Subject: velocity in time — last word
I've wondered about yr thougts on "time velocity," a reading of basic physics: as you approach c,
you lose velocity (or speed) in time, reaching 0-in-time at c. 0 vel measured in space equals max
attainable velocity in time (a constant related to c). The spectrum's endpoints are 0 in space & 0
in time. It's not a priori clear why you can't go faster than c, but is clear that you can't go slower
(in time) than stopped. "Stopped" in space equals max-rate thundering through time. Nothing to
do w/ physics, only philosophy.
Whether or not we talk a ain, pls consider checking out my colleague Drew McDermott
). Schank will back me up. Drew is a brilliant AI man from a math
background, too low-key to get the attn he deserves. (He & I have met wkly for years to argue
machine consciousness, etc. Never yet agreed on anything.) Thanks--
David
