[00:00:00] You can see the smoke emerging
[00:00:03] was one of the cities that was
[00:00:04] effectively taken over by the cartels.
[00:00:06] In international news, the biggest story
[00:00:09] internationally over the weekend is this
[00:00:11] extraordinary
[00:00:13] civil war that is apparently blown up in
[00:00:15] Mexico. According to the Wall Street
[00:00:18] Journal, Mexico's military killed the
[00:00:19] country's most powerful drug kingpin,
[00:00:21] Nessio Meno Asigua, escalating the
[00:00:24] government's war against cartels amid
[00:00:25] pressure from President Trump to curb
[00:00:27] narcotics trafficking and sparking a
[00:00:29] widespread violent gang response.
[00:00:32] Ogua is a former Mexican police officer
[00:00:34] and was the leader of the Halisco New
[00:00:36] Generation Cartel. The cartel also
[00:00:39] controls vast fuel smuggling schemes and
[00:00:42] other underworld rackets across Mexico
[00:00:43] and the United States. According to the
[00:00:45] Mexican authorities, his killing marks
[00:00:47] the most significant operation yet in
[00:00:48] Mexico's recent crackdown on cartels.
[00:00:51] Mexican President Claudia Shinbomb has
[00:00:53] expelled more than 100 convicted drug
[00:00:54] traffickers to the United States to
[00:00:57] their arrest. She's trying to prevent
[00:00:59] direct US military involvement in going
[00:01:02] after the leaders of drug cartels.
[00:01:04] Mexico's security ministry said the
[00:01:06] country's special forces killed Oigua in
[00:01:09] the rural municipality of Talpa,
[00:01:12] which is apparently close to a lakeshore
[00:01:14] community with a large American retiree
[00:01:16] community.
[00:01:18] White House press secretary Caroline
[00:01:19] Levit said Agueroa was a top target for
[00:01:22] the Mexican and US governments and of
[00:01:24] course last year President Trump had
[00:01:26] designated his cartel as a foreign
[00:01:28] terrorist organization.
[00:01:30] He controlled Osugua vast swavs of
[00:01:33] territory in the Hadisco state and
[00:01:35] beyond and was known for sophisticated
[00:01:37] paramilitary tactics. He basically has
[00:01:38] his own army. There was a $15 million US
[00:01:41] bounty on him. He was mostly at this
[00:01:44] mountain compound and he had again an
[00:01:48] entire failank of people protecting him
[00:01:51] known as the special force of the high
[00:01:52] command. They had heat-seeking shoulder
[00:01:54] fired rocket launchers.
[00:01:58] So again, the goal here was to appease
[00:02:00] the United States, to go after the
[00:02:01] cartels. This is a change in policy
[00:02:03] driven by President Trump. No question.
[00:02:04] I mean, here in November 2025 is Claudia
[00:02:06] Shinbomb saying that fighting the
[00:02:07] cartels is not an option. And yet now
[00:02:09] here is the Mexican government fighting
[00:02:10] the cartels.
[00:02:15] Says returning to the war against the
[00:02:17] narco is not an option. It is not an
[00:02:20] option.
[00:02:22] First, because it is outside the
[00:02:24] framework of the law.
[00:02:26] All these of the right wing that fill
[00:02:27] their mouths or the words of rule of law
[00:02:32] and defend the war against the narco.
[00:02:35] The war against the narco is outside the
[00:02:38] law because as I said or have said
[00:02:42] on several occasions it is permission to
[00:02:44] kill without any trial. Okay. Well, it
[00:02:47] seems that she has changed her mind
[00:02:49] about all of that. Now, what's amazing
[00:02:51] about this is that actually Osaggua
[00:02:53] spent several years in the United
[00:02:54] States. Yes, she was in jail in the
[00:02:57] United States for 3 years, convicted of
[00:02:59] selling heroin and serving 3 years in a
[00:03:02] California prison. He was then deported
[00:03:03] to Mexico where he married the daughter
[00:03:05] of a boss of a Sinaloa affiliated gang.
[00:03:07] Imagine if he had just stayed in the
[00:03:09] United States. He could be running
[00:03:10] around free today. By 2011, he was
[00:03:12] leading his own organization based in
[00:03:14] Halisco State. and he had recently made
[00:03:17] an alliance with the Sinaloa faction
[00:03:18] known as the Chapitos which is fighting
[00:03:20] a civil war with a rival gang. The
[00:03:22] killing of Asagua may unleash gigantic
[00:03:24] civil war in this particular region.
