of the
[00:24:27] time, but when he's with me, he's really
[00:24:29] with me. Great. And we got the Tik Tok
[00:24:32] deal done. Who the hell thought we could
[00:24:34] do that, right?
[00:24:36] I know. I I wish he wanted to buy Tik
[00:24:39] Tok so much, but and I would have done
[00:24:41] it, but his price was slightly lower
[00:24:44] slightly. He wants He's uh he's
[00:24:46] fantastic. What a good You're an
[00:24:48] entertainer, businessman. You had the
[00:24:50] whole quality. So, I I appre I know what
[00:24:52] you did. Having done The Apprentice. I
[00:24:55] see you on television. You have what it
[00:24:56] takes, right? So, I appreciate it. And
[00:24:59] thanks for all the nice things you do.
[00:25:01] And Cheryl Hines, where's Cheryl? Wow.
[00:25:05] married to a very, very powerful,
[00:25:07] important man. And I said, "I'll tell
[00:25:11] you, Bobby, she's strong." I watched her
[00:25:14] in an interview. I said, "Bobby,
[00:25:16] you keep him in line, don't you?" She
[00:25:19] said, "Yes, I do." She's got no choice.
[00:25:21] He's doing He's doing a great job, and
[00:25:23] so are you.
[00:25:24] >> Yeah, he's doing a great job. He's doing
[00:25:26] a very different kind of a job, too. And
[00:25:28] he's doing things that people have
[00:25:30] wanted to do for a long time, and they
[00:25:33] didn't. They didn't have the courage.
[00:25:34] So, say hello to Bobby. Okay. [snorts]
[00:25:37] We're also pleased. Uh my daughter, she
[00:25:39] went crazy when she heard that this was
[00:25:42] I want to go. You know, she happens to
[00:25:43] be in the wrong state right now for
[00:25:45] that, but when she heard that there's a
[00:25:47] certain person that's here who's the
[00:25:50] greatest and most successful female
[00:25:52] rapper in history, Nicki Minaj. Come on.
[00:25:56] And you know,
[00:25:58] [applause]
[00:26:01] and Nikki makes a lot of cash. Not as
[00:26:04] much as Michael Dell. Not quite. Not as
[00:26:07] much, but that's okay. But Nikki makes a
[00:26:10] lot of money and she's generously
[00:26:12] stepping up. She's investing hundreds of
[00:26:14] thousands of dollars in Trump accounts
[00:26:16] to support the children. And really,
[00:26:19] really the children of her incredible
[00:26:21] fans. That's great. Focus on that. Why
[00:26:23] should you give to somebody else's fans?
[00:26:25] Give to your fans. I like that. But uh
[00:26:28] and and I just think she's great. You
[00:26:30] know, I've been hearing so much over the
[00:26:32] years cuz I didn't know Nikki and I've
[00:26:34] been hearing over the years she's a big
[00:26:35] Trump supporter and a Trump fan and she
[00:26:38] took a little heat on occasion. Her
[00:26:40] community isn't necessarily I tell you
[00:26:42] we did pretty damn well with it with
[00:26:44] your community as we as we say. But uh
[00:26:48] Nikki has been an unbelievable
[00:26:51] supporter. She gets more she gets almost
[00:26:53] as much as Mr. wonderful over here. He's
[00:26:56] been another one that's been so good.
[00:26:57] But uh I'd like to ask you to come up,
[00:27:00] Nikki. Come on up. Come on. [cheering]
[00:27:03] She's been such a great supporter and a
[00:27:06] great supporter of Trump accounts.
[00:27:10] [cheering]
[00:27:12] [applause]
[00:27:13] And I said, I'm going to let my nails
[00:27:16] grow because I love those nails. I'm
[00:27:18] gonna I'm gonna let those nails grow.
[00:27:26] She's so good. She's been She's been
[00:27:29] MAGA. What can I say? She's been with us
[00:27:32] all the way, right, Alex? She's been
[00:27:34] with us all the way. And just want to
[00:27:36] thank her.
[00:27:38] And it wasn't so easy for you. It was
[00:27:40] easier, right? Want to come up? You want
[00:27:43] to come up, Mr. Mr. Wonderful? Come on
[00:27:46] up here. You've been terrific. Come on
[00:27:48] up.
[00:27:53] >> [applause]
[00:27:57] [cheering]
[00:28:01] [applause]
[00:28:09] [cheering]
[00:28:10] [applause]
[00:28:14] >> Hello.
