[00:00:04] [music and singing] [00:00:09] Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th [00:00:12] president of the United States, Donald [00:00:14] J. Trump. [00:00:15] >> And I'm proud to be an American where at [00:00:19] least I know I'm free and I won't forget [00:00:24] the man who died, who gave that right to [00:00:27] me. And I gladly stand up next to you. [00:00:32] And it's been her today. [00:00:35] Cuz there ain't no doubt I love this [00:00:38] land. [00:00:41] God bless the USA. [00:00:55] [music] [00:00:56] From the lakes of Minnesota [00:00:59] to the hills of Tennessee, [00:01:03] across the plains of Texas, [00:01:06] from sea [music] to shining city, [00:01:10] from Detroit down to Houston and New [00:01:14] York to LA. Will there light in every [00:01:18] American heart? And it's time we stand [00:01:21] and say [00:01:26] that I'm proud [music] to be an American [00:01:30] where at least I know I'm free and I [00:01:34] won't forget the man who died who gave [00:01:37] that right to me and let me stand up [00:01:42] next to you and defend her silver today. [00:01:47] Cuz there ain't no doubt I love this [00:01:50] land. [00:01:52] God bless you. [00:02:01] And I'm proud to be an [music] American [00:02:04] where I know I'm free. And I won't [00:02:09] forget the men who died, who gave that [00:02:13] fight to me. And I gladly stand up [00:02:18] next to you and defend hers today. [00:02:23] Cuz there ain't no doubt I love this [00:02:26] land. [00:02:28] God bless the US. [00:02:35] [music] [00:02:39] >> Thank you very much. Thank you very [00:02:42] much. What a place. I've been here [00:02:44] before. We spoke with you before. Who [00:02:48] knew it was going to turn out this well, [00:02:49] though? Really, I told you we're going [00:02:51] to do a lot of things. Nobody thought it [00:02:53] was going to turn out like this. This [00:02:54] has been crazy. But it's a true honor to [00:02:57] be back at the Detroit Economic Club [00:03:00] with the businessmen and women who are [00:03:02] really the economic engine of America. [00:03:05] That's what you are. You've become more [00:03:06] of that since I've been in a lot more. [00:03:09] factories and plants were going to close [00:03:11] and now they're going 24 hours. I just [00:03:13] left Bill Ford. He's running his plant [00:03:15] 150 plant 24 hours a day round the [00:03:19] clock. It wasn't running that way two [00:03:22] two years ago, I can tell you. [00:03:26] But it's the [00:03:28] complex that uh Ford Motor Company so [00:03:30] cherishes. It was a pleasure to see that [00:03:33] the crown jewel of Detroit auto industry [00:03:35] is what they call it is still going [00:03:38] after 100 years. Can you imagine over a [00:03:40] hundred years? I especially want to [00:03:41] thank the president of the Detroit [00:03:43] Economic Club, Steve Gregorian. Where is [00:03:46] Steve? Steve. Where is Steve? Hi, Steve. [00:03:51] Nice looking man. [00:03:54] Nice looking guy. [00:03:56] And board chair Sandy Pierce. Thank you [00:03:58] very much, Sandy. Thank you very much. [00:04:03] And we have some very special people [00:04:05] here. We have a man who's doing a [00:04:06] fantastic job. I get angry at him every [00:04:08] once in a while, but very very seldom [00:04:11] because he just he's got what it takes. [00:04:13] Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant. Scott. [00:04:17] [cheering] [00:04:19] Hi, Scott. [00:04:22] Hi, Scott. What a good guy. He's got a [00:04:25] good pulse, doesn't he? Good pulse of [00:04:27] wet. What's going on? Thank you, Scott. [00:04:29] He's been great. Michigan House Speaker [00:04:31] Matt Hall. Matt. Hi, Matt. [00:04:37] We did good in Michigan, Matt. We won [00:04:39] the whole thing in Michigan, didn't we? [00:04:40] Huh? Three times we won. You know that, [00:04:44] right? They didn't give us credit the [00:04:46] second time, but we won the second time. [00:04:48] But we made the last one, Matt, too big [00:04:51] to rig, right? That's what you got. [00:04:53] That's the only way you win races in [00:04:56] many cases. I got to tell you, it's too [00:04:58] bad. I think they should get voter ID. [00:05:00] Wouldn't it be nice? The Democrats are [00:05:02] totally against voter ID. Who's against [00:05:05] voter ID? How can you even campaign? We [00:05:07] are against voter ID. How do you not get [00:05:09] voter ID? You know what it means, Matt, [00:05:12] right? When you're against voter ID, you [00:05:13] want to cheat. That's all. There's only [00:05:15] one reason you want to cheat, and they [00:05:17] do cheat. Terrible. [00:05:19] Michigan Senate Republican leader Eric [00:05:21] Nesbbit. Thank you, Eric. Thank you. [00:05:24] Look good, Eric. [00:05:27] State Senator Jim Runstat. Jim, thank [00:05:30] you. Thank you. Thank you, Jim. [00:05:33] former Congressman Mike Rogers who's [00:05:35] running for the Senate and he'll be a [00:05:37] great senator and [00:05:41] he's going to be a great senator. He was [00:05:43] a great congressman and then he left. He [00:05:46] went on to very big things. He did well [00:05:47] no matter where he was. And I think they [00:05:50] took that away from you last time. I'll [00:05:52] be honest with you, Mike. I really do. [00:05:54] Don't like to get things going. I don't [00:05:55] like to be controversial at all. [00:05:59] But they rigged the election on you. [00:06:01] Mine was Mine was too big to rig. You [00:06:04] were You won. I'm telling you, you won. [00:06:06] But you're gonna do great this time. [00:06:08] He's a great guy. Actually, he's be an [00:06:10] amazing senator. Thank you. Thank you [00:06:12] for being here to [00:06:14] Special Envoy to Iraq, Mark Seaya. Mark, [00:06:22] hi Mark. Thank you. Great job you've [00:06:24] done. [00:06:25] This guy, he negotiates better than [00:06:27] anybody around. Thank you. You need it [00:06:30] with Iraq. You need it. You need to be a [00:06:32] good negotiator. Mark, I also want to [00:06:34] thank Michigan's great congressional [00:06:36] delegation. They're amazing. That's been [00:06:38] back in Washington due to a very [00:06:40] important vote that's coming up. They [00:06:43] had a choice, sir. We want to be with [00:06:44] you, but if we're not with you, we're [00:06:46] going to lose. But we'll still be with [00:06:47] you. I said, "No, no. I'd rather have [00:06:48] you win. Don't worry about." So, we're [00:06:51] going to win the vote. Representatives [00:06:53] Lisa Mlan, Jack Bergman, John Molinar, [00:06:58] Bill Heisinger, Tim Wahberg, John James, [00:07:02] and Tom Barrett. They're great people, [00:07:04] every one of them. [00:07:07] And as many of you remember, I came here [00:07:09] at the height of the 2024 campaign to [00:07:12] lay out my plan to bring jobs and [00:07:14] factories and wealth racing back to the [00:07:16] United States and coming back to the [00:07:19] great state of Michigan. And just a few [00:07:22] weeks later, the people of the state and [00:07:23] the voters all across the country [00:07:25] endorsed that vision in a landslide [00:07:27] victory. We had a we won everything. We [00:07:29] won all seven swing states. We won the [00:07:32] electoral college 312 to 226. We won the [00:07:36] popular vote by millions and millions of [00:07:38] Oh, it's so nice to win the popular [00:07:39] vote. I won the popular vote all three [00:07:42] times, too. But we're not going to get [00:07:43] into that. But the first time they said [00:07:45] I didn't win the popular vote, but I won [00:07:47] the electoral college. So that always [00:07:49] while he didn't win, this is the way I [00:07:51] got introduced every time. While he [00:07:53] didn't win the popular vote, he won the [00:07:55] electoral college, you know. So this is [00:07:57] the way I was introduced for four years. [00:07:59] And guess what? We said, I'm going back [00:08:01] and we're going to win the And we won [00:08:02] the popular vote by a lot. By a lot. So [00:08:06] they can't say that crap anymore. [00:08:09] And the thing that was most impressive, [00:08:10] we won 86% of all counties in America, [00:08:14] 2,700 to 525. I'm think of that 2,700 to [00:08:19] 525. And that's why when you look at the [00:08:22] maps on Republican, Democrat, with red [00:08:24] being Republican, as most of you know by [00:08:27] now, I think every once in a while you [00:08:29] see one where they have it reversed. I [00:08:30] said, "Why would we do that?" Well, we [00:08:31] think it looks better. I said, "Look, [00:08:32] red is Republican. Let's not try and [00:08:34] change the voters's minds on things. [00:08:37] Just do it that way." And the map was [00:08:39] virtually all red. That was about the [00:08:41] counties. That was the 2,700 to 55 [00:08:46] 550 I think is the exact number. Most [00:08:48] importantly, we want a historic mandate [00:08:51] to make America great again. And that's [00:08:54] what we're doing. We're making America [00:08:56] great again like never before. [00:09:00] And now after less than 12 months in [00:09:02] office, this is the easiest speech to [00:09:04] make. I have great people and all I'm [00:09:06] doing is spewing off what the hell we've [00:09:08] done. Even Venezuela wasn't too bad, was [00:09:11] it? Huh? [00:09:17] But you have people, Democrats, they [00:09:19] say, "I don't know if we should have [00:09:20] done Venezuela." I don't know. Anybody [00:09:22] that says that hates our country. Okay, [00:09:25] that was as flawless an attack as there [00:09:27] has ever been. And they asked us to help [00:09:29] them. They have 50 million barrels of [00:09:34] oil. They said, "Take it. It's$5 billion [00:09:37] dollars." We did. We're working with the [00:09:39] Venezuelan people and representatives [00:09:41] and it's amazing. But that was an [00:09:44] amazing situation. But we did [00:09:47] Albaghdaddy [00:09:49] flawless. We did Solommani flawless. We [00:09:52] did the Iran nuclear attack where we [00:09:54] wiped out their nuclear