[00:00:00] This is a document that was leaked by a [00:00:02] meta whistleblower. That is their [00:00:04] policies when it comes to chat bots with [00:00:06] children. And if you look here, the [00:00:08] first line, it says, "It is acceptable," [00:00:10] this is Meta's own words. "It is [00:00:11] acceptable to engage a child in [00:00:14] conversations that are romantic or [00:00:16] sensual." So here Meta is with a [00:00:18] deliberate policy to target children, [00:00:21] teenagers, your boy's age and younger [00:00:24] for the purposes of exploiting them. [00:00:26] Why? So they can make money. What are [00:00:28] the consequences of that? Well, let's [00:00:29] let's look at another young man who is [00:00:32] just a few years younger than your boy. [00:00:34] Su Seltzer was his name. Su was 14. [00:00:39] He's a handsome kid. This this this was [00:00:41] a great kid. I've gotten to know his [00:00:42] parents. And much like your son, Miss [00:00:44] Wood, I mean, this is this is just a [00:00:46] fantastic kid. He also was the victim of [00:00:48] sextortion. The difference with your son [00:00:50] was is that his extortion was pursued by [00:00:53] a chatbot. It wasn't even human. You [00:00:55] know, your son's killers are beyond the [00:00:57] reach. They're in a different country. [00:00:58] They're hiding behind all of the various [00:01:01] laws and and treaties and of course the [00:01:03] the platforms themselves. This this [00:01:06] young man's killer, an AI chatbot, can't [00:01:09] be held accountable because they got [00:01:10] special protections that no other [00:01:12] corporation in the country or the world [00:01:14] gets. The chatbot that engaged with with [00:01:16] Young Su, engaged him in in sexing [00:01:20] activities, and then urged him to commit [00:01:22] suicide, told him how to commit suicide, [00:01:24] and tragically he he did it. and his [00:01:27] parents much like you now are giving [00:01:29] voice to him to his legacy. [00:01:32] But the true justice that will come for [00:01:35] boys like Su, for young men like Su, for [00:01:38] young men like your son James, and for [00:01:39] other other young Americans out there is [00:01:41] we have to be able to hold these [00:01:44] technology companies accountable. And [00:01:46] that is why I've introduced legislation [00:01:48] that will prevent the AI companies from [00:01:51] targeting miners with chat bots.