[00:28:17] Uh,
[00:28:19] well, I don't know what to say, but I
[00:28:21] will say that um
[00:28:25] I am probably the president's number one
[00:28:30] fan
[00:28:32] [cheering]
[00:28:32] [applause]
[00:28:34] and that's not going to change. And the
[00:28:38] the hate or what people have to say, it
[00:28:42] does not affect me at all. It actually
[00:28:45] motivates me to support him more
[00:28:47] [cheering]
[00:28:48] and it's going to motivate all of us to
[00:28:50] support him more. We're not going to let
[00:28:52] them get away with bullying him and you
[00:28:55] know the smear campaigns. It's not going
[00:28:57] to work. Okay? He has a lot of force
[00:29:01] behind him and God is protecting him.
[00:29:06] Amen.
[00:29:09] [applause]
[00:29:15] Okay.
[00:29:17] >> Thank you. Thank you. [cheering]
[00:29:20] [applause]
[00:29:24] >> On behalf of all the entrepreneurs in
[00:29:27] America, I'd like to thank you, Mr.
[00:29:28] President, because
[00:29:31] we create 72% of the jobs companies 5 to
[00:29:34] 500 employees, and all we care about is
[00:29:37] policy. We love policy, pro business
[00:29:41] policy and these accounts are fantastic
[00:29:43] for independence and support. I thank
[00:29:45] you very much. It's all about the
[00:29:48] entrepreneur and I think you know that
[00:29:50] sir.
[00:29:51] >> Thank you very [applause]
[00:29:56] much. [applause]
[00:30:00] >> Well, that was great. A little
[00:30:02] interlude. I don't know. That's better
[00:30:03] than getting Scott Bessent up.
[00:30:10] Thank you both very much. Two terrific
[00:30:13] people. When Trump accounts officially
[00:30:16] launch on July 4th of this year, every
[00:30:18] parent will be able to activate their
[00:30:21] accounts and access the funds at the
[00:30:24] trumpaccounts.gov.
[00:30:26] So, it's all set up, all ready to go.
[00:30:29] It's beautiful. The site is beautiful.
[00:30:32] On that glorious day, we also expect to
[00:30:34] have commitments from generous private
[00:30:37] individuals in all 50 states. And
[00:30:39] they'll be making additional
[00:30:41] contributions for children in their own
[00:30:43] states. And already legendary investor
[00:30:46] Ray Dallio has pledged to adopt the
[00:30:49] entire state of Connecticut. That's
[00:30:51] pretty good, Michael.
[00:30:53] And thank you very much, Ray. Great
[00:30:55] legend. And today, one of the original
[00:30:58] advocates of this program has agreed to
[00:31:01] adopt his home state of Indiana, Brad
[00:31:03] Gersner. And Brad's here someplace.
[00:31:06] Where's Brad? Come on. I think Michael
[00:31:09] and Brad, would you come up here,
[00:31:10] please? Come up here. I mean, this isn't
[00:31:13] exactly Mr. Wonderful and Nikki,
[00:31:17] but I think they might be worth more
[00:31:18] money than Mr. Wonderful, right? These
[00:31:21] guys are worth a lot of money.
[00:31:24] But Brad is donating. Listen to this.
[00:31:26] $250
[00:31:28] to Trump accounts for all children under
[00:31:31] five in Indiana. So every children, all
[00:31:34] the children under five. 250. And he'll
[00:31:36] be donating tens of millions of dollars
[00:31:39] more in matching contributions to
[00:31:41] millions of ch children all across the
[00:31:44] country. He's going to make a massive
[00:31:45] donation. Already we know what it is.
[00:31:48] Brad is not only one of the most
[00:31:49] successful business people, he's the
[00:31:51] founder of the Invest America Foundation
[00:31:54] and he's been working on this idea for
[00:31:56] years and he was the one he went over to
[00:31:58] see Michael. Michael loved it and those
[00:32:00] two were a hell of a team along with uh
[00:32:03] Mrs. Dell who's been so great. Susan, I
[00:32:07] also uh delighted to report that dozens
[00:32:10] of major employers have signed up to add
[00:32:13] the Trump account contributions to their
[00:32:15] employee benefit packages, including
[00:32:17] Uber, Schwab, Charter Communications,
[00:32:20] and many, many others. And just today,
[00:32:23] it was announced that Intel, Nvidia,
[00:32:26] Broadcom, IBM, Stake and Shake,
[00:32:28] Coinbase, Continental Resources, and
[00:32:31] Comcast have all signed up for really
[00:32:33] big contributions. So, I want to thank
[00:32:35] them. I want to have you two guys come
[00:32:37] on up. Would you say a couple of words?