capacity which [00:09:56] would have been very bad. You wouldn't [00:09:57] have peace in the Middle East. Flawless. [00:09:59] We did them all flawless. I want to keep [00:10:01] it going that way too. I like flawless. [00:10:04] Think about Jimmy Carter, the great [00:10:05] Jimmy Carter, with the helicopters [00:10:07] crashing, the hostages all over the [00:10:09] place. Remember that one? Think about [00:10:12] sleepy Joe Biden with Afghanistan. What [00:10:15] a disaster. The most embarrassing day in [00:10:17] the history of our country, in my [00:10:19] opinion. [00:10:21] Real dope. Now, after less than 12 [00:10:24] months in office, I'm back in Michigan [00:10:26] to report to you on the strongest and [00:10:28] fastest economic turnaround in our [00:10:30] country's history. It's really been [00:10:31] historic. There's never been there's [00:10:34] never been We're not 12 months. We're [00:10:35] through 11 months. We've got $18 [00:10:38] trillion being invested in our country. [00:10:40] The most of any country ever was three. [00:10:43] We're at 18. There's never been anything [00:10:44] like this. You are so lucky I allow you [00:10:47] into this room to even be with me. I'm [00:10:51] kidding. I'm kidding. The fake news will [00:10:54] say will say Donald Trump thinks he's [00:10:56] hot stuff. Right now, I'm feeling pretty [00:10:59] good though. I will say no. You're so [00:11:01] lucky to be here. Under our [00:11:04] administration, growth is exploding, [00:11:06] productivity is soaring, investment is [00:11:08] booming, incomes are rising, inflation [00:11:11] is defeated, America is respected again [00:11:14] like never before. And other than that, [00:11:17] we're not doing that well. [00:11:19] Now, think of all those things I just [00:11:21] said. every single inflation down, [00:11:23] growth at an all-time high, stock market [00:11:26] every day, 48 days in a row. 48 days [00:11:29] during a course of 11 months, we hit a [00:11:32] new high on the stock market. All of [00:11:33] them. One year ago, we were a dead [00:11:36] country. Now we are the hottest country [00:11:38] anywhere in the world. That was said to [00:11:40] me by many leaders. [00:11:42] By almost every metric, we have quickly [00:11:45] gone from the worst numbers on record to [00:11:48] the best and strongest numbers, the most [00:11:50] dynamic numbers, and an economy that is [00:11:53] far ahead of even my optimistic. I had a [00:11:57] very optimistic schedule. I thought I [00:11:58] didn't think it was, but people said it [00:12:00] was very optimistic. Turns out to be [00:12:02] very pessimistic by compared to what [00:12:05] we've done. But we'll go down as uh the [00:12:09] greatest in history. Greatest first year [00:12:11] in history nobody's ever had. Just based [00:12:12] on the numbers. Based only on the [00:12:14] numbers. Not based on me. Based only on [00:12:16] the numbers. Because you know you get [00:12:19] these guys like the governor of [00:12:21] California likes to say how well he's [00:12:22] doing. California is doing horrendously. [00:12:24] But he says how well. We base it on [00:12:26] numbers. There's never been numbers like [00:12:28] this. Through four long years before I [00:12:31] took office. Crooked Joe Biden and his [00:12:32] allies in Congress inflicted the [00:12:35] economic nightmare known as stagflation. [00:12:39] How many times have you heard the word? [00:12:40] We hit it with Joe. We hit everything. [00:12:43] What a disaster. Meaning low growth and [00:12:46] high inflation. How does that work? Not [00:12:48] good. So you have lousy growth and high [00:12:50] inflation. In fact, it's the lowest [00:12:53] growth growth ever and the worst [00:12:57] inflation in the history of our country. [00:13:00] That is really tantamount to not having [00:13:03] a good four years. Right? In other [00:13:05] words, Sleepy Joe and the people that [00:13:07] ran the autopan were a complete and [00:13:10] total disaster for our nation. They were [00:13:12] a disaster for our nation. Had they won [00:13:15] the election less than one year ago, we [00:13:17] would have been, as I've often said, [00:13:19] Venezuela on steroids. Now, I'm [00:13:21] Venezuela's biggest fan. We're working [00:13:23] with them. But they came down from a [00:13:26] very high number to a disaster, you [00:13:28] know, disaster. and we would have been [00:13:30] Venezuela on steroids. And we're [00:13:33] bringing Venezuela back and we're going [00:13:36] to be great for Venezuela, great for our [00:13:38] country. We're taking in, as I said, [00:13:40] millions and millions of barrels of oil [00:13:44] and now they're coming in initially on a [00:13:47] daily basis 50 million and uh values of [00:13:52] over five billion dollars. That's in one [00:13:54] day. Just think of it. The biggest ships [00:13:57] in the world can take 1 million barrels. [00:13:59] The biggest ships in the world take 1 [00:14:01] million. We have 50 million barrels. We [00:14:04] need 50 of the biggest ships in the [00:14:06] world just to get it out. We're bringing [00:14:07] it in to be refined. It's an incredible [00:14:10] feeling. It's great. Winning is a good [00:14:12] thing. We're going to work with [00:14:14] Venezuela. We'll make that country very [00:14:16] strong again. We'll get oil prices down [00:14:18] even further. We have it down at about a [00:14:21] six-year low, sevenyear low, but we're [00:14:23] going to get it down further. Joe Biden [00:14:25] gave us a colossal stagflation [00:14:27] catastrophe, but my administration's [00:14:30] rapidly and very decisively ended that. [00:14:33] We have quickly achieved the exact [00:14:36] opposite of stagflation, [00:14:38] almost no inflation and super high [00:14:41] growth. So, we have the highest growth [00:14:42] we've ever had. Think of that. The [00:14:45] highest growth we've ever had and we've [00:14:47] only been there 11 months. Think of what [00:14:50] we can do for the rest of it. But I do [00:14:53] we have wood around here. I want to [00:14:55] knock on a little wood. They have one [00:14:57] little Everything's plastic nowadays. [00:14:59] It's very tough. No, we have the [00:15:01] greatest growth and we have, you know, [00:15:03] inflation way down. But we inherited [00:15:06] terrible growth and we inherited the [00:15:08] worst inflation in the history of our [00:15:10] country. The fake news would say 49 [00:15:12] years. So when I say when I say the [00:15:15] history, they give me a lot of time, but [00:15:16] I believe it's the history. But let's [00:15:18] say 49 years. Would you say 49 years is [00:15:20] okay? Right. was pretty bad. What do you [00:15:22] think, Mr. Senator? Mr. Future Senator, [00:15:25] I'd say 49. What sounds worse? 49 years [00:15:27] or history? I think 49 years almost [00:15:30] sounds worse. Maybe I'll just use it and [00:15:32] I won't argue with these people. As of [00:15:34] this morning, core inflation for the [00:15:36] past three months has been just 1.6%. [00:15:39] The numbers we just announced just [00:15:40] before I came on stage. And GDP is [00:15:43] smashing expectations with the fastest [00:15:46] growth for this country in many years. [00:15:49] The fourth quarter is projected at 5.4% [00:15:52] and that's despite the Democrat shutdown [00:15:55] where we lost at least one and a half [00:15:57] points. You know the Democrat shutdown [00:15:59] we would have had close to seven. Think [00:16:01] of that close to seven. They were [00:16:03] projecting to the Fakers were projecting [00:16:06] to. And if we keep deregulating and [00:16:09] adding more capacity like I saw today at [00:16:11] Ford [00:16:13] and if we don't raise interest rates [00:16:15] every time good news is mentioned. You [00:16:18] know, in the old days, I'm probably old. [00:16:20] I used to be up to these lecterns and [00:16:22] I'd say I'm younger than pretty much [00:16:25] everybody in the room. Now I say I'm [00:16:26] older than pretty much everybody in the [00:16:28] room. I like it the other way better, [00:16:30] actually. But you're too young. But in [00:16:32] the old days, when you had good numbers, [00:16:35] interest rates would go down. When you [00:16:37] had good numbers, the market would go [00:16:39] through the roof. That's the way we're [00:16:40] going to make it again. That's the [00:16:42] oldfashioned way. That's the right way. [00:16:44] today. If you announce great numbers, [00:16:46] they raise interest rates to try and [00:16:48] kill it. So, you can never really have [00:16:49] the kind of rally you should have. What [00:16:53] happens and what we want, we're going to [00:16:55] have a lot of great months, a lot of [00:16:56] great quarters. I want the market to go [00:16:58] up. You announce unbelievable numbers [00:17:02] and the market goes down because they [00:17:04] know they're going to you're going to do [00:17:05] everything possible [00:17:07] in the Fed. We have a real stiff in the [00:17:09] Fed, but that's for another day. [00:17:12] But they raise rates. So everyone says, [00:17:15] "Oh, they announced great numbers. It's [00:17:17] great, great, great, and the market goes [00:17:19] down because they immediately raise [00:17:20] rates." No. When the market goes up, [00:17:23] they should lower rates. You want to see [00:17:25] 20% and 25%. You want to see what we can [00:17:29] do? We've got to go back to an old [00:17:30] standard. When there's good news, the [00:17:33] market should go up, not go down. Does [00:17:35] that make sense to everybody? And that's [00:17:36] the way it used to be for most of the [00:17:38] time. That's the way you make a country [00:17:40] great. But our growth potential is [00:17:42] unlimited and could be much higher if we [00:17:45] went back to sanity. We're not doing it [00:17:48] anymore. We're talking about the head of [00:17:50] a Fed of the Fed. And I want somebody [00:17:53] that when the market is doing great, [00:17:55] interest rates can go down because our [00:17:57] country becomes stronger. So you view it [00:17:59] differently. Our country becomes [00:18:00] stronger and therefore interest rates [00:18:02] should go down, not up. They [snorts] [00:18:04] kill every rally. If it's no matter who [00:18:07] it's beyond me as president, it's no [00:18:09] matter who's president. you have a good [00:18:10] quarter and they want to kill it because [00:18:12] you're so petrified of inflation and [00:18:14] growth and inflation don't necessarily [00:18:17] go hand in hand. You can have growth in [00:18:19] very low inflation. In fact, oftentimes [00:18:21] growth is good for low inflation. So, [00:18:24] we're going to work on that, Scott. [00:18:25] Right. I think we're going to work on [00:18:26] that very hard. I I mean it so strongly [00:18:29] I get it's sickening. We announce good [00:18:31] numbers and we see the stock market [00:18:32] drops 300 points. I say, "What the hell [00:18:35] is going on?" It should You agree with [00:18:37] me? It should be just the opposite. All [00:18:39] right, Scott. agree. So, I'm very happy [00:18:40] about this. That means if he didn't [00:18:42] agree, I wouldn't do it. [snorts] [00:18:44] But we're already growing double, [00:18:46] triple, and even quadruple the speed of [00:18:48] almost every other major economy on [00:18:50] earth with the number one economy on [00:18:51] Earth, too. And the results are in. And [00:18:54] the Trump economic boom is officially [00:18:57] begun. It's really begun almost from the [00:18:59] beginning. Almost begun if you look at [00:19:00] it really from November 5th. You know, [00:19:02] on another metric, uh, in just before [00:19:06] the election, it was almost impossible [00:19:08] to get people to join the military. We [00:19:10] had the worst enlistment in the history [00:19:13] of our country. The worst. You couldn't [00:19:16] get people for the Army, the Navy, the [00:19:18] Air Force, the Marines, Space Force, the [00:19:20] Coast Guard. You couldn't get people. [00:19:23] And since right after the election, but [00:19:26] especially since after January 20th when [00:19:28] we took office, we have now the [00:19:30] strongest enlistment we've ever had in [00:19:33] the history of our country. We've never [00:19:34] enlisted people so quickly, so easily. [00:19:37] And we enlist by merit. Now, you know, [00:19:39] we won a Supreme Court case that said [00:19:41] you hire by merit, you go to college now [00:19:44] by merit. Everything's by merit. Our [00:19:46] country became great because of merit. [00:19:50] And we have uh done some job. But think [00:19:53] of it. A year and a half ago, we had the [00:19:55] worst enlistment in history and now we [00:19:58] have the best enlistment. That things [00:20:00] like that don't happen. You might go [00:20:02] from the bad enlistment to okay, but you [00:20:05] don't go from the worst in history to [00:20:08] the best in history. But that's what [00:20:10] we've done every one of them. And that [00:20:12] includes police and firefighters. It was [00:20:15] very hard to get police. It was very [00:20:16] hard to get firefighters. And now [00:20:18] everybody wants those jobs. In four [00:20:20] years of Biden, they secured less than [00:20:22] $1 trillion dollars of new investment in [00:20:24] the United States. So four years less [00:20:27] than1 trillion. In less than one year, I [00:20:31] have secured commitments for over $18 [00:20:34] trillion from all over the world. The [00:20:36] most ever for any country. [00:20:45] Think of that though. They did. And I'll [00:20:48] tell you what, had she won, it would be [00:20:50] a disaster because you were having [00:20:52] people leave. You would have not had one [00:20:54] trillion. You would have had 5 trillion, [00:20:56] 10 trillion leaving the country. And [00:20:58] your welfare would have doubled when you [00:21:01] look at what's going on in Minnesota. Is [00:21:03] that a disgrace? Is that a disgrace? But [00:21:06] we'll talk about that. Under Biden, we [00:21:08] had the highest trade deficit ever [00:21:10] recorded, losing more than1 trillion [00:21:12] dollars every single year. How about [00:21:14] that? It was killing Michigan and [00:21:16] everywhere else in our country. is being [00:21:18] absolutely destroyed. But in a matter of [00:21:20] months, largely because of tariff income [00:21:22] and the election result, we've slashed [00:21:25] that gaping trade deficit by in a short [00:21:29] period of time 62. It just came out 62%. [00:21:33] People are stunned. The fake news back [00:21:35] there, look at those cameras rocking and [00:21:37] rolling. No, the fake news back there is [00:21:40] uh they're very upset about it actually, [00:21:43] but they're stunned. They can't believe [00:21:45] it. We cut it. We cut our trade deficit [00:21:48] in actually 10 months was when the [00:21:51] number came out. We cut it by 62%. It's [00:21:54] going to go better than that now. The [00:21:56] stock market is now the highest in [00:21:58] history since the election. We've set [00:22:00] all of those records. And I think an [00:22:02] all-time record that's so important to [00:22:03] me because so many people have them is [00:22:05] boosting 401ks and retirement accounts [00:22:08] for millions and millions of Americans. [00:22:10] People that are in the police [00:22:11] departments, the fire departments, [00:22:13] people that are construction workers. A [00:22:15] policeman came up to me recently, a nice [00:22:18] guy guarding me. He's a perfect guy to [00:22:20] guard me. He was a massive guy, big [00:22:22] strong guy. He said, "Sir, you made me [00:22:24] look so good in front of my wife. My [00:22:26] wife thought I was a horrible investor [00:22:28] because every time I invested, we lost [00:22:30] money and we have a 401k and I'm up like [00:22:34] 85%. She thinks I'm Warren Buffett. She [00:22:37] thinks I'm brilliant. She's now calling [00:22:39] me brilliant. Makes my life much easier. [00:22:42] I love my wife much more now. She calls [00:22:44] me brilliant every time. I said, "Don't [00:22:46] worry. You're going to do even better [00:22:47] for the next three years." But one of [00:22:49] the biggest reasons for this [00:22:50] unbelievable success has been our [00:22:52] historic use of tariffs. There was the [00:22:55] tariff that made America strong and [00:22:57] powerful in past generations. And then [00:22:59] we got off and we went to the income tax [00:23:01] system. Great Co going fellas. You know, [00:23:04] we were the strongest in 1887, [00:23:06] relatively speaking. That was around the [00:23:08] McKinley time and Teddy Roosevelt and [00:23:12] some others. But we were really strong. [00:23:14] It was all tariffs. And I know what [00:23:16] happened. Some of these countries got [00:23:18] together and they say, "Hey, convince [00:23:19] the United States that it's no good. The [00:23:22] tariff system is unfair to us." And so [00:23:25] some genius, I know who I don't want to [00:23:27] get into it, but some genius said, "Oh, [00:23:30] let's go to an income tax system." So [00:23:32] instead of foreign companies and [00:23:34] countries paying everything, the people [00:23:36] started paying. And then after that you [00:23:39] had a depression but that was a long [00:23:40] time. That was in like 1913 [00:23:44] you had the tariff switched into income [00:23:47] tax and then in 19 and they like to [00:23:49] blame tariffs. You ever notice they [00:23:51] blame tariffs? No, they brought tariffs [00:23:53] back in 1932. [00:23:55] They brought them back to try and save [00:23:57] the sucker. But it was in 1929 because a [00:24:00] lot of people you know the anti-tariff [00:24:01] people. Now, an anti-tariff person is a [00:24:04] pro-Chinese person like Ko. This guy's [00:24:07] fought me in every election I've ever [00:24:09] been in and I've kicked his ass. I don't [00:24:10] I don't He inherited a lot of money and [00:24:13] I don't know the gentleman, but he [00:24:15] fights me. So, and then he goes out and [00:24:17] says, "I made more money with Trump than [00:24:19] I ever made in my life." And then he [00:24:20] supports these other people that were [00:24:21] total losers. Gives him a lot of money, [00:24:24] but he made more money. Everybody makes [00:24:26] money with me. I always made money for [00:24:28] people. Now it's tariffs that are making [00:24:31] money for Michigan and the entire [00:24:33] country is stronger and safer and richer [00:24:36] than ever before outside of that period [00:24:38] of time. Now if they had what was called [00:24:41] the Great Tariff Act of 1887 or [00:24:44] something like that and it was a great [00:24:46] group of people like yourselves. They [00:24:48] picked really smart people to sit on a [00:24:50] committee. They had so much money they [00:24:52] didn't know what to do with it and they [00:24:54] wanted to have the money given away. You [00:24:56] know we built the Panama Canal out of [00:24:58] tariffs. We did a lot of things. Panama [00:24:59] Canal was the single biggest investment, [00:25:02] relatively speaking, that this country's [00:25:04] ever made. Would be the equivalent of [00:25:06] trillions of dollars today. [00:25:08] And Jimmy Carter gave it away for $1. [00:25:11] Was also the most profitable thing ever [00:25:14] built. Thing, in other words, like [00:25:16] buildings or casinos or anything. The [00:25:18] most profitable thing ever built was the [00:25:20] Panama Canal. And brilliantly Jimmy [00:25:23] Carter thought the country of Panama [00:25:25] should have it. Even though we lost [00:25:28] 36,000 people to the mosquito. You know [00:25:30] that, right? To the mosquito and a [00:25:32] certain snake, which was not a very nice [00:25:34] reptile. [00:25:36] This was a brutal reptile. You got bit. [00:25:38] It was over. It was just say bye-bye [00:25:39] everybody. We lost 36,000 people. [00:25:43] Malaria, the mosquito, and the snake. [00:25:47] And uh he gave it away