President Trump on Jesse Jackson: "He was a piece of work but he was a good man."r

[00:00:00] I want to begin by expressing our [00:00:02] sadness at the passing of a person who [00:00:04] was I knew very well. Jesse was a piece [00:00:07] of work. I want to tell he was a piece [00:00:10] of work, but he was a good man. He was a [00:00:13] real He was a real hero and uh I just [00:00:17] want to pay my highest respects to [00:00:19] Reverend Jesse Jackson. [00:00:22] He's a good man who's actually as you [00:00:25] got to know him, he got better and [00:00:26] better all the time. a lot of one a lot [00:00:28] of people you get to know him they get [00:00:29] worse and worse. Jesse got better and [00:00:31] better but I knew him well long before [00:00:34] becoming president and he really was [00:00:37] special with lots of personality grit [00:00:39] and street smarts. You would say Jesse [00:00:41] had serious street smarts, right? A very [00:00:44] important ingredient to life. I will [00:00:46] tell you he was gregarious and someone [00:00:48] who truly loved people and a force of [00:00:51] nature. He was uh somebody that we're [00:00:54] going to greatly miss. And on behalf of [00:00:56] everyone here today, I know you join me [00:00:58] in sending our condolences to the entire [00:01:00] family.