[00:32:40] Brad and Michael, would you say a couple
[00:32:42] of words? That's fant.
[00:32:44] >> Only Indiana. You can't do bigger. We
[00:32:46] love Indiana, but you know, how about
[00:32:47] Indiana, Iowa? [laughter]
[00:32:49] No, we appreciate it. Big numbers. Thank
[00:32:51] you.
[00:32:52] >> Thank you.
[00:32:54] >> Well, four years ago, we set off on a
[00:32:56] journey to reconnect every child in
[00:32:59] America with the American dream. This
[00:33:02] president ran on a main street agenda
[00:33:04] that too many people had been left out
[00:33:06] and left behind. And his articulation of
[00:33:10] no tax on tips, that doesn't help rich
[00:33:12] folks, that helps those left out and
[00:33:14] left behind. No tax on social security,
[00:33:17] uh, no tax on overtime. And when Ted
[00:33:20] Cruz authored the Invest America Act in
[00:33:22] the Senate, um, and Michael Dell
[00:33:25] partnered with me to bring the private
[00:33:28] sector to bear on this. we had the
[00:33:31] opportunity that this president was
[00:33:33] willing to sign. He immediately
[00:33:36] understood the impact that this wasn't
[00:33:38] about the wealthy folks in America. This
[00:33:40] was about the 50 million American
[00:33:43] families who will be lifted up and
[00:33:45] reconnected to the American dream
[00:33:47] because this is now the law of the land
[00:33:49] for every more forever more. Every child
[00:33:52] in America from rural Missouri to rural
[00:33:55] Indiana, from Trenton to Compton, is
[00:33:58] going to start off life with an
[00:34:00] investment account at birth seated with
[00:34:02] $1,000 where they privately own Nvidia
[00:34:06] and Microsoft, all the greatest com
[00:34:08] companies in this country, right? Not
[00:34:10] dependent on government, independent
[00:34:13] from government, not more socialism. The
[00:34:16] answer to more socialism is more
[00:34:18] capitalism. This makes every child in
[00:34:21] America a capitalist from birth. And it
[00:34:23] would not have happened without the
[00:34:24] leadership of our Treasury Secretary
[00:34:27] Scott Bessant, without the leadership of
[00:34:29] the speaker and Ted Cruz in the Senate.
[00:34:31] But most importantly, and every business
[00:34:34] leader in America will tell you this.
[00:34:37] For too long, they had no access in
[00:34:40] Washington to the White House. People
[00:34:42] didn't want to hear their ideas. This
[00:34:45] president is voracious in his desire to
[00:34:48] hear from America's leaders about how to
[00:34:51] make America better. This is citizen
[00:34:54] democracy at its best. An idea that
[00:34:57] started around a kitchen table in
[00:34:59] Silicon Valley makes its way to this
[00:35:01] day. I'm humbled and honored to be here
[00:35:04] and I'm grateful for your leadership.
[00:35:06] >> Great. Thank you. [applause]
[00:35:13] >> Thank you, Mr. President. uh you know as
[00:35:15] you heard from Brad you know the fact
[00:35:18] that this bill got passed itself was a
[00:35:21] was a miracle and it creates a platform
[00:35:25] for
[00:35:27] communities for families for
[00:35:29] corporations for philanthropists to add
[00:35:31] to these accounts and in not too many
[00:35:34] years essentially every child in America
[00:35:37] will have
[00:35:39] savings invested in the greatest
[00:35:42] companies in this country and that will
[00:35:45] change the face of this country over the
[00:35:48] next 10 20 30 years and we couldn't be
[00:35:51] more excited about this and uh the
[00:35:54] opportunity to make a difference. You
[00:35:55] know the best investment a a country can
[00:35:59] make is in its people especially in its
[00:36:02] children and this creates an incredible
[00:36:06] platform for that to occur at enormous
[00:36:08] scale and we're excited to see it all
[00:36:11] come together. Thank you all so much.
[00:36:13] >> [applause]
[00:36:24] >> those are two fantastic people. I can
[00:36:27] tell you that. I want to give a very
[00:36:29] special thanks to some of the CEOs here
[00:36:32] this morning. Vlad Tenev of Robin Hood.
[00:36:35] What a job he's done. Where's Vlad? What
[00:36:37] a job you've done. [applause]
[00:36:40] Young guy. Nice young guy too.