for $1. Well, at [00:25:50] least we got a dollar. That's better [00:25:52] than most of those guys do. We got $1 [00:25:54] for that. Most expensive thing ever [00:25:56] built. Most profitable thing ever built, [00:25:58] too. Makes so much money. Every [00:26:01] prediction the critics made about our [00:26:03] tariff policy has failed to materialize. [00:26:07] The evidence shows overwhelmingly that [00:26:09] the tariffs are not paid by American [00:26:12] consumers, that they're paid by foreign [00:26:15] nations and middlemen. And Scott went [00:26:18] over that with us before. And they're [00:26:20] paid by middlemen. They raise the thing. [00:26:22] Countries get involved. They pay them [00:26:24] because otherwise they won't have [00:26:25] companies. They won't be viable. [00:26:27] And we're the big beneficiary. Once [00:26:29] again, the so-called experts were 100% [00:26:32] wrong and Trump was right. People of [00:26:34] Michigan were 100% right. You elected [00:26:37] the right guy. If you had the uh other [00:26:39] person, everybody, you we wouldn't even [00:26:42] be having a meeting today. Probably [00:26:43] there'd be no meeting. [00:26:46] The economic club would be saying like, [00:26:48] "Man, we're doing bad. It's going to be [00:26:50] awfully tough to get people to show up. [00:26:53] This is going to be tough." The [00:26:54] chairman, "This is going to not be a [00:26:56] good day for us. We don't want to have [00:26:58] Let's cancel the meeting immediately." [00:27:01] The Trump tariffs have delivered us [00:27:03] trillions of dollars of new investment, [00:27:05] unprecedented new partnerships on [00:27:08] minerals, rare earth defense, and [00:27:10] artificial intelligence, and historic [00:27:12] levels of foreign military sales. You [00:27:14] know, you have the Supreme Court now [00:27:16] going to rule on whether or not we can [00:27:17] use tariffs. Can you believe this? [00:27:19] Brought a case brought about by people [00:27:22] that are China centric, foreign centric, [00:27:25] but Chinaentric. I wouldn't want it if I [00:27:27] was China either. You know, China's our [00:27:31] one of our biggest [00:27:33] taxpayers right now. China, would you [00:27:35] ever believe you'd hear that? And [00:27:37] they've been great. My relationship with [00:27:40] President Xi has been great. But we have [00:27:42] a group that's foreign. Chinaentric [00:27:45] suing [00:27:46] and we'll figure something out if we [00:27:49] don't win. But we should win. I mean, we [00:27:50] should win. So great for national [00:27:52] security. I ended eight wars. Think of [00:27:55] that. Eight wars. And without trade and [00:27:58] tariffs, you wouldn't have been able to [00:28:00] [snorts] end any of them. But they [00:28:02] brought hundreds of billions of dollars [00:28:04] pouring into the United States Treasury, [00:28:06] helped curb inflation, and helped cut [00:28:08] the federal budget deficit by a [00:28:11] staggering 27%. And that's only for a [00:28:15] short period of time. The numbers much [00:28:16] bigger than that when you add in the [00:28:18] full year. And I told people I got into [00:28:21] a lot of trouble because of the fake [00:28:22] news back there. I told people I said [00:28:25] tariff is my favorite word. I said my [00:28:28] favorite word of every word is tariff. [00:28:31] I've loved it for 40 years. I came here [00:28:32] many years ago. Remember they said I [00:28:35] didn't come here. Then they found out I [00:28:36] did. I got an award in Detroit many in [00:28:40] Michigan many years ago. and still have [00:28:43] it. They said it never happened. It did [00:28:45] happen. Turned out I didn't notice any [00:28:48] uh apology, but all I did was talk about [00:28:50] you're losing your car industry. This [00:28:52] was long before I ran for politics. They [00:28:54] said you're losing I said why are you [00:28:56] allowing these foreign nations to take [00:28:58] your car? You know, you lost 57% of your [00:29:01] car industry. The good news is you're [00:29:02] getting it back. But I said, why aren't [00:29:04] you using tariffs? I've been very [00:29:06] consistent. I will tell you that for [00:29:08] years and years even as a private [00:29:09] businessman for years I used to because [00:29:11] I get for whatever reason a lot of [00:29:13] publicity always I don't know if that's [00:29:15] good or bad but it happens and I talk [00:29:17] about the importance but I I said [00:29:19] recently I said tariff is my favorite [00:29:22] word in the whole dictionary. There's no [00:29:24] word and I took a lot of heat. They said [00:29:27] what about your wife your children? What [00:29:29] about religion and God? What about [00:29:32] Jesus? So I said, "All [snorts] right, [00:29:36] it's my fifth favorite word." And since [00:29:38] then, I've been fine. They hit me hard. [00:29:41] These people, these fake news, they were [00:29:43] killing me over terror. He likes tariff [00:29:45] more than his wife, more than religion. [00:29:48] He likes tariff more than anything. What [00:29:50] a disgrace. So I I now call it number [00:29:52] five. And I'm in good shape. That was a [00:29:55] rough day. It's my favorite word. My [00:29:58] favorite word. And I got killed. [00:30:02] every word. You know, when you go up [00:30:04] here, you take a big chance, especially [00:30:05] me because I go off teleprompter about [00:30:07] 80% of the time. [00:30:10] >> But isn't it nice to have a president [00:30:12] that can go off teleprompter, [00:30:15] don't you think? [00:30:20] Remember the the speeches Joe would [00:30:21] make? First of all, they'd last a matter [00:30:23] of seconds, you know. Thank you very [00:30:25] much. You ever noticed Joe would always [00:30:28] cough before a speech? State of the [00:30:29] Union gets [00:30:38] ladies and gentlemen. And then it would [00:30:41] be like very short. Although the one [00:30:43] time they had him spruced up pretty [00:30:44] good. Remember he was high as a kite. [00:30:48] He was floating. He was up there way up. [00:30:51] He didn't. That was a bad speech. [00:30:54] But uh hey, he got through it, you know. [00:30:57] He got through it. if you call it [00:30:58] getting through out of this country was [00:31:01] so can you imagine allowing 25 million [00:31:03] people into our country many of them [00:31:04] criminals many of them murderers [00:31:07] what he did to this country what they [00:31:09] did because it was the people [00:31:10] surrounding that beautiful Resolute desk [00:31:14] but just as I promised you that I've [00:31:16] imposed a 25% tariff on all foreign [00:31:18] automobiles I'm standing up for the [00:31:21] American auto worker like no president [00:31:23] has ever stood up before you know those [00:31:26] tariffs are keeping [00:31:28] the foreign auto workers. Now, if they [00:31:29] want to come in and build the plant and [00:31:31] hire you and hire your friends and your [00:31:33] neighbors, that's great. I love that. [00:31:34] Let China come in. Let Japan come in. [00:31:37] They are. And they'll be building [00:31:38] plants, but they're using our labor. US [00:31:41] auto factories are now seeing more than [00:31:44] $70 billion of new investment. Think of [00:31:46] that. They were leaving. They were all [00:31:48] going they were going in the opposite [00:31:50] direction. Now they're pouring back. [00:31:51] It's the greatest. Nobody's ever seen [00:31:52] anything like it. And much of that money [00:31:55] is coming right here to the car making [00:31:58] capital of the world, Detroit. You lost, [00:32:00] I mean, so many so many places. [00:32:07] Since I took office, Ford has announced [00:32:09] it will invest $5 billion across its [00:32:12] Michigan and Kentucky plants, creating [00:32:14] 4,000 new jobs. GM is moving production [00:32:17] of the Chevy Blazer and Equinox from [00:32:20] Mexico right back here to America. [00:32:23] Right. [00:32:28] Is my favorite auto worker here by any [00:32:30] chance? You know who I'm talking. What [00:32:32] happens? Where's Brian? [00:32:34] >> Brian? Oh, I see. He made some cash. [00:32:37] He's have to Oh, he's been very disloyal [00:32:39] to Detroit. We're going to have to He is [00:32:41] such a great guy, right? And that guy [00:32:43] fought for me when it wasn't the popular [00:32:46] thing to do. He fought for me from day [00:32:49] one. Well, you'll tell him I said hello [00:32:50] to him. All right. That guy, he got it [00:32:53] four years ago. He got it right at the [00:32:55] beginning. He understood it better than [00:32:57] anybody, better than the great [00:32:59] economist. They had no clue. And [00:33:02] Stalantis is investing 13 billion [00:33:04] dollars to expand its US-based [00:33:06] manufacturing plant by more than 50%. [00:33:10] Stalantis doing a good job. Never before [00:33:13] has an administration achieved such [00:33:15] sweeping and dramatic turnarounds as has [00:33:19] taken place just in this very short [00:33:20] period of time. I mean, you're talking [00:33:22] about 11 months. 11 months and you have [00:33:24] a different business. 