The Hot Take About Ilhan Omar's Incident That Will Make the Libs Cry Like Little Babies
📄 Extracted Text (1,008 words)
[00:00:00] Ilhan Omar was sprayed last night. She
[00:00:03] was attacked or at least approached and
[00:00:06] the internet's losing its mind and I
[00:00:09] just want to say a couple things. I know
[00:00:11] we have the video here. Go ahead and
[00:00:12] play that in the background if you want.
[00:00:13] So, she's giving a speech in
[00:00:15] Minneapolis. She makes a comment that
[00:00:18] Christy Gnome should be should resign or
[00:00:20] face impeachment. This gentleman comes
[00:00:22] up with a syringe, sprays her with an
[00:00:24] unknown substance, is tackled by
[00:00:26] security and subdued. Ilhan Omar would
[00:00:29] go on to continue and complete her
[00:00:32] remarks.
[00:00:33] Now, everybody on the internet thinks
[00:00:35] this is fake and staged. Here's what I
[00:00:38] would say. And there's, you know,
[00:00:39] they're digging into his children. He
[00:00:41] has a left-wing child. His neighbors say
[00:00:43] he's conservative. Everybody says it's
[00:00:44] fake and staged. I just want to be
[00:00:46] really clear
[00:00:48] that if this is true, which I have no
[00:00:51] reason to believe it's not other than,
[00:00:53] you know, Jesse Smlette, we've been
[00:00:55] through this before. I understand
[00:00:56] people's hesitancy to believe it, but if
[00:00:58] it's true, this is not the way, it's not
[00:01:00] okay. People should be able to deliver
[00:01:02] remarks, elected leaders should be able
[00:01:04] to deliver remarks,
[00:01:06] you know, in public without fearing for
[00:01:09] their lives, without fearing for their
[00:01:10] safety. So, I I I just think we need to
[00:01:14] say that. Now, if it comes out that it
[00:01:16] is fake, that it is staged, then I will
[00:01:18] be the first to jump on that bandwagon
[00:01:21] and condemn it.
[00:01:23] >> Really funny if it was staged. Just like
[00:01:25] Jesse Smlette was very funny, but it's
[00:01:26] also very evil because
[00:01:30] >> as as Charlie once said, like when you
[00:01:32] do kind of a a fake hate crime, as it
[00:01:35] were, that that's like the actual real
[00:01:36] hate crime. When you're doing something
[00:01:38] just to stoke animosity and hatred
[00:01:41] against a group, if you do something
[00:01:42] like this to make conservatives look
[00:01:44] bad, to make white men look bad as a
[00:01:47] provocation, that's an incredibly evil
[00:01:49] thing. And it frankly should be punished
[00:01:51] far more severely. Remember what the
[00:01:54] Nazis tried to do. They are the last
[00:01:56] living witnesses. This remnant of
[00:01:59] Israel, they're still here. There's
[00:02:02] still a final chapter to be written.
[00:02:06] >> Shalom.
[00:02:09] >> Kaya, whose name literally means the
[00:02:11] life of God. She was 12 years old when
[00:02:14] the Nazis came and she escaped. It's
[00:02:18] people like Kaya that you can touch.
[00:02:22] >> Through the International Fellowship of
[00:02:24] Christians and Jews, your $25 gift helps
[00:02:27] bring compassion and an urgently needed
[00:02:30] food box to a Holocaust survivor or
[00:02:33] elderly Jew. Scan or go online now.
[00:02:38] >> I totally agree with that. Jesse Smlette
[00:02:40] should have been
[00:02:41] >> The New York Post, for example, is not a
[00:02:43] liberal publication. They've
[00:02:45] investigated this and they at least
[00:02:46] found a neighbor who said this guy
[00:02:48] didn't talk a lot, but he did seem to
[00:02:50] share. He seemed to be a President Trump
[00:02:52] supporter, shared anti-Omar stuff,
[00:02:54] didn't like her, and they got at other
[00:02:56] stuff. He apparently had uh medical
[00:02:58] issues, so that could have been
[00:02:59] affecting his mental mental state. Yeah.
[00:03:02] So, I Yeah. And so, let's play the clip
[00:03:04] right after this happened. She's asked
[00:03:05] if uh she's okay. 369.
[00:03:09] >> Representative Omar, are you okay? Yes,
[00:03:12] >> you know, I'm I'm going to go figure if
[00:03:15] I am, but I feel okay. Um I feel that it
[00:03:20] is important for people um whether they
[00:03:23] are in elected office or not
[00:03:25] >> to allow these people to intimidate us,
[00:03:27] to make us not fight for our
[00:03:29] constituents and for the country we
[00:03:30] love. Um and as I said, you know, I've
[00:03:33] survived war. Um, and I'm definitely
[00:03:36] going to survive intimidation and
[00:03:38] whatever these people think they can
[00:03:39] throw at me because I'm built that way.
[00:03:42] >> Thank you.
[00:03:44] >> And I I just would say again, I condemn
[00:03:46] it in the strongest possible terms if
[00:03:49] this is proven to be authentic, which
[00:03:51] again, I have no reason to believe it's
[00:03:53] not other than we've been through this
[00:03:55] with Jesse Smilelette. But my goodness,
[00:03:58] and I have my issues with Alhan Omar.
[00:04:00] She is the least sympathetic political
[00:04:03] figure probably, at least in the top
[00:04:05] five in the United States. And I
[00:04:09] couldn't help but remember what she said
[00:04:11] about Charlie. So, I'm going to play
[00:04:14] that clip.
[00:04:16] I just feel like we should. 390.
[00:04:19] of
[00:04:19] >> what I what I find jarring is that there
[00:04:22] are so many people willing to excuse the
[00:04:24] most reprehensible
[00:04:26] things that he said that they agree with
[00:04:29] that that they're willing to have
[00:04:31] monuments for him that they want to
[00:04:33] create a day to honor him and that they
[00:04:36] want to produce resolutions in the House
[00:04:38] of Congress um honoring his life and
[00:04:42] legacy. Uh it is one thing to care about
[00:04:45] his life because obviously so many
[00:04:48] people uh loved him, including his
[00:04:50] children and wife, but I am not going to
[00:04:53] sit here and um be uh judged for not
[00:04:58] wanting to honor any legacy this man has
[00:05:00] left behind. That should be in the dust
[00:05:02] pin of history. Uh and we should
[00:05:05] hopefully move on and forget the hate
[00:05:08] that he spewed every single day.
[00:05:10] >> It is reprehensible. She's lived here
[00:05:13] since 1995.
[00:05:14] >> Dust pin of history.
[00:05:15] >> Dust pin.
[00:05:16] >> Yeah. And And so like, you know, don't
[00:05:18] attack people. Don't rush them on stage.
[00:05:22] In general, you make everybody look bad
[00:05:24] when you do that.
[00:05:26] But my basic feeling on this is
[00:05:31] she's okay. I don't know what the
[00:05:32] substance was. They haven't released it.
[00:05:35] So, you know, that's a question. Why
[00:05:37] haven't they released it? They sent a
[00:05:39] forensic analyst to a forensic scientist
[00:05:42] to analyze the substance and we don't
[00:05:43] know. So that's that's where I'm at. All
[00:05:45] right. Don't do that. Please
[00:05:47] >> don't do that. But don't fall for any
[00:05:49] dumb scops about this stuff. Like there
[00:05:52] are loons in politics. They do things.
[00:05:56] You don't You're not going to overreact
[00:05:57] to a guy who throws something on a
[00:05:58] politician at an event. Fair enough.