[00:36:44] Arjun Seti of Kraken. Arjun, thank you
[00:36:47] very much wherever you are. [applause]
[00:36:51] Thank you.
[00:36:53] Anthony Notto of Sofi Technologies.
[00:36:56] Sofi, thank you very much, Anthony.
[00:37:00] These are the ones you read about and
[00:37:02] Bill Aman is here. Persing Square and
[00:37:04] Hawkan of Broadcom and so many others
[00:37:07] that I I if I name them, we'll be up
[00:37:09] here all day. But I just want to say
[00:37:11] that uh what a job you've all done.
[00:37:14] Incredible job. Everybody. Just about
[00:37:16] everybody in this room. Not everybody.
[00:37:18] I'm not in love with everybody, but
[00:37:20] couple of them I don't like very much,
[00:37:21] but if they're here, I'm starting to
[00:37:23] like them a lot better because they're
[00:37:25] here for a very good reason. I'm
[00:37:27] officially calling on all employers all
[00:37:30] across America to follow the lead of
[00:37:32] many of these amazing companies and make
[00:37:35] matching Trump account contributions to
[00:37:37] benefit for the American worker. And
[00:37:40] they're going to benefit the American
[00:37:42] worker so much. This morning, I'm also
[00:37:45] pleased to announce that Visa is
[00:37:47] creating a brand new platform which will
[00:37:50] allow credit card holders to deposit
[00:37:52] their cashback rewards directly into
[00:37:54] Trump accounts. That's a big deal. Visa,
[00:37:57] thank you. Where's Visa? The head of
[00:38:00] Visa. Thank you very much, Visa.
[00:38:04] These initiatives could not come at a
[00:38:06] better moment because there's never been
[00:38:09] a better time to invest in the United
[00:38:11] States of America than right now. Who
[00:38:13] knew it would have happened this fast? I
[00:38:16] inherited a mess. We were a country that
[00:38:19] was laughed at a year and a half ago. We
[00:38:21] were laughed at. Now we're the hottest
[00:38:23] country anywhere in the world. Nobody
[00:38:25] even closed. So, you know, who knew this
[00:38:28] was going to take place this quickly,
[00:38:30] right, Michael? I didn't think it was
[00:38:32] going to go that fast. I knew we were
[00:38:33] going to do it, but I thought it would
[00:38:35] take a couple of years at least. We just
[00:38:37] couple of days longer than the first
[00:38:39] year. So, it's really amazing. And just
[00:38:42] this morning, as I'm running out, I see
[00:38:43] the S&P 500 hit 7,000 for the first time
[00:38:47] ever. Ever. [applause]
[00:38:50] So, I say America is back. America is
[00:38:53] back. Since the election, the stock
[00:38:55] market has set 52 all-time record highs,
[00:38:58] adding $9 trillion in value, and $18
[00:39:01] trillion of investment is pouring into
[00:39:04] the country. It's going to be higher
[00:39:05] than that. Just over one year ago, we
[00:39:08] were a country that lost its way. We
[00:39:10] were mocked and scorned. And every
[00:39:13] American child will now be and have
[00:39:17] access to something that is really
[00:39:20] incredible. and they can watch directly
[00:39:22] the economic boom that's taking place.
[00:39:25] This is a boom that's taking place the
[00:39:27] likes of which we've really never seen.
[00:39:29] I don't think people, you know, get it
[00:39:31] yet. Not a lot of people, they don't get
[00:39:34] it. They don't see the thousands of
[00:39:36] businesses being built, the hundreds and
[00:39:38] hundreds of massive factories that are
[00:39:39] going up all over. Uh but uh they're
[00:39:43] going to start to see it. They're
[00:39:44] starting to see it. I mean, if they're
[00:39:46] modestly intelligent, if they're very
[00:39:48] intelligent, they saw it about a year
[00:39:50] ago.
[00:39:51] With us today is Craig Smith, a fourthg
[00:39:54] generation family farmer and volunteer
[00:39:56] firefighter from Co Pepper, Virginia,
[00:39:59] along with his wonderful wife, Heather.
[00:40:02] Craig and Heather have an 18-month-old
[00:40:04] son and a one-mon-old that they also
[00:40:08] welcomed just recently, twin boys, and
[00:40:12] they can't wait to activate Trump
[00:40:14] accounts for all three of their children
[00:40:17] this July 4th. Craig and Heather, do you
[00:40:22] want to come up here? Craig and Heather,
[00:40:23] where are you? Craig and Heather, come
[00:40:25] on up. Craig and Heather, come on up.