11 months and [00:33:26] you're you're booming. I just spoke to [00:33:28] an AI guy and that's booming, too. You [00:33:30] know, we're leading China in AI by a [00:33:32] lot. I'm letting them build their own [00:33:34] electric plants because people are [00:33:36] saying, you know, the amount of [00:33:38] electricity they need is they need twice [00:33:40] as much as electricity currently in the [00:33:43] United States for every other business, [00:33:46] home, factory, they need double. So I [00:33:49] said, we can't do that. And then I had [00:33:51] the idea when they build these 50 [00:33:53] billion dollar plants, I'm going to let [00:33:55] them build and they're already building [00:33:58] big electric plants. Take care of their [00:34:00] plant and any excess electricity they'll [00:34:03] sell it back to our country. It's an [00:34:06] unbelievable. Therefore, we're going to [00:34:09] build I think if they really add it, you [00:34:10] know, you hear how much and I have great [00:34:12] respect for China, but you hear they're [00:34:13] building a lot of electricity, but we [00:34:15] are too, but we're having it built [00:34:17] privately. They're going to own their [00:34:18] own electric. They're sort of they're [00:34:20] becoming their own electricity producer. [00:34:23] And when they heard this idea, they [00:34:26] thought it was great, but they didn't [00:34:27] take it seriously because they said it's [00:34:28] too good to be true. But then they [00:34:30] realized that I was serious. They were [00:34:32] getting them two and three week [00:34:34] approvals. They don't have to wait for [00:34:37] 20 years before they get rejected. You [00:34:39] know, in the old days, they had to wait [00:34:40] for 20 years and then they get rejected [00:34:43] at the end of 20 years. These guys would [00:34:44] give up their whole career trying to get [00:34:46] one approval and then they get rejected. [00:34:48] In every aspect of our agenda, we're [00:34:50] putting America first and nothing will [00:34:52] stand in our way. Nothing's going to [00:34:54] stand in our way. Nothing. [00:34:59] So, one of our top priorities in this [00:35:01] mission is promoting greater [00:35:04] affordability. Now, that's a word used [00:35:06] by the Democrats. They're the ones that [00:35:08] cause the problem. The one thing they [00:35:10] stick together. [00:35:13] They don't have some of the people that [00:35:15] we have. I don't know. It's a genetic [00:35:16] thing. It's something in the blood. We [00:35:19] got some real losers. We mostly great, [00:35:22] but I wouldn't use the name Romney [00:35:24] because I'm in his sort of territory, [00:35:26] but so I would never use that name, but [00:35:29] all right, I'll use it. [00:35:31] They don't have a Mitt Romney that votes [00:35:33] against everything. They don't have a [00:35:35] Rand Paul that votes against every [00:35:37] everything. I got him elected twice. He [00:35:39] was stone cold loser. I went to Kentucky [00:35:43] where I won by a lot. I did a rally for [00:35:46] him. Then I did another rally. He won. [00:35:49] Then I went the second time he won. Then [00:35:51] he votes against all the time. It's just [00:35:53] crazy. I don't get it. And you have Lisa [00:35:55] Macowski and you have Susan Collins. [00:35:57] Disasters. And uh you had a gentleman [00:36:02] from Indiana that I don't believe it. [00:36:03] Todd Young, he voted against. And you [00:36:06] say, "Why are you voting against?" They [00:36:08] can't give you an answer. They're unable [00:36:09] to give you an answer. It's like why are [00:36:12] they against the attack on Venezuela? [00:36:14] They're against the attack after they [00:36:15] found out it was the most successful [00:36:17] attack probably the most talented most [00:36:20] brilliant tactically attack that we've [00:36:22] had maybe in a hundred years and they're [00:36:26] against it. Why? It's one thing if the [00:36:28] attack failed I'd probably do that too [00:36:30] or change I'd be in favor of then if it [00:36:32] failed I'd say I TOLD THEM NOT TO do it. [00:36:35] That's what they do. But here we have [00:36:37] one of the most successful attacks ever [00:36:39] and they find a way to be against it. [00:36:41] It's pretty amazing. But it's and it's a [00:36:44] shame. And we have some others, but not [00:36:45] many. We have a great party, but we have [00:36:48] people, the Democrats, whether you like [00:36:50] them or not, they stick together like [00:36:52] glue. They have horrible policy. Thank [00:36:54] God they have horrible policy because [00:36:57] they're smart, they're evil, they're [00:37:00] vicious, [00:37:01] but they have bad policy. For instance, [00:37:04] you could be a genius and try selling [00:37:07] men playing in women's sport. You could [00:37:09] be a genius, try selling transgender for [00:37:13] everybody. [00:37:14] Open borders. Let the world come in. Let [00:37:18] the world's prison population come into [00:37:20] the United States, including all of the [00:37:22] murders, 11,888. [00:37:24] That's what we're trying to get out of [00:37:26] Chicago and Minnesota and these places. [00:37:29] So they stick together, which I admire [00:37:31] because I'm a very loyal person, but [00:37:34] they have horrible policy. Can you [00:37:36] imagine if they had good policy? They [00:37:38] were on this morning talking all the [00:37:40] reasons that men should be playing in [00:37:41] women's sports. They had a football guy [00:37:43] there, flag football. This guy was like [00:37:46] 66. He weighed 290 pounds with zero body [00:37:52] fat. And they had a few young women. [00:37:56] They were the size of his leg. [00:37:58] He wouldn't have had to run. He could [00:38:00] have just walked. They couldn't have [00:38:01] done a thing about it. 10 of them would [00:38:02] have to jump on him. That wouldn't have [00:38:04] had any impact. I don't think he would [00:38:05] have been like a fly. It's so [00:38:08] ridiculous. It's so demeaning to women. [00:38:10] It's so demeaning. Look at the [00:38:12] weightlifting records. I mean, the [00:38:14] record got beaten by 112 pounds. A [00:38:16] record that stood for 18 years. One [00:38:19] ounce they put on stood for 18 years. [00:38:23] Guy comes along who was a poor lifter as [00:38:25] a man. He was at the lower portion of [00:38:28] the class comes along who broke the [00:38:30] record by 112 pounds. Think of that. [00:38:33] They've fought for years to to beat that [00:38:36] record. How about the swimming records? [00:38:38] I mean, you can go to sleep [00:38:41] during the time the man comes in and the [00:38:44] woman. You can go take a nap for a [00:38:45] little while. How about the long [00:38:47] distance race that took place not so [00:38:49] long ago? Long, long distance, these [00:38:51] marathon deals. They had top men, top [00:38:54] women. The man came in. The woman came [00:38:56] in 5 hours and 14 minutes and 36 seconds [00:39:00] behind the man. Think of it. You're [00:39:03] waiting. The man comes in. Now you're [00:39:05] waiting five hours. What do you do if [00:39:06] you're the parents? You go home and [00:39:07] sleep for a while. Who the hell wants [00:39:11] that? [00:39:12] It's so demeaning to women and who are [00:39:14] great athletes. It's so demeaning to [00:39:16] them. And it's right now in the Supreme [00:39:17] Court. I can't believe it would even go [00:39:19] to the Supreme Court. [00:39:21] I mean, could you imagine 20 years ago [00:39:22] talking about men playing in women's [00:39:24] sports? They think you're crazy. Or [00:39:26] transgender for everybody. [00:39:28] If you said there will be no mutilation [00:39:32] on children, that's one of my standard [00:39:34] lines. We will not allow the mutilation [00:39:36] of a child. Can you imagine having to [00:39:40] say that 15 years ago? People would say, [00:39:42] "Is that guy crazy?" Of course, we [00:39:44] won't. But we're living in a different [00:39:46] time. I mean, it's a crazy time we live [00:39:48] in. After real wages plummeted by $3,000 [00:39:51] under Sleepy Joe Biden, real wages are [00:39:54] up by $1,300 in less than one year under [00:39:58] President Trump. For construction [00:40:00] workers, wages are up $1,800. Don't [00:40:03] forget, they were down 3,000. Factory [00:40:06] workers, over $2,000. And for many other [00:40:09] workers, over $5,000. [00:40:12] And I just gave the military because [00:40:14] we're doing so well with taking in so [00:40:16] much money with the tariffs. I just gave [00:40:18] them [00:40:20] 1776. [00:40:21] You saw that, right? [00:40:23] Did you see that? They had 75. And I [00:40:26] said, you know, if you had one more [00:40:27] dollar, 1776. They said that was a good [00:40:30] idea. We could afford one more dollar. [00:40:33] We gave him 1776. [00:40:35] Meanwhile, grocery prices are starting [00:40:38] to go rapidly down. Rent is down. [00:40:40] Airfares are down. Hotel rates are down, [00:40:42] cell phone prices are down, and we're [00:40:45] just getting started. But more [00:40:47] importantly than going down, our growth [00:40:49] is through the roof. It's way up. Among [00:40:52] my first acts in office was to end the [00:40:55] radical left war on oil and gas and stop [00:40:57] the crusade to kill American energy. And [00:41:00] frankly, to open up cars so that you [00:41:02] don't have to have an electric car. I [00:41:03] love electric cars. I think they're [00:41:05] great. I like Elon a lot. I I don't [00:41:07] think he was too happy with my policy of [00:41:09] opening it up. But and I can understand [00:41:12] that. But I've been saying it for four [00:41:14] years. They wanted everybody to have an [00:41:16] electric car in a very short period of [00:41:18] time. There was no way to build the [00:41:19] stations. There was no way to get it [00:41:21] done. I want you to have gasoline [00:41:23] powered cars. I want you to have [00:41:25] electric. I want you to have hybrids. I [00:41:27] want you to have everything. Hydrogen I [00:41:29] don't know about. I'm hearing it's not [00:41:30] testing so well. It's fine except when [00:41:33] there's an explosion, you're a gunner. [00:41:36] Now, have you heard that with hydrogen? [00:41:38] One guy is trying to sell hydrogen and I [00:41:40] say, "Yeah, but sir, that only happens [00:41:42] one in a hundred." Oh, great. [00:41:45] When it happens, they find the body like [00:41:47] 300 yards down the road. So, I said, [00:41:50] "I'll pass on hydrogen. Maybe there's [00:41:52] something I don't know about, but is [00:41:53] anybody in the hydrogen car business?" [00:41:56] Gasoline is now under $2.50 a gallon in [00:42:00] 17 states and under $2 in many places. [00:42:03] We have some states it's 195 199 197 as [00:42:09] we speak these are gas stations and [00:42:12] think of that we have gas