[00:00:00] I I would also like to take a moment to
[00:00:03] address today's Supreme Court ruling and
[00:00:05] I would note that I did not change a
[00:00:07] single word in my speech the post the
[00:00:10] ruling. President Trump will always put
[00:00:13] our national security and Americans
[00:00:14] first and as I have said before the
[00:00:17] president has multiple tools in his
[00:00:19] toolbox. Let's be clear about what
[00:00:22] today's ruling was and what it wasn't.
[00:00:25] Despite the misplaced gloating from
[00:00:27] Democrats,
[00:00:29] ill-informed media outlets, and the very
[00:00:32] people who gutted our industrial base,
[00:00:34] the court did not rule against President
[00:00:37] Trump's tariffs. Six justices simply
[00:00:41] ruled that IEPA authorities cannot be
[00:00:45] used to raise even $1 of revenue. This
[00:00:49] administration will invoke alternative
[00:00:51] legal authorities to replace the AIPA
[00:00:54] tariffs. We will be leveraging section
[00:00:57] 232 and section 301 tariff authorities
[00:01:00] that have been validated through
[00:01:02] thousands of legal challenges.
[00:01:05] Treasury's estimates show that the use
[00:01:08] of section 122 authority combined with
[00:01:11] potentially enhanced section 232 and
[00:01:14] section 301 tariffs will result in
[00:01:17] virtually unchanged tariff revenue in
[00:01:20] 2026.