[00:40:29] Come on up. It meant so much to them.
[00:40:32] You know, people write letters. Every
[00:40:33] once in a while, you get a letter. It
[00:40:34] just hit you. Craig and Heather, come on
[00:40:36] up. Thank you.
[00:40:40] That's great. Wow. Look at this family,
[00:40:42] huh? They're our rich family now.
[00:40:47] The kids are richer than the parents.
[00:40:48] This is It's the way we want it. Thank
[00:40:52] you very much. Wow.
[00:40:56] [applause]
[00:40:59] You like to
[00:41:02] We just want to thank President Trump
[00:41:04] for all of his
[00:41:07] hard work and dedication uh to American
[00:41:09] families and farm families like ours. Uh
[00:41:12] farming is not always easy and sometimes
[00:41:14] margins are tight. So investments like
[00:41:16] this into our children really help us to
[00:41:18] buy diapers and formula and not have to
[00:41:21] worry about um making financial
[00:41:23] decisions for them this early on. So
[00:41:25] thank you very much, President Trump.
[00:41:27] >> Thank you very much. [applause]
[00:41:30] Thank you.
[00:41:34] >> Thank you.
[00:41:36] >> Thank you very much. So nice. Also
[00:41:39] joining us today is the Goens family
[00:41:41] from Fedville, Arkansas. Charlie works
[00:41:44] in manufacturing and he's here with his
[00:41:46] wife Savannah, his high school
[00:41:49] sweetheart. In 2022, Charlie and
[00:41:51] Savannah open their home to foster care,
[00:41:54] expecting really expecting to take in
[00:41:58] one child, but soon they were taken in a
[00:42:02] family of three siblings and formally
[00:42:04] adopting them. A short time later,
[00:42:06] Charlie and Savannah also welcomed a
[00:42:08] biological daughter. Trump accounts will
[00:42:11] give each of these children a much
[00:42:13] better start in life. And Charlie and
[00:42:15] Savannah, where are you? Are you down
[00:42:17] there? Do you want to come up? Come on
[00:42:19] up here, Charlie, real fast. We're
[00:42:20] holding up a lot of big business people.
[00:42:22] We can't hold them up.
[00:42:24] Michael will take back his donation.
[00:42:27] Say, what? I want my money back. Come on
[00:42:30] up here.
[00:42:34] These are great families, but there's
[00:42:36] millions and millions of families that
[00:42:38] are going to be so amazed and so happy
[00:42:41] at what's taken place. Sort of a
[00:42:43] miracle, I think.
[00:42:46] >> Nice to see you. How are you?
[00:42:56] >> [applause and cheering]
[00:43:03] >> Uh thank you, President Trump, for
[00:43:04] having uh my family and me here today.
[00:43:08] Uh my wife and I have spent the better
[00:43:10] part of our adult lives uh adv working
[00:43:13] to advance children in our community.
[00:43:16] And it was our faith that first led us
[00:43:18] to uh open our home to foster care. And
[00:43:21] it was God's plan that uh that allowed
[00:43:24] us Absolutely.
[00:43:27] [applause]
[00:43:30] And it was God's plan that uh that
[00:43:33] allowed us to uh adopt three amazing
[00:43:36] children out of foster care. Uh to
[00:43:40] uh welcome so many more. and of course
[00:43:43] uh this past year welcome our youngest
[00:43:45] daughter Florence into the world. Uh
[00:43:48] it's through our experience that uh
[00:43:50] we've seen how opportunity or the lack
[00:43:52] thereof can um really
[00:43:56] impact a child uh at the very beginning
[00:43:59] stages of their life before they even
[00:44:01] get a chance themselves. And that's why,
[00:44:02] you know, my wife and I uh uh along with
[00:44:06] some of the work that the first lady is
[00:44:08] doing um we are working to uh help
[00:44:11] foster families and f foster and adopted
[00:44:14] families and personally in in our state
[00:44:17] uh with protections and support in our
[00:44:19] home state of Arkansas. Uh you know,
[00:44:21] every child deserves hope, stability,
[00:44:23] and a strong chance uh at a future, a
[00:44:26] strong future. And uh for young families
[00:44:29] especially like ours that uh your first
[00:44:31] priorities are of course your diapers
[00:44:33] and your wives and your car seats and
[00:44:34] all that stuff. And so starting uh and
[00:44:37] investing into a uh investment account
[00:44:40] is not necessarily on the top of the
[00:44:41] priority list. And we're so thankful to
[00:44:43] have this. And I think this sends a
[00:44:46] powerful message that this uh
[00:44:48] administration believes that financial
[00:44:49] opportunity can start early, that it is
[00:44:52] intentional, and that it can impact
[00:44:55] every single family. and my wife and I
[00:44:57] are so excited that this administration
[00:44:59] has uh placed families and children like
[00:45:02] ours at the forefront of economic policy
[00:45:05] and we're so excited for uh the the
[00:45:07] future of the children and for this
[00:45:10] country. Thank you.