stations in [00:42:14] the Detroit area where you can fill up [00:42:16] for less than $2.30 a gallon whereas two [00:42:19] years ago it was $4.50 and in many [00:42:22] places it was way over $5. Think of that [00:42:25] $2.30. You see it that's like a massive [00:42:28] tax cut which we gave you under the [00:42:31] great big beautiful bill by the way. No [00:42:33] tax on tips, no tax on social security, [00:42:36] no tax on overtime. [00:42:38] And with our extremely successful [00:42:40] operation in Venezuela earlier this [00:42:42] month, that number soon is going to go [00:42:43] lower because we're going to have a lot [00:42:44] more energy. We're going to a lot more. [00:42:46] As opposed to a country that's going to [00:42:47] be totally shut down, no fuel, no [00:42:50] gasoline, and it's, you know, they say [00:42:52] it's got more than Saudi Arabia. Who [00:42:54] knows? Got a lot. And by the way, to all [00:42:58] Iranian patriots, keep protesting. take [00:43:02] over your institutions if possible and [00:43:06] save the name of the killers and the [00:43:07] abusers that are abusing you. You're [00:43:10] being very badly abused. If the numbers [00:43:12] are right now, I hear five different [00:43:14] sets of numbers. I hear numbers, look, [00:43:16] one death is too much, but I hear much [00:43:19] lower numbers and then I hear much [00:43:20] higher numbers, but I say save their [00:43:24] names because they'll pay a very big [00:43:25] price. And I've canled all meetings with [00:43:28] the Iranian officials until the [00:43:30] senseless killing of protesters stops. [00:43:34] And all I say to them is help is on its [00:43:35] way. You saw that I put tariffs on [00:43:37] anybody doing business with Iran just [00:43:40] went into effect today. [00:43:42] And uh I say make Iran great again. You [00:43:45] know, it was a great country until these [00:43:47] monsters came in and took it over. [00:43:50] And it's all very fragile. It would have [00:43:52] happened to us. I'm telling you, if I [00:43:54] didn't win this election, would have [00:43:55] happened to us. In the coming weeks, I [00:43:58] will be laying out even more plans to [00:44:00] help bring back affordability. And [00:44:02] again, remember that's a fake word by [00:44:04] Democrats. Prices were too high. They [00:44:07] caused the high price. They never want [00:44:09] to talk about affordability. They always [00:44:11] go, "This is an election about [00:44:13] affordability." [00:44:15] They say, "They caused it." But they're [00:44:17] good at that stuff. They're good at that [00:44:19] stuff. They're fake and they're good at [00:44:22] that stuff. It's an election about high [00:44:25] prices that was caused by the Democrats [00:44:27] and that I brought down a lot. And [00:44:29] remember, when I bring when you see [00:44:31] energy coming down like I brought it [00:44:32] down and gasoline coming down, that [00:44:35] brings everything else down. It's so [00:44:36] much bigger than any other factor. When [00:44:38] gasoline gets to be 199 [00:44:41] a gallon, everything comes down. The [00:44:44] donuts come down, the truck that [00:44:46] delivers the donuts, the stove that [00:44:47] makes the donuts, the whole thing, it [00:44:49] all comes down. And it's coming down [00:44:51] much faster than anybody can even [00:44:53] believe. And remember though, I always [00:44:55] say because you know, normally when that [00:44:57] goes down, the world comes down. That's [00:44:59] the bad way of bringing it down. Our [00:45:00] growth is through the roof. So I always [00:45:03] want to say that whenever I say prices [00:45:05] are coming down, but our growth is going [00:45:07] way up. Two beautiful events, the exact [00:45:09] opposite of the Biden administration. [00:45:12] As part of those efforts at Davos next [00:45:15] week, I'm going to provide much more [00:45:18] detail about our housing policies so [00:45:20] that every American who wants to own a [00:45:22] home will be able to afford one. We have [00:45:25] some great things happening with [00:45:26] housing. As you know, you saw the $200 [00:45:28] billion buy in on bonds and mortgages. [00:45:32] This will include a ban on large [00:45:33] institutional investors buying up single [00:45:36] family homes all over the country and [00:45:37] making it impossible for people to buy a [00:45:39] home. [00:45:43] And I've also announced that the US [00:45:45] government is purchasing $200 billion of [00:45:47] mortgage bonds to bring down mortgage [00:45:49] rates. And it's had a huge impact. It's [00:45:51] already started. And just last week, the [00:45:53] average 30-year mortgage drop below 6% [00:45:56] for the first time in many years. It's [00:45:58] coming down very rapidly, and that's not [00:46:00] with the help of the Fed. If I had the [00:46:02] help of the Fed, it would be easier, but [00:46:06] that jerk will be gone soon. [00:46:09] In addition, I proudly called for the [00:46:10] credit card companies to cap interest [00:46:12] rates at 10% for one year because [00:46:15] they're getting 28 and 30% and 32%. [00:46:20] And it's unfair. The rates are way too [00:46:23] high to provide further relief to [00:46:25] hardworking Americans will also be [00:46:27] confronting one of the biggest factors [00:46:29] in driving up prices, the monstrosity [00:46:32] known as the unaffordable care act. You [00:46:34] know what that is, right? It's [00:46:36] Obamacare. It's a great name. [00:46:38] Unaffordable Care Act. Nope. Did anybody [00:46:40] ever think of that one before? It's [00:46:41] true. It's the unaffordable care act. [00:46:43] Obamacare was a gift to make health [00:46:46] insurance companies rich at the expense [00:46:48] of the American people. In particular, [00:46:50] the so-called enhanced premium tax [00:46:52] credits were a corrupt payoff to the [00:46:54] insurers whose stock prices went up more [00:46:57] than 1,000% after Obamacare was signed. [00:47:01] I want the same money go I want it to go [00:47:03] directly, very simple. I want the money, [00:47:06] those big amounts of money paid for by [00:47:08] the government to go directly to the [00:47:09] people so they can buy the health care [00:47:12] that's right for them. They can [00:47:13] negotiate their own deal, healthcare [00:47:15] savings account, but they'll buy their [00:47:18] own healthcare and everybody loves it. [00:47:20] That's why later this week, I'll [00:47:22] announce our healthcare affordability [00:47:24] framework that will reduce premiums for [00:47:26] millions of lower drug prices, [00:47:29] delivering price transparency and demand [00:47:32] honesty and accountability from [00:47:33] insurance companies all over the [00:47:35] country, all over the world. Actually, [00:47:38] health care costs will come down very [00:47:40] fast with my most favored nation [00:47:43] executive order. We're doing most [00:47:44] favored nation drug prices. When we [00:47:47] would have drug prices stay the same, [00:47:49] everybody thought it was great. They're [00:47:50] going to be coming down thousands of [00:47:53] percents. We're standing up to special [00:47:55] interests and slashing prescription drug [00:47:57] prices by 300, 400, 500, and even 600% [00:48:02] and more. [00:48:04] I mean, think of that. On that alone, we [00:48:08] should win the midterms in a landslide. [00:48:10] I'm doing favored nations. the country [00:48:12] that pays the lowest price in the world [00:48:14] is the price that we're going to pay. [00:48:16] And we got that because of tariffs [00:48:18] because I said to the countries, they [00:48:20] wouldn't approve it. The drug companies [00:48:21] were tough, but they were fine. But they [00:48:24] said the countries will never do it [00:48:25] because you have a pill that sells for [00:48:28] $10, you have to sell it for 20 or 30. [00:48:30] So you'd have to double or triple the [00:48:32] price of their health care there for [00:48:34] prescription drugs. Ours would come down [00:48:36] from $130 to 20. Theirs would go from 10 [00:48:40] to 20. the world being a bigger place [00:48:43] and uh it was unbelievable. But the [00:48:45] countries wouldn't do it. So I called [00:48:46] the countries. I said, "If you don't do [00:48:48] it, then I'm going to put a tariff in [00:48:49] you and the tariff's going to be 20 [00:48:52] times more than the cost that you're [00:48:55] having to pay for fair healthcare." And [00:48:58] every one of them said, "Sir, we agree [00:48:59] with you 100%. We would be honored to do [00:49:01] it." It was really rather amazing. We [00:49:03] could never do it. So think of that. [00:49:05] your most favorite drug prices. Your [00:49:07] drug prices are going to go down like [00:49:09] from a $100 to $10. Nobody can believe [00:49:13] it. [00:49:17] And we can't get the fake news to write [00:49:19] about it. It's the biggest thing to [00:49:20] happen in medicine. It's the biggest [00:49:22] thing to happen in healthcare. And I [00:49:25] cannot get the New York Time I cannot [00:49:27] get anybody to write about it. When we [00:49:30] got it done and we announced it, it was [00:49:32] on a page way in the back of the New [00:49:34] York Times. [00:49:35] Same with others. They don't want to [00:49:37] talk about it. You know why? Because [00:49:38] it's so good. It's the biggest thing to [00:49:41] happen. Over the past 12 months, almost [00:49:44] every promise I made to you right here [00:49:46] in 2024 [00:49:48] has been kept. I've kept all my promises [00:49:51] and much more. I mean, I've given you [00:49:52] much more than I I gave you promises and [00:49:54] I produced much more than I said I was [00:49:56] going to produce. I gave you the largest [00:49:58] tax cuts in American history, cutting [00:50:02] taxes across the board in the great big [00:50:05] beautiful bill. And as I told you, I [00:50:08] mean, who would have gotten you uh no [00:50:10] tax on tips, as I said before, no tax, I [00:50:13] say over