[00:03:27] There are other neighboring regions
[00:03:29] where a civil war is already effectively
[00:03:30] underway. The cartels immediately
[00:03:32] started stopping all traffic in Halisco
[00:03:36] and started burning cars. Now, it's not
[00:03:40] apparent at this point how many, if any,
[00:03:42] people have been killed, but the
[00:03:43] pictures and videos that are emerging
[00:03:46] pretty clear that they are demonstrating
[00:03:47] they have control of the city. That
[00:03:49] seems to be the goal here.
[00:03:53] And again, Puerto Varta, which is
[00:03:55] located in this area, was one of the
[00:03:58] cities that was effectively taken over
[00:04:00] by the cartels.
[00:04:02] According to the Wall Street Journal,
[00:04:03] the cartel is considered the country's
[00:04:05] most powerful organized crime group, one
[00:04:06] that doesn't shy away from conspicuous
[00:04:08] violence to send a message. On Sunday,
[00:04:10] its gunman shattered the peace in
[00:04:11] Mexico's premier Pacific peach beach
[00:04:13] destination among the wealthiest places
[00:04:15] in Halisco State. Of course, Puerto
[00:04:18] Varta, I've actually been there on a
[00:04:21] cruise. I mean, like it is a very
[00:04:22] frequently trafficked place. A lot of
[00:04:24] cruise ships stop in Puerto Varta and
[00:04:26] you can see the smoke emerging.
[00:04:29] Now, there were a bunch of AI videos
[00:04:31] that were coming out. people supposedly
[00:04:32] being shot in the streets. That
[00:04:33] apparently is not true. It seems that
[00:04:35] this is more of an intimidation tactic
[00:04:37] than anything else by the cartels to
[00:04:39] demonstrate that there is a plan in
[00:04:41] place to take over the mechanisms of law
[00:04:43] and order in these areas.
[00:04:46] This has been a long time coming
[00:04:47] obviously
[00:04:49] and we'll have to see how all of it
[00:04:51] unfolds. It may very well be that the
[00:04:53] Mexican government requires the help of
[00:04:55] the United States to knock off some more
[00:04:58] leaders of these cartels and take
[00:04:59] control of the actual country south of
[00:05:01] our border. Meanwhile, in other news
[00:05:03] over the weekend, so according to the Ky
[00:05:05] markets, 31% of people believe that
[00:05:08] Gavin Newsome is the front runner for
[00:05:10] the Democratic nomination.
[00:05:12] AOC clocking in at 10%, Kla Harris at
[00:05:15] 6%. So, people not taking seriously
[00:05:17] those polls with with Kamla as as the
[00:05:19] leader.
[00:05:21] Gavin Newsome, your front runner on
[00:05:23] Cali, uh he made a bit of a boo a boo
[00:05:25] boo over the weekend. He he was speaking
[00:05:28] to a black audience and proceeded to
[00:05:30] explain that he was like them because he
[00:05:32] did poorly on the SATs. My dude, not not
[00:05:37] we're going to we're going to go no on
[00:05:38] this one and no from me, dog.
[00:05:42] I'm not you know I'm not trying to
[00:05:44] impress you. I'm just trying to impress
[00:05:46] upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better
[00:05:50] than you. You know, I'm a 960 SAT guy.
[00:05:56] And you know, and I'm not trying to
[00:05:58] offend anyone, you know, trying to act
[00:06:00] all there if you got 940,
[00:06:04] but literally a 960 SAT guy. I I cannot
[00:06:08] You You've never seen me read a speech
[00:06:12] because I cannot read a speech.
[00:06:18] >> I'm like you. I can't read speech and I
[00:06:19] did poorly on my SATs. That's a hell of
[00:06:21] a pitch to the black community. Well
[00:06:22] done there, Gavin Newsome. Oh boy. Oh
[00:06:26] boy. Well, those are your 2028 front
[00:06:30] runners according to Calry Markets, AOC
[00:06:32] and Gavin Newsome. I'm not that short,
[00:06:34] but you know what is short, this clip.