[00:45:12] [applause]
[00:45:20] [applause]
[00:45:21] >> That's a great job. I was wondering how
[00:45:24] much longer he could. Did you notice it?
[00:45:27] It's getting heavy. It's still 50 pounds
[00:45:31] or something. I said, "How much longer
[00:45:33] is that?" And finally,
[00:45:36] it broke loose.
[00:45:40] But you could see a loving father there,
[00:45:42] couldn't you? Huh? The way he did that,
[00:45:43] right? Wasn't that a loving father? I
[00:45:45] watched that. He was grabbing.
[00:45:47] [applause]
[00:45:48] That's a great family. Thank you very
[00:45:50] much both. Beautiful. So in conclusion,
[00:45:53] the ultimate success of the Trump
[00:45:55] accounts will be measured not just in
[00:45:57] the wealth created. It will be seen in
[00:46:00] young people buying houses that they
[00:46:02] could never have even dreamed of buying.
[00:46:05] It'll be seen in diplomas earned,
[00:46:07] companies founded, families formed, and
[00:46:10] more babies born. It'll really be seen
[00:46:12] in something where you're given a
[00:46:14] chance. You're given a chance at life, a
[00:46:16] very good chance. Above all, Trump
[00:46:18] accounts will help bring the hope and
[00:46:21] prosperity to every community that every
[00:46:23] community wants to see. And it'll bring
[00:46:26] back the American dream. The American
[00:46:28] dream is so beautiful. I would mention
[00:46:30] it all the time when I'm running.
[00:46:32] Whenever I run, I talk about the
[00:46:34] American dream because that's what we
[00:46:35] want to create. Others don't talk about
[00:46:38] it, but we have the American dream back.
[00:46:40] I think now better than maybe better
[00:46:42] than ever before. For generations,
[00:46:45] Washington politicians have done nothing
[00:46:47] to take from the hardworking people of
[00:46:50] our country. They take and take. They do
[00:46:53] nothing but take. They've made workers
[00:46:56] lives harder, sent prices higher, pushed
[00:46:58] your dreams out of reach. And both
[00:47:01] parties, I mean, they didn't do the job
[00:47:02] that they were supposed to do. Some were
[00:47:06] fighting, and sometimes we fight against
[00:47:08] uh some of the great politicians we have
[00:47:10] here. They fight with me, most of them,
[00:47:13] and we fight to make things better, but
[00:47:16] we run into walls of other politicians
[00:47:19] that either don't want to do something
[00:47:21] or they almost feel like it's a
[00:47:23] destruction of our country. But now
[00:47:26] we're doing something much better than
[00:47:28] giving the next generation a handout.
[00:47:30] We're giving them ownership of America's
[00:47:32] future so that they can grow up, chart
[00:47:35] their own destiny, and make our nation
[00:47:37] greater and stronger and better than
[00:47:39] ever before.
[00:47:40] So, I just want to thank all of the
[00:47:42] people that participated today, the
[00:47:44] great business leaders, the great
[00:47:46] celebrities, and all of the people that
[00:47:48] are in this room. You've done so much.
[00:47:50] And I just want to also give a little
[00:47:52] bit of a shout out to a lot of great
[00:47:55] politicians that are right now voting on
[00:47:57] some very important measures. Plus, the
[00:48:00] politicians in this room. They have
[00:48:02] really worked hard on this. This is
[00:48:03] something that it's uh amazing that it
[00:48:06] got done. If you knew the political
[00:48:08] process, it was very complex, very hard
[00:48:11] to get done to get all of those votes
[00:48:13] together, but we did it. And uh it's
[00:48:15] going to be great for America. And Brad
[00:48:18] and Michael, thank you both very much.
[00:48:20] Special special people. Thank you very
[00:48:22] much. And God bless everybody in the
[00:48:24] room. And God bless America. Thank you
[00:48:26] very much for being here. Thank you.
[00:48:28] [cheering] Thank you. [applause]
[00:48:30] [music]
[00:48:35] Thank you everybody.
[00:48:39] Thank you.