and over again, no tax on [00:50:15] overtime, no tax on social security for [00:50:18] our seniors. Any senior should be voting [00:50:20] for us because the Democrats won't do [00:50:22] this. Doesn't work for them. We also [00:50:25] made interest on car loans fully [00:50:27] taxdeductible [00:50:29] so that when you go out and buy a car, [00:50:30] if you have a, you know, a mortgage or [00:50:32] you get a loan on a car, you're allowed [00:50:33] to deduct interest for the first time [00:50:35] ever. That's never happened before. But [00:50:37] only for cars that are stamped with the [00:50:40] beautiful words made in the USA. In [00:50:42] other words, we're only letting that [00:50:44] take place if the car is made like in [00:50:46] Detroit or in the USA. Our tax cuts also [00:50:50] provided 100% bonus depreciation on all [00:50:54] new equipment and capital investments. [00:50:56] Meaning that for any manufacturer [00:50:58] looking to bring production back to [00:51:00] America, you can write it all off, [00:51:03] everything. Not in 38 years, not in 44 [00:51:06] years, in one year. You write the whole [00:51:08] thing off in one year. That's the [00:51:10] biggest thing. [00:51:12] I think that's the biggest thing. That's [00:51:14] the big job producer. And I've cut an [00:51:17] unprecedented number of burdensome [00:51:19] regulations. We're number one in the [00:51:21] history of our country in cutting [00:51:22] regulations. I promise to cut 10 old [00:51:25] regulations for every one new [00:51:27] regulation. So if we put on a [00:51:28] regulation, the only way I'll allow it [00:51:31] to happen is if the secretary, like [00:51:33] Scott Bessant, cuts 10 old regulations. [00:51:36] But instead, last year we actually cut [00:51:39] 129 regulations for everyone that we put [00:51:42] in. Think of that. So, nobody's ever cut [00:51:44] regulations like I have. I terminated [00:51:47] the insane electric vehicle mandate and [00:51:49] ended the war on internal combustion [00:51:52] engines. Once and for all, those engines [00:51:55] were gone. And some people like them. [00:51:57] And if they like them, great. And if [00:51:59] they like electric, if they like any [00:52:02] form of propulsion, propel, any way you [00:52:06] want to propel your car is okay, except [00:52:08] for a couple of them, as I discussed. I [00:52:09] permanently stopped Joe Biden's [00:52:12] ridiculous cafe standards. You know what [00:52:14] the cafe standards are? They're [00:52:15] standards that make it impossible for [00:52:17] you to build a car affordably. They make [00:52:20] it impossible for a car to really work [00:52:23] right. The cafe standards sound so nice. [00:52:26] The cafe standards, it's environmental [00:52:28] standards that are impossible to meet. [00:52:30] And we're cancelling the EPA's absurd [00:52:32] tailpipe emission standard, one of the [00:52:34] worst ever. And I revoked the California [00:52:37] emissions waiver to stop San Francisco [00:52:39] communists from regulating automobiles [00:52:41] all over our nation, all over our world. [00:52:44] Why have I let I have done so much for [00:52:46] the car industry? It's crazy. Nobody [00:52:48] thought Nobody thought it was possible [00:52:50] to do this. And that's why your industry [00:52:53] and not everybody's in the car industry [00:52:55] in this. How many people are in the car [00:52:57] industry in this room in one way or [00:52:59] another? That's a lot relatively. [00:53:04] Another urgent priority for bringing [00:53:06] down the cost of living is to stop the [00:53:08] colossal fraud that is bleeding American [00:53:10] taxpayers absolutely dry. The fraud [00:53:14] being committed by the Somali population [00:53:16] in Minnesota. Have you heard of them? [00:53:18] They're lovely people. [00:53:21] Is monumental and California, Illinois, [00:53:24] New York, and others are just as bad. [00:53:27] Our country has been losing over a half [00:53:29] a trillion dollars to fraud every single [00:53:31] year. But those days are over. We have [00:53:32] the best group you've ever seen [00:53:34] assembled going after fraud. In [00:53:36] Minnesota, we're cracking down on the [00:53:38] Somali scams, ending the brazen and [00:53:41] shameless theft of taxpayer dollars. [00:53:47] Well, it's going on in Maine, too, with [00:53:48] Somali, [00:53:50] you know, and they don't take our ships [00:53:52] anymore. You know why? We hit them with [00:53:54] the same missile that we used to hit the [00:53:57] drug dealers coming in with the boats. [00:53:58] You know, we have drugs coming in by [00:54:01] sea. [00:54:02] down 97%. [00:54:05] You've seen that. [00:54:09] And we're trying very fine. We're really [00:54:11] trying hard to find out who the hell is [00:54:13] the other 3%. But we have them down 97%. [00:54:18] And we're going to start hitting them by [00:54:19] land, too. The hard part is done with by [00:54:22] sea. Nobody's coming. Hasn't been great [00:54:25] for the fishing industry. However, those [00:54:27] that have a fishing boat, they're having [00:54:30] a hard time getting customers, but can't [00:54:32] you can't have everything. Nobody wants [00:54:34] to go on boats, nobody wants to go like [00:54:37] 25 miles an hour. When you see a boat [00:54:39] with five engines on the back of it [00:54:41] going 65 miles an hour and it's loaded [00:54:44] up with hundreds of bags that you see [00:54:45] cellophane with white, typically it's [00:54:48] not fishing. [00:54:50] How about the couple of submarines we [00:54:52] took down? [00:54:53] We we took out two submarines and the [00:54:56] Democrats say they were fishing. No, [00:54:59] they were submarines. They were actually [00:55:00] They build a very fast. It's a drug [00:55:03] carrying submarine. They have a lot of [00:55:05] money. And we took them out. And the [00:55:07] Democrats claimed that they were [00:55:08] fishing. We shouldn't ruin people's [00:55:10] beautiful fishing journey. It's [00:55:13] unbelievable what we have to go through. [00:55:16] It's really a shame. Actually, we've [00:55:18] frozen all children's payments to those [00:55:20] states that we're talking about, and we [00:55:23] will now require proof of attendance in [00:55:25] order to receive federal funding for [00:55:28] child care or any of that. How about all [00:55:29] these child care places in Minnesota [00:55:31] where there is no children? They go [00:55:33] there, they get paid millions and [00:55:36] millions of dollars. The biggest [00:55:39] operation in all of Minnesota had no [00:55:41] children. And we pay millions of [00:55:43] dollars. They're scammers. They're [00:55:45] scammers. They always will be and we're [00:55:48] getting them out and we're not going to [00:55:49] pay them. We're not going to pay [00:55:50] Minnesota. Right, Scott? We're not [00:55:51] paying Minnesota any more money for that [00:55:54] any of that crap. It's a big scam. It's [00:55:56] a giant scam run by an incompetent [00:55:59] crooked governor. He's an incompetent [00:56:01] crooked guy. And also, we're freezing [00:56:03] any and all welfare payments going to [00:56:05] illegal immigrants that will start [00:56:07] effective immediately. So when illegals [00:56:09] come into California, Gavin Nuskum, uh [00:56:13] they come into they come into California [00:56:16] and they send us bills for people coming [00:56:18] in. We're not paying it. So we're [00:56:20] working on that very strongly. Just [00:56:21] don't pay it. As Nancy Reagan would say, [00:56:25] just say no. You remember Nancy Reagan? [00:56:28] Just say no to drugs. It's a little more [00:56:30] difficult than that, I guess, right? [00:56:32] Just say no. Additionally, from this [00:56:35] moment forward, if you're on public [00:56:37] assistance, like almost all Somali are, [00:56:39] did you see where 94% of them are in [00:56:41] public assistance, you can't wire money [00:56:44] out of the country back to your bank [00:56:46] account from where you came? But more [00:56:48] importantly, we're probably aren't even [00:56:50] going to give them the money anymore. [00:56:53] The money going to because of the [00:56:55] tremendous abuse and probably illegality [00:56:59] being perpetrated on our country, we're [00:57:01] not going to give them the money. We're [00:57:02] not giving them the money. These massive [00:57:05] numbers of people are scamming our [00:57:07] country. [00:57:09] You know, they came from a place with [00:57:11] nothing and they come here and they [00:57:14] drive around in Mercedes-Benz. You know, [00:57:15] the Mercedes-Benz dealers do well in [00:57:18] that area of Minnesota. Can you believe [00:57:19] it? They they have nothing. They get [00:57:21] welfare payments and they have [00:57:22] Mercedes-Benzes. [00:57:24] It angers me so much, but we're going to [00:57:26] straighten out our country. This was [00:57:27] done under Biden and Obama. very much [00:57:31] under Obama. It all started under Obama [00:57:34] and we just can't. We We've got a great [00:57:36] country. We're not going to screw it up. [00:57:38] But this was one of the great scams [00:57:39] ever. They have the same thing. Somali [00:57:41] and Maine. Who would think? I never saw [00:57:44] I never saw that happening. But in [00:57:45] Maine, it's really crooked as hell, too. [00:57:48] But it's not just Somali. It is them. [00:57:51] But it's not just. There are many other [00:57:53] places, many other people. The whole [00:57:55] country. If we stop this fraud, this [00:57:58] massive fraud, we're gonna have a [00:58:00] balanced budget. That's how much money [00:58:01] you're talking. We'll have a balanced [00:58:03] budget without all the growth I'm [00:58:05] talking about. And then you add the [00:58:06] growth, we got one hell of a country. [00:58:09] We're giving 90-day notices to places [00:58:11] like California, Scott, right away. [00:58:13] We're going to send out that notice. [00:58:16] Who would build the federal government [00:58:17] as people poured into the state to send [00:58:20] those people back because no country can [00:58:22] afford to do it. No country can afford [00:58:23] to take in millions of people, pay for [00:58:26] their education, their health care, [00:58:30] their hospitals. You just can't do it. [00:58:33] And we all have a heart. You can't do [00:58:35] it. But many of those people are [00:58:36] murderers. They're people released from [00:58:39] jails, prisons, mental institutions, [00:58:41] insane asylums. [00:58:43] They're people that are drug dealers. [00:58:45] They're addicts. Additionally, starting [00:58:48] February 1st, we're not making any [00:58:50] payments to sanctuary cities or states [00:58:53] having sanctuary cities because they do [00:58:56] everything possible to protect criminals [00:58:58] at the expense of American citizens and [00:59:00] it breeds fraud and crime and all of the [00:59:03] other problems that come. So, we're not [00:59:04] making any payment to anybody that [00:59:06] supports sanctuary cities. [00:59:13] We have also suspended nearly 8,000 SBA [00:59:17] loans, small business association loans [00:59:21] to suspected scammers in Minnesota, of [00:59:23] which there are many. It's a great [00:59:25] state. It was a great state. Now it's [00:59:27] getting destroyed by that stupid [00:59:30] governor. What a stupid guy he is. But [00:59:32] he's a crook. I mean, he's a incompetent [00:59:35] guy, but he's a crook. He allowed this [00:59:37] to go. You can't have [00:59:40] you can't have corruption on a scale [00:59:41] that nobody's ever seen before and [00:59:43] you're sitting as a governor and you [00:59:44] don't know what's going on. It's [00:59:46] impossible. Even though he's a stupid [00:59:47] guy. [00:59:49] We're investigating large-scale visa [00:59:51] fraud and the Department of Justice has [00:59:54] already charged nearly 100 people in [00:59:56] criminal conspiracies in Minnesota. [00:59:58] They're all over the place. Last week, [01:00:00] we announced that I'm creating a brand [01:00:02] new division at the Department of [01:00:03] Justice, a legal strike force led by a [01:00:06] really tough, smart new attorney general [01:00:09] for fraud. He is a fantastic young guy. [01:00:12] He's he's so impassioned to do this [01:00:14] properly. We intend to imprison any [01:00:17] fraudster, politician, or public [01:00:19] official involved in these sick plots to [01:00:21] loot and pillage our country. Think of [01:00:24] that Elan Omar. She lives in Somalia. [01:00:28] They don't have a government. They don't [01:00:29] have a military. They don't have police. [01:00:31] They don't have anything. All they have [01:00:32] is murder and robbing ships. Bringing in [01:00:36] ships, pirates. That that's stopped. [01:00:39] Same missile. Ping. That's the end of [01:00:41] them. It's amazing how that can stop [01:00:45] corruption. Those missiles, they never [01:00:46] miss. You know, the same one. Exactly [01:00:49] the same one. But, uh, think of it. She [01:00:52] comes from a country with nothing. And [01:00:53] she comes here and she tells us about [01:00:55] our constitution. I have a [01:00:57] constitutional right to rip off the [01:01:01] country. I guess she's she's a total [01:01:03] scam artist. Anybody knows it. How do [01:01:05] you let her get away with it? AOC plus [01:01:08] three. She was one of the three. Uh [01:01:11] they're all scammers. They're so bad for [01:01:14] our country. [01:01:16] They're so bad for our country. Our ICE [01:01:18] operation in Minnesota, for example, is [01:01:20] finding hundreds of killers, violent [01:01:23] predators, and child rapists. some of [01:01:25] the worst criminal offenders anywhere in [01:01:27] the world. Murderers all over the place. [01:01:30] All we want to do is get them out. Did [01:01:32] you see the pictures that we put up? [01:01:34] Hundreds of them. Murderers wanted for [01:01:37] murder. Wanted for the worst drug [01:01:41] selling. One of them is one of the [01:01:42] biggest drug dealers in the world and [01:01:45] vicious. Sells bad drugs, too. Bad [01:01:48] drugs. Like if you take a tiny little [01:01:49] morsel, your child is dead. And we're [01:01:52] getting them. But it's hard to get them [01:01:54] because they make it so impossible for [01:01:56] you. And you wonder why? Why would they [01:01:58] do that? You know, do they want to live [01:01:59] with murderers? Do they want to live [01:02:01] with these people that are emptied out [01:02:02] from prisons? [01:02:04] They have a lot of people. One of the [01:02:05] reasons I was so angry with Venezuela, [01:02:07] they emptied their prisons almost [01:02:09] entirely into the United States of [01:02:11] America. Trend Dear was the gang, one of [01:02:15] the worst, probably the most violent [01:02:16] gang there is anywhere in the world. [01:02:18] They say we're getting them out. We've [01:02:20] got a lot of them out already, but we're [01:02:22] getting them out. We're also going to [01:02:24] revoke the citizenship of any [01:02:26] naturalized immigrant from Somalia or [01:02:29] anywhere else who is convicted of [01:02:30] defrauding our citizens. We're going to [01:02:32] get them the hell out of here fast. [01:02:38] And if you come to America to rob [01:02:40] Americans, we're throwing you in jail [01:02:42] and we're sending you back to the place [01:02:45] from where you came. We're throwing you [01:02:47] right in jail. [01:02:50] And they know it, too. And one of the [01:02:52] reasons they're doing these fake riots, [01:02:54] I mean, they're just terrible. I mean, [01:02:56] you see it's so fake. Shame, shame, [01:02:58] shame. You see the woman, that's all [01:03:00] practice. They go practice. They go to [01:03:02] areas. They take hotel rooms and they [01:03:04] all practice together. It's a whole [01:03:06] scam. We're finding out who's funding [01:03:08] all this stuff, too. We pretty much [01:03:09] know. But in conclusion, as we liberate [01:03:12] our country from this cultural scorge [01:03:14] and the plague of corruption and fraud, [01:03:18] we'll rediscover the natural energy and [01:03:20] native spirit that truly makes America [01:03:23] great again, like we're doing with [01:03:24] Detroit and Michigan. If we get rid of [01:03:27] fraud and do our job properly on the [01:03:30] trillions that are being extorted out of [01:03:32] our country from corrupt and incompetent [01:03:35] governors like Gavin Nuskum, JB Pritsker [01:03:39] and Tim Waltz, we will very soon have a [01:03:42] balanced budget. And that's the kind of [01:03:44] money that we're talking about. We're [01:03:45] talking about massive amounts of money. [01:03:47] Our country wasn't built by people who [01:03:49] tried to lie and cheat and scam their [01:03:51] way to success. It was built by legends [01:03:53] like Henry Ford. Henry Dao, Thomas [01:03:58] Edison, the Kellogg brothers, Alfred [01:04:01] Peaceloan, the founder of General [01:04:03] Motors, men who lifted up American [01:04:05] workers and strengthened our nation [01:04:07] beyond even belief. And we're doing the [01:04:09] same exact thing right now. I think [01:04:11] we're doing it even better. This is the [01:04:14] fierce spirit of patriotic free [01:04:16] enterprise that we're now unleashing [01:04:18] once again. We are unleashing it like [01:04:20] maybe never before. Together, we have [01:04:23] turned the page forever on the failed [01:04:25] left-wing model that [01:04:28] makes our America poor, desolate, and [01:04:32] makes people feel sorry for us. That's [01:04:34] what we had. We had a country where our [01:04:37] leader was laughed at, and our country [01:04:39] was scorned. [01:04:41] We had a country that was laughed at. [01:04:44] They laughed at us two years ago. They [01:04:46] laughed at us. They thought we were [01:04:48] fools. They thought we were stupid [01:04:49] people. [01:04:51] Now, we're seeing that they're not the [01:04:52] smart ones. We are, but we have a great [01:04:55] America, and we're going to enrich it. [01:04:58] And foreign nations, foreign migrants, [01:05:00] criminal fraudsters, and corrupt [01:05:02] politicians are not going to play a role [01:05:04] anymore. They're going to be in jail. [01:05:06] Under the Trump administration, we're [01:05:08] reclaiming America's dignity, rebuilding [01:05:10] America's wealth, and we're putting the [01:05:13] productive, hardworking American citizen [01:05:15] at the center of every single thing that [01:05:17] we do. They were the ones that built [01:05:19] America and they will build it up again. [01:05:22] And that's what they're doing at levels [01:05:23] nobody thought was possible. So today, [01:05:26] after less than one year, our border is [01:05:29] secure. Remember they talked about the [01:05:31] border, how bad in three weeks I didn't [01:05:34] go to Congress. I said, "Secure our [01:05:37] border." And they did. [01:05:41] Remember Biden? He said, "I have to get [01:05:43] approval from Congress." Had nothing to [01:05:45] do with Congress. had to do with [01:05:47] respect. Our spirit is restored. [01:05:51] Inflation is stopped. Wages are up. [01:05:53] Prices are down. Our economy is booming [01:05:55] like I think you'll see soon, like never [01:05:58] before. Our military is strong and [01:06:00] unprecedented. I rebuilt our military in [01:06:03] my first term. Our workers are thriving [01:06:06] and our auto industry is returning to [01:06:08] the country where we all [01:06:11] began and where it all began. and [01:06:13] frankly a country that we love. The [01:06:16] United States is winning again and we're [01:06:17] rapidly making America and the great [01:06:19] state of Michigan greater and more [01:06:21] prosperous than ever before. I want to [01:06:24] again thank the Detroit Economic Club. [01:06:26] You do a fantastic job. So respected. [01:06:28] God bless you and God bless America. [01:06:30] Thank you very much everybody. Thank [01:06:32] you.